We went here last night for a relaxing, non healthy dinner and drinks. The food did not disappoint. we got a beef lomain meal and the Crispy Aromatic Beef. Both hit the spot! The bartender/ waiter was nothing less than awesome! He was spot on, attentive and super laid back yet in his game. The drinks were good and the 80's atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Good , unhealthy food with great employees.

We make this an occasional lunch spot after work, and the combination of lots of lunch specials and good, quick service earns our praise. The decor is somewhat dated, but it is a comfortable place to eat. We go for the food, not the decor anyway. Our server is always friendly, and the lunch special prices make it an economical meal.

Good beef teriyaki and scallion pancakes. Egg rolls are really greasy, we've thrown them away half the time. Probably should change the oil mo t e often idk. It's a good go to

Walked in for a quick lunch before a scheduled afternoon appointment and went straight to the bar where I knew a quick service would be easier for the waiter or waitress rather than have them walking to a table or booth multiple times in the process. They saw me come in, I quickly looked at menu, had my choice, and waited for close to 10 minutes to place my "rush order." I looked at the clock a bit frustrated and said that if they didn't take my order by 12:15 I was going to get up and walk out. At exactly 12:15 I got up, put on my coat, and headed to the front door. As I was exiting I heard a female voice saying "you leaving?". I kept walking. In excess of 10 minutes, at lunch time, with only 1-2 other customers in the place. I'm sorry, I'd rather miss a meal than miss an appointment.

Was referred by a Facebook group to New Wa Toy. Food was good, they were stingey with duck sauce though got a pu pu platter for 2 and rice

Went and the girl at the counter was on her phone. I was politely waiting for her to end her call. She didn't, so I had to speak up and then she hung up. The quality of the food has gone down but the price has gone up to the point that I can't even afford it any longer. Such a shame, this used to be a great place!

Went for comedy night with a group was super fun. Service was friendly and the food was what you expect for this type of Chinese place. I ordered the lo mein dinner and it was a huge portion, I barely dented it! The Mai Tai's were good, I asked for a totem glass and the owner actually took my order and said absolutely he can put it in any glass I want!

Basic Asian food with options for sushi. Food is ready quickly and satisfies the desire for Asian food when you want it quickly. Staff is super nice and very accommodating.

I spent $217 on a to go order. 2 of the items I ordered were missing. I went back in and told them and they assured me everything was there. I got home 50 miles away and the pork Burnt Ends were not in the order and neither was the crispy beef I ordered. The Crab Rangoon lacked flavor and there was very little Crab. The pineapple chicken was drowning in a thick sauce made with tons of Mayonnaise and had only a few pieces of pineapple. I didn't get any but my son said he found a couple pieces. The bone in ribs were tough and under cooked, and the beef Teriyaki was over cooked so they were very dry. The Beef and onions was good and the pork egg foo young was very good. The brown sauce had delightful taste. The chicken fingers could have been cooked another 2 minutes. I do have to admit the pork egg rolls were very good. All in all probably won't return unless I just want egg foo young. I only rated it a 2 because a couple of items were ok but I can get those closer to home.

Poor service. I sat forever waiting to order, then no one checked on me or offered to refill my drink during the entire meal. Waitress was just chatting with the bartender. Food was ok.

Great General Tso meal! I will be back for more!!! Friendly staff as well makes the experience extra special... Seems like there is a lot of regulars there

Loved the food. A pit pricey but I'd pay it for that. The beef teriyaki is AMAZING. One of my favorite spots in the city. LOVE LOVE LOVE

The Chinese food's pretty good and atmosphere is classic Chinese restaurant but their sushi leaves much to be desired! They don't honor their online menu prices and Jack up the cost of your order without warning. Got the "charashi" for TWENTY BUCKS with the thinnest pieces of fish that are usually, at actual Japanese restaurants, at least a ¼" thick. Yeah, some fish is meant to be cut thin but thus was price gauging at its finest! 3 pieces combined maybe made ¼". You're better off getting your sashimi and sushi from Market Basket than this place!

I have gotten this over my mom's house multiple times throughout the years and it has been consistently great! I always look forward to it!

