Great ciders! The Starling is so interesting. A bit cold inside the tasting room so bring a jacket, but otherwise great vibe. Check it out! 🍺

Google
Newtopia has the best cider in San Diego by a long shot! They have ruined me for other ciders, as no competitors can equal the wonderful variety and intense strength of flavor. You can taste every ingredient advertised for each cider. If it says it tastes like strawberries and champagne, you can be sure it does! I also find the employees to be friendly and efficient! Sometimes I feel like there should be one more person pouring cider on busy weekends, but I never have to wait very long. Newtopia also has a wide variety of events, including a Farmer's Market on Thursdays, and it's also board game and card game friendly.

Google
So, the apple cider was good, I defaulted to this because the employee did not seem to want to make any recommendations or help with choices. This was our first visit, as we visited the farmers market for the first time. The employee was not super friendly. I guess I was assuming with someone mentioning they were a first time visitor, here for the farmers market, there might be a more welcoming conversation and maybe asking questions to see what we might like. I think since the farmers market is here, Newtopia might choose their BEST team member to represent them, because we were not encouraged to come back.

Google
Perfect little speakeasy! The entrance is hidden behind a bookcase (yes, really), and inside it’s like stepping into another world. Dark wood, leather chairs, soft jazz playing — very atmospheric. The cocktail menu is small but carefully crafted. I had a smoky mezcal drink that was totally unique. Not a place for big crowds, but ideal for a quiet, stylish night out. Felt like a secret spot you want to keep to yourself.

Google
It’s a brewery with a bar. Pretty basic setup with a patio. The only bad part is couches in a corner that they act like is a table, very slouchy. Food is a rotating food truck outside, so selection minimal and quality variable. The mexican truck is pretty good, but the pizza truck is bland carbs. For bar trivia night it’s crowded and reservation only, but otherwise very low key.

Google
Lots of delicious cyders available on tap and to go, their sample tray is great to try out flavors. Bear in mind alot of flavors are seasonal and some temporary so do not expect to have them there all the time. Pleasant atmosphere too.

Google
Delicious variety of hard ciders. The Fiesta Watermelon was my favorite. Other non alcoholic drinks are available. Somedays there is a good truck available, but most days the only other food they carry is individually wrapped chips and salsa. Lots of table games and lawn games available. Staff are friendly. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Be careful with the tables inside, the move easily even when wheels are locked.Dogs are welcome. And there was a paint and sip class on Mondays. There is plenty of parking.

Google
Excellent experience. We learned about Newtopia at the Reno Big little beerfest last year. So when we planned a trip to San Diego we had to make a trip here. Newtopia had a large selection of drinks ranging all over the spectrum. We enjoyed our time and our drinks. Everyone was able to find something they liked.

Yelp
alexandria is amazing!! such a welcoming experience and she provided such amazing service and let us try some of the popular flavors! overall 10/10 would recommend! the drinks are amazing!!!

Yelp
I had booked a table for 10 people online as I had called TWICE to make sure they were open May 4th at 4pm earlier in the week (their hours changed/inconsistent). I had people showing up and it was still locked closed, no lights on, no one around at 4. Customers were coming, my friends were waiting in the drizzle rain for 30 minutes. Called, no answer and decided to go to another bar at 4:30pm. People were still coming hoping it would be open. Disappointed as they didn't have a sign up and I was scrambling to make other arrangements (people were coming from 20 minutes away). Called later/friend checked around 6:30pm and it was still closed.

Yelp
We tried a Newtopia cider at a bottle shop in Orange County and have been dying to stop by ever since! We came in on a Saturday afternoon. Just a few others when we walked in, but it certainly began picking up by the time we left. Our bartender was so kind and offered us samples of anything we thought looked yummy. We couldn't decide, so we opted for a flight of POG, Backstreet Blues, Bludacris, and Mondego Slay mixed with Sandiahz (bartender rec). Our favorite hands down was the Backstreet Blues! A little on the sweet side, and the "windex" color made it silly and fun. Runner up for me had to be the Bludacris (which we got some cans of to take home), while my partner enjoyed the watermelon Mondego Slay/Sandiahz. There is seating indoors and outdoors. We opted to enjoy our flight outdoors to pair with the great weather. We got cans of Bludacris and Isle of Sin to go. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
2nd time there- what brought me in was hoping they had their Ice Creambrule back on tap. No such luck but their Venom was good.

