Great food and the lady was very nice

The food was awful. We got eggs / omelet and they tasted so fake. The potatoes were gross and too greasy and the coffee was the worst we’ve ever had. Never coming back. Even makes us dislike montillios. Also the ambiance/ setting was awful. Our table was dirty where they sat us and we had to clean it ourselves. The music in the background was terrible and made us want to leave as soon as we stepped foot inside.

This is my kind of place. I'm new to Weymouth and have been trying different breakfast places, and so far, this is my favorite. Why? 1. The Staff and the Vibe - customers and waitstaff are good to one another with a healthy dose of sarcasm and teasing, which I love. 2. The Menu - they've got a solid variety, including some somewhat unique items, like the Buffalo Chicken Omelette, and a variety of Benedicts. They also have the basics that appeal to the guy who sat next to me and had two eggs fried hard, toast, and crispy bacon. 3. Prices - reasonable for what you get. I had a Veggie Skillet with two eggs over easy, grilled English muffins, and about four cups of coffee. $11, and I ate about half. The staff knew it was my first time there and as I left, they encouraged me to come back. Thing is, they also did that just by being themselves while I was there.

I got a Greek salad with grilled Chicken delivered today. It took over an hour for the delivery. The what is in a salad was all white. And they use iceberg lettuce when a Greek salad calls for romaine. And it was not good I would like to give no stars but

Excellent meals, service is great and staff friendly. Prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend.

I hate to do negative reviews but this was horrible. Pancake had no color to them. Coffee was hardly warm. The “home made hash” was like salty deli corned beef chopped up. Food and plates were cold; hospital cafeteria food is better. I expected better given the reputation of Montilios that Newcomb’s shares a space with. We wished we went to ihop across the parking lot the whole time.

Found this place by accident but so glad I did. Best place ever. You just gotta try it.

this place stinks first of all it’s not clean enough and they’re so busy with their takeout orders that we’ve had to wait 25 minutes for a breakfast pizza because she didn’t see the damn slip because they’re too damn busy with takeout orders. They’re not even paying attention to the people that come into the restaurant to order food, this is unacceptable. they were unapologetic and really didn’t seem to care much. Won’t be coming back here. Would give zero stars if I could.

We were excited to try some place new but we did not like the food. The cheese in the New England skillet was not very good, it didn't add anything. The restaurant is easy to get to, has a lot of parking. The wait staff were fine and there is a montilios counter, but never of us liked our breakfast.

Looking for a place to grab some breakfast on our visit to Braintree. This place looked cute and had decent reviews. It is attached to a bakery and nobody greeted us or pointed us to the right area for the restaurant. We stood there quite awhile trying to figure out do we just seat ourselves is someone coming. A gentleman came in and he was greeted and helped right away. I finally asked how the restaurant part works and she told me to just find a table. We sat and our server was friendly. Our food came quickly and was delicious. My mom made a purchase in the bakery and she had to ask for help as again no greeting or asking what can they get for us. Prices were good but a little off put by the initial service.

Came here for some breakfast, and noticed they are attached to a bakery called Montillos which sells pastry. The place was not packed and it took a little bit for our food to come which had me a little worried but it was worth the wait I had the Meatlovers skillet and my wife had the sausage biscuits and gravy and both were delicious! Both were flavorful, we will come back to try their wood fired pizzas and other dishes.

My experience is based off of the service and interaction of the women behind the counter at Newcomb's cafe. I came here to pick up an uber eats order for myself with My own money. I walk into the restaurant area, I'm not greeted, smiled at, nothing. My food wasn't in the pick up area so I take a seat in the seating area, still not greeted asked if i could be helped or anything. 5 minutes later, in comes in a small group of 3 elder women; the cashier is delighted to see them from across the bakery at the main door waving, smiling and greeting them. Still Never greets me, but walks over to me asking that i get up from the seat that i'm sitting in because the ladies who sat themselves down at a separate table need my table. I politely said no. I was told because they are paying customers they deserve to sit where i was. I said no again, i was not greeted checked in with NOTHING....But you want me to sit at a table next to a stranger that was waiting for his order, or did you assume i was with him because we were both black? The lady at the front counter then went and told some older gentleman in a black fleece that i won't move and the regular paying customers should have the table they usually sit at, he came to approach me and asked me to move again. Once again, no. i told him i would just like my order so i can be on my way. I'm quietly sitting and waiting to be greeted, NOT BOTHERING ANYONE! The man left me alone, here comes the woman again, saying she doesn't understand why i can't move, so i asked her why didn't she greet me like she greeted the group of elderly women . she said she didn't know what i wanted, had you greeted me you would have known. & i would of had no issue moving for the ladies to be seated. New money can always become regular money, but i will not be returning to this location again. Very problematic over a vacant seat, when you couldn't greet me upon arrival nor check in with me to see what i need. My first and last time going into Newcomb of Braintree, MA HOW EMBARRASSING!

