Marriott Marquis Times Square is a lovely Hotel with many amenities and friendly staff. It's in the heart of Times Square and close to many entertainment outlets. Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Comfortable beds & clean room. Great walk-in shower and as many towels as we needed. Room service was great as well as Housekeeping, with Sabrina making sure I was refunded for drink machine taking my money & provided the drinks. We were on the 25th floor and the noise level was fine. |This was my 2nd trip with my daughter-in-law and the last time we were Marriott members. So, I thought we were put in the Broadway facing rooms b/c of this and when booking this time for Dec 15 -18 for her birthday celebration, in order to guarantee we would get the same view, which was phenomenal, I thought I had to pay for the Times Square view option. An expensive incorrect thought on my part! It had us facing the New Years Ball Drop Tower! Not the bustling Broadway view we had last time. Barely could see Broadway. Very disappointing. I was told the Broadway view is where they put everyone. Marriott Marquis shouldn't charge extra for Times Square view if your reservations are NOT during New Years Eve - New Years Day!! Just be informed of this view! I left an expensive water bottle/canister, with water filter, in the room refrigerator and called back within 12 hours to retrieve and it couldn't be found. If you book with an outside agent, you are not entitled to the Marriott points. Why? Marriott gets their money, regardless. I used Priceline because I got a good deal on room and flight. That was an expensive stay, and I could have really racked up points for my son membership. Total $2431 for 3 night's stay not including flight but including resort fee of $134.

I stayed at the New York Marriott Marquis while attending a conference in the hotel. The location can't be beat, and I had great views from the 43rd floor. The elevators can take a while during the day, but were quick after hours. The view from the Broadway Lounge is fantastic, especially for the Times Square midnight moment. The staff are kind and willing to give time and space for visiting, even after last call. If you want to be in the middle of it all with easy access to subways and lots of walkable restaurants and entertainment, this is a great spot!

Excellent location and property. Beautiful rooms and views. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. As some noted, elevators can be a bit frustrating but didn't hold us up much. Location excellent for Broadway shows and shopping! I'm concerned about technology here. We started to wait in line to check out and confirm the daily 40 fee was properly charged and offset by the promised credits, but a service agent would not let us enter the line. We are Marriott elite members and I have never had this happen. He kept saying the hotel needs over 48 hours to process charges and that no receipt would be ready. I told him I'd just review posted charges and he said there would be none yet. Concerned that a hotel of this size can't figure out how to post charges as they are incurred. Makes it seem as if they want you off property so you can't easily handle bill issues. Not a great look. Suggest they focus on technology upgrades that allow them to see current amounts due from guests.

Hotel's location was awesome. Just on the corner of Times square. Fantastic. Easy to access to all major locations in Manhattan. One downside - price. I am not sure if the price vs value has a good ratio. I would say it is too expensive to what you get. If it is not the location - I would have booked hotel elsewhere. Good decent 5 star hotel, but all 5 star hotels are the same.

We had such a lovely Valentine’s weekend at the New York Marriott Marquis! The location was excellent and we loved being able to walk to so many nearby spots, including the show we came to see. The subway was also just steps away, which made getting around incredibly easy. Check-in and check-out were both quick and seamless, and every employee we encountered was genuinely kind and welcoming. We enjoyed visiting the bar and grabbing coffee from the gift shop a couple of times during our stay. Everything we tried was delicious. The view from our room was absolutely amazing and made the weekend feel even more special. The only small downside is that you do hear typical city noise, like car horns and sirens. However, with the TV on, we were able to sleep comfortably. We would absolutely return and look forward to staying here again!

If it was possible to give zero stars I would, and I will never return here again. I was staying here for a few days for a business trip, of which I am in the city several times a year for, so I WOULD be a repeat customer if not for the experience I just had today. I was sitting in the lobby doing some work on my tablet - which is a public seating area by the way, and many others were doing the same. Out of the blue, two security goons appeared out of nowhere and asked for my room key. I didn’t happen to have it with me because it was with someone else that is staying in the room, who was out in a meeting at the time. I would have attempted to explain that, but they were complete jerks that refused to listen or acknowledge a word that I said, and only kept interrupting me and cutting me off every time I opened my mouth. They forced me to leave, and as I was walking out, I saw them again and tried AGAIN to talk to them, and they literally turned their noses up and walked away from me like I wasn’t a human being at all. It’s also important to point out they were not asking everyone, they were clearly picking and choosing who to ask, for what reason I don’t know. But I watched them walk by several groups and say nothing at all. I fully intent to forward this to corporate, but I wanted to make sure as many people as possible see it in case you find yourself in the same situation. The person who had my room key could have easily even gotten it back to me within 5 minutes or so, but that’s not the point, because they literally never even allowed me the chance to speak because they were too busy pulling their pathetic little power trip. As I said, I’m up here often for business, and have stayed here before, but this will be the last time for sure. There are plenty of other places that don’t treat their paid guests like criminals.

