Just a joy to be at this place and see all of the options they have. Best cuts of meat and quality I've seen in Atlanta. The premade food such as gouda mac and cheese are outstanding. The best lasagna I've ever had with the exception of Mom's :-). No joke, get the lasagna. The service is fantastic and everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable.

It's real and authentic the chicken is so fresh the beef taste fresh and the daily meal special is amazing! The staff very friendly and engaging. I really don't mind driving all the way over there! And look forward to getting all my meats there!

Great place that you'll pass by if you don't know its there. The staff is courteous and know their products. It's a great alternative to the big box Whole Foods down the street with lots of tasty treats inside. The cuts of meat are top-notch, I recommend the bone in pork chops (with a little S&P!)

Being from New York I had expectations that this would truly be a “NY Butcher” …upon entering, the merchandise on the shelf was definitely NOT representative to a NY Butcher shop. The sausage wasn’t even close to back home …The concept is great, if you live in Georgia, however , comparatively speaking, not even close to a NY Butcher. The service was SLOW.. wine was good but the pours were scant. I truly was excited to have found this place thinking I’ve found a NY diamond in the rough… but left a bit disappointed.

A hidden gem. A Fantastic fresh and clean butcher shop. This place has amazing cuts of meat and freshly prepared foods. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I’ve never been disappointed. Don’t confuse this place with a grocery store or meat market, It’s a curated shopping experience. There are selections of everything needed for the perfect dinner or party presentation. From appetizers and cheese to wine they have it all.

Great service for the most part They do have a awesome inventory high end meats If you get a chance you should visit. Also they have a wine selection that mirrors any great steak house

Rotten meat for Christmas We picked up the Prime Beef Whole Tenderloin Roast and the Boneless Rib Roast on Christmas Eve. I opened the packages on Christmas to find a lovely cut of rib roast and a rancid tenderloin roast that smelled and had parts come apart in a slimy ashy mess in my hand. Merry Christmas. You guys need to make this right. I will be reaching out to you tomorrow. This is beyond unacceptable and goes into dangerous territory. Shame on you.

How clever of me to be living within in walking distance of this store! This week I was in search of snacks and dessert to celebrate a friend's April birthday. I hadn't seen her in a long time, and didn't know her latest preferences and I didn't want to fix a whole meal, as such. Suddenly I saw a beautiful box containing charcuterie (plus honey, jam, dried apricots, fresh grapes, brie and other cheeses, chocolate chunks, nuts and crackers) on a refrigerated shelf. There was just one, and it felt like my name was written on it! Nearby was a luscious-looking lemon pound cake, which I presented, with strawberries from a local farmers market. So many choices turned out to be perfect, for our non-stop (6 hour) conversation! We didn't even need any silverware, just grab and gab!! Please come here with an open mind, and maybe even no idea of what you want, and always go away delighted!!

Okay so I needed to find a place to get some femur bones for my dog. It's very hard to find a good butcher shop that carries these. I was so lucky to find this place. They're the nicest people when you walk in. They have a wonderful selection of wines and boutique foods up front. But what really got me was their selection of pre-made store made food ready to buy. I bought the chicken lasagna just enough for me and maybe some leftovers for tomorrow. I hated it up for half an hour in my oven and it was good to go. They have a vast selections of large small portion pre-made food. I'm so excited this is going to be my new place to grab something to eat and instead of a restaurant. Oh and the butcher was the nicest man.

I've really enjoyed this new to me butcher located in Sandy Springs. They have weekly specials(Wednesday wings are the fave right now) as well as prepared meals to go(lasagna, soup etc). Frozen items as well as fresh cuts and everything from seafood to meat selections. Very lovely and they have a rewards system for cash back! Also wine shop!

Great place for curated steaks and tasty take-out meals. Whether it's a special hand-cut steak or a homemade take/out dish, you won't be disappointed. Service is always warm and friendly, and they have a decent wine selection. We love to pick up their homemade meatloaf and mashed potatoes for dinner. Meatloaf like mom used to make and the potatoes are the real deal. Such great comfort at a good price. You couldn't cook it yourself for this!

The service is great and they are always able to answer questions and order specialty items. Very grateful they are near our house.

Brenda was super helpful! I got the ribeye which was so amazing & tender! The crème corn I wasn't to fond of and a treat for my dog! She loved it! They also have the 50 year caymus!

Great quality meats and great staff. In addition to their delicious meats behind the counter, they also have some meals frozen/refrigerated for you to grab for an easy meal. I enjoy coming here for myself, but also when I want to gift someone a special cut of steak. I recommend the tomahawk if you can swing it!

