Google
Love this store! But I want to highlight Dan, the Deli Manager. You can tell Dan takes pride in his work, and during the holidays, a well run deli is imperative for a smooth holiday dinner! Thanks Dan for always taking good care of us!

Google
Don't shop there a lot but if you have to find organic or wild caught seafood the best place to shop. Plus a lot of option to choose if you are vegetarian and want to avoid meat items. But need to have time because you read ingredients to know what is good and what is not good for you as vegetarian.

This local market provides quality and unique food products. You would never think there are so many choices. They offer a variety of bulk spices and dry goods. Their meats are fresh from local vendors. We bought some chicken thighs for grilling accompanied by some delish salad from the deli. If you’re not sure what salad to get, they will gladly give a sample to try. Whether you want to cook something special or need a side for your meal, this is the place. Prices are slightly more but it’s worth it. Great service and it’s clean. A nice welcome than other ho-hum grocery stores.

Google
I love this store. The people working there are great! I'm not sure what's going on with produce though. It's very expensive considering it's not in the best of shape. There are some things though that are fantastic, like the pineapples are ripe and very high quality. The price on those makes sense. So, hit and miss I guess! Overall, great store, has things I have trouble finding elsewhere, like A2 milk.

Google
Love this store. I drive all the way from Battle Ground to shop here. They carry Alpenrose dairy products which are my favorite and I believe the only stores that do it our area. So many choices for good clean food and yummy treats.

Google
Oooooohh! Got two pizzas to go tonight. Ordered them ahead. They are delicious! Super thin crust and fantastic flavor! Staff was really nice and friendly both when I called in the order and when I picked up! #pizza

I used to love going here because of the exceptional customer service even though it's more expensive. To me, it was worth it. Today I was not even greeted. Not even a HELLO?! The cashier and bagger just chatted with each other the whole time, I felt invisible. I am done shopping here moving forward.

Google
I wanted to take a moment to thank the crew who were quick and efficient during thanksgiving dinner pick up! they deserve a shout out. cheers!

Yelp
Ordered gluten free Thanksgiving dinner delivered last year. It was great. A few things weren't perfect for me,, but they did as good as they could without gluten. And a couple of people liked the things I didn't.

Yelp
First time, by a recommendation for breakfast. If you're running on the clock in the morning, this might be the stop for you. This was more of a cafeteria meal or a hotel stay type of breakfast. After serving out of the warmer, my breakfast got cold walking to checkout. I had to put in microwave to warm. If I were NS I would move there daily near the sitting area, with a self check out.

Yelp
Manager Corry very disrespectful and threatening to have us removed from the store, we will never shop there again as long as they have a manager like him and the manager he said told him to tell us we will be removed from the store because we can not have our 1st amendment right at the store!!!

Yelp
This place carries a lot of items she can't find most of their places. Really clean, very modern, and comfortable store. The downside, for me, is that the prices are quite high. Important to take advantage of the sales and using their app could be helpful in recognizing sale items. If price is of little or no concern to you, you're likely to adore this store! Note: Wisdom Wednesdays offer a 10% discount on everything for seniors.

Bateman C.

Yelp
The catering trays were really nice. The size of a 1/4 sheet cake tray. Staff were really helpful.

Yelp
Typical December day in the northwest. Decided to come into new seasons to get a bite to eat, and some fresh fish. Of course, I'll stroll the isles to see what else I must have. All of the food service here is amazing. From the deli, to the bakery, to the meat and fish and beyond. I love their fresh salad bar. What a great day to come in. Enjoy the amazing fresh salad bar and relax on a rainy day.

Yelp
Because Jesus forgave me, I forgive them. Have a good day. God bless. Matthew 6:14-15

Yelp
WAY WAY Overpriced on many items. Also, at a recent trip to the store both the baker and self checkout personnel had attitude problems. There was no interest in assisting the customer and they seemed to think they were superior.

Yelp
Love, love, love this beautiful store from the high quality produce to clean body care products to robust deli to hot, organic coffee. This is the biggest NS store that I know of, and it's wonderfully organized and bright with a lot of natural light. Service is always good and the cafe area is welcoming and quiet. I'm a fan and come here about once 2-3 months.

Yelp
New Seasons never disappoints. Great sales, rewards program, high quality and locally sourced groceries, and delicious house made meals/bakery items. We often opt for an easy dinner coming straight from the New Seasons kitchen. My go-to: the addictive smoked mozzarella pasta salad and chicken tenders w/ New Seasons buttermilk ranch. We now buy the ranch by the bottle because it's so good. Just heat the tenders up in your oven's broiler for 3-4 mins/side and they crisp right up. Tasty, delicious, and fresh! Employees at New Seasons are always perky and helpful and the store is always clean and well-stocked. I've lived in 4 states and New Seasons is within my top 2 grocery stores!