I ordered from here on DoorDash thinking it was the Newcomb's Farms in Milton. I was unsure how the Banana Bread French Toast would turn out and I didnt like it at all. I had 2 bites and threw it away. Waste of money. The Smoked turkey w/avocado and cheese omelet was good. Wouldn't order from again.

Great little place with good food, atmosphere, and service. My sandwich was wonderful and the mini cupcakes were amazing. I will be back next time I visit Braintree.

Service is excellent and staff friendly. As far as the food the quality and quantity are the best. Can be very busy at times.

My husband And I found Newcomb's on Yelp. It was an amazing breakfast. The diner is small, quaint neighborhood restaurant. Our server was Erin and she was so friendly and kept the coffee hot and the cups full.. The menu is very impressive. Such an array of options of omelets, pancakes, French Toast. i has Crunchy French Toast with bacon for $7.95. I loved the crunch of the French Toast. My husband had lobster Benedict and he's still talking about it hours later. It was 3 eggs over an English muffin and loaded with fresh lobster for $15.99. He felt the price was excellent for the quantity and quality of his meal. ( they also had lobster omelets which looked so good too!) I highly recommend Newcomb's and look forward to a return this week.

Ehhhh. This place is maybe (huge maybe) average at best and even saying that is very generous. This is one of those places you come across every once in a while that has odd-shaped food. Everything is either a square or circle - which is just personally a big turn off for me as it feels very unnatural and not like actual food. I ordered the New England Skillet which is home fries topped with bacon, ham, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomatoes, cheese, eggs and toast. I always appreciate a good skillet as it is a little bit of everything but I could not get over the circular sausage and cubed everything else. Makes it look like everything came out of a can. Not to mention the orange potato cubes/home fries - a big no-no in my book. Overall the food isn't THAT bad but I just can't recommend it as it's not something I would normally eat.

My bagel was hot and tasty. The service was fast. The restaurant was closing soon so relatively quiet. The place was clean. Everyone was friendly.

Small place. This place is missing the cozy feel that the Milton and quincy location has. I think the best thing was that there was no wait at 11am on a Sunday. Where everywhere we called had a wait. Walked in. Kinda awkward feel as not sure if we should seat ourselves or wait. We waited and no one greeted us. There were a lot of empty tables but were all dirty. Then the people came after us juSt sat. So we sat too. Food were good which is expected. I go to the quincy location often and loves it! I got the lobster egg benedict. It was not bad at all but the lobster were on the salty side and just didn't go well with the rest of the plating. I will stick to classic next time. SO got classic New England breakfast and he likes it. Food quality is not bad. And pricing is very fair. I think the place just needs signed if have a host or be more organized so when guest comes in. We aren't lost with what to do. I think we will only come back if convenient or everywhere is packed. I think I will stick to driving to quincy location but SO always wants breakfast and he wants it now! So we try to stick to what's close to us.

Returned today for another good experience. Had the New England Omelette which has just about everything in it and was delicious. Took half home with me because it was so filling. While there, I was surprised by how much business they do through GrubHub and Uber Eats. Waitstaff was again personable and patient. So go already.

I love newcombs. This was a wonderful addition to Braintree Montilio's. Julie is absolutely wonderful, extremely attentive and brings a wonderful smile to this business. They are lucky to have her. I love coming in here to visit and get great food that's always great.

Great friendly service. Simple breakfast like how you crave for it at times. Hit the spot coming off nightshift. Know they have a lot of tempting deliciousness. No, I wasn't craving for something sweet so didn't get to try but the girl serving me breakfast said they have really good velvet cake and lemon squares. They have stuff ready to go the the busy professional.