Marietta Location: The cooked meals we have tried a couple of times are: Pot roast is over salted and vegetables not thoroughly cooked - no bueno. The Lasagna has great flavor, but for my personal taste it has way too much red pepper flakes that overpowers the rest of the flavors. Mentioned this to management , and was told this is their recipe, and all meals with marinara sauce will have the same level of red pepper flakes - we won't be purchasing them . The Ziti meal I tastes good, but again too much spicey hot flavor. The Veal parmagian is very good. We buy a lot of fresh meat and are pleased with those purchases.

It probably tastes 15% better than Publix meat but the price is like 100% higher. I wanted to go fancy and grill good meats for a small gathering. But no one including myself can tell this is that much better in quality.

I went with a new colleague/friend. The service was very friendly and fast. We sat outside on the patio, which is streetside, so expect it to be loud, but not overly so. PLEASE try the brussels sprouts and the steak flight (not sure if that's the true name), because it was delicious! I will definitely return to sample the rest of the menu.

This butcher shop has the best meat ever! The choices are vast including Waygu beef and cuts like Spinalis and bone-in pork chops. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

What a great local butcher!!! This is a real butcher with lots of hard to find cuts and meats in stock. Plus they will work with you to get whatever you want. We came here for veal cutlets and prices were good, not cheap but a superior quality product. Come support your neighborhood business!!!

This place does NOT have a restaurant. No lunch or dinner menu, it is JUST a butcher shop. Do not trust Evans review about the steak sandwich, he's a buffoon. The other locations have a restaurant but this one does not!

Had lunch on my first visit. The steak sandwich was excellent and the pricing was very fair. Grabbed a couple teres majors from the butcher side on my way out. Friendly service and tons of prepared food options.

We ordered several cuts os meat -- all exceptionally expensive. Grilled the Tenderloin last night - $45 per pound I think -- tough and not worth it. Tonight we had their Veal Parmigiana. Absolutely terrible -- most bread;. We had high hopes for this place but we will never go again.

I purchased a cowboy rib eye , cooked perfectly 140 internal temp, the steak was supposed to be prime choice, have gotten better steaks from Whole Foods, this steak was rubbery and tasted like bologna. Im so disappointed it was a 50 dollar waste of money, Im from New York and this is no way like any nyc style butcher shop everything is cheap quality and over priced because of the location its in, if you want top quality meats buckhead buter is your best option here in the atlanta area . I called the next day to tell them how horrible it was and they just said sorry , ok & I remember you from yesterday . What a waste... horrible

I am following up to say that I am not sure what Veronica from LA is talking about. I was back in the store today buying some wine and they most certainly have NOT closed. Sadly, Atlanta has too many Peachtree Streets and Roswell Road incarnations and Veronica must have been looking in the wrong place - in the City of Roswell perhaps? Regardless, this shop is located inside 285 in what's basically South Sandy Springs at the exact address listed here on Yelp. I know the phone number is also correct so instead of driving in circles I might have chosen to call. Just a thought..

YAAAY MEAT!! Super thick cut bacon for my BLTs. Great selection if meats, sausages, sides, pre-made dishes, wine, bbq woods and sauces and seasonings!

I have been passing this place and finally had a chance to go in. I purchased slab bacon, macaroni and cheese, and herb roasted potatoes. It is fully prepared you just have to pop it in the oven. They can marinate on-site. I also got the Vidalia onion marinated chicken thighs. Can't wait to cook them. I will definitely be back for their steaks. My daughter purchased the lasagna and chicken parmesan. Reasonable prices on the packs that feed 2-3 people. The party trays are a bit pricey but actually match what you would get from Whole Foods and the like. They also have a rewards program! Update: My daughter said the chicken parm and lasagne is good! If you knew her you would know that is high praise because she is picky!

I can't say enough good things about this place! Incredible quality and good, staff is amazing. We love to grab meals to go, meat to grill and even catch the daily specials during the week.

I have passed by this place so many times going up and down Roswell Rd. I finally went in today. I got two burgers (have yet to try) and the Eggplant Parm and Roasted Potatoes. TBH, I was expecting more. The potatoes had way too much pepper on them and the Eggplant was not fully cooked and super mushy. Perhaps their otherwise sides and meat is better. I would not get these two items again.

Amazed that we have such a place in Milton! A butcher shop, upscale pre- packaged meals, and a great wine/beer bar! We had the slider special with truffle fries and draft beers. Excellent!