Yelp
It would be five stars but they carry Lesser Evil popcorn which is owned by fascists. When you lose your rights, remember who was pushing products made by people taking those rights away. Dump Lesser Evil products.

David B.

Yelp
The lady with glasses and braided hair who works the morning shift is very rude. Couldn't see her name tag but her service was unwelcoming.
google avatar

Yelp
Checked new seasons. I typically don't shop here because the prices are quite a bit higher. But I'm classic form if you're looking for organic and "healthy" food options this is a good store to check out. Service is fast and friendly.

Yelp
Overrated store. Considering that their logo is the nicest workers in town- they're def not. I had the absolute worst experience in florals. Came at around 7 pm- chose flowers and floral dept was closed so they sent a random guy.. he chopped up the flowers and then couldn't put them together.. then he had the audacity to tell me I'm stressing him out by watching him put MY bouquet together. I ended up paying over $70 for a little broom. Lesson learned- don't go there for flowers after floral dept is closed because they will send someone who's not qualified to put together a bouquet that's overpriced and horrible and then will attempt to place blame on you, the customer.

Melisa O.

Yelp
I've been to this New Seasons for my personal shopping before (rare since it's overpriced and pretentious) but this instance I was here as an Uber driver ("shop and pay" for a customer.) Worst experience ever. "Friendly Neighborhood Store" Ha. Far from it. 1.) They were out of many of the items the customer requested. There's nobody really to blame in this situation, but it's amazing that three or four of the items the customer wanted I was told by an employee that you don't even carry them anymore, so I'm not sure how the customer was able to order them? 2.) I couldn't find these particular hamburger buns and the bread aisle was pretty picked over so I asked an employee for help and she said she would go check in the back. I told her I would stay in the aisle and wait for her to come back and she said ok. I noticed it's been a couple minutes and I come out of the aisle and I see her standing there talking to somebody and I look at her and I say "did they not have it" and she goes "yeah I didn't see anything." And I said "well I've been waiting for you to come back and let me know" and she just looked at me. 3.) This is the best one. I get to the checkout and I noticed the person in front of me was buying some plants, but she was chatting with the checker and then I realize she was an employee. He does the transaction and she pays for it, but she is still standing there because they continue to talk. My items are on the conveyor belt and I'm kind of looking at him like is he gonna acknowledge me? They continue to chat and so I interrupt them and I said "hi. This is for Uber so I am gonna need a bag and if you're able to, can you please put them all in one?" (There were only 6-7 items.). He looks up at me and he looks annoyed and immediately asks me for the QR code and I said oh no there's no QR code with this one. Then he continues to question me about it and I said not all of the stores have a QR code. STILL questions me to the point where I show him the app and I tell him there's no QR code and then he says "well I believe you, but I was told there's a QR code." And I said to him that is why I showed you the screen because it doesn't sound like you believe me. Then it comes back with " oh this is my first Uber order so I'm just not sure." Meanwhile, he and the plant lady are continuing to have a conversation and he is scanning the items so slowly, almost like he intentionally does not want to help me. And I'm sitting there looking at both of them because this is so absolutely inappropriate and rude and I cannot believe I'm witnessing this. So I finally say " I'm really sorry that I interrupted whatever conversation you were having but I'm timed on this order so if you could just scan the rest of my items, then I can get going and you can continue to have this conversation." Plant girl looked at me like she was so confused and he finally sped it up and I was out the door. I was so baffled with this interaction and I realize they only saw me as an Uber driver and not as a customer or a potential customer. But one thing is certain. I will not be shopping there ever again and I will also not be going there to pick up an uber order again. I wish I would've gotten their names because I would absolutely be calling management on this one.

Yelp
I stopped by the floral department yesterday afternoon for a bouquet for a funeral service. I couldn't be happier with the service I received along with a very beautiful bouquet. Thank you!

Yelp
I stopped in for a baguette about 3 pm on a Friday and the bakery section was decimated: there were no baguettes, no rolls, and really no bread but a few random loafs here and there. It was as if the entire bakery staff had called in sick for the day. I stood around for a while to see if anyone was working the section, to ask if bread would come out later; no one was in the bakery, no other workers stopped to ask if they could help with anything though several passed me by. I ended up going to Fred Meyer which had plenty of what I was looking for. My general impression of this New Seasons? The people that work there do not care if you shop there or not. They might even prefer that you do not.