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel’s gift shop during my stay. It was extremely convenient and well-stocked, making it easy to grab everything I needed without leaving the hotel. The shop was clean, organized, and easy to navigate. The layout made it simple to find items quickly, even during busy hours. The staff was friendly, professional, and efficient at checkout. They answered my questions and made the experience pleasant.

First time at the Marquis and it won't be our last. As former NYers, the hotel always seemed kind of hokey/touristy. Well, we were proven wrong and happily I might add! The service is TOP NOTCH! From the reception (who went out of their way to offer up an hour later check out with a new card for the M lounge) to the guys handling valet and luggage, to the waiter in the M lounge who cleaned up with a huge smile on his face, our stay was fabulous. Everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was quiet and well-appointed. I liked the way you had to use your card via screen to get to your floor. The 8th floor has a great atmosphere and the M lounge was a perfect place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. You can't beat the location with everything at your fingertips, Times Square and the rest of Manhattan ready when you are. We were just so impressed with all of the staff and it made us proud of our city. Keep up the good work!

I recently stayed at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely perfect--right in the heart of Broadway, just steps away from the theaters and the bustling energy of Times Square. Whether you're in the city for a Broadway show or just soaking in the neon lights, this hotel puts you right in the action. One of the standout features was the incredible views of Times Square. From my room, I could see the lights and crowds below, and it really felt like being in the center of it all. It's one of those rare hotel views that truly make you feel like you're in New York City. The hotel offers great amenities, including a lounge, restaurant, and a convenient store on-site. I was particularly impressed by the restaurant, which served truly exceptional food. It's not often that you find hotel dining that stands out, but the dishes were flavorful and fresh--definitely above and beyond what I expected. For Bonvoy members, the M Lounge is a must-visit. As a Platinum member, I had access to the lounge, and it was the perfect spot for a quiet coffee, light snacks, and drinks throughout the day. If you're not a Platinum member, you can still access the lounge for $75 per person, which I think is a great deal considering the all-day offerings of coffee, snacks, daily breakfast buffet, nightly hors d'oeuvres and a comfortable place to relax or work. It's a great retreat from the chaos of Times Square. The staff across the board were excellent. From the front desk to the housekeepers, everyone was friendly, professional, and attentive. It really made a difference in the overall experience, and I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities you'd expect from a Marriott. The bed was plush, and the space was quiet, which is impressive given the central location. It's clear the hotel takes cleanliness and guest comfort seriously. In summary, the Marriott Marquis Times Square offers a perfect blend of location, luxury, and convenience. Whether you're there for business, a Broadway show, or just to experience NYC, it's an ideal place to stay. The amazing views, top-notch service, and great amenities (especially the M Lounge) make it stand out among the Times Square hotels. Highly recommend!

Ahh, it is A Wonderful Life when you stay at the Marriott Marquis... It is centrally located in Time Square, and an easy walk (even in December) to numerous locations (Macy's, NY City Library, Hudson Square, etc). You'll need to go to the 8th floor to check in - but rest assured they will take very good care of you at Reception and the Bell Desk. Staff are courteous and knowledgeable, which often can be hard to find at so many places. We were fortunate to have Fred assist us with check-in, he is a polished professional and went beyond customer service, providing true hospitality! Our room was simply spectacular, immaculate, and well-appointed. It was located on the 12th floor, a corner location with a great view of Times Square. The Club Room was a quiet place to grab a snack - and they do have a generous appetizer offering in the evening. **The elevator system is definitely unique - once you scan your key card it directs you to a specific elevator that will take you to your desired floor. Although it takes a minute to learn the lettering sequence, it is well worth it to not stop at every floor!

Out of all the times I have been to NYC, I have never stayed in Times Sqaure, until now. I was hesitant but booked after I heard this hotel was upgraded in 2020. I loved it! Such a great environment, staff is amazing, rooms are nice, views are great, and you can't beat the location. New York is loud but you can't hear a peep from your room. Loved the restaurant, epic view overlooking Times Sqaure. Loved the M lounge and the complimentary breakfast the hotel offers was pretty solid. You also can't beat a Starbucks in level 1. So level 8, that's where the action is, main lobby, M life Lounge, Concierge, restaurant and bars. Really loved every minute here.

