Miami Restaurant Openings to Know for July 2025 | Eater Miami

"A former farmers-market staple that has opened a brick-and-mortar shop in Coral Springs, known for selling pickles the old-fashioned way from barrels and now offering a wide array of pickles (sour, half sour, garlic, hot, horseradish, kosher dill, and bread-and-butter) as well as sauerkraut, pickled tomatoes, pickled peppers and other preserved goods." - Laine Doss

Google
Location is kinda hard to find. Its next to bagels and more. We got the garlic pickles and a pint of sweet butter pickles for sandwiches. You can get a taste of any of them. Sooooo good! Guy there was so nice! Check it out!

Google
The staff here are incredibly helpful, and there’s such a great variety of flavors to choose from! For fellow pickled cucumber lovers like me, just a heads-up—they’ll be moving to a new location in 2-3 months. I’ve shared the new address for anyone who wants to check it out! 😄

Google
NY Pickles is my family's go-to. They've been serving the community at the festival flea market for years and recently opened the storefront here in Springs. Everyone is always incredibly friendly and the quality is second to none. Can't say enough great stuff about this place. So glad we found them!

Google
Pickle fan? RUN to this place NOW! Friendly staff, fun selection. Try a pineapple soda to wash down the SOUR! HALF-SOUR are PERFECT! .

Google
Great variety of tasty pickles! My favourite is horseradish, and my other half loves the sour pickles. Prices are great, especially for this quality. Pro tip: If you enjoy a Caesar drink 🇨🇦pour some horseradish juice in for added flavor, along with a pickle . Delicious! They are moving in April 2025, and the new address is in the photo below. They will be about 10-15 minutes west of their current location.

Google
Quality, cleanliness, selection and authenticity at NY Pickles&Company. Joe and Cindy work hard every day to ensure their customers come back for more of their old favorites and new favorites! I appreciate that this is a family-owned business run by fellow pickle lovers putting their heart and soul into your experience, and will definitely make this a regular stop when I'm in the area.

If you love pickles, this is the place to go! Super friendly employees and lots of choices….We will be back!

Google
Love this place! Super friendly dude, lets you sample before you buy, and then packs the containers as much as he can. A big selection of pickles, peppers, sauerkraut, and really tasty stuff. Highly recommended!

Yelp
After decades of being a vendor in the Festival, I was excited to go visit them in their new space. Located on Sample, west of University, they are a few stores down from the bagel place, right near the stairs, next door to a t-shirt shop. I left with sour pickles, sweet red peppers and an assortment of Greek and Kalamata olives. The store is immaculate, the prices are still inexpensive and Cynthia is as lovely as ever. I will definitely be back. Nothing feels better than supporting a locally owned and operated business, especially one that has such delicious goodies.

Yelp
If you love pickles this place is not to be missed! Stopped by when I was in the area and was actually really excited when I saw all the barrels of fresh pickles along with a section with different varieties of olives! There were so many different choices it was hard for me to decide which ones to get. The owner was just the nicest and most helpful guy and he offered me and my son samples of their delicious pickles. I ended up buying some horseradish pickles, half sour pickles, sour tomato pickles and some hot (and boy are they hot) pickles. The place was so clean and spotless which is always a huge plus. The prices are so reasonable, you can even buy single pickles for only a dollar. I will definitely be returning there to buy some more of their pickles and to try some of the other flavors.

Yelp
Saw this on Yelp, what a surprise, and decided to go check it out because who doesn't live pickles?!? It's in the back on a strip shopping plaza and they have sings to pint you in their direction. There's also a lot of signs to watch your step because the entry is sloped. Inside is very very clean! The owner and what I presumed to be his son were there helping another customer. I was looking at the variety of pickles they have the prices. You'll pay more than if you grabbed a jar from the grocery store, but these are made there and are really tasty. I opted for horseradish pickles and some pickled green tomatoes to bring to my parents. I got a quart of each and my total was about $20. The owner is very friendly and offers you pickles and other items to try. They also have olives and sauerkraut. I would definitely go back. I want to try all of them, except bread and butter pickles because I can't stand those :)

Yelp
UPDATED REVIEW: In all fairness, I came back here a few days after my initial visit to finally try the pickles and hopefully make a purchase. Well, today's visit just skyrocketed my last dismal two star rating, due to an unforeseen circumstance, to a strong five star rating. An ultra unique experience would be a weak synopsis of what I just encountered. The owner greeted me and was super elated to provide full pickle samples of some of his premium creations. He seemed well-versed in the cryptic pickle community. The sour pickle was the store's top seller and was super juicy with a nice crunch with each bite. The Horseradish Pickle was on another level and earned an instant quart purchase of $10.00, which he removed from the diabolical pickle bin and filled up the container leaving no void right in front of me. The insane taste of the mythical pickles and in addition to the pickle IQ of the owner well superdeded the hidden store front and the error in the operational hours on my last visit. The owner specified that starting August 1st the NEW store hours will be adjusted to be closed on Mondays. So glad I returned to this store and will be back, just not on Mondays.

