Super delicious! Got the roast beef sandwich, and it was mouth watering. Got an iced coffee as well, and I never have complaints.

Extremely upset I spent money on this place. They should be ashamed to serve people a roll like this. I ordered two sandwiches and both were extremely burnt. My bacon wasn’t cooked. The fries were tasteless. Very upsetting.

The only reason I come to New York bagel is not only for the scallion cream cheese but mostly the atmosphere and service. One gentleman in particular really outshines there which is boogie. His ability to be urgent and effective in my every day breakfast routine before work is amazing. He is a very good worker and I hope he is treated by others the same way.

The bagels are really good. Service sucks. Staff seems to not want to be there. I get someone to pick up the phone on a really good day. If not, I have to walk in and watch as people behind the counter avoid eye contact to take my order. One guy I really like is the sandwich guy behind the counter. Super friendly. Always greets with a smile. Food is really good. Service sucks. It’s actually turned me off mostly.

Best sandwiches! They never let me down! Ask for Boogie for the best iced coffees!

I've never tried this place but I was looking for a place that catered breakfast last minute for my bday brunch. So happy I found them! Price was good & food was DELICIOUS! I picked a package for 9 ppl but the food was more than enough & a huge tray of bagels & danishes. All condiments, plates, utensils, & drinks were included. The gentleman that helped me was super nice and even brought out everything to my car. Will definitely be using them again!

Tons of bagels, and they even have hot foods (eg pancakes). In addition to many of your standard bagels, they also had egg (less common where we live) and everything egg bagels, both of which were delicious. I got the lox sandwich, topped with lox cream cheese, onion, and tomato. It was delicious and a solid sized portion of lox. Too bad we don't live around here because we would definitely be regulars!

Awesome service and kind workers. Solid prices; $6ish for a BEC on bagel. Got a single pancake and a lox bagel. Would stop again. Plenty of seating.

Have been going to this place since it was turned into a bagel deli from a bakery. The new owners really don't have a clue when it comes to customer service and sanitary procedures. Workers in there use the same gloves to serve customers as they do to take cash. Never once changing them serving multiple customers. I even told one of the workers serving me to change his gloves before serving me and I got an attitude. They also put the pens they use to take your order in there ear, hat or hair which is unsanitary all while the owner walks around without a care in the world. The food isn't what it used to be either. Cant get the same bacon egg and cheese bagel each time I go there. People standing on line and workers talking to each other not really paying attention. The turnover in workers is very noticeable and business has definitely gotten slower. I find it hard to believe it will be there long. Its unfortunate because it is a prime place for bagels and if run right should do well. It had in the past so no reason other then what I mentioned should it not.

I miss what this place was. And I don't know how places lose what they had. Polite enough people, but it's always a long wait... with a lot of mistakes. I guess they try... and maybe it's customer service across the board, but the long waits ... just can't get involved with that.

Sunday, rainy cold wet out nice hot Flagel sesame with butter if you don't know what that is basically it's a regular bagel. That's flatten out really thin and crispy. It's awesome with a slice of cheese and crispy bacon. They also have awesome breakfast specials.

I haven't been here in a long time since we moved out of Yonkers. I was in the area getting some nail services and a bit of nostalgia struck. Knowing I had a full house back at home, I called up hubbs and asked if he wanted to take a trip down memory lane, and get a Balboa sando (his usual). My son always got the Babit but his taste has changed so I decided to figure it out once I got there. Parking still sucks and you're probably better off just grabbing a spot in the pharmacy lot across the street. Walking in, it felt familiar. I thought they would be way more packed, especially on a weekend morning. There were a few people waiting, all who already put in their food orders. Immediately, a new face called me forward to place my order. She was very nice. The wait for my order was not crazy. I paid ahead and the nice woman brought my order to me. Everything was packaged very well and with care. The BEC on toasted buttered roll was good. I got the Godfather for my son. It has ham, capicola, prosciutto, mozz and balsamic vinegar. I wanted to add broccoli rabe to it but they ran out. My son liked it but he wasn't thrilled. It was dry and could have used more dressing or something. I probably should have had them throw in some mayo. Hubby got his large Iced coffee (huge container) and his Balboa sandwich, but it was soooo dry. The cheese was only on one side (lengthwise) of the sandwich. I took a bite from dead center, and it was all bread and dry meat. It was missing half the ingredients...no mushrooms, no garlic toast and no horseradish mayo. Actually, I don't think they put any mayo on it at all. I also got my kid an apple juice which was a ridiculous $3.25, along with a side of Cajun fries that were basically steak fries with an uber light dusting of what I'm guessing was Cajun seasoning. You couldn't even taste it. I spent a little over $40 for my entire order. If the items are missing key ingredients, please let the patron be aware and offer an alternative. The woman that took my order is probably one of the new owners and should have asked if there were other comparable options to replace the items not included because they sure charged me the full cost for everything I received. Hopefully the quality in preparation improves. We used to long for these sandwiches and it would be unfortunate if they don't. Now that I frequent the area again, I would love to pick up some sandos for my family. Time will tell but I am definitely in no rush to go back.