We are trying this place for the first time. It was listed as 4th best in the Manchester area. The ambiance was dark, but the bar and the Keno was going strong. Overall, the Chinese was a little above average. It was "OK". Good quantities were above average.

Excellent Chinese even when they were slammed on NYE. So good! Everything was delicious, and they were packed!

This is The best place to get Chinese Food and Drinks in NH! They have great service and have been open for 61 years!

We picked up food tonight and it was not good. The flavors were plain and the oil they cooked the fried food in was old. We were really disappointed.

The food is always spot on here! It's very dark inside with no windows but the staff has been there forever and takes great care in delivering hot, delicious food every time. Lots of tvs in the bar, music on touch tunes and a lottery kiosk.

This is my favorite American Chinese spot in the area. I have tried the lot in Manchester and have landed on this one. Not sure why this place doesn't have more and better reviews. The food here is actually really good as far as American Chinese food is concerned. The portion sizes are large and the specials are a very good value. It took me a while to try this place since it did not have many reviews or pictures but I am so glad I finally did. New Wa Toy for the win! Happy Hunting Yelpers!!!

We had such a good meal they deserve a shout out. Pu pu platter was the best we've had in a long time. It had more selections than any we've ever had. It came with the Teriyaki steak and the teriyaki chicken. The ribs were full ribs not boneless and very meaty and tasty. I usually skip those. The house rice was loaded with meat. The hot tea was served with the platter which you don't get in most Chinese restaurants now. We had a scorpion bowl that was delicious. All in all we had a great meal at an unexpected stop and we're glad we did. Our waitress was very attentive and was right on the money. The only thing I didn't care for was in the restaurant the tables were too close to each other. We could hear every word the table next to us was saying and they were loud so it was hard to really enjoy the atmosphere. Still a five rating because the food was delicious as was the service.

I LOVE their food. I ordered House Chow mein today and it was fabulous! Loaded with lots of extra things and fresh and a bit crunchy which is how I like it. They make the noodles fresh inhouse, its ruined me forever for the regular ones everyone is so used to elsewhere. The bnls spare ribs here are delicious too. They are well trimmed so you dont get big hunks of gristle or fat (like at most places around ManchVegas.) and very thoughtfully flavorful. Both of these are well packaged so they will not mess up your desk. I highly recommend them.

I love this place. If you want good Ole fashioned Chinese food this is where to get it. If you have to drive a little ways tell you it's worth. I don't live in Goffstown NH an always have to drive a little ways 30 minutes. Cause I love Chinese food an to sit in an dine this is it for me. From here VT to FL this is it. I eat a lot of Chinese. Love it try it "Enough Said"

So good Chinese food in this area is very hard to find. We have been searching for some time now with no success. Finally we decided to try New Wah Toy. YAY! It was absolutely delicious. We've had it twice now and we have been beyond pleased. We are very basic with our choices but our daughter is picky about her few items- she loves New Wah Toy! We are very happy we have found this place and can't wait to have many more meals there!

Amazing mai tais in the best Chinese chicken wings I've ever had, I ordered them spicy and well done there's nothing like them amazing

Good place for Chinese food and cocktails. Wa Toy has a separate dining room on the left and a cocktail lounge on the right. The Wa Toy offers a good Chinese menu including Mandarin, Szechuan, and Polynesian specialties. 30 Luncheon Specials ($4.25-$6.85) and 12 Dinner Specials ($7.85-$8.85) are offered here. I stopped here for a late night dinner after work and was seated in the spacious dining room with booth and table seating. There's a large colorful painted mural of a tropical paradise on the wall. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein Dinner Special ($7.85) served with pork fried rice and choice of 2 appetizers (I got 2 beef teriyakis and 9 fried wonton skins), a dinner roll, and a complementary pot of hot tea. The good portion of food was filling and tasty. The beef teriyaki sticks were on the chewy side and the Lo Mein had good flavors with vegetables and chicken pieces. The service here was good with timely delivery of the food.

Not too bad. Really good food, reasonably priced. However, seating is right next to the bar area, where people were playing Keno. Vibe reminded me of a cafeteria. Good service, done by the bartender. Guy was serving both areas. Parking was bad. You park next to the building, no lights in the lot. Plus, you have to back out, right into the street.