We LOVE NYBS! We can always find something yummy here, especially when looking for a great steak. The staff is so helpful and we always seem to spend a long time here, gabbing about this and that. It makes for a fun trip! On our latest trip, we decided to get waygu beef sirloin steaks, which was $19/lb. honestly? It was like butter. We actually got a prime ribeye (our fave cut of beef) to contrast/compare against the waygu and it was absolutely no contest. The flavor and tenderness of the waygu was absolutely five star. NYBS also has a lot of prepared meal items, wine, and yummy sausages. Definitely explore the store after selecting your meat items! They also have meat packages (see pic for pricing). If you're looking for something special, definitely consider NYBS!

I don't write many reviews. However, this place made me want to shout out how good it is. The place is small, but has pre-packaged lasagnas, Mac and and cheese, and meats that you don't normally find - like bison. The beef is rated Prime, which is the highest rating given to meat based on tenderness, juiciness and flavor. I've had grass fed beef cuts before and some of the finest steaks money can buy. However, the best beef that I've now had are the hanger steaks from this shoppe. :-) We cooked them on high in cast iron until medium rare and they were as tender as the most tender filet that I've ever had with more flavor (nutty sage comes to mind) and a little fat as a bonus. This beef is not cheap. However, if you want to be shocked at how good beef can taste, give this shoppe a try. Oh yeah, they have pork, chicken and homemade sausage as well. And the customer service was top notch! We will be back.

Do you want a quality steak shown to you before it is even cut " yes" you can have that too.There are also chicken, pork & beef cuts to choose from in the cases that you can point to, have wrapped and you are on you're way. Hopefully to the nearest hot grill. Need sides your in luck walk in turn to your right all are in the cool cases along with soup(s), dips and even spreads. Don't feel like cooking, pre made meals are available just warm them up in the oven. Frozen pastas, family or party sized meals and meats or sausages can be found in the frozen cases (on the left). Do I really need to say more.....Yes, hot sauce/sauces are available and in the summer months that beautiful "Green Egg" has been for sale. Great shop with an awesome selection. The butchers working there really want to help you pick the best cut of meat available-- they don't upsell for the sake of $$$. Last time I was in the butcher suggested I get the normal cut over the prime since it genuinely looked like a better steak. How can you not support a business like that? I'll definitely keep coming back here

This is my other butcher besides my local Patton's Meat Market. There is so much more here than expected. Just to name some: -sauces/spices -sides like potatoes all types of ways, macaroni & cheese -dipping sauces & pimento cheese -FROZEN meats that include game; veal (osso buco cut included), duck, lamb, & veal. -bread rolls -even dessert! A few pies or tiramisu (cinnamon rolls too) -Wine!!! Can't forget the wine!! -smoke chips & charcoal -bones for broth or marrow They really thought about the set up here, making it a good one stop shop to get what you need for a good meal. There is a loyalty program, you do eventually get money off. Everyone was helpful & friendly as well. No complaints from me!

Best in-store steak selection I've ever seen. Really a gem of a business and so glad to have them in town. Great options all around and truly highly quality steak options.

Every neighborhood needs its local butcher. For the past three years I've lived on the line between Buckhead and Sandy Springs, this is where I've come for the good meat. No one does a prime filet, cut to your specifications by the ounce, like New York Butcher Shoppe. Service is always friendly and helpful. Need your meat seasoned? Marinade suggestions? Approximate cooking time? The staff knows their meats. There's also a nice selection side dishes, salads, and even housemade pimento cheese dip. Need booze to go with that meal? They've got a bevy of bottled wines plus 64 oz. growlers from the Beer Growler place next door. For a girl who likes to dine out, I'll stay in anytime if I know my husband is grilling steaks from our favorite local butcher.

We have always loved the Butcher Shoppe but the ability to have their high-quality, made-with-care food delivered to our door has changed the quarantine for us! The food, wine, customer service is second to none.

Yum! Nothing like a good steak dinner for a great price. I purchased two of the fillet meal deals off of Groupon. Each deal included two fillet mignon steaks, bread, salad and two stuffed & loaded baked potatoes. I ended up with dinner for 4 for $30! I was a little skeptical that the quality of the meat wouldn't be that great since the price was so low but I was really impressed! All of the steaks were a great size and were cut really well. They cooked up perfectly on the grill and tasted delicious - absolutely no need for steak sauce whatsoever. While the steaks were amazing, I must admit that the potatoes were my favorite part of the meal. I'm a carbohydrate junkie and have eaten many potatoes in my lifetime. The potatoes from NY Butcher Shoppe were off the charts good. Imagine half a baked potato topped with mashed potatoes infused with bacon and cheese. Mmmm...yeah...can you say a mouth full of AWESOMENESS! Whew...I could have just eaten the potatoes and been in heaven. I will definitely be going back to NY Butcher Shoppe and I really hope to see them on Groupon again. The only reason this isn't a "5 Star" review is because this "Buckhead" location isn't actually in Buckhead. Its most definitely in Sandy Springs (I saw the 'Welcome to Sandy Springs' sign on my way there). Luckily I looked at the map prior to purchasing my Groupon so I knew what to expect. I would absolutely love it if they opened a location that is truly in Buckhead as that would be much more convenient.

