I ordered the pork fried rice with spare ribs and it was amazing! The rice was flavorful, well-seasoned, and not too oily. The spare ribs were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Portions were generous and everything was packed neatly and arrived hot and fresh. The restaurant itself was clean and spotless, which made the whole experience even better. Easily one of the best Chinese food spots I’ve been to—definitely recommend if you’re craving quality takeout!

Really good Chinese food. Keep in mind they don't accept door dash orders even though their website says they do and door dash allows you to order through their site. Other than that little issue, the shrimp with broccoli was delicious, the chicken wings were crispy and juicy, including the egg roll that didn't make it to the photo.

12/19/23 back for more, still really good! Good food, friendly people! Been dining here several times over the years ... I miss the old place that was larger and had a real dining room. 12/1/22 - back for chicken dumplings and House Mei Fun noodles. Both are really good and i ate so fast that I forgot to take a picture at the start ... My coworker ripped me about not taking a picture, lol, so i did near the end.

I order chicken and shrimp fried rice with a can ginger ale the total was 18 when the driver got here he had no change so I paid 20 dollars for chicken wing and shrimp fried rice smh 1st and last time time

Had half chicken with french fries ($10.5). It was fine and had a nice portion. Will last me for lunch and dinner. They dont take card. They take Zelle, cash and and cashapp.

Good food appreciate the convenience of paying via Zelle. Trying the Veggie soup but with Mei Fun noodles

Enjoyed the Singapore Chow Mei Fun so much and will reorder again. The dumplings (fried and steamed) dough was thicker & heavier than my preference and didn't have the amount of filling I'd prefer but it was still flavorful.

Clean, friendly & food was delicious. Ordered 1/2 Fried Chicken Fried Rice & I tried Singapore Mei Fun Small. All good portions, authentic Chinese fast food near my job. Best Chinese food in downtown Newark.

Pros 1. Clean and Clutter FREE Restaurant. 2. Shrimp and Broccoli in Garlic Sauce is Good but I wish they would take it up a Notch and Blend Fresh Garlic.. 3. Pepper Shrimp and Onions was Delicious. 4. Tostones was Freshly Made. 5. Shrimp Lo Mein is Fresh and Delicious. Best in Newark. 6. Shrimp Chow Fun is Fresh and Tasty! 7. Medium Size Flavorful, Fresh Chicken Wings. Ask for Egg Foo Young Gravy to smother on top! Deeeelicious it's like Smothered Fried Chicken Wings. 8. Friendly Service.

I ordered chicken wings with plain fried rice. I had one chicken wing and some rice. I said to myself this don't taske good. but I'm hungry it's dinner time I go for the second chicken wing, and it's bitten off of. I called the store back and they said oh it's the elbow. ????????? No you gave me old recycled food. Never again will I order anything else from there.

The food is always great at this establishment. The price is a little costly, but it is worth it.

They don't deliver pass 1 Mile that's what they told me on the phone on there web site it shows they are 2.8 miles from me . What a joke

The chicken was good and the sauce was divine. Fried rice was mediocre could've used more salt. Egg roll was absolutely mid in my opinion.

Good food much better than any other Chinese restaurant in the area, tasty and fresh food the negative No credit card accepted 2023 let's get modern.!!!

So I don't normally like to post reviews but this needs to be said. We have ordered from Good Tasty Too for 3-4 years probably twice a month. We received an order tonight with a straight black hair in the food. It was an online order and after 5 calls to the restaurant we still had no resolution (mind you for a $10 item). We had to drive to the establishment and argue with the restaurant. They accused us of planting the hair or being too full and trying to cancel the order. Their customer service is very poor and unprofessional. We will not be ordering from this establishment any longer. Please check your food or better yet order from somewhere else!!!!