Yelp
This was my second time at Newtopia and each time have had a good time. It's a nice space with both indoor and outdoor seating and a dedicated parking lot. Kids and dogs are allowed (the front outdoor area is a great spot) and there are some board games you can play. The bartenders are also very friendly and service was quick. Their menu is pretty diverse with different flavor profiles and also included some cocktails. One thing I was hoping for was the Filipino food tent they had the last time but looks like you could order pizza from another business. This time I ordered the POG and Montego Slay which were fruit forward and tasted like juice, but be careful it sneaks up on you! I will definitely return when I'm in the area next!

Yelp
They have an awesome rotation of ciders, from sweet to very dry, fruit-forward to spiced. Definitely appeals to a wide range of taste buds. They also have a few cocktails. No food other than the option to order in, so good to bring your own. They put the baseball game on a giant projector, good spot for games days.

Yelp
Nice and relaxing place to enjoy a round of ciders. They currently have a summer special deal where flights are $4 off (normally $13 for 4 samples). Their ciders, in my humble opinion are on the sweeter side (which I'm not big on) but very tasty and vibrant in aroma/fragrance. My favorites there are the Chai Me a River and Firsta Charmarindo. Very friendly staff. Lots of space for kids and dogs to hang out.
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
Ample seating, chill vibes, wide variety of cider drinks. Easy go-to brewery-esque spot. Drinks are a bit sweeter than preferred for cider, but would come back again! :)

Yelp
Newtopia Cyder is a cool place to be. Hang out, lounge, and have some deliciousness all in a welcoming atmosphere. I stopped in to check it out for the first time a few nights ago and was not disappointed at all. Located on Caroll Canyon Road, you can't miss it in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego. While they do not currently offer any food, you are welcome to bring in grub from outside and enjoy it here. I believe they have food trucks on certainly nights. There's a bar area as well as some high-top tables and some comfy couches in one corner to just chill with friends. They also offer some casual seating options outside. You can ask to sample whatever they have on tap. Thanks to the gentleman working that night (I didn'tcatch his name =( ), I was able to taste before I bought my 4-pack. Not bad at $15 for 4 cans, and you can mix and match. So far, I've tried the S.O.S. and the Pom Pom Punch. S.O.S. is definitely sweeter, but I like them both. I'm gonna have to go back to pick up more! Stop in if you get a chance. It's right off the 15 freeway, so it's a good spot to relax before fighting that traffic madness! Lol

Yelp
apple soiree is my favorite of the ciders (highly recommend if you like them sweeter) i love the musical bingo on fridays!!

Yelp
LOVE this cider place. My favorite is chai me a river! (Not much of an apple flavor person, which chai has some apple notes) however it's subtle, and taste AMAZING. Newtopia always has a variety of ciders, they do change up flavors as well, so getting a flight is the best way to go until you find your favorites. The employees are super nice, and will let you sample a few when asked. Cool patio to bring your pup, and you can bring your own food. Also, inside has a lounge area with games!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious cider : ) Very nice in there, good place to hang out. It seems they also have a little food from close by businesses like pizza, chips and salsa, and some kind of slush that looked good.
google avatar

Maya H.

Yelp
I'm addicted to the creme brulee!! Please message me when you make more My 2nd favorite is apple soirees. I come by during the farmer market on Thursday. As I enjoy some food with the delicious cider. Service is AMAZING!! They are so nice and describe the many ciders that they have. The place is really chill, and there's some games. There's sitting indoors and outdoors. If you like a good cider, I would definitely check this place out!! You won't regret it! Sooo good!!

Yelp
If you like hard cider or just regular cider, I recommend stopping by Newtopia Cyder. The place is spacious and very nicely decorated! They have lots of high top tables, sofas, and games so you can hang out with friends and have a fun social hour. They have a large selection of hard ciders on tap. I tried a few and they were all good. The non alcoholic cider was really amazing too! Probably one of the best ciders I've had in a long time! It has a very nice crisp taste. Stop by and grab a glass, your palate will thank you! There are lots of free parking spaces in a private lot, so bring the whole gang!