How is the best New York style pizza in town inside a bakery?? BHOP is a great Greek style but in the year that I worked in Braintree, I haven't found a better slice of NY pizza. The fact that I can get a cookie the size of my entire hand while I'm here doesn't hurt either. Friendly staff, good food, great prices - doesn't get any better than this. Well, it might when I make myself try something other than the pizza but it's sooo good!

LOVE THIS PLACE! When is the last time you had a sausage egg and cheese that didn't look like it came from a laboratory? The round puck with the semi-real center. Real food here. Really good. .

I proceed to sit myself down at one of the tables. However, the table was filthy! So, I looked around and saw that they were all filthy! The waitress was just standing around talking to her co- workers. I asked her to clean the table . So, she did so with an attitude! I then left the restaurant! I am never going back to this Newcomb Farms which is located in Braintree,Mass .

We've had takeout breakfast from here several times now. The skillets are a solid choice. I've had a few - the vegetarian, a meat-centric one and the one with the corned beef hash. The portion is good and it's perfect cheesy, carby goodness. And when I say cheesy, it's that melty, gooey, possibly cheese from a can (or maybe not) and it's PERFECT in this dish (so says someone who would usually run the other way from an establishment serving such a thing.) My only complaint? They don't deliver. I kid. Never dined in but my folks have and said the counter staff are friendly but busy and food comes out before you can even finish adding your cream to your coffee. This has certainly replaced an old neighbor for us who, in our opinion, has gone down the tubes in quality and moreso, customer attention.

This place is literally amazing. Total hole in the wall but the breakfast was beyond fantastic. I had the banana French toast eggs, my friend had the New England skillet, we had bacon and home fries! Everything was wicked good. Great prices, great location, great food

Good food. We went for breakfast and we were one of two tables in the joint. Waitress was very friendly and quick. It says it's the original home of the skillet, not sure if I believe that but my skillet was AWESOME. It was a lot of food. We couldn't finish it all but well worth the price. If you're in the area stop by for breakfast.

Got the skillet breakfast and it was amazing!! Props to the cook! The waitress didn't come over at all during our meal which was disappointing because it was hot out and I had no drink to have with my food as I finished my first before the food came out. Other than that it was a great experience! Will for sure be going back and recommending to my friends and family.

Quintessential New England breakfast atmosphere - food is great but service is exceptional - my favorite waitress is Patty and she was born on St Patrick's day!

Called to place an order for pick up was asked to hold. The woman put the phone down without even putting me on hold so I can hear the staff shooting the shit having personal conversations in the background while I'm on hold waiting to place an order...

This is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch places. The food is fabulous especially the waffles. The wait staff are exceptional. If you have not been there give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

They used to have the best lobster eggs Benedict! It wasn't a place of looks but the food and people were the stars! Hope they come back!

We visited May 11th 2014. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Good presentation. Owner came to check on our experience towards the end. We recommend this restaurant for value, service, friendliness and a welcoming atmosphere.

Great little restaurant. My girlfriend and I are new to the area and had to decide which restaurant to try since it neighbors another place. Although we haven't been to the other restaraunt yet, we feel we made the right choice this time. Super tasty food with decent service!

I was skeptical about this place, being that the other breakfast place next door to them seemed more packed, and popular. But this breakfast spot is actually pretty good! Great food, great service I really have no complaints. There weren't a lot of people there but I took a chance and was not disappointed I will be back!

Don't waste your money. This place has terrible service, cold gross food and its filthy inside. Parking is terrible. Spend your money elsewhere.

My first and last rime at this business/establishment. When I called to place an order, the woman sounded very abrupt and was short, didn't even bother asking the name for the order and hung up amid me asking a question. I am someone who usually follows their gut instinct and learned why I should not ignore it. When I arrived to pick up my order the lady I believe her name was Julie was extremely rude! I understand prices have increased dramatically, however, for some items it's just preposterous. Prior to paying I inquire if I could return the overpriced small bottle of juice, after all the same is less expensive at my work, Julie's response in a rude dismissive was "I do t know what to tell you! That's the price." and proceed to walk away. I could have insisted on not paying for an item I thought was overpriced since I buy for less everywhere else, but I chose to let I go, payed and walked away. The food was aligned with service; it was cold and the potato tasted old/stale and had no flavor, two bites and I felt sick, the only thing decent was the overpriced small bottle of juice. I understand we all have bad days and many of us are under pressure due to the times we've experienced and still are experiencing collectively, however, if you feel that you are unable to treat others with respect, please stay home.