Yelp
I have been here several times and have made a special trip just to have their pickles. It's hidden in a corner, just near the Bagel shop on West Sample rd. It's a family owned business that was purchased from the owners of New York Pickle from the Festival Flea Market. Today, there was a line of people inside waiting to purchase these pickles. They have barrels of sour, kosher dill, tomato pickles, half sour, sauerkraut, and garlic pickles to name a few. They also have a variety of olives and some drinks. If you ask to try one, they will give you a sample, which is usually a whole pickle. You can't get this crunch and taste from a store bought jar. They pack the pickles into a container and fill it up with brine. There are no tables or chairs, but it doesn't make a difference. You go there to get them, try a few and get going. I highly recommend this business if you love pickles as much as I do!

Yelp
Many of the old Festival Marketplace businesses have been left scrambling to find new places to open at. A favorite that has successfully navigated the transition is the New York Pickle & Company. You can still find them on Sample Rd. but head west to Coral Springs. They are in the same plaza as Bagels and a Whole Lot More but tucked into a corner so you have to really look for them. They also have a location at the Yellow Green Market in Hollywood. New York Pickles & Company has a large variety of pickles to choose from like sour, half sour, garlic, hot, horseradish, and kosher dill. I love the sweet and tangy bread and butter chips which have more flavor than anything you can buy in the supermarket. Fermented foods like pickles are rich in probiotic and cucumbers contain beta carotene which can protect the cells from damage and reduce the risk of some certain kinds of diseases by boosting the immune system. They list all the ingredients right next to the pickle barrels so you know exactly what is in your food. Pickles are sold by the single spear, pint, quart, and half gallon. In addition to pickles they also sell green and red tomatoes, sauerkraut, red and hot cherry peppers, olives, and my beloved Dr. Brown's soda. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Come out and support this local favorite in their new location.

Yelp
What a new hidden gem in Coral Springs for all pickle lovers! I saw them on a WSVN segment and I knew I had to stop by to see it for myself. They have a huge variety of pickles to choose from and the employees are super friendly. You can order by the pickle, or by a specific container size if you'd like more. I decided on a few different pickles to include the half sour, sour and garlic pickles and they were fantastic. Also a very good deal too. Rather than buying pickles from the store, you need to visit New York Pickles and stock up on some fresh ones for your home! I cannot recommend them enough

Yelp
New York Pickle is somewhere that everyone needs to go if you like pickles. The place is wonderful! It originally was located at the festival flea market but made its way over here to Coral Springs and the Yellow-green farmers market. Owned by a husband and wife, I had the pleasure to be helped by the husband on my recent visit here with mine. He gave us a couple samples of the different pickles and they were all delicious! My favorite had to be the half-sour. They had a wonderful crunch to them and a very nice green color. I love that the place is very minimalistic, with a handful of pickle barrels, a giant walk in fridge and the front register. The walls were green and I love that they did that to go along with the pickle color! Prices are pretty reasonable, a pint of pickles and brine being about $10. He makes sure to stuff the container until it looks like its going to explode! Super friendly staff and it makes it all that better because it's small business, reasonable prices and close to where I live will make me come back here to try every type of pickle and olive they have to offer here!

Yelp
My mom and I have this saying. Whenever we are someplace and there is no one in sight, and all of a sudden, people come near us, we say, "What perfume are you wearing?" We could be the only ones on a dessert and the moment people start to appear, we would make this statement. It happened today. No one was in the pickle shop. It was just Max and me. The person behind the counter was very generous about allowing us to try everything. Within a few minutes, the store was crowded. We bought several varieties. Supper friendly, super delicious pickles!

