I recently had this beef patty, and it was absolutely amazing! It was so fresh and flavorful. It came with a delicious green sauce that had a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness. It was simply delicious

I liked it. My gyro was fully customizable chipotle-style, so I could put stuff I normally wouldn't (Pico or banana peppers) on my gyro. Good food. Some of the food was overpriced though. The mango shake is 5 dollars for a medium sized cup. Nice place though. Good vibe.

New York Gyro never disappoints! Every time I visit, the food is fresh, flavorful, and full of that authentic New York street-style taste. The chop cheese is absolutely incredible — juicy, cheesy, and seasoned perfectly. It’s one of the best I’ve had! The bread is soft yet holds everything together, and every bite just melts in your mouth. The biryani is loaded with spices and aroma — each grain of rice is flavorful, and the meat is tender and perfectly cooked. It’s comfort food done right, with just the right level of heat and richness. And the lamb chops? Simply next level. They’re smoky, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite — tender meat with that chargrilled finish that makes you want to order another plate. The staff is super friendly, service is quick, and the place always feels welcoming. If you’re looking for delicious food with generous portions, New York Gyro is the spot. Definitely recommend the chop cheese, lamb chops, and biryani — you won’t regret it!

Extremely good food! My only complaint is the tatziki tastes like it's mayo based. I would have appreciated a more tangy sauce but other than that it's a 10/10 and I will be coming here again!

Regular naan with butter chicken was absolutely delicious! The flavors instantly reminded me of the amazing Indian meals I enjoyed during my visit to India. Authentic taste, perfectly cooked naan, and rich, flavorful butter chicken. Great Indian food right here in Minneapolis—highly recommended!

I wanted to love it but I only liked it. The good: stick to their gyros. Sooo freaking flavorful and they use a bigass pita/naan for the gyro. I got chicken and I swear it is everything. That chicken is seasoned to the bone (it's actually boneless lol). You have a bunch of sauces to choose from to customize it too. But that's about it tbh. I got their student fries with meat, and I messed up bc I ordered it with their hot sauce and asked for extra lmao. The hot sauce literally has no spice to it; black pepper has more of a kick for you mild folks out there and that says a lot lol. So my fries just had an overwhelming tang flavor to everything that unfortunately was not pleasant. I also got their beef patty and beef pai. Honestly, idk which is which bc they both came in the same container but one of em has like a flaky dough and the other has a puff pastry (for the Chicagoans, it's a pizza puff lol). You can honestly skip both of these. The one with the flaky dough was just underwhelming: the beef was more like a beef paste that was underseasoned. Overall, the store was super clean. They got that AC going. Lots of dine-in seating. I'd definitely go again just for their gyros (and possibly rice plates along with that mango lassi calling out to me). Avoid the hot sauce lol.

Straightforward gyro open late night. Chicken rice is my go to. The rice is great. The chicken can be hit or miss but it’s pretty good. Lots of fresh veggie and sauce options to add. They usually give you a decent portion size. Service is slow or fast depending on the time you come. Price isn’t expensive but it isn’t exactly cheap either, especially the sides/drinks