The good part first: the rooms are large, comfortable, and quiet. The restaurant has pretty good food for a hotel restaurant and the servers were uniformly excellent. Getting into the hotel is a bit confusing; the lobby and check-in are on the 8th floor, and there was no signage or staff at ground level to provide directions, but we found it eventually. The tepid review is for two reasons: 1) At check-in, a $400 hold was placed on my credit card. After three weeks and counting, that hold has not yet been released. My credit card company required confirmation from the hotel to release it, the hotel is not willing to assist in providing this confirmation, they're just saying they already released it and it's not their fault. 2) I was sharing a room with a Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite member, who was smirkingly told by the concierge Alex that she could not access her membership perks because her husband was present. All in all, there are better options in midtown Manhattan.

If you are prepared for the crowds within Times Square, then this location is great. The room itself I thought was very spacious and the beds were comfortable! Our room view was really great overlooking Times Square, and the curtains did a great job of blacking out the lights. The M Lounge employees were super friendly which really stood out. However, the evening appetizers at this location were extremely underwhelming as it was basic meats and cheeses. There is a bar inside of this M Lounge which is nice to escape the lobby bar crowd, however, I was pretty shocked at how expensive all of the drink options were.

Javier, Ruth, Valentina, and the host with the mullet and brown suit always make my visit worth while! As a local, this is my GO-TO spot to bring anyone who comes to visit the city. Ryan's spicy chicken, and the sleepless in manhattan are my usual choices, but everything is so good it's hard to choose!

Look. If you want a 5 star experience, then stay at the Ritz. This isn't my first rodeo here. Rooms have always been clean. The food is to be expected. Very good for a hotel. Prices are standard for staying in NYC in a prime location. It's close to everything. Save on cab fees and walk to Empire State, Central Park, Intrepid Museum, Broadway shows, Radio City etc etc etc.

I stayed at the New York Marriott Marquis for New Year's due to its proximity to Times Square. If you decide to stay here for NYE, there's a two-night minimum and you cannot check-in on December 31. For reference, a normal night at the Marriott Marquis will cost around $300 for a basic room. When I stayed for New Year's it cost a whopping $1,300 per night! haha and that's not a suite either. The hotel is huge and has several restaurants, bars, a Starbucks, gym etc. You're right in the heart of Times Square so it really is a good spot to stay. Since most of Times Square is closed on New Year's it was so convenient to have the Starbucks and restaurants open at the hotel. For New Years the hotel will give you a card that you show to police officers to get through the barricades. On NYE only guests can enter the hotel. After the ball dropped, it was about a 45 minute wait to get back to the room. However, it was a pretty organized wait. There's a long line to get up the elevators but they try to arrange it by floor number. This hotel has so many guests that the check-in process can be a bit chaotic. Luckily, we were able to do an early check-in, not as early as we wanted, but good enough. The room itself was nice, great experience. Our cleaning lady was also great and very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel for New Years in NYC.

2nd time staying here in as many months. This place is nice. I'm a diamond member at Hilton but my parents are loyal Titanium lifetime members. The suite they got was very nice. Our standard double room was very comfortable though. The M Lounge was pretty crazy during peak breakfast hours, but lots of delicious choices. The coolest part of the hotel is the elevator ride to the top floors. It's like a rocket ride in glass pods. In my opinion, the river view is better than the city view. Traffic is absolution horrendous during peak Broadway hours. Seas of people and cars in chaotic gridlock...so think hard on whether you want to use hotel parking or not, and especially when you want to enter or exit the garage. It literally took me 30 minutes to drive around the block from the parking exit to the parking entrance of the hotel.

We love to stop in for a while to walk around. If enjoy browsing in the gift shop. They used to let you ride the elevator which I loved years ago. I also enjoyed the old restaurant/bar on the 8th floor but it's different now. Brings back lots of memories coming here.

This is one of my favorite Marriott properties. Really would be a five star review if it weren't for the front desk, staff, never really been impressed by the service at check-in. However, the other amenities are great. The M club has excellent food, and varies their service each night. However, the drinks are way overpriced at the bar inthe M club. Security and other staff at the hotel seems to be very helpful. This is a clean and safe location in my opinion. And I stay here every time I come to Manhattan.. It doesn't hurt that it is conveniently located to dozens of good restaurants.

Spectacular! This is a huge luxurious hotel centrally located in Times Square and is really well run, from check-in to bellman service to concierge to dining and excursions and cleaning staff. I was granted an early check-in. My 29th-floor room was clean, huge, and comfortable. It had an incredible view. The staff were friendly, attentive, courteous, and competent. I would one thousand percent recommend this hotel.

I've never actually stayed here but I've been here for a corporate event and in the theater space on the 2nd floor for a Broadway show. I love riding the open elevators and just watching them against the backdrop of the building interior. It's definitely a convenient spot for tourists to stay with a dedicated parking driveway downstairs, the closeness to Times Square, Broadway theaters, and the subway.