3rd Review 03/21/2016 Right now I'm kicking myself, I should have read my previous reviews before going back to this place. I ordered the Singapore Mei Fun, without the pork. Let's just say, I can appreciate a little spice, but when the food is too spicy, there's just no enjoyment. There was so much curry in the food, that it was a bit of a gritty texture. Definitely won't make this mistake again, I'm done for good. Too many other restaurants with in driving distance. Dropped rating down to 1 star. 2nd Review 11/11/15 I still don't understand why so many people think this is the best Chinese Restaurant in the area. Today I ordered General Tso Chicken with Vegetable Fried Rice; again I will say the food was just okay; honestly I thought the rice was a bit bland, even after I saturated it with Soy sauce. The actual chicken was pretty good and tasty. Instead of Vegetable fried rice it was more like "carrot fried rice with two florets of Broccoli" overall, I think next time I'll pass on this spot. It's clean and the young lady at the counter was very friendly but I need taste with my food in addition to the customer service. This review is purely based on my taste buds, you may feel different. My 1st Review 11/04/15 I've read so many great reviews that I couldn't wait to try this place. The facility appeared very clean, I ordered my food ahead for take out. Due to traffic because the President is in town, it was a nightmare getting there, never the less, the food was ready. I just finished eating and I must say, I don't get all the hype, it was just okay, while so many people gave 5 perfect stars I can honestly only give it 3 because the food was truly just okay, it's not the best I've tasted, it's nowhere near the best, yet it's nowhere near the wort. So 3 stars it is. Would I try it again? Absolutely, but something different. Bon Appetite!

So normally when I'm traveling and need to eat I look for nearly an hour or reading thoroughly menu options, combinations, deals, reviews, gripes etc. This time my wife and I were so hungry we took a shot within the first few minutes. We opted for the option B which gives you Lo mein, fried rice, chicken broccoli, general Tso, sodas and egg rolls for only $30. I was comparing that vs 4 lunch specials. We were expecting 50% hit and miss. To our surprise, everything was on point. The Tso was sweet and a little tangy with the softer crunchy breading vs rock hard 5x retried chicken covered in dark sauce to hide the shame. The house special Lo mein was tasty, held its quality and didn't degrade for our particular drop off brought by a guy on his electric bicycle. I usually go for beef broccoli but the chicken was fine. Again not over done with the sauce, right balance. Oh I forgot you get boneless spare ribs too which were delicious and huge. Down to the eggrolls, crispy outside, fresh and fried in fresh oil. We've had it twice already, was going to order again today but went with Korean and regretted not sticking with this place. Will definitely order if we are still in Newark when the craving comes along. Solid value, generous portion for both a budget or otherwise. Lasts my wife and I the whole day. Wish they had option C,D,E and F to choose the perfect one. Otherwise, completely satisfied with quality and portions.

American Chinese food that's yummy, hot and on time. This spot is offering pick up and delivery. I have ordered delivery two times throughout the pandemic. Today I ordered fried dumplings, soup and fried rice. The food was delivered before time and was piping hot and well seasoned. The portion size and taste was a good value for the money paid. Note this delivery man on a moped in 0 degree weather was pleasant too. Yes! To Insure Promptness - it was worth it and I will tip again.

Absolutely amazing. Food is such a wonderful way to explore new cultures! Every dish was more delicious than the previous. Helpful, down-to-earth, and authentic. Definitely will done here again.

This restaurant has poor management and terrible delivery. They are rude and sarcastic. The delivery guy didn't even get off his bike to bring the food in and this was before he knew if there was a tip ! I paid via cash app and showed the guy the receipt before he left, next morning woke up to voice memos and 20 missed calls for an order that was 11 dollars !!! When I expressed my concerns and told them I would never order again they responded with a smiley face. It's way better Chinese food out there. I will never order from them again. And I gave them the 11 dollars it clearly was an error with cash app I would never have just stolen from them but I definitely left the tip out that time. My advice is go some else. The food is greasy anyway.

I have eaten here before but couldn't remember if I liked it or not (should have been a sign). The service was fine. I ordered in person and waited for my food. While I was there, two people came to pick up their food and the phone kept ringing. Beef Fried Rice: this was terrible. The rice was unflavorful. I mean absolutely no taste and this was with onions in the rice. The beef was a waste. The rice had a heavy feeling as opposed to a fluffy feeling. I would never eat rice from here again. Chicken wings: these were surprisingly good. Hence why they get three stars. They were big and crispy. They tasted like every other Chinese chicken wing. No complaints here. I will probably never return. I am still in search for a decent Chinese restaurant in Newark.