Yelp
What a wonderful place . Was looking for greens for a hamster I want to say was willing to pay for them. But the product worker was there and gave me a mixed bag of greens there we to be taken to the compost. I really appreciated that. Also I appreciate the cashier who helped me check out and gave me the apricots I bought for free since the 2 pc didn't even register. Took the star off for the miso chicken sausage... was way to salty and really didn't taste or cook well... sad to say it just oozed out of the casing but was just a salt taste.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
High quality foods, great breads, deli, and bakery. A little more expensive but worth every penny.
google avatar

Ivan Z.

Yelp
Beautiful store, reminds me of what Whole Foods used to be. Friendly service at the register. The true reason for this post tho, is for the breakfast bar. Boy! I purchased the ham & swiss bfast croissant for $4.99. Price isn't the issue. The issue was I had to take 3 big bites before I could get to any cheese or meat. And once I got to the substance, it was extremely lackluster. For this, I would give the bfast Sammie 1 star.
google avatar

Cindy W.

Yelp
Went shopping with my husband and children. Tried to buy a bottle of sake along with a full cart of groceries and forgot I only had my expired license on me while waiting for my new one in the mail. They made such a big deal of not even letting my husband buy it with his ID because they knew it would be "for me". Um no, we are a family buying it to marinate fish for our dinner. Not for me, someone who is clearly well over 21, to go chug in the parking lot Sad, sad people who were clearly power tripping while working at a grocery store. Friendly, definitely not.

Yelp
My first impression of Portland is that people (not all, but a noticeable amount) like to brandish their oddness much like peacocks show off their colors. I never really got to experience it outside reality television until I visited the Concordia location of this chain. The Fisher's Landing location is a lot more suburban bourgeoisie. It's also a larger store with a larger parking lot and ready to go meals in larger containers. (I love their roasted brussel sprouts!) It's a happy find for me because I thought I was doomed to meander the one lane roads to Concordia after work and because I'm losing Gelson's, Lazy Acres and Sprouts. :( Gelson's has the soups I'll miss. Lazy Acres has the edge on their grilled chicken by adding rosemary and using Mary's organic. Sprouts has their amazing wellness section. I notice they also don't have PCC this far south of Seattle. Not sure what I'm going to do about the above, but I will say that NSM does do well what they do. Both stores nail the aesthetics. Produce and butcher seem to be top notch. It's going to take a little more exploring to see where they eclipse the competition but I'm pleased with what I see so far.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of New Seasons market. I've been a patron of their Happy Valley, Oregon location for over ten years. The Fisher's Landing location is nice, although not as big as Happy Valley. Most of the employees are very friendly and helpful. If you're not familiar with New Seasons, it is a pricey, upscale shop that carries TONS of local items, labels where all fresh items came from (which farm grew which items, where they source their seafood from, etc.). They have a shockingly great bakery (some of the best ciabatta and epi I've ever had, anywhere in the world), and a huge selection of excellent cheeses from local artisans and also from around the world. If you need some great baked goods, and high-quality local goods, look no further than New Seasons.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I love New Seasons! It's wonderful having a local store that supports so many local Businesses and fancy imports. I can always count on them to have an assortment of cheeses, great produce, and lots of fresh meat/seafood. The meat department carries lots of ready to cook options that come in handy for BBQ Season too. Lots of wine & beer, hot sauces, special diet products annnnd don't forget amazing fresh baked bread. Yumm! In summer you can find an assortment of plants, flowers, and ive even popped in before during an event and saw a live band. They make a great spot to grab a quick lunch bite and take in the moment.

Yelp
Wow the variety and selections are crazy impressive. The hanging plants outfront always draw me in because I'm a plant nut. The bread, the meats, the vegetables, supplements, soaps and cool gift ideas too. Hand made soaps. Fresh pet foods, never have a long wait at check out! Ive never had trouble finding staff when I can't find something... usually rare! Dont go in just cause I like it. Go in so you can calmly grocery shop with tons of healthy options and fun stuff too. It's a pleasure to shop here. Staff are always nice.

Yelp
Went to get my Como bread 1 whole 1 sliced went across town looking for this special bread and the sliced had holes not usable 2/3 of it was thrown away so I attempted to slice the whole loaf and it was hard and old I mean old old so we got non of the bread ! Very unhappy won't go back since I got ripped off the first time.

