I recently visited this spot and tried the Nova Lox Bagel. While the bagel itself was fresh and well-toasted, the salmon was a letdown. Nova lox is typically known for being less salty than regular smoked salmon, but in this case, it was overly salty and overwhelmed the other flavors. The toppings, like cream cheese, capers, and onions, were well-balanced, but the saltiness of the salmon really detracted from the overall experience.
I also decided to try the apricot cookie, but that turned out to be a mistake. I was surprised to learn it cost nearly $5—far more than I expected for a single cookie. Unfortunately, the taste was disappointing; it was so unpalatable that I couldn’t even finish it. The texture was dense and off-putting, and the apricot flavor was barely there. It felt like a waste of money, and I left feeling dissatisfied.
The prices were reasonable for the bagel, but the quality didn’t fully match my expectations. As for the cookie, it was overpriced and not worth trying again. Overall, a mixed experience—there’s potential, but the execution fell short.