Yelp
Laid back ambiance during the weekend. We brought our dog and sat outside. I appreciated the bartender recommending various ciders to taste. We be back!

Yelp
The bludacris drink here is my jam. Bring a jacket as this place even inside gets chilly. Great locals spot. Saw an events board of various things going on here. They have food on certain days and it looks like they deliver pizza here from Leucadia pizza.

Jaden G.

Yelp
My favorite place to come on a chill Friday for some musical Bingo! The ambiance is so chill and they have nice good vibes. Bludacris was my favorite drink with a nice fruity blueberry blend. Christina is a great host so funny and positive. Rudy is very helpful in terms of cider tasting and made us feel very welcome. Thanks Newtopia!

Yelp
I thought I had all of the San Diego cideries and breweries bookmarked on my "to try" list but apparently Newtopia Cyder slipped passed me so I am glad I found out about it. We just had one cider from here and it was pretty good. We had the Chai Me A River . I love, love Chai Tea and if there were as many Chai creators as there are breweries I would be in quite a dilemma as to what prioritize first. With this Chai I did not pick up the complexity that you get with a Chai Tea when it comes to flavor. There is a lot more to it than just cinnamon bit that was the primary flavor along with apple for this cider. I think there was supposed to be a black tea flavor too but all I really tasted was the cinnamon and apple so it was more like a cinnamon apple cider. I have had Chai ciders before and usually get the gist of a Chai mix in the flavor but not quite here. Not to completely tear this cider apart. It was enjoyable and I liked it well enough but I may have attached too much expectation going off of the name and how it tasted.

Yelp
Awesome selection of cyder! P.O.G. is great! Plenty of bar space, couches and tables available, along with games, etc. Come on Thursday afternoons if you like farmers market ...right outside (or avoid if you don't like crowds, as parking will be more difficult. ) If you do decide to come, don't forget to order the pancit from the cutest couple right in the front!

Yelp
Excellent cider brewery with plenty of fascinating flavor combinations and great, accommodating staff helped to make our evening at Newtopia a great one. Situated in an industrial park part of SD, Newtopia itself has a moderately sized parking space allocation; the times we've been to both drink there and get something to go have been pretty straightforward to find parking. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating space. The staff manning the fort were generally pretty great in helping us pick out ciders when we weren't really sure what to go for. They even brought out my friend a water bowl for her dog! Points for going above and beyond, that's for sure. Though not everything we tried was an absolute hit, it was nice to give those unusual flavors a shot (like Amethyst Airwaves and Blue Dream). The Horchata was lovely as always and was actually the first one we tried that got aware of Newtopia in the first place! POG was quite the sour hit, which my brother favored much more than I did.
google avatar

Jayson M.

Yelp
I think it's awesome that this place has a consistent drink menu with a combo of new and old cider flavors. Recently went in and they've added cocktails! Granted they're not made with any said liquors, the servers informed of us on the process of how they're made with natural flavors to mock the taste of liquor. Super neat! Big fan of the bludacris and coco colada! Did I mention trivia night and food truck?

Yelp
We were in the area and drove past Newtopia so we decided to stop by a grab a drink. We got a flight and a pint so we could try a variety. I am not a huge fan of overly sweet drinks and the watermelon cyder was perfect. A hint of sweetness but not overly sweet, it was very refreshing (especially for a warm evening). My husband got the sampler and he enjoyed them all but he especially liked the POG, he said it had a great balance of fruit and flavor. There was a pop-up Filipino food stand out front so we ordered a few bites to enjoy with our cyder. Newtopia has a wide variety of cyder's to try so there really is something for everyone. When we went to check out I even mentioned "how did I miss that one?" Which gives you a reason to go back! They also offer snacks such as pizza, pretzels, and on Saturday they had chips and salsa. You can even grab a few of your cyder's to go. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors and is located in a great area. Tucked away enough for peace and quiet yet close enough to hop on and off the 15 freeway. Newtopia also had a variety of board games to choose from and play as you sip and snack. Great place for a group or even just a small gathering. It was quit busy for a Saturday evening but the staff kept the line moving and were helpful if you had questions or just weren't sure what to get.