The everything bagels had nothing on it. If i wanted a plain bagel, I would've gotten that. Never going back here, especially not for everything bagels.

Wow ... say it isn't so ... the old case of new owners not able to keep the spark going. Been here twice since the transition. Place is dark. Service is about twice the wait on sandwiches with cold cuts that were stuck together and slid out the entire sandwich when you bite into it. Even the cold cut case is a mess. Super sad to see it go down hill.

Even if I was starving I wouldn't beg your pardon over here!! HORRIBLE service , HORRIBLE employees , HORRIBLE manners , HORRIBLE food ! Lost several customers today and will soon be hearing from plenty of other customers on how horrible this place this . Waiting on line just to have someone come right in and get there order taken like in some chopped liver or something . I don't know what kinda clown show is going on over here where you gotta service someone else before the person that's been waiting but don't worry . Once you see the 50+ reviews of 1 star ratings maybe you'll switch up your damn work crew and teach them manners .

I live in the area & must say this place offers the rudest, untalented & sadly disappointing service I've had in a long time. There a bunch of employees behind the counter that are good for nothing. They ignore you even if there is no line. When you get up to the counter the girl with a sour puss on her face says "yeah" not what would you like today. This is the same girl that killed time ignoring customers and used a dirty rag to clean all the hardware & greasey crevices on the counter & then using the same dirty rag in the cutting board where the food is prepared. Talk about contamination! Then used that same bare hand that handled the dirty rag to pick up the bagels (ungloved). This is all along with the owner so quick to take another customers money (before the food is even served) & not acknowledge anyone else. The younger Fella that looks like a relative is obnoxious! No wonder why the establishment is constantly putting ads for help! Doom & gloom with the possible chance of an upset stomach from bad practice habits. If you want to be in the food service industry learn some etiquette!

We used to go toNY Bagels several times a week. It has been under new ownership and progressively gone downhill. The coffee is terrible, the orders are consistently wrong. The wait for your order is ridiculous. I don't see this store remaining in business long term. Certainly miss Jay and his team.

$4 for a bagel with plain cream cheese. Bagel quality far below average for the area. What am I missing? At least make a New York bagel if you're gonna charge New York prices... And call yourself New York bagels

Very good bagels, more importantly they were available in the afternoon on Yom Kippur, so we had them to break fast.

Be mindful ppl ppl only right reviews when they are dissatisfied. This place is perfect for a quick breakfast pick up. I've lived in the neighborhood for years and this is my go to spot for a breakfast sandwich. Staff is quick and friendly. They also offer healthy options for a reasonably price. Good Spot !

This is getting 3 stars because I've been here before and the order was great. The bagels are delicious, cream cheese plentiful. If you like jalapeños I recommend the jalapeño cream cheese, nice big pieces of pickled jalapeños. Now, I had the babit, which is pastrami and cheese and some other stuff--well the first time it was delicious, the second time the pastrami was not warmed up and the cheese was not melted. For $10.50 I should not have to throw away a cold pastrami sandwich which did not taste good. Very disappointed. Service is slow really slow despite having a lot of employees. Each time I was there it took 30 mins or more for my order. Not sure why. Diners which this is half diner half deli can turn out food pretty quickly.

This place sucks. Anytime I order they forget almost everything. I ordered 3 things and they forgot 2/3 items. They don't follow instructions and the food is mediocre.