Yelp
If you're into pickles this place is a must! It's very stripped down and simple inside. Just a big counter surrounding the barrels of magic. The pickles are incredibly fresh and flavorful. And, they are happy to provide samples before you buy. Can't say enough about how friendly the staff are. They are more than willing to let you sample whatever you like. My favorite are the hot pickles. Not overly hot, but a nice heat. I sampled the red peppers (sweet and FRESH) and the hot cherry peppers and they are fire! They also sell olives and sauerkraut!!! Will be heading back when I run out!

Yelp
Fascinating first experience at this pickle store. The owner schooled me on many different concoctions of pickles like sour and horseradish, with a few strange ones like a pickled tomato and the red pepper. The bread and butter sweet pickle slices were the most interesting since I never tasted one like that before. Lots of pickle taste testing then bought a quart of the horseradish pickles to eat tonight while watching a movie on Netflix. I highly recommend this pickle experience and the owner is a hardcore pickle enthusiast. It's hard to find but it's next to a bagel restaurant.

Yelp
Pickles pickles pickles! If you like pickles, you need to get here as soon as possible. I've been coming to this place since I was in elementary school and I'll continue to come here for as long as it exists. A one of a kind truly amazing place with phenomenal workers. The owner and his wife run the place and will give you samples of the many different pickles they have here. They have half sour, garlic, non sour and spicy pickles. My favorite has to be the garlic pickles because they have the perfect garlicky flavor and the crunch of the pickle is extraordinary. They sell single pickles if you don't want many and that's awesome because sometimes I'm craving one and need it right away! The pickles have the perfect amount of tartness. They offer a variety of sizes and the prices are pretty decent. The place definitely stuffs as many as they can in a container to the point it's about to pop! The place is super clean and a cute little kiosk located towards the back of the festival flea market. A place you NEED to visit at least once because you'll come back again and again afterwards just like me!

Yelp
I found their location at the Yellow Green Farmer's Market at 3080 Sheridan Street in Hollywood, FL. Joe, their passionate pickle purveyor had me happily walking out with quart containers of their products filled to the rim and beyond. Nice selection of huge barrels of pickles. I've tried horseradish pickles, hot pickles, sour pickles and cherry peppers. Excellent service. Going back soon to expand my tastebuds even more.

Yelp
Get yourself out of a pickle today and get into a pickle lovers paradise! Go see Joe, the owner, at New York Pickles & Co. He will offer you generous samples of the many types of pickles before you buy. This shop is located on West Sample road in Coral Springs and has just opened June of 2025. It is really unique to see the big barrels of different varieties of pickles marinating. It is definitely called a pickle playground for a reason. There were so many types of pickles to choose from that included half sour, garlic, hot, horseradish, bread & butter, kosher dill, and sour. Besides pickles, they offer olives, sauerkraut, hot red peppers plus red & green tomatoes. The prices were very reasonable, like single pickles for $1.00 or 4 for $3.00. Quarts and half gallons are also available for purchase in larger quantities and shipping is offered to other locations. I bought half sour and garlic pickles and they were fresh, crisp and tasty. I definitely recommend and can't wait go back to buy more pickles!!!

Yelp
Difficult to find but worth the search. They'll let you taste before you buy. We bought bread& butter chips, garlic pickles, and sourkraut. Pickles are great and the kraut is about the best I have tasted
google avatar

Kika G.

Yelp
Great pickles. We went to the location inside the Yellow Green Market. Barrels of pickles and even a barrel with pickled tomatoes in it. The woman that assisted is advised us (in her authentic NY accent) that all the pickles came from NY. We loved the flavors.
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
Fresh made dill pickles are only one of many types of pickled delicacies that are sold at this indoor stand inside the Festival Marketplace. The light smell of dill brine and the barrels filled with different flavors of marinating cucumbers and olives was simply delicious. I have always loved to sample before buying, which is usually possible at a farmet market style pickle stand. Their prices are a little higher than what can be purchased in gourmet grocery stores, but the selection is excellent. There were so many choices, and I had a hard time making up my mind, and luckily, they had a few container sizes to buy just what I wanted.
google avatar

Howard L.

Yelp
The pickles are great, good pricing and the owners are very friendly. The hot and bread and butter are perfection!

Yelp
A new staple in our household! The people working in the store were so kind and super informative! The pickles were fresh and full of flavor. Will absolutely be back for more!