Yelp
Personally one of my favorite drink spots since they've first opened and one of the very few cideries in general that I have been a fan of. It's pretty crazy to have watched their growth over the years. Drink-wise: they are obviously a cidery so they specialize in a variety of different types of cider. Ciders not typically for everyone, but Newtopia in my opinion can put their ciders up with anyone and probably come out on top. Their tap-list is ever-changing cycling through new drafts, seasonal specials, and OG's. It may depend on the tender there, but there is a "secret menu" of sorts where you can request a blend of two different ciders to create a new drink. Back in their early years, I used to request the OG "Chai-neapple Express" which was a blend of their Chai cider and Belgian Pineapple cider. If those flavors are available on tap, I highly recommend asking for them whether that's separate or blended. Ambience-wise: they go with a Victorian era-ish vibe with their decor. The location is fairly medium sized with both indoor and outdoor seating so it's good for all party sizes, whether you are by yourself, in a small group, or a large party. Indoors, they have seating at the bar, a few round tables, and couch seating. There's a parking lot and street parking, so parking is very rarely an issue outside of an event like farmer's markets. There's a big projector screen where they usually play some sports but I've seen other medias played as well. Outdoors - there's picnic tables and lawn chairs at the front entrance area. There is some shade from cover and trees and they do have heat lamps available for colder weather. The cidery is also kept clean as well. They often have different little shindigs across the week such as seasonal drink releases, food trucks, live music, farmers markets, and trivia night. They are also dog-friendly so bring the pups along for the ride. Service-wise: all the tenders have been great whenever I've been here. They are always patient, polite, make good conversation and recommendations on the ciders on tap. To wrap up this long review, I'll summarize by saying that though I can probably no longer consider myself a regular anymore due to my new life adulting 24/7, Newtopia stands as a staple of my very limited list of establishments that I will stand by and always recommend to folks. They are at the top of the cider game and I don't anticipate that changing anytime soon.

Yelp
I visited the Carroll canyon scripps - mira mesa location. I tried two flights and many of them were a treat to my taste buds. I'm a fan. Found out they have art creation nights once a month. This time they were making log ornaments with painted backgrounds and black trees. Pb&b- peanut butter 8/10 Banana applebum- tasted like banana and apple shake 9/10 Seltzy boi - less sweet, like blue cotton candy 7/10 Death and survival - strong black currant 10/10 Sky high and dry - like champagne 9/10 IPC - mesh between a blonde beer and a cyder 9/10 Chai me a river - cinnamon, chamomile, chrysanthemum 10/10 Solo tab - a twist on orange juice 8/10

Yelp
My friend recommended Newtopia Cyder after our dinner out nearby. I'm so glad she did! We arrived during a week night and before Christmas, so we were able to enjoy some of the holiday cyders. The decor and atmosphere are really cool. The graphics on the cans are a piece of beautiful art. We opted for a flight of 4 to enjoy. Chai Me a River, Apple Soirée, Gingerbread, and Mexican Chocolate Chai Me a River. They were so tasty and I can see why Chai Me a River is so popular and the base for some of their other cyders. After our flight we each ordered a pint. They offer prepackaged cans for sale in their cooler. I will definitely be back to this location as well as try the location in San Marcos.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
Currently offering their 2023 memberships! A great deal if you wanna support local and enjoy hard cyders. Eric is always helpful and Newtopia is still kickin it with their events and Farmers market thursdays.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped by here with a few friends one evening to try out the cider from here. Newtopia is pretty busy when we went on a Tuesday, I think they have some trivia night then. They have a lot of different options there as well as an option for a flight, coming with 4 different drinks. I got the chai me a river, which is a chai, cinnamony apple taste. I didn't taste much of the chai in here, it just tasted like a spiked apple cider. They have lots of different flavors here and I think the other one I was thinking of trying was the vanilla one since I like sweet things. Service here is quick, you line up at the serving station and order, pay, then get your drinks. There is some seating inside and outside, but if you come on trivia night, you'll probably have to stand like my party and I did. Overall a pretty cool and hip place to hangout at and great if you enjoy cider.

Yelp
Visiting from the Bay, had to grab a Sandiahz. Amazing! One of our favorite spots during our yearly visits to SD.

Yelp
I enjoy ciders and was looking forward to trying their styles. Strong and light alcohol. Can even combo different ciders for new flavors! Beautiful colors, too. In and outdoor seating. Fun atmosphere and workers there. A popular place to relax and enjoy your snacks from the Scripps farmers market.
google avatar

Isabelle H.