This place used to be one of the best places in Yonkers and literally became One of the worst, Their sandwiches now are overpriced and get really cheap with meat and are always shortstaffed which takes average 15 to 20 minutes for a sandwich. I stoped coming here because the quality of the food doesn't taste the same and I'm not going to overpay for it. Paid almost 9 bucks for a roll on a turkey

This place was recently sold and is now nothing like it was. I entered store and was at the front of line as I walked in. After 10 minutes of waiting and nobody acknowledging me, I walked out. No service. No customer. I will never enter that store again. This 5 * place deserves zero stars now!!!!

I might have been disappointed at first when they opened. Bagels then were just not good. I've gone a number of times now in the past month and I have to say their bagels are great now! Haven't had the food so can't say. And on top of this the counter service is great and friendly too They're now my go to bagel joint.

Love this place, can be a bit of a wait if you hit at the wrong time but food is worth the wait!

This review is based on a ton of visits from more than 5 years ago but I was scrolling thru and remember going here a lot. Bagels are fresh, big & tasty. For breakfast I always get bacon& egg on a poppy seed, grab a coffee & read the paper at one of the tables. For lunch it's usually a huge piled high sandwich on an everything bagel with coleslaw & pickle on the side. Always so huge I never eat dinner. Great guys behind the counter, Kidd's like guys u hung with in high school or neighbor friends. Always a joke, smile & happy to chat.

Don't waste your time. Every order is wrong and takes them 5 years to make the incorrect order. There's 750 workers but still inefficient.

Best Everything Bagels....all bagels always fresh. I like to order ahead because they do get busy.

Beware the new owners are charging tax on bagels when they shouldn't be. When you buy bagels with nothing on them there is no tax. When I told the guy he said they changed the law. I told him they did not. He then said they are under new management. I said the rules are not made by them. Then hr said look lady I just work here. Beware they are ripping you off in more ways than one. Report them to consumer affairs. BYW there is no way this is 4 stars by new owners

How have I lived in Yonkers my whole life and only just recently discovered New York Bagels? Wide variety of super fresh bagels that are $0.25 after 2 pm... at which point you won't have much selection left but the offerings are still good and they are very generous with their fillings! I've had the veggie cream cheese and also the turkey bacon, hashbrown, egg and cheese combo (fat girl's dream) and both were delicious. For lunch- pretty solid selection of sandwiches and paninis. Most recently tried the firefighter sandwich with cracked pepper turkey- loaded with a bit too much mustard but the sandwich itself was otherwise delicious and large enough for two servings. Will become a staple place for me for a quick breakfast or lunch.

So I just went to get a sandwich there as many people boast about it. I was very disappointed. They gave me a cold sand which instead of hot, jalapeños instead of cherry peppers, and they for got the prosciutto on the sandwich. Will now be going back there.

This is my go to bagel spot. Bagels and sandwiches are always solid and service is great.

This place used to be incredible but it's gone downhill very fast over the past couple of months. The past few of times I've gone there, the coffee tasted like coffee flavored water. The staff also seems scattered and confused. The home fries I ordered last time were undercooked and the sandwich just doesn't taste the same. There were also blackened bananas sitting on the counter which was very off putting. It's just sad to see such a staple in this neighborhood struggling with their quality and service.

I run here when I stay at my friends house on my vacays. They have the best bagels and all of the guys are friendly and helpful. Love love love this place!!!

I think the original owners sold this place over the last year. Service and quality have gone downhill and it's sad because this place was a gem. Now it's a group of young kids favoring their friends who come in. Long waits, disorganized, offered flavored cream cheeses yet they weren't made. A bagel with blue berry cream cheese was a slab of Philadelphia with 6 whole blueberries on top.. same for olive. Do better. I'll miss this place.

Best sandwiches and bagels! I especially love the "yankee" hero. I've tried other delis in the area and NY Bagels is by far the best. Service is so friendly it makes going here a pleasure!

By far one of the best breakfast places I've been to in a while. Fresh ingredients make the food here that much better. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because my order wasn't made with sausage as requested and instead I got bacon, a simple mistake. But it was still delicious so I didn't send it back. I'll definitely visit again.

I order here almost everyday. Their bagels do not taste like rolls like a lot of fake bagel stores. They boil their bagels and you can tell in the taste.