Yelp
Great pickles, don't go during shabas..... too crowded, no seats. Used to be in festival flea market. In Coral Springs now. Nice owner, fun

Yelp
I have been going to NY Pickles for well over 20 years. It is a festival flea market staple. We visited today and we were pleasantly surprised to all the changes the new owner has made. 1. The stand is super clean. The pickle barrels are now behind a little wall and the olives are on the wall. 2. They now also sell drinks. They have a nice selection of Dr Brown's soda, some Snapple and the basic coke/sprite. 3. There is a nice little seating area next to the Pickle area 4. After being a cash only business, they now accept credit cards/debit cards. It makes it so much easier. We don't live close by so we make sure to stock up. Today we purchased 3 half gallon containers of sour pickles and 1 quarts of the cherry peppers. We have never been disappointed by the sour pickles and the containers are always packed solid. Service was very good and we appreciated the sample slices of the sour to see what a treat we were taking home. Yes, they are a little pricey, but it's worth it. We can't wait to see what else the new owners have in mind.
google avatar

Yelp
We drive 40 minutes to get these pickles. Have been getting them here for years. Love the half-sour ones. The sour ones are also very good. Prices have gone way up through the years, but they have gone up everywhere. Service is fast and friendly. Its a take out, grab and go.

Ally K.

Yelp
Best pickles ever. They have a great variety and they're all fresh and delicious! The guy working there was also extremely friendly and gave us a free sample before we bought anything. It's located inside an indoor flea market and is the only crowded shop there for a reason.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing pickles and amazing staff, I go get my 1/2 follón every other week. This place is a hidden Gem. Place is super clean as well. I can't wait for other people try these amazing pickles that are shipped from NY. I drive 45 min but it's totally worth the ride.

Yelp
Love the pickles, love the selection, and love the personable couple dolin' them out; they've got gloves and masks on, stayin' safe and hygienic. However, their pricing structure is completely bonkers. I spent $37 for a 1/2 gallon and 2 different quarts, and I was happy to do so, but it would be wayyyyy cheaper to buy the pickles individually on a stick; like, I'm getting charged for buying . . . more? There is no ambiance to dpeak of; they're in the walking lane next to the antiques down near the far east entrance. Anyhow, other than the pricing madness (bucket charge?), I wish 'em well and am glad they're there.

Robert H.

Yelp
I've been searching for half sour pickles high and low and it's like finding the holy grail. No one seems to Carry them and if they do it's a $9 small jar of A famous brand (which are good but....). So someone told me about the pickle shop at festival. Went there today with my daughter. The ladies (and the gent) behind the counter were super nice. And let me try wherever I wanted. Everything was good. We got a gallon of the half-sours. Just amazing. And they offered to pack it up and keep it cold for me while we shopped. We returned about an hour later and licked them up. Very happy with the customer service and the pickles. No more searching. We have a pickle place, now!
google avatar

Rob G.

Yelp
The best there is no better reminds me of Gus's pickles on the lower east side love the staff
google avatar

Brad G.

Yelp
Amazing pickles! I think about them all the time and make special trips to stock up. All my friends try to steal them so I make sure to buy extra. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Whenever I'm at Festival Flea Market I find myself unable to resist stopping by New York Pickle for one of their dills. I'm not sure exactly what makes a New York pickle a New York or what some refer to as a Deli or a Kosher Dill. What I do know is that that these, under the trade name of New York Pickle, are super tasty, super good. It might be that some commercial pickles bearing similar such names are heated in a pasteurizing process, thus destroying the crispness as well as sharp clean taste. Some of my friends have initially thought me crazy when I've asked them to try a pickle with me. That of course is until they've tried one. Then, they're hooked on them too. New York Pickle is just a simple stand with pickles in barrels that they basically just pick out and hand over to you. Though they also offer olives, hot cherry tomatoes, garlic and other varieties of pickles, I stick with the New York Dill; it's a classic.

Yelp
I sadly have to drop this review accordingly. I loved this place and it was our trademark to stop here for fresh olives and pickles after tradewinds park, however I won't be back anytime soon. It breaks my heart to do this to a mom & pop shop and I'll gladly remove this once it's been properly taken care of. Our house recently had minor drywall construction in part of 1 room, and trust me the entire house was covered in an unhealthy amount of dust. This mall has had construction (Saws cutting plywood) for many months, and that's only 100 to 200ft away with no barrier between it. None of the products here are sealed. Olives are in open containers, and the pickles have chicken-wire mesh fence on top that keeps large items like quarters from falling in only. To verify my concern, I walked to an empty kiosk next to NY pickle (Even further from the construction). I wiped my finger on the table and sure enough it had a 1mm+ layer of dust on it. Sadly my OCD wont allow me to come back anytime soon. unless I hear or see that this problem has been fixed.