I stayed at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square this past weekend for a convention. Getting in and out of the hotel is fraught with stressors because you are in Times Square. During the summertime it's insufferably crowded with people gawking, crowding, pushing, and shoving. Normally as a New Yorker, I would never dare stay in Times Square, but with the rate that I always use with my Marriott Bonvoy account, and the location to the convention, it was the best option. Arriving to the hotel itself is confusing because there's a bank of elevators to get to the various hotel floors. You press a button on a touchscreen for the floor you want to go to, and the touchscreen tells you, by letter, which elevator to stand in front of. If everybody's wanting to go to a certain floor, they're all assigned one elevator, so most of the elevators were packed my entire stay. Once I got up to the eighth floor to check in, I was told by Farida, a staff member, that the rate that I had booked my hotel room under was not valid so I asked her to give me the best rate. She gave me a member rate but continued trying to upsell me multiple times to rates that were more than $600 a night. The last room she told me "would be $300 per night" when in fact it was an ADDITIONAL $300, totaling $699 per night. I looked at the bill that she asked me to sign. I realized this after signing my rate agreement and swiping my credit card, so I told her that was not what she said and it was WAY more than I was willing to spend to stay in Times Square. I asked that she instead give me to the original rate quoted, but she had charged me for the rate that she upgraded me to (plus $400 for incidentals). When I saw the hold on my credit card account, I called the information desk to speak to someone about correcting the charge and removing the hold. They had Farida call me back and she said "Yeah, what is it?" When I told her what was going on, she attempted to tell me that the rate was correct that I was not charged incorrectly however, after doing the math by myself, I called back and asked to speak to a manager, so I wouldn't have to deal with Farida's curt attitude. I spoke to a manager and she and Farida saw that Frida was wrong. They told me I had to go downstairs so that they could correct it with their accounting team. I stood around waiting for the manager, Zoe, for more than 20 minutes in a very crowded lobby waiting to have the charge removed and the bill corrected. It was just a very frustrating experience. The rooms are well appointed and spacious for Manhattan in general. Most of the train lines are within a 7 minute walk, but again, the location leaves a lot to be desired if you're there for business. It gets very hectic and they ask you to stand in their garage at a taxi stand. I saw multiple people sliding the doormen tips to skip the taxi stand line. Overall, for what I endured with the haggling of the room rate, crazy crowds, and general chaos of the hotel, I don't think I'll ever stay there again.

The event I attended here did not let me down in terms of bathroom cleanliness, conference room setup/design, tech, and food. Every day, all day the food was fantastic. I really had low expectations of hotel meals...proved me wrong and given your crème brûlée was the first I've ever had I have to say you broke me in well because it was quite good. I'd always assumed I'd hate the dessert given how it looks. But, at a professional event I can't not at least try everything presented...it's improper. So glad it was on the menu. I look forward to exploring the hotel or events held here in the future. Go, enjoy!

It's been awhile since we stayed here. This used to be our favorite place. The gym is still very good with the dumbbells, machines, cardio. We got a "Times square view" on 33rd floor. Sounds good right? Not so much, see photo of view. Basically floors 32 - 38, rooms 25 - 32 face Times Square but the rooms are set back such that you cannot see Times Square or the lights. They also charge a daily $40 fee which you can use to order food. However as expected the food is over priced and they charge a $9 fee so basically it adds up to a croissant (see photo) and 2 small cups of coffee. They did have some sorbet listed on the menu but they were somehow out of it all 4 days we were there. They were also very slow with the service. Basically when you pay for the Marquis, you expect top notch service which clearly wasn't there. It likely is the last time we will stay there. Many other choices and options which we will test out next time.

I got a fantastic deal from Sam's Club to stay at this hotel on June 1 for a night. While I normally wouldn't stay in Times Square, I was showing a friend around NYC. I was able to get checked in early at 9 AM and the check in process was super fast and smooth. The only complaint is the representative didn't inform me what benefits came with the resort fee as you can spend the $40 credit on food and drinks and you get a free pass to an attraction of your choice, such as the tour bus. The soundproof quality inside the hotel room is superb. I stayed on the 42nd floor and there was no noise from the outside. I wasn't disturbed by any noise from the rooms around me either. The room also doesn't require a key card to keep the lights and A/C on. It was very spacious in the room and the couch was super comfortable. The couch also had an option for a pull out sofa but I didn't utilize that. Despite being such a big hotel, the wait for a elevator ride is very short and the elevators require key card access which is excellent in preventing trespassers. The view of Times Square from the hotel is one of the best if not the best. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would've probably been able to get a 12 PM check out time there wasn't a big group that needed to check in. If I'm staying in Times Square again, this would definitely be my hotel of choice.

