To be honest, every single bite of the meal was excellent. The snails, for example, truly amazed us and we’re used to eating them back home in Spain! The Caesar salad was fantastic, and we loved that they prepare the dressing right in front of you. The steak tartare was also really good.
However, we did have an issue with the main part of the dinner: the Porterhouse Steak made with Australian Wagyu. The problem is that if a piece of meat is frozen and shown to the customer straight from the fridge, it’s impossible to cook it rare and have it come out hot in less than three to four hours. So, what we received about 45 minutes after finishing our starters was more like a “stewed” Porterhouse, covered with too much pepper. We ended up leaving part of it, which was disappointing especially because the service, atmosphere, and every other detail were absolutely perfect. The team paid such great attention to detail.
My suggestion would be to only serve fresh meat or to ask customers to pre-order their steak in advance if it needs to be defrosted. That way, there’s enough time to prepare it properly without stewing it.
Because of that, I can’t give five stars but we’re all here to learn, and I’m sure they’ll keep improving! Thank you very much.