Yelp
Like its kissing cousin Whole Foods, New Seasons tends to cater to people who prefer organic groceries, high quality meats and veggies, a large variety of upscale wines, beers and micro brews' cheeses, health supplements, and the like. That in itself is an admirable thing, and I love the freshness and quality I know I will find here. There is, of course, a price premium attached, but that is to be expected. My only complaint is that on a recent visit, I was looking for a party tray of cheeses, and another one of veggies, for a quick in-and-out shopping trip, and wasn't able to find either. I ended up having to go to the Fred Meyer across the street. Besides that, I often come here to try out some exotic new beer or cider, and rarely am I disappointed in that regard.

Mike Y.

Yelp
Stopped by to pick up local goods for souvenirs. Karen was super helpful with suggestions. We got some Portland chocolates, coffee, and jam. Thank you Karen!

Yelp
Once I discovered Whole Foods used to be in Vancouver but is gone, I was like OK, I'll probably find another store. Here's where New Seasons comes into play! I really like this place and location. I also shop at the one in Portland as it's near my job. No weird vibes here - it's clean, the weekly ad is really nice, and I find all the vegan goodies that I need. Hell, my husband even found fresh made wagyu beef burger patties that he really enjoyed! My husband and I love the variety of local alcohol! I no longer go to Whole Foods (I miss y'all up in University Place, WA) as the vibe is really awful in Portland locations and the employees are rude. I'm now loyal to New Seasons!

Katerina E.

Yelp
My favorite grocery store. Lovely people, reasonable prices, great variety and quality of produce. There are a few other grocery stores closer to my house, but I specifically drive to this one because I enjoy shopping here
google avatar

Keith K.

Yelp
New Seasons sells a lot of stuff, but this review is strictly about the flower section of the store. Located just inside one of the main entrances, the flower corner is just that, tucked up against the front corner of the store and the produce section as you walk in. It's not a huge flower selection, but everything they have was fresh and in the hands of Bria (she's kinda "the" flower lady at New Seasons), a wonderful bouquet was created for an important Birthday. Independent flower shops have in a large way been pushed out by the grocery store flower sections. In Vancouver I had a hard time finding a real flower shop, and in that sense, New Seasons flower corner comes as close as you can to that quality of feel and service. Kudos to Bria, her arrangement was greatly appreciated.

Yelp
This is such a great store!! The best customer service ever. Every time I have any questions about supplements I always go see Nicole in the Wellness section. She is so knowledgeable and friendly.

Jay B.

Yelp
I came in shopping for a beverage during my travels for the day, spent about 5 minutes in the store. The large middle aged dude working self checkout on Saturday morning came off as aggressive towards me. They spoke with a tone that made me feel they assumed I was dumb and they were in a hurry to get me out of the store. I'm Super turned off by this experience and feel discriminated against. Other than that, the Store appeared clean, well kept with a very good selection. I feel that this new seasons store must work on their communication with store guests because it did not come across as a welcoming and fulfilling experience.
google avatar

Diane S.

Yelp
I was so impressed with the service I got at the fish counter. My husband is allergic to shellfish that have 8 legs but can eat shallops and clams. I explained my concern and was delighted when the kind man, said he would get some from the back that had not been handled yet. They were even bigger than the large ones in the case . I can't wait to fix them for our New Year's Eve dinner.
google avatar

Yuen L.

Yelp
Their kalamata olive ciabatta rolls are to die for! Especially right out of the oven if you're lucky enough to get it piping hot and fresh! I've never had such excellent bread in the US before ;this is comparable to the bread in France and perhaps even better dare I say!! Also their selection of kombucha is excellent!

Carol W.

Yelp
This is my 4th problem with produce at New Seasons. I've had avocados with stringy flesh, tasteless canteloupe, no mint available, and now grapes with white mildew. The basket of concord grapes was 11.00 and except for one top bunch of grapes, all the grapes had white mildew and rotting on all the stems. I hate to say this but Walmart has FAR better produce than New Seasons and the grapes would have been 6.00.
google avatar

Summer C.

Yelp
I love this market! There is something about a good market that really gets me haha. I love spending time in a nice market to check out all the produce, food, and other items. They have a large selection of food/items. I appreciate their tendency towards more health conscious items too. Great customer service too!

Deb S.

Yelp
Stood in line for awhile waiting to get ice coffee. The counter person was working the bakery counter and coffee bar. She only appeared to want to dish out delicious pastries cause she never would come to coffee area. Their coffee is alright not worth waiting for though.
google avatar

Shaedyn M.

Yelp
$6.99/lb salad bar, and its the best one around. Chucks and Whole Foods are both so expensive, and their selection isn't anywhere near what New Seasons has. I love being able to sit by the fire to eat, and it has much more of a restaurant feel compared to the others. They had coffee, cheese, deli, you can go grab a drink, some fruit, whatever you want, take it with you to the seating area, chow down, and be surrounded by healthy food. I don't know whats better than that. In terms of their produce choices, its not the best. I would go to Chucks if you're looking for produce, they have the best and most around. But if youre just grabbing some stuff, they have a decent selection, with most things being organic!