GREAT hotel....We enjoyed a wonderful 7 days over the Christmas/New Year's holiday at this centrally located hotel at Time Square. Room was very spacious, with a view of Times Square. From the moment we were received by Reception at check-in, until the end of our stay, the service we received from all departments was superb. I want to give a special shout-out to both Lilly, at the Front Desk/Reception and to Front desk mgr Mary Mannion. Both were extremely supportive in making sure I got the credits I deserved as a Titanium member. Concierge lounge was excellent, as was the onsite restaurant. I've been a guest here in the past and will eagerly return.

Came by for an event, I've been here a few times for different events, good space but the food is average. You can use the restroom here if needed around Times Square. Taking the escalator up is probably the easiest way.

Decent sized rooms for NYC, bonvoy free WiFi, mini fridge in room, decently upkept. A bit noisy if Times Square side (even on 22nd floor), and elevators are a little annoying. But overall centrally located to Broadway venues, and well-outfitted.

I am writing to offer two compliments of the Marriott Marquis Times Square and one minor complaint. I spent an entire day there. A nonprofit was holding a conference. I also snuck away for a bit to sit and work. The first compliment is the space they have for people to plug in is great. That was true throughout. Many venues in New York City are small and cramped. They have comfortable chairs and sofas and booths and high top bar style tables with stools. I rate them highly in this regard The second compliment is the food at the gala was not bad. The main course of chicken was moist. I have low standards for these functions. People are not attending for the fine dining. The logistics are not easy. To plate and to serve a ballroom of people trying to network is no picnic (well, literally or figuratively). The tiny complaint is the smart elevators. This is a first world problem. The system is confusing. The lobby is not on the ground floor. You have to ride up no matter what. These systems are intrinsically puzzling, and in this setting the problem is the bank of cars are no arranged linearly. As chain hotels in this market segment go, this establishment is designed well and runs well.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a performance of "The Wiz" at the Marriott Marquis New Theater, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from beginning to end. Stayed here for our first time in NYC for my 40th birthday, and aside from the location being great, we didn't have the best experience. It was a father and daughter trip, so my dad upgraded to a suite for individual privacy. The couch bed was decent, and the view was nice. The pros are: location and comfort for sure. The hotel is supposed to have 3 restaurants, one being a rooftop bar, which is why we booked there- they didn't mention it was closed for renovations. Only one restaurant was open. If you book a suite you do get free breakfast, but there's no coffee in the room. The couch had no blankets or pillows, and when we asked for some they said they don't usually provide comforters- it also had no sheets, so we needed to ask for those and make the bed. Not a huge deal, but for an upscale place seemed a bit odd. Our last evening there our entire bathroom flooded because the shower was clogged. We had maintenance crew working in our room for 45 minutes around 10pm at night. We asked for another room, which they seemed off-put by, but obligated and then wanted to take access to the M lounge (which is breakfast/coffee) away, but ultimately let us keep it. Overall we just weren't happy with the service, the room was just okay for how expensive the place was, and we didn't have the best experience there. We would definitely be looking to book elsewhere next time.

Everything. The location, the extremely long line to check in, the lack of a luxury experience, lack of service quality. This is my last time staying at a Marriott. However I still think the service is better at your budget properties such as Residence Inn.

We picked the right hotel for our first time in New York at Times Square. We have a good view from the 31st floor. Their elevator system is unique and goes fast and smooth. The hotel perks include $30 a day to use in the hotel (we used for dinner and breakfast), free tickets to city attractions depending on the length of your stay, free water on the 8th floor near the concierge, and free Wi-Fi if you are a Marriott Bonvoy member. The staff is friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel. $40 per day "destination fee" tacked on to the room rate. This fee allows you $40 credit daily to use in the bar or restaurant, but expires every day if you don't use it. Rooms clean, large, comfortable.

My family and I reserve to stay 6 days for new year eve . The hotel have great location. The staff is extremely rude . They are unwelcoming. At the front desk Victor and Farida so impolite with customers maybe overwhelmed for too much work but they made us feel bad . We paid a lot money to stay there. Please reconsider if you are planing to stay here .

Great centralized location in Times Square and room prices are reflective of the convenience. The hotel isn't new and the elevators are outdated. The rooms and restaurants have a contemporary design. The M Lounge for Elite members is nice and is limited to member and one guest. A separate key is issued to access room and M Club. If the card is lost, it will not be replaced. The breakfast buffet is the same for elite members which is a good selection. Subway is a few blocks away so getting around is easy. Even on the 33rd floor, you can hear sirens from the street. We could only hear the sirens a few times during our stay so not a concern.