I came in Friday for take out and ordered the lobster shrimp kew. For $25 I got about six pieces of lobster the size of a penny and very chewy. No claw or knuckle. And to make it worse there was no shrimp. Not one piece! Been coming here for years and can't take chance of getting cheated again. Maybe the owner who took my order was offended I paid cash and didn't put tip money in his jar? The good news is looks like North Garden has its menu back after covid so will be switching back.

So we have tried 3 places in the Goffstown area. First was North Garden. Food tasted ok...but everyone felt sick after. Then, we tried Golden Tao. food was just OK. Weird duck sauce. New Wa Toy was the last and definitely the best. They do the basic stuff (PU PU Platters, pork fried rice, general gaus chicken, etc.) well. Fried stuff is crisp and not too oily. Pork spare ribs are tender and not "jerky like". Egg rolls are good. If you want decent Americanized Chinese Food, this is the place in Goffstown.

First time getting food and last time, the chicken wings were literally burnt to a crisp, the spare ribs were UNDERCOOKED, the rice was mushy and cold! I would choose zero stars but it's not an option.

Wow!!! Eaten here plenty of times here over the years having grown up in the area. Always a pretty good spot for Chinese food. We ordered food using the app connected to their website and received something that we did not expect. After picking up the food and getting home we called and explained the situation and the gentleman on the phone told me it was the apps fault and showed zero consideration for making right on the error. I am floored at the pennies it would have cost them to fix the problem and have returning business. Btw, I am not one to write reviews or bad mouth anyone but this was awful. Shame on you New Wa Toy!!!

We had a party of 6 last night as we were celebrating a birthday. We asked for tea for all but the one pot the server brought was emptied quickly and not refilled until much later. We asked for sugar. After 20 minutes, I actually got it myself. We ordered a small fried rice and she charged us for a full order. She served a pu pu platter without any plates. She overcharged for one dinner. She brought boxes for everyone except me. I asked for a plastic container with a cover for my soupy chow mein and was provided a paper container. She provided the bill and we had to request fortune cookies. She presented our credit card receipt with no pen or customer copy. We eat here at least once a month and the food is always wonderful as well as last night. The service, however was not. Not sure she liked what she was doing as she never smiled once!

I ordered delivery this evening since my usual Chinese restaurant wasn't open. I can't remember the last time I had eaten here (could be 10 years or more) The food was mediocre at best. I ordered pu pu for two and pork fried rice. The steak teriyaki was just okay but the chicken teriyaki was over cooked and dried out. Egg roll was okay but the shrimp was overcooked and greasy. Chicken fingers were greasy too. The fried rice was undercooked and tasted smoky. I won't be ordering from here for a few more years, if ever. Disappointed for sure!

Can't say I have ever had worse Chinese food. Very different from several years ago when we were here last.

The food is good here but I find some of the dishes are a bit overpriced for the actual amount of food you get. $18 for steak kew and I finished it all in one sitting without feeling stuffed, just somewhat satisfied. For that price, I would expect a bigger portion. And though I usually just get takeout from here, I have dined in before and I was not impressed. The seats in the booths were all covered in duct tape and the table tops looked older than me. So, I know I'll be back but I think I'll just stick to takeout.

We are new this the area and seldomly order out. We had tried here 1x before and it was good. I just ordered here tonight and it was a complete disappointment. I ordered CHICKEN fried rice with szejuian chicken. The rice was very hard/undercooked and the chicken mix was filled with peanuts and barely any chicken. I called them and explained. They said to bring it back so they can show the chef. She tried to insist I must have ordered pork (we do not eat pork at all) and I said 3xs on the phone chicken fried rice. She also insisted there was a lot of chicken-there was barely any. She also used the pen at their counter to skim through the PEANUT mixture and then put the pen back down on the counter-people with allergies? The lady at the front counter opened my new food bag and handled the roll they put with her bare hands. She then charged me the additional $2 for chicken even though they messed the order up, and I drove back. No accountability and rude. Not recommended.

Love the New Wa Toy for going out for some drinks with my friends. The scorpion bowls are absolutely toxic, they don't taste great but you really get your bang for your buck. The food is decent, good crab Rangoon's but other than that I wouldn't be confident enough to branch out to sample more menu items.

