Tried the mutton soup here because you seldom find mutton soup in a hawker centre. The herbal-style broth is quite unique - something you either like or don’t. Personally, it’s not to my liking, but the salted vegetables were really Jin Ho Jiak 😋👌 Price is slightly on the high side: • Mutton soup – $13 • Salted vegetables – $2 • Rice – $0.60 Total: $15.60 💸 Overall, worth trying once, but I probably won’t return.

A lot has changed since those days — the hawker centre has been rebuilt, and so has their stall — but one thing that hasn’t changed is the incredible quality of their food. The mutton meat remains perfectly tender, the soup rich and aromatic with that signature herbal depth that warms you from the inside out. Every sip still brings back those nostalgic memories, reminding me why it has stood the test of time. Even with all the modernization around, New World Mutton Soup continues to deliver consistency, heart, and flavour in every bowl. It’s truly worth every penny — a hidden treasure that deserves more recognition among both locals and tourists exploring Singapore’s vibrant hawker scene. If you’re ever in Bedok, this is one stop you absolutely shouldn’t miss.

Established in April 1991 and recognised with a Michelin plate, this stall is well regarded for its tasty rendition, and likewise infamous for the brusque and hurried attitude of its staff. . Their thin and clear hot soup / broth carries meaty savoury sweet bitter herbal flavour, from stewing mutton bones with a variety of herbs over 3 hours or more. . Garnished with tender deboned mutton meat with meaty savoury flavour, bouncy mutton meat balls with meaty savoury salty flavour, and fresh coriander and ginger with vegetal bitter herbal sweet spice flavour. There's a good ratio of fat to lean meat. Served with white rice, and an optional splash of black vinegar for added sour tangy flavour kick.

$8 for 4 piece of mutton ribs with soup. It is more heavier on the herbal taste , I feel that it lacks umami and mutton taste. You will need to add $0.60 for a bowl of rice.

I did not purchase from the stall. But I am thoroughly disgusted by the auntie's attitude. Just grabbing a spoon from this stall caused the auntie to tail me back to my seat just to ask back for the spoon, as "I did not buy from the stall". She may have gained the spoon, but she lost me as a customer. And many more as I will condemn this stall to all my friends. An advice to the auntie - you are not boss. Customers are.

$:Below S$10. Mutton was very tender and not smelly. I ordered “Mixture and Tendon”. But if I come here again I will order “Mutton Soup”. Because best meat in mixed soup was normal mutton meat. Taste of the soup was a bit sweet for me. There was no queue during lunch on Saturday.

One of my favourite stalls in Singapore to have mutton soup! They have been featured featured on local newspapers such as The Sunday Times and Lianhe Zaobao and recommended in Michelin Guide Singapore. They have 7 different options. I usually order Mutton Soup, $9. The aunty is too busy cooking to talk to customers, so I just wait for her to put the hot mutton bowl on my tray in less than a minute. The meat tastes really good! Very strong herbal tasting soup too. Would return to eat.