Best place in Newark to pick up Chinese take out. The food is always fresh and the staff is always nice. The place is clean and every time I have been there at night they are cleaning. Love their Lo mein, fried rice and beef and broccoli. Beware they only take cash.

So this is where you should go for Chinese take-out if you are in the Downtown Newark area. Good Tasty Too is across the street from City Hall. During the work week, it gets a lot of business from people who work in the area during office hours, but is also open later in the evening and over the weekend for local residents. There are tables inside the restaurant, where you could probably seat up to 10 or so people. There are a few TVs inside, as well. Everything I've ordered here has been really good. Here are some of my repeat orders: - Moo Shu Vegetable - Hot and Sour Soup - Shrimp Egg Roll - Kung Po Shrimp - Cold Sesame Noodle - Shrimp with Lobster Sauce - Shrimp with Bean Sprouts - General Tso's Bean Curd - Mixed Vegetables w/ Garlic Sauce - Mushroom Egg Foo Young Delivery is super fast, too, if you are in their delivery range. Note: CASH ONLY!

It's good food, very tasty, and fresh. The portions are generous, sometimes more than I would expect, for example there are so many wontons in the wonton soup that I almost want to order some broth separately just to get some of it, it's so good. Delivery is on time, which is nice, and it's not too far of a walk from work, either.

Fast hot and delicious, prices were surprisingly affordable and the staff was super friendly even though my date and I ordered almost at closing time.

This place's sign actually says 'Good Tasty Too' The Chinese restaurant is one of the best in the area. The ingredients are fresh and portions are large. Quick, fresh and friendly, couldn't ask for more. The interior has some seating. It's cash only but they also have an independent atm inside.

I've worked in Newark for the past 15 years and dined on many occasions at their previous location. They offered a buffet at that time but not anymore since they've moved. Their current location is very convenient to Newark City Hall, The US Attorneys Office, and the US Post Office. I've dined in and had delivery on several occasions to my office. I most recently had the chicken and broccoli, won ton soup, and an egg roll. Everything is always tasty and cooked fresh. With all the years I've been going here, I've never had a problem. It's been the same manager the entire time. The prices are very good, it's clean, and the portions are generous. They only accept cash but there is an ATM in the lobby. You can even order on line if you choose. There is limited on the street parking in the area so you have to be patient or find a pay lot. In my opinion, its the best Chinese food in Newark.

Ordered from grubhub. Some of the best general tso chicken and shrimp I've had in a while. Still crispy when arriving which doesnt happen often when getting food delivered. Will definitely order again.

Ordered then chicken and broccoli. It was very good, the container seemed small but it was well packed with the food. You won't be disappointed. They offer payments through cashapp and Venmo! They also offer brown rice and they cook in vegetable oil. I would recommend!

Wow! Like where do I start? I recently moved to Newark from Elizabeth so I've been looking for a good Chinese spot when I'm not in the mood for cooking. Good ole Yelp lead me right here! (I was up for it) First Visit: Really late on a weekend, we were in the mood for Garlic Wings so I called about 15 mins before closing; great customer service... shortly after hanging up she calls back just to make sure I had the address and knew where they were located. (That made my heart smile) lol. Pick up the food, the place was super clean, food was amazing. My go to spot.. #Always!

Ordered takeout. Ordering was done through a third party which I found a bit odd. The food came on time. Prices were actually better than other local Chinese takeout spots. Delivery was on bike but came on time regardless. Food was very middling. Not the best takeout in the area. Worth a try but won't be my go to.