Most 4 stars hotels were rented out to mayor Eric Adams so he could give the red carpet treatment to the110,000 migrants sent there by Governor Greg Abbott, I decided to go for the 1st time to this 5 stars hotel, the beautiful Marriott Marquis. It was not cheap, $600 a night was so outrageous but it's location, location right in Times Square. The room was beautiful n the view was amazing so this review is not about the room but it's about the restaurant. We were given $30 food credit so the breakfast buffet cost $62 but it was really a joke, I was so shocked it was not edible, how dare they charge so much for supermarket or frozen food? The bread was hard n tasteless, the bagel was fr a factory somewhere, the lady next to me made a scene n got a refund, I was still jet lagged from lack of sleep n didn't think of doing so myself, the entire breakfast wasn't worth $20. I'm a globetrotter n my daughter is a VIP with Marriott, the Marriott in every Asian cities the food was amazing, in Chong Qing they had made to order lobster! I didn't expect that but at least edible food, even the coffee was not good. The Marriott Marquis in San Diego I stayed recently was good, they just don't have a lavish buffet like in foreign countries, I don't know why not, the fun of 5,stars hotel is 70% the food imho. I must have complained to the porter coz when I get back fr the cruise I had a message on my phone to call back a manager, she never returned my call, 2 stars for lousy food, customer service n key not working on the elevator, I had to call for help just to get an elevator.

Located on the eigth floor of the hotel, fun spot for after a play. Good food options. Tofu was healthy and good.

At the JFK airport every one was rude and not polite at all so to be honest I did not know what to expect at this hotel. But I can say with 100% honesty this place blew me and my family away! The customer service was so great and every single person we interacted with was polite and very friendly. This hotel is huge and the amount of guests and people coming in and out of this hotel on a daily is massive so it's very impressive that it is able to be managed so well. The accommodations are some of the best we've ever had not just at a Marriott but at a hotel period. The rooms were HUGE, modern, and very clean. The restaurants on site although expensive are very good! And there is no fitness center here. No, they have a full fledged small gym here! And who ever came up with their elevator service needs an award ASAP! It can be confusing at first but once you start using them it all starts to make sense. No you just don't jump on an elevator like other hotels. You pick your floor and it will tell you which elevator to go to. Seriously it's so much more efficient and cuts down on everyone waiting for one elevator. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member but also a Military/Government employee and for the location and room accommodations the price could not be beat. Especially for being right on Times Square. To the hotel management team there bravo and keep up the good work! Highly recommend this place!

M Club: Shining star of the show is breakfast, but don't be fooled. We found, quite to our dismay, that there are many who "sneak" in, with little shame. Pretending to have M key access, they hold out their standard room key at the official entrance, then quick grab the door and follow those in who actually have legitimate access. If that wasn't enough, the breakfast buffet room is wide open. Those even right off the street, walk skillfully through the Revel Restaurant bar, straight into the buffet. No security, free food, free drink. It's a bit like the piranhas feeding frenzy. Not a bad trick. I was flabbergasted how easy it is for them to walk right in. Why do we pay for special access..? The food is great, of course, for those who pay, and for those who cheat.