Just left this place for the last time. Restaurants are worried about staying open during covid-19, but why bother if you're not going to provide good food or service. The service today was absolutely atrocious. It took a looooong time to get drinks, we ordered a pupu with pork fried rice, seems easy enough, everything is already prepared right? Well it took pretty long. Then we get the food,c with a tiny little cup of duck sauce, which we use in 3.5 seconds on our rice, and we like around for 10 minutes for the waitress so we can get some more, them my kid stands by the front desk trying to get some for way too long and gives up, we go to the bar, bit there's nobody there. By the time he located someone we had been forced to eat chicken fingers and teriyaki with no duck. The pupu was ok, but the rice tastes like it has been sitting out back for 5 days already. We were just ready to get the hell out of there. Last time we make that mistake. We were looking for a pleasant lunch on a Saturday and it was sort of a shit show. I'm guessing that's why there were only like 3 other people there.

The food is very good. It has always been a favorite for us when we come thru Goffstown NH. to my daughters home. Recently, I have to say we ordered about 5 typical items and when I got there to pick up the order, I was hit with a $74.00 +/- bill !!!!!! At home I decided to look up the costs per item. Was I surprised to see what each costs. Order of Chicken Wings, which were rather blah in flavor, cost around $11.25. WHAT..... There chicken wings, not prime rib... Beef and Broccoli was $12.25. Great flavor, but about 75% broccoli. Again, costs are way up. Food is good, but I may have to look for another place in the area. Bill

Went out to eat with family tonight. The rice tasted like cigarette... when we told them they said that's "white pepper flavor".... white pepper does not taste like cigarettes. Most likely the chef didn't wash his hands after a smoke break

This Chinese food brings back memories of when I was a kid Lobster sauce eggrolls and fried rice all very good

Dining room is open. The service is back up to speed, had qreat meal. Japanese menu is worth stopping in for dinner.

Love this place! Love the people, the food and the drinks. You can get your basic "American style Chinese fare" and you can get some really good sushi and sushi rolls. Friendly atmosphere, live music once a week, Kaoroke and I have never left unsatisfied with food, drinks or service. Lots of parking. The Staff is great, the customers are very loyal.

"The New Wa Toy looks like the old Wa Toy", said my girlfriend who has been eating here since she was a little girl, which was a while ago. "Same mural on the wall ". "Hi, my name is Crystal, and I'm here to service you", said the waitress. I turned to look at my girlfriend. "Behave", she said. "Sooo, I guess the waitstaff is new", I replied, behaving. We ordered tea, crispy aromatic beef, pan fried ravioli, white rice, and a scorpion bowl for two. The tea was dark and tasty. The food was delivered fast and pretty good. The white rice was amazingly moist and sticky. It was like sushi rice. It was perfect. On the minus side, the waitress didn't light our scorpion bowl on fire.

Part 4 of the Goffstown area Chinese Review I saved this one for last. I had such low expectations for New Wa Toy - it just looks like such a hole from the outside. After trying China Gourmet, North Garden, and Aloe Garden, and finding fault with all of them, I was running out of faith that I would find a go to option around my new home. I even went back to Jade Dragon and Chen's, and was thinking of trekking back up to Mei's finally and just trade the longer drive for better food, but said to hell with it - let's just make sure New Wa Toy wasn't a hidden gem. I had to wait a while for the food - quite a bit longer than they had advised - but fortunately worth it. As with all recent Chinese attempts, went with the Pu Pu to get a sense of everything. Here goes: Crab Rangoon - 4 of 5 - not quite Mei's, but pretty damn good Chicken Fingers - 4 of 5 - decent size, not soggy Chicken Wings - 5 of 5 - nailed these Beef Teriyaki - 4 of 5 Chicken Teriyaki - 5 of 5 Spareribs - 4 of 5 - first time I've seen these on the bone! Usually this is the slop at the bottom of the box. Unique. Egg Roll - didn't get to them, as I put down too many Rangoon Pu Pu value was outstanding. Prices were very reasonable here. Duck sauce and fried rice were also above average. While I may go back to Aloe Garden to mix it up, I think New Wa Toy is going to be the standard for Chinese now while in Goffstown.