The food was delicious and a good price. We got the banana bread French toast which you can tell is homemade and it was yummy. We also got the breakfast skillet which came with toast, eggs home fries, covered in cheese and I chose bacon for my side. It was served in a skillet and it was bomb. The hospitality of the place was very welcoming and homey. We will definitely be back!!

Food was good. Service was good. Why the 2-star ding? One of the counter workers walked by us twice to use the back door to have a cigarette, the second time exhaling smoke right over us as she came back in. It literally put a bad taste in our mouths.

A great hole in the wall! We got a late start for going out to breakfast and most places had a long wait. We drove around and found this place and decided to give it a shot since we were so hungry. This place did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious food. I got pancakes but I couldn't help dig my fork into my friends breakfast skillet. Home Fries, bacon, and eggs covered in a blanket of cheese and it came with a side of toast. SO good. Definitely recommend this place- you have to try the skillet.

By far has the best breakfast in MA. Everything is wonderful. I had ordered from door dash and purchased the delicious, juicy, flavored steak tips and eggs. The crunchy French toast are to die for. I suggest you deff dine in.

We love coming here. The food is always homemade, fresh and fast to come out. The prices are affordable and the waitresses are always welcoming & pleasant. They also have lobster Benedict's & lobster omelette's which are totally my am jam! The coffee is nice and hot, there is usually never a wait and the food is delish. Every time I've gone to Newcombs the food and service have both been great. However, this afternoon my friends and I had a horrible experience with the server. She was extremely rude and short with us. It was unprofessional and unacceptable. While the food was still great as always, we all left upset with the experience we had had.

Service is pitiful. When I finally got my food it was cold and the "poached" eggs with my eggs benedict were more like hard boiled even though I specifically asked they be lightly poached. I have tried this place about 5 times now because it's so close and they have yet to get an order right.

Have been to Newcombs for a meal a few times since my original review. My original impressions are now solidified - the food was very good, and the service was even better. Prices are reasonable and I felt the portion size was a value for the price. Although I don't live nearby any longer, I'll be back to Newcombs when I visit family in the area.

We go almost every Sunday for breakfast it is so good. We love the skillets. It is a tiny place, get there early. The waitstaff is always nice. The cook checks in to make sure everything was perfect.

We are traveling from out of State and decided to try this instead if Nico's down the street, even though there were bad reviews. Waitress was very efficient and there was no waiting for breakfast. I had scrambled Eggs and an English muffin. My husband had eggs medium and ham. Everything was excellent.

The pancakes were not good (kind of corn mealy) but my boyfriends bacon egg and cheese sandwich was really good. The service was also really friendly. I would try them again.

I sell lobster to Rick and as a recommendation, I often come back to pay for the lobster I sold. (I figure I get it at a discount.) The breakfast offerings are creative--lobster eggs benedict.. and some great skillet creations. He stays open on Friday night and the meals I've had there have been excellent. His lobster rolls I KNOW are fresh not frozen--none of the mush McDonalds serves.

Love Newcomb's! Go almost every weekend and never have had a bad meal! The staff is friendly and always in a good mood especially Deb! My family and I just love her! Highly recommend

Newcomb's breakfast hits the spot every time and there are always interesting specials on the board. Food, service, and the coffee is great here.

Food is always good and hot here. Owner always asks "how was your food?". The only reason I gave four stars is because I was not impressed with this latest waitress. She doesn't believe in giving people their change and rounds the bill up. I had another cook that day as well. The food wasn't as good as the owner, but very close. I will go back, but I have to remember to ask for my change. I am usually a very good tipper also, but when you start to get shady like this, i do reflect this in my tip and only gave two bucks. I am usually a three/four dollar tipper on a 7-10 dollar breakfast.

I would recommend Newcomb's to anyone. They have a great breakfast/lunch menu. Family and casual dining. Sometimes they do have a tendency to rush you with the check.

This place has changed hands many times and the food isnt really bad but service is horrible. Understaffed and inexperienced. I go back from time to time but it doesnt get much better on the service end. Owner might be the problem.