Yelp
I really am shocked that I haven't yet written a review for New Seasons, seeing as how often I end up there for one reason or another. I don't do a ton of my grocery shopping there so I won't comment on that, but I will talk about what I know best.. Yesterday lunch, for example. I quickly swung by to get a DIY salad from the extensive options on the bar. I work very close so at least once a week my coworkers and I sit in the community eating area and catch up. It's a clean open-area that has a microwave so you can even bring food from home (sometimes I also do that and I'll buy a cup of the "soup of the day"). If you're looking for a delicious treat, I 100% recommend their Carmelita bar. It's TO DIE FOR. Or the Revel bar which is another go-to (sometimes I can't decide and get both). If you're looking for healthy options their wok stations are amazing. In fact I wok once a week (wok humor). It has an array of vegetables, choice of different noodles, and options of sauce. My tip is to load your bowl to the top, like think a mountain of veggies, because you pay by the bowl not the weight. The noodles you choose after so don't worry about leaving room. They also have a huge glass case of different types of salads and meats, and always something to sample. I also love New Seasons because the people who work there are ALWAYS so friendly, and if you go as much as I do they remember you and make a point to show it with a simple wave or a smile. I feel like I'm on a soap box but there aren't enough good things I can say about this location and the people who work there.

Yelp
Native San Diegan, and this is the closest to a Sprouts I could find in the area. Prices are higher than what I'm used to, but they offer reward points for every purchase that can amount to dollars off on future visits. They also have a huge cider selection, which I love, and the employees are super friendly.

Yelp
While I love a lot of things about New Seasons there are also a bunch of things I dislike. Over the course of the last year they have removed or changed several items. They claim this is due to their suppliers no longer offering or removing the items, perhaps NS doesn't have any say, but it still sucks: - At the deli, they used to carry applewood smoked bacon made with maple syrup. It has been replaced with sugar bacon. - Neiman Ranch Pastrami was replaced by some "grass fed" pastrami, but if you look at the ingredients list it contains maltodextrin, meh. - They used to carry Humphrey's Organic Witch Hazel; removed from the shelf completely. They still carry Thayer's but even the plain witch hazel from that brand has the first ingredient listed as water. - I really liked Erewhon raisin bran; it's gone. - They also used to stock two different brands of raw cow's milk, then it went to one brand, now zero. - Alvarado Street Sprouted Onion and Poppyseed bagels, gone. Most of their checkers are friendly and uphold their tagline 'the friendliest store in town,' but there is one checker (who in this review shall remain nameless as per yelp guidelines) who has not only never been friendly to me, but has been rude to me in the checkout. I no longer choose his lane, even if another lane has a longer wait. I've only had one checker enter a tare for produce bags/jars I've brought in without having to ask them to. I no longer bring jars because I don't feel like overpaying. It seems most of the checkers get confused by tare. All this being said, New Seasons is still our preferred grocery store. They have a nice selection of organic produce, cheeses, deli, bakery, pre-made foods...I just wish their stock would remain more consistent. It seems all my favorite items get dropped from the shelves.

Yelp
Happy to see complaints from anti-maskers. For every one of them that stops shopping at your store there are many of us who are grateful.

Yelp
Quick, and convenient quality selection and friendly staff. Our expanding family of 5 shop here weekly. Great to see them being back free samples....don't forget those freshly baked cookies too!

Yelp
Everything in here is always so fresh and smells amazing. The customer service is great as well. My new favorite store to grocery shop!

Yelp
Pretty upsetting when you talk to someone in the deli (Irvin) and he thinks the call ended but it didn't and you hear him mocking you. Pretty terrible customer service. Why would anyone want to shop at a place that employs people with so little regard to others?

J H.

Yelp
They need to better train the employees who shop for Instacart. I ordered shiitake mushrooms and got home to find giant portobello mushrooms. How can they not know the difference? First of all, the mushrooms are labeled. Second, a produce staff is almost always on hand to help with produce. Third, these mushrooms, other than their coloring are different in size, texture and aroma. Should get 2 stars, but the staff is always very nice so have to give them 3 stars. These are not shiitake mushrooms!

Yelp
Ever since their competitor closed prices have skyrocketed at this store. I'm done with this place. Disappointing for sure... I used to shop here exclusively for convenience and quality at a bit of a premium. Now its just price gouging.