Wow, what a great deal. All this month 50% off their sushi. Ordered sushi, and some rolls. Everything was good. We also got Sushi pizza! Seriously, I'm not sure who came up with this but I have a new favorite appetizer. If you like crab meat you need to try it. The only thing I had that I didn't like was the scorpion bowl. Common theme in most chinese restaraunts....way too strong. This is a pretty good take in that I will try again. If your a fan of sushi try the Godzilla roll.

This Chinese restaurant and take out or delivery is my favorite in the area. I have ordered all three ways and it's never disappointed! Fried Rice is yummy and not plain. It actually has flavor and spice. Egg rolls are delicious. Crab Rangoon is YUM, and spare ribs on the bone are meaty and good. I have been coming here since the 80,s and have many memories as do many of the local people I've talked to about this place! Go try it!

My wife brought home some left over lo mein a while ago which I loved. So I insisted we take the 20!mile trip up 93 and try them for dinner. All in all, I would not go out of my way again. It was just okay. We always start with basic stuff on first visit, won ton soup, pu pu platter, and either fried rice or lo mein. The won ton soup was good, not great. The broth was nice and it was full of small wontons, vegetables, and pork slivers. The shrimp lo mein did not disappoint. It was as good as I recalled from the noted leftovers. The noodles were cooked well, maybe just a tad over but not too much so. They were flavorful. There was plenty of small shrimp and some Chinese vegetables. Very nice. The pu pu platter, consisting of the standard Chinese appetizers, was pretty disappointing over all. The chicken wings were small and not meaty. The spareribs, on bone, lacked flavor. The fried shrimp were terrible, overcooked and dry. The crab Rangoon had a very odd flavor, maybe the worst I have ever had. The steak teriyaki was okay. The chicken fingers were fine. The egg rolls were quite bland. The only thing real positive was the chicken teriyaki which were meaty, juicy, and very flavorful. I will note that my wife has had their General Gau's Chicken in the past and liked it a lot. So all in all, it was a just passable dinner last night, only thanks to the nice lo mein, whose left overs I do look forward to enjoying soon. I give it 3 stars, but it was probably only worth 2.5. I don't see us going out of our way and make this trip again.

We come here once and a while, before going grocery shopping which is next door. We haven't ha d a bad meal yet, Tina estimated 50x. Drinks are excellent and well priced. We share a scorpion bowl. It is a quiet night, only us and another couple. Food was hot and fresh and delicious. Waitress was good, the help was in the corner talking loudly in chinese, that was annoying. All in all we'll be back, good atmosphere and food.

It pains me to write this review. My family has been eating from this establishment for YEARS and been very happy. The food has always been excellent and the staff we dealt with extremely friendly. However, we always ordered takeout. Always. It was just easier for us. So this was our go-to place while living close by. Their sushi is always on point and their Chinese food is really good. That brings us to last night. We have moved to Concord and my daughter had played a basketball game at Goffstown High. It was late so we decided to hit up our favorite Chinese place after the game. The place was NOT busy. The bar was fairly full but there was only one other table with a party of 5 or 6 in it. We waited a couple of minutes at the front to be seated. No big deal. We sat down, right next to the large party (who ended up being fairly loud and telling inappropriate stories - we had our 4 year old with us). The same guy who sat us took our drink orders and our orders. Apparently the host was also the server. My husband and one of my teen daughters ordered dinners, we got my toddler an order of chicken fingers and my other teen daughter and myself got sushi to share. We waited a long time for our food. Like, WAY longer than it should have with just how UN-busy they were. The hot food arrived first and we watched the sushi chef step into the sushi bar area and begin to prepare our sushi. We ordered 4 rolls altogether. A Philadelphia roll, a vegetable maki, a rainbow tobiko maki and the special roll of the night, a Volcano roll. My husband was completely done with his meal and my toddler was getting antsy and we still had yet to receive ONE roll. By the time we received our rolls everyone else was finished and ready to leave. Our server didn't once ask us if we wanted refills on our drinks or talked to us about our wait time. So, while the food WAS good, as usual, the experience was not a good one. Bottom line: New Wa Toy is GREAT for their food, but lacks in their service. Order takeout if at all possible!