Such a great local burger with expert advice! I had no idea what to buy or how to cook it and I got step by step instructions on how to make the best filets ever! Can't wait to try more. And there prepared foods including the Buffalo chicken dip are to die for.

Love the people here! There is no better ground beef in town. I'm serious. The taste difference for burgers, spaghetti or chili is notable by all. The prime bone-in ribeye, wagyu strip, house made hot Italian sausage and LARGE chicken wings cannot be beat. Also, my new favorite finishing BBQ sauce "Daddy Sam's".

My favorite butcher shop in Atlanta. The prices are higher than high end grocery stores but I would say well worth it. The staff are super helpful so I'm always comfortable walking in with no idea what I want to grill that evening. They have prepared side dishes too if you want to make only one stop for your meal.

So glad I found this little gem. My fiancé and I decided to stop here on a whim and purchased some sausage. The wild boar and cranberry sausages were AMAZING. Today we went back and bought some ground beef for burgers on the grill. The fat content was perfect and our burgers were juicy and delicious all the way through. I'm excited to try the steaks next (all with beautiful marbling). Their prices are super reasonable and their environment is very friendly and homey.

My family loves this neighborhood treasure. An actual butcher who is knowledgeable and loves his job vs. someone hired to do a job they don't necessarily want to do in a grocery store. The meat is fresh and they have a large variety of specialty cuts. I also love the "meals to go" section with complete meals that just need to be heated and then served. I have a friend that actually places the meals in her serving dishes at home and passes the food off as hers! The owners are also very friendly and the staff is always happy to help/answer any questions.

Nice option for better cuts of meat in the area. Prices can add up swiftly but there are some decent reasons to make a trip here when you are looking for something different. Good quality.

All I know is Matt W must have had a really bad experience to give 1 star. Luckily, mine was much better. I too had a groupon and it is probably the only was I could afford 2 filet mignon. The staff was friendly, the guy at the counter seemed a bit tough at first but after a little joking around with his boss he lightened up. My meal was promptly put together by the manager ( i am sorry i forgot his name) and I asked for advice on indoor cooking which he politely gave. He also added a nice spice rub. The meal came with the filets (is it proper to put an s on the end to pluralize filets, i took Spanish so i have no idea) , 2 twice baked loaded potatoes, a bagged salad and some bread. The sides are obviously not the main show here so I am not even sure why I mentioned but the potatoes were yummy. The filets were HUGE and fresh and sitting for 24 hours in the spice rub was a good way to go for me. They were like butter and i def had a bunch of OMG moments. When i am on that side of town i would come back in to browse and they seem to have everything you need to prepare i whole meal, i saw more kinds of meat that i ever had and i think i even saw charcoal. I do remember the chef and wine persons name is Hope. I didnt deal with her but was introduced by the manager and she also seemed very friendly. Perhaps Matt W went on an off day or maybe he was a difficult customer. I did notice he said they were "unable to satisfy" his request and i know they groupon clearly states its only for the filet meal deal. All i know for sure was that i was over all satisfied with the service and the food.

I visited the Dunwoody store, and found the customer service to be authentically New York; that's to say they were remarkably rude and were unable to satisfy my request. I will not be going back, provided that I'm able to return my groupon.

Very asembly line. You won't have any meats hanging from the ceiling. They have some prepared foods. Some good prices. some expensive. When you buy a cut of meat, they over to season it for you or give you some seasonings on the side. They also have sandwiches. Frozen pastas and fish. I might stop by every now and then to see what's new.

I enjoy going here every now and then for some quality meat for myself and my dogs. I once bought 20 of their burgers for a tailgate and they were a big hit. Get the burgers!

Best butcher in town. Tonight we had veal chops. Always great service and they will order anything they do not carry in stock. Their sides are not to be missed. Doubled stuffed potatoes....enough said.

This place is great for high quality meats. While you won't find grassfed beef here, what they do have is the best tasting, immensely marbled steaks you will find in Atlanta. They have a nice section of prepared meals and sides - try the twice baked potatoes, worth every penny. They are always willing to cut fresh steaks if you need specific sizes or weights. They also carry Wagyu on occasion which is a real treat!

The meat is high quality, And you will pay top dollar for it! My favorite is their Brunswick stew. You can buy pre made frozen dinners dinners that are to die for. They also sell wine and bread.