Average for Chinese. Very little broccoli with the general tsos and the sauce was very unconventional tasting. The lobster fried rice was not lobster but was lagostinos. That's different and they were a bit fishy tasting which is unusual for lagostinos. All in all, fair food but was my only option in the area. I probably will not go back

I was CRAVING chinese food all weekend and I finally decided to get it, but my go to chinese restaurant was closed, so I tried a new place. Man..I was disappointed. I got the usually chicken and broccoli special which was only $10.48 which included a good amount of food, spring roll and a can soda; but it wasn't good..at all..and it only takes cash as well...The only good thing was that they delivered. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from them again :/

I've been looking for a good chinese restaurant since I moved to Newark two years ago. I think I have finally found it. The food is good and doesn't take very long. I am disappointed that they don't accept cards because I always have to use the ATM because I never carry cash on me.

Tasty and very fast delivery but it is a cash only restaurant so make sure you're prepared! The food is fresh and they give you generous portions. It is on the pricey side for Chinese food but the quality is there.

Great Chinese Food and Quick and delicious Very close to the Court Yard Marriot and they DELIVER! This is a very good Chinese food place that has tables but the majority of their business is delivery. Had lived in NJ for 20 years and moved to Texas but still 'phene' for good oriental take-out and was not disappointed - Would definitely order from them when back in town. They did a great job. Ordered takeout from them while we were staying at a hotel in New York. The food came LIGHTING fast and it was pretty good! (We got the fried rice and kung pao chicken). The Kung Pao chicken was alright, but I thought the fried rice was yummy. For the price, I think it's totally worth it!

Great Chinese food spot right next to Prudential Center. Fresh and quick service. Place is very clean to dine in as well. Prices very cheap too. Great spot for a quick bite.

I ordered from here recently and found a piece of metal mesh in my food. I called the restaurant and they just said thanks for letting us know. I didnt ask to be reimbursed or anything but they didn't offer any type of make good at all.

My favorite neighborhood Chinese place in Newark. They are fast and the food is always better than that of the alternatives. Also, the people working up front (usually a woman and her daughter) are very courteous, which is a rarity in the area. It also attracts fewer of the unsavory characters because it is located next to a courthouse and police station. I'd recommend the General Tso's Chicken or the Boneless Spare Ribs. As for substitutions, you can get brown rice instead of white, or replace and egg roll with a shrimp roll.

This is the only Chinese food spot my boyfriend and I order from. Idk how they do it, but they never disappoint...every time. The only bad things I have to say is that they can be a little short-answered over the phone and it's a cash only spot in an ugly location. But if you order for delivery--who really cares, right?

I order for the first time here , and it sucks they were 45 min late and to top it off they for got my sauce for my egg foo young and now , I also waiting 40 min for the sauce . I am turned off and it's pass my lunch and I can't even eat my food .

Good food. Fast and friendly service. Great place to go before the hockey game. I get the sesame chicken over white rice. Hot and sour soup is also very good.

Very good Chinese food with large portions. Restaurant is in a shady neighborhood but they deliver if you are staying local to them, I was in the Courtyard Marriott a block away. They only take cash so if you want to try something from them keep that in mind. I recommend the Mongolian Beef.

Perhaps the best Chinese food in downtown Newark. I can't even tell you what to order b/c its all so good. Try it for yourself and you won't be disappointed. Very reasonable prices too, and quick service.

My first time trying this place out, and I must say, my chicken & broccoli lunch special was yummy in my tummy. They are a cash only location, but have an ATM inside the establishment of you forget cash. My co-worker ordered the vegetable soup, and it looked amazing, will definitely have to consider that one next time as the weather gets colder. My lunch portion was definitely a good size and plentiful.

We just moved to the area luckily for us Good Tasty Too was open in time due to COVID-19 and the chicken lo-mein was the best we've had along with spicy mei-fun. We can't wait to try other meals.

Ive tried their Veg Lo mein, mixed veg w beef dumplings, and egg rolls. all very good. egg roll was a bit greasy but didnt stop me from finishing them. their mixed veg w beef was especially good. very tender beef and huge chunks of veggies. Filled to the neck and still have tons of left over for tomorrow. Thank God for good chinese food in Newark. Sad that they dont deliver though...