I'm in agreement with the other reviews I have read of this place. The food is good but the customer service is lacking. Several times, I have decided to overlook the poor customer service because the food is good however time and time again, I face the same poor customer service. They do not listen to you when you place an order and seem to be bothered when they are the ones who made the mistake. This has happened several times now so unfortunately I will no longer bother with them. There is no food worth that horrible service and being treated poorly for the mistakes they make. My advice to them is listen to your customers and acknowledge your mistakes without making your customers feel bad for your mistakes!!! Maybe if you weren't rushing then you would be able to attend to your customers in an appropriate way.

This place is always busy on mornings so either call ahead for pickup or you can order delivery. We try to do the former as they do have a delivery fee. But it's a solid and consistent option for breakfast sandwiches and omelets.

This place is bad. The service here is bad. The only good thing is the deliveries. They are pretty fast and one of the delivery drivers is actually really nice. So if you want an order, order delivery.

Nice and spacey bagel shop and deli. I stopped by the pharmacy and saw a bagel place, I'm a sucker for delicious breakfast, so why not, right? It wasn't very busy inside and I was able to order quickly. I looked at the menus above the counter, the place has a really large and nice looking lunch selection. I was there for a breakfast bagel though, so I opted to grab a bacon, egg and cheese on a whole wheat everything. The sandwich was delicious. The bacon was nice and crispy and the egg was cooked perfectly. The bagel too was delicious. It had a nice crust and doughy inside. Perfect place to grab a quick breakfast sandwich. The people were also very nice and fast with service.

Be careful when ordering online via Grubhub or other services. I'd placed an order on Tuesday, March 14 which happened to be the date of a major Nor'easter snow storm in NY. I was pretty pumped when I saw on Grubhub that New York Bagels was delivering - only they weren't. My order never arrived and when I tried to dispute the charges through Grubhub and my bank's customer service, NY Bagels maintained that they had delivered my order, in spite of no evidence to support this position. It was a cheap $20 order so you would think that this would have been easily resolved. Unfortunately, three months later, I'm still trying to get my money back. Long story short, the bagels are still great but their customer service - not so much.

I come here all the time. The place is always busy in the morning, but they never fail to get your order right, and have you on your way in a decent time. I've gotten breakfast and lunch here and they never miss. Always fresh and always delicious.

Bagels were ok but it took forever to get a simple bacon egg and cheese. They weren't even that busy.

Food was good. Restaurant called to let me know that they were out of some items and suggested replacement options. Overall we were pretty satisfied with the service and the bagels were pretty fresh and delicious. The put lots of cream cheese and everything tasted good

The reason for 1 star is the most important thing. ( SERVICE ) while their food is amazing and they're actually friendly once spoken to but when it comes to the actual service of this business it's a complete shit show. There are customers waiting around not knowing what to do or where to order because it's a free for all. There's no specific pick up line, checkout line or order line. ( smh ) Everyone behind the counter is doing the same exact thing ( taking orders, checking someone out or making food ) instead of each having something specific to do to make the customers experience better ! And lastly the phones lol, 90% of the time they just choose not to answer. I've even been inside the store on the line and have witness just no one picking up the phone.

Not sure if there's new owners or what here but my last couple experiences have been terrible. Today takes the prize though. Went in and ordered a hobo sandwich on a hero. That sandwich consists of 3 eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, cheese and either home fries or has browns. I get home and open the wrapping and I have home fries on a hero that's it. So I call let them know I'll be coming back even tho it's inconvenient and get a new one I didn't ask for anything back just wanted the sandwich correct. Go back make the exchange was a little surprised they didn't offer a coffee or something for their mess up but whatever. Sooooo I get home open my sandwich and guess what? This time I got egg whites and tomatoes with home fries on a hero. Yes I know should have checked the second time. I call back again and this time I said I'll be coming in for a refund and anew sandwich ok? And the guy on the phone said no problem. I get to the deli and there is no sandwich made he just hands me my money and says I didn't hear you say another sandwich too and offers to make it right then I didn't have time to wait so I said eff it took my money and left. Even if I hadn't asked for another sandwich which I did you should want to make it right after making someone drive back and forth 3 times. Just terrible. Oh his excuse was the chef was in training and had given me the healthy hobo which isn't found anywhere on any menu.