Yelp
I'm not going to wax poetic with memories of pickles on the lower eastside. (See "Crossing Delancey" if you haven't.) You can buy one pickle for seventy five cents, two for $1.25 or a container in varying sizes. My sour pickle -- provided on a stick, no less -- was crunchy and delish, albeit kinda small. My original choice (half sour) was a disappointment. Inadequately brined, it was merely a cucumber. My friend opted for horse radish pickles, which she said had bite. I chatted with a New Jersey-ite who came with a cooler, intent on bringing a sizeable batch home. I have to remember that for the next time.

Dee H.

Yelp
The pickles are decent, but their pricing makes no sense. First of all, they raised their prices significantly from the photo another reviewer posted a few weeks ago. Half sours are .75 each or $17.50 per 1/2 gallon. I ordered a 1/2 gallon and there were 16 pickles in it. Do the math, that comes to $1 per pickle. If I purchased individually, it would have been $12 instead of $17.50. That is one expensive plastic container! I decided that I can't patronize people who rip off their best customers who are buying in bulk so no more trips to NY Pickle for me.

Neal M.

Yelp
Great pickled products, and very nice staff

Fkdksks D.

Yelp
They disrespected me and been mean to me this place should learn to have manners they also need to start being nice
google avatar

Gary F.

Yelp
This is one of the few places you can get NY pickles . We always get sour. They are so good. They also have: hot, half sour, garlic, horse radish, and big dill pickles. As for other things sour tomatoes, hot cherry peppers, sourkraut, and assorted olives.
google avatar

Casey G.

Yelp
we have been eating these pickles for years. we love them. we only hope they never close. these are as good as any pickle i had growing up in nyc. the owner is always pleasant. i guess if you are pleasant to others they will also be pleasant to you. there is no other store that sells pickles that compare. keep those pickles coming..
google avatar

eileen s.

Yelp
Highly over priced! I pay half the amount at Doris's Market for pickles in containers just like at New York Pickles. Not very friendly either.
google avatar

Tara A.

Yelp
The real name I believe is New York Pickle, but that doesn't matter... This place is delicious! Located in the Festival Flea Market Mall, NY Pickle has been there for at least 15 years... At least! They have to be doing something right! I remember coming here as a kid with my parents to get their giant dill pickles. Now I come with kids of my own to pass down the tradition! The workers are always friendly and willing to give free samples out of the giant bins. They have a great assortment of pickles and olives so you are sure to find a favorite. Our favorites are the sour and dill pickles! I keep meaning to try the hots... But I'm not worried because we will definitely be back! NY pickle is cash only, but there is an ATM nearby if you don't have any on you. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
These are the pickles I remember growing up as a kid in New York. A salty and often spicy brine completely infused in the cucumber and every bite is an explosion in your mouth. They've got the classics of sour and garlic as well as my new favorites: spicy and horseradish. Sauerkraut and pickled tomatoes are also available. What I like here is you can buy just a pickle on a stick, but when you order a larger quality they are sure to double bag it so nothing leaks. Alas I can't easily take the brine on the plane when I visit, but for locals save the brine because it's darn tasty in a bloody mary!
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
I converted my friend into loving pickles after introducing him to your pickles!!. I hadn't been to this Flea Market since the '90s. My childhood recollection was the pickle stand and I am so glad they are still around! Your pickles are amaZing!
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
So. I went to festival flea market to go specifically to New York pickles I ordered a gallon of sour pickles and asked the gentleman,to fill each.container with juice as I enjoy drinking the juice gentleman explained I would die if that Frank that juice, I got home and tasted a pickle now being from NYC myself I grew up on pickles down Essex st and I'm friends with The Pickle Guys. Located there I tasted a chemical taste not a sour taste ,pickle tasted. Funny, then I started thinking the gentlman at NY pickles said I would dieI if I drank the brine n now tasting the pickle I figured if the brine would kill,me,and, these chemical tasting nasty pickles why wouldn't I did from eating the pickles as well, 26$ down the drain I'm throwing them out. Don't taste right and they should be ashamed to call themselves NY pickles they know nothing about pickles !!!!

Sean S.

Yelp
love this place... almost try to make this a regular stop every 3-4 weeks to pick some up for the house... (sometimes I forget they're cash only but there is an ATM next to them and that's my fault no theirs). They're always friendly, the quality is always good and when I feel adventurous from my usual half sours and garlic pickles they're happy to give a sample!