I stayed at the New York Marriott Marquis during a recent visit to the city. The convention I was attending was held in the hotel. The hotel is very large and busy, coming off of Times Square. The lobby is on the 8th floor and is a busy place that offers many amenities including the front desk, Broadway ticket sales, tour sales, restaurants, bars, a gift shop and plenty of space to sit and converse. The gym as well as the restaurant have beautiful views of Times Square. The elevators were so efficient. After selecting your floor and scanning your room key, it told you which elevator to go to. This made traveling between floors very quick and efficient. My hotel room itself was large and nicely appointed. I was in a standard king room with an adjoining standard double attached. The rooms were extremely clean and modern. Housekeeping was extremely friendly, even insisting on changing our towels and emptying garbage on the days we asked not to have our rooms cleaned. The hotel is within walking distance of tons of theaters, hot dog vendors the subway and is around the corner from Times Square. I had a great experience at the New York Marriott Marquis and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Ok, my turn! My colleague and I stayed here for a conference the 2nd week of July. Let me break this up from time of check-in. *Check in: This part was fine and check-in was fast. I had asked for an adjoining room to my colleague and we got just that. Hotel is nice at first glance, you will see why I say this. I get a card to my room and then notice my mobile key wasn't activated (I had requested that when I checked in previously on the app). I requested it, it got activated, and then my card stopped working. UGH I went to the front desk, they fix my card and now my mobile key stopped working so I just kept the card. *Elevators: Getting an elevator is very different and you use a touchscreen pad. You can also swipe your card so it knows what floor you are on and saves you a step on selecting the elevator. It took my colleague and I a while to get used to this. At one point, there was a person there helping but we already knew how to use them. You select your floor and then you get assigned an elevator letter. You wait and sometimes the elevator is too full, so you must do the selection again. At other times the elevator never came, so we would go and do the selection process again. Very odd experience with these elevators. We ended up catching days that were hot and we were melting in those elevators. For some reason, the card process never worked on the gym floor. I had to do it manually. *Rooms + Housekeeping: The rooms are nice when you walk in, up until you start to inspect. My Room (No housekeeping requested during my stay): -A bunch of hair on my shower wall? CHECK -A booger on a small towel? CHECK -A bathtub that wouldn't stop clogging, leaving me with dirty, ankle high water? CHECK -Housekeeping wanting to come clean my room? CHECK Someone still took the liberty to come in when I left, even though I had my 'Do Not Disturb' sign on my door. My colleague's room (she requested housekeeping during her stay): -Scratched up furniture? CHECK -Molded food left in her refrigerator? CHECK -Her personal stuff being thrown away by housekeeping? CHECK -Dirty towel plus a pile of hair left in the middle of her bathroom floor? CHECK -Her shower leaking water and completely getting her belongings wet? CHECK Housekeeping would come in and it was either, something was thrown out OR they didn't bother taking all her trash. She finally got fed up and placed her DND sign on the door. We were there for 5 nights / 4 days and they never once left any notes saying we declined service and to let them know if we needed something until the last day. *Gym: I'm a gym goer and always go during my travels to try out what the hotel has to offer. The gym lived up to its expectations. Lots of equipment, including free weights and a great view while you're doing some of your workout/cardio. *Food: Eating at the restaurant (on their 8th floor) is good enough. However, if you like to order room service, the food is very much subpar. Here is what I had for room service. The good: -Green salad -Oatmeal -Egg white omelette The bad: -Pancakes (YUCK) -Grilled cheese with bacon (bad) For a hotel such as this, I was expecting the food selection to be larger. Overall, the hotel has potential if it's kept clean and had better food selection. It definitely was NOT worth the cost and we had a large conference, discounted group rate of $255.

Came here for the Annual Easter Egg hunt at Broadway Lounge; Restaurant is located on the 8th floor of the hotel and offered the Easter Brunch buffet with special guest- The Easter bunny. Made reservations prior and was super excited to get a table by the window. The spectacular view of Time Square all the while dining at this restaurant- made the experience that much more incredible. Buffet had all the typical brunch fanfare- I really liked the Shrimp Cocktail tower- Shrimps were really fresh and that cocktail sauce was super tasty. This Lounge has an outdoor Terrance that boast fantastic views of endless NYC skyscrapers and Time Square LED displays. This is a really grand dining experience- price might be a bit steep for brunch buffet; but it's worth it. Staff was also very friendly, and willing to helped take pictures for my fam. Restaurant also offered complimentary family photos with the Easter bunny. Such a lovely time spent during the holiday break

Favorite hotel in Times Square! Close to all the theaters. Clean rooms with spectacular Times Square view. Courteous staff especially Matthew at front desk. Several food options in the building including a Starbucks. The only negative is the stressful system of elevators which forces you to run to your assigned elevator in hopes you can make it in after people slowly exit. This is very hard for people with wheel chairs or mobility scooters. I've missed several elevators because of it. That said, I will definitely be staying here again, year after year, for the excellent quality of the hotel and location.

It was a perfect location with the view of time square. You can step outside and there are so much to do. The room was spacious and clean. I just wished they had more dining option.

Sorry paid over $400 a night for this hotel. I expected a lot more from them. On the last morning when the sun was shining in the room on the bed I found mold in the comforter. The room service was also very bad only to wait 1.5 hour for our food only to get wet sandwich that sat.

This has been the most disappointing Marriott property I've experienced. Since arriving, I've developed a serious breathing issue, likely due to poor air quality and pillows in the room, I noticed another guest saw mold within pillows. i hope not:/ I typically pre-book and pre-pay at Marriott properties, Moreover, the cleaning staff missed several nights and, on the days they did clean, they left trash, dirty items, and didn't replace cups. To top it off, I poured expired milk into my tea. Even using the Marriott messaging app led to a confusing and hostile conversation over the hotel room phone. Additionally, despite checking in with a gentleman who noted my stay from the 1st to the 9th, I had to make separate reservations to use my points, and staff still interrupted us halfway through our stay asking about checkout times. There's a clear lack of organization and communication here. I regret not choosing my first option, the Plaza. The $40 destination fee, already included in my pre-booking, can only be used on food and drink, and it's frustrating that it doesn't cover breakfast at the downstairs coffee shop. I have no idea, maybe if is busy but definitely disappointed. I will add that the bartender staff and the staff at the elite reception were exceptional and the best part of the stay.

