This Newk's location was my choice for lunch on this day. I went in and picked up my Simply Salad w/Salmon to go because I had a scheduled conference call at 12:30. Online ordering gives you the option of choosing a pickup time or ASAP 10 minutes. I chose the 10-minute option.
Upon arriving, I checked to see if my order was waiting, and it wasn't ready. I stood there for about 5 minutes before anyone came over to assist me. Once the manager came over, he told me that they were cooking my salmon, and it shouldn't take too much longer. After standing and waiting for another 3 minutes, another manager John came over, and I explained what the manager before him told me.
Finally, after waiting for a total of 15 minutes, my lunch arrived, and I was on my way. When I got back to work, I looked at my salad, and the lettuce wilted, and carrots looked dry as if they had been sitting out for days. I called and spoke with the manager John, and he immediately replaced my salad and credited back my account.
I enjoy eating at Newk's, but this was not the first time, I've ordered a salad, and the lettuce was wilted and brown. But they never fail to make it right. My only suggestion is to be sure to check your to-go order before leaving.