One of the best NYC hotels I have stayed in! The room was very big, I asked them to park my car in the garage on site and they obliged they have a garage down the street but you have to give an hour notice when you need it). They handed out cookies while waiting in the check in line and had professional Christmas carolers in the lobby. The pillows were comfy and they leave you a little spritz bottle of lavender to spray on your pillow. The shampoo/conditioner made my hair look great. The bar in the lobby is great for watching sports. We have stayed here several times and I feel like they just keep improving.

Perfectly located in Times Square within a short walk of several Broadway shows and a bunch of restaurants, this is a great option when staying in the city. It's also close to several subway stops, and tour bus stops. Junior's is directly across the street, which is nice as well. The elevator situation is a bit odd since you select your floor and a main screen, which then directs you to the elevator letter to board. At one point, one of the elevators that we took began to malfunction, and instead of stopping on the 44th floor, it went to 39 and then would stop at each floor although the door never opened. We ended up going back down 28, and then it decided to take us to 44 and let us off. It was a bit concerning, to say the least. The room was very comfortable and incredibly spacious for NY standards. We also had a great view of the city. If you've got stuff planned near Times Square or are in town to check out some Broadway shows, I definitely recommend the Marriott Marquis.

Came here for APAC (Audio Publishers Association Conference). Hotel is in a prime location right in front of Times Square, and across the street from the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre where Sweeney Todd is currently playing (and where I got to go see later in the week during my New York trip). It's a very clean, spacious, welcoming hotel. They even served breakfast, lunch, and snacks, with plenty of hot water for tea! I really enjoyed this venue for my very first APAC and conference in New York!

It was an okay hotel. Far cry from the DC Marriott Marquis which to me is in great shape. The front desk was friendly. I was a bit disappointed in the M club. $50 for a 9 year old to use the M club? Really? What a Rip off. I'm also used to the DC one which allows you to bring in more than 1 guest. It's in a prime location but not sure I'd stay here again.

This hotel is very very very busy but situated very close to all the three broadway shows that we had booked. Plus close to the subway line 1 that takes you down to Wall Street, Battery Park (for the Statue Cruises port to go to the Statue of Libery and Ellis Island). Quite expensive but this is New York and you are in walking distance to great restaurants and broadway shows. One annoying feature is that they try to get you to attend the Bonvoy travel program (90 min) if you are Bonvoy member. Didn't really have time during our busy schedule). The restuarant is so so and quite expensive. The buffet was $42 per person and we opted to order ala carte once. The rest of the time, you can get more reasonably priced breakfast food nearby. But the rooms were clean and the upper stairs were quiet.

I was there for three nights in October 2024. It is a little like Las Vegas in NYC. That is to be expected in Times Square. The surprise - and only two stars - is the poor accommodations. Not the room which was spacious for New York and modern bathroom, but it was what was NOT in the room. No functioning coffee pot (you could bring your own k-cups and mug since there is a machine wrapped up on the empty refrigerator. In addition to coffee (caffeine and decaf), most fine hotels offer two complimentary bottles of mineral water (replenished daily) - not here. So they offer nothing in the room than desk, bed, bath. NOTHING. This is solved with a trip to the Duane Reade pharmacy to get bottled water and yogurts for breakfast - then a trip to Starbucks each morning on the ground level (from the 34th floor). This hotel is all facade - like Las Vegas. Even the two restaurants have the same menu - just different physical design. So if you want to recoup some of your $40 forced "hospitality" change, the food is not bad but you have the whole city- why eat there. The hotel is more Marriott Knave, than Marquis.

The stay there was very enjoyable, staff were friendly, food was good (although a bit pricey) however there is one event that occurred that I believe should be used to set more organized receptionists. When I got to this hotel my family and I checked in and got our room key, however when we entered our room we found it was being occupied by someone else. We were compensated, luckily, but this is just something I want to make known to the higher-ups of this building. P.S. View was amazing from our new room

Our stay at the Marriot Marquis has been really swell this visit - (so far, no jinx). The staff are courteous, the bfast is excellent, the cost is worth the location and the services provided. If you ever want to stay in Times Square, I recommend this Hotel. If you want a "safe and friendly" central base to get out to locations on Manhattan - this is the place! 4.5 stars from the O'D's. Would have been 5 if they had a jacuzzi. ;-)