Yelp
Great ciders! Good ambiance! Trivia night is so fun here, but beware seating is limited on those days.
google avatar

Sophie Y.

Yelp
Such a chill place to visit in Scripps Ranch with delicious hard cider & friendly staff. Also dog friendly with patio.
google avatar

Conner S.

Yelp
I'm not a cider person at all but I love this spot! Their ciders aren't overly sweet and they have a great variety so there is something for everyone! I also love that they host events here - trivia, live music and even a farmers market! It really is a communal gathering place. Definitely a hidden gem in Scripps Ranch!
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
Cider can be such a hit or miss and this one is definitely a hit! They are always coming up with new flavors and so far everything I've had has been good. I recommend ordering a flight to try their different creations, and follow their Instagram to stay up to date on their weekly events. They host trivia, live music, food vendors, etc. It is a smaller ciderhouse so it can get busy and parking is also limited but definitely worth checking out!

Sean P.

Yelp
Rick and Jen are the best owners of a company you've could ask for. The customer service is unmatched. Absolute best experience you could find.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Got to try two new seasonal ciders, the blue dream and the sleepy hollow. Both amazing! They are spiced like their most popular drink, chai me a river, but different with the addition of blueberry in the blue dream and pumpkin flavor in the sleepy hollow. Also, service is amazing here! Our bartender let us try some samples before committing to them in a flight (she had us drink the samples outside due to covid restrictions which was totally understandable) and gave great recommendations. Due to covid you can only sit outside right now but they did have heaters up and when it got dark they had really pretty lights out.
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
I don't normally drink ciders but all their flavors are on point. The flavors described for each brew can be tasted. Great vibe and great drinks

Yelp
Newtopia is a great place to hang out and chill with friends any day of the week. The location not too far from the freeway and it's pretty easy to get to. It's in an area that's more commercial than retail with a small parking lot. However, at night you are able to park in the bank's parking lot next door. They have a large selection of ciders on tap and available to purchase to go in cans. There are a few constant ciders but a large number of them seem to limited and rotate out for new ones. POG with Li Hing Mui - This was available during Lunar New years was a variation of the POG (Pineapple Orange Guava) cider with Li Hing Mui which wasn't bad but I found it sweeter than the normal POG. India Pale Cider - A less sweet cider with a slightly beer-like flavor Sky High N' Dry - A cider inspired by champagne. It's like a cider with a dry brut-like finish. Chai Me a River - This seems to be one of their staple ciders. It's a sweet cider and like a liquified apple pie. If you have trouble picking a cider, you can always talk to the staff and they can make recommendations. Jake is super helpful and knowledgeable. He can even tell which cider is which just by the color. Also, every Thursday the Newtopia Cider parking lot hosts the Scripps Ranch Community Farmers' Market from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. It makes for a fun evening where you can pair some good food with cider on their patio.

Yelp
I recently had a chance to finally come here and it's definitely a place worth checking out. Just like any other brewery; Newtopia offers TVs, food truck(s), bar snacks, games, live music, and more importantly kid friendly. Amazing flavorful cider flavors. My fave was the watermelon flavor and the zizzy. I noticed they did have 1 beer on tap for those who prefer; A great alternative for those who don't drink beer.
google avatar

Craig W.

Yelp
I love their ciders (or "cyders"). They are still pumping out new ones so check them out. Their Chai Me a River is seriously Hall of Fame great but almost all of their offerings are really good. Ask their staff for guidance if you can't decide which ones to try. I'd say their ciders tend to be slightly more on the sweeter side but not overly so. They do offer drier ciders, too. High quality, delicious liquid here. Perfect for hot days.
google avatar

Kirk M.

Yelp
Great spot of ciders in the suburbs. Im not from the area but it was located in a business park. That day a farmers market was concurrently going on. Even so parking was available in the office park next door and on the street. Lots of ciders to choose from. Not too much inside but your there to drink and hang out so its sufficient. They have flights available so you can try different types before commiting to a single one.

Yelp
What a great place! My friends suggested we go after Community day. My friend called ahead and said they had pizza that evening. Bonus! Went in to a cool looking place. I couldn't stop looking around at all of the details. From the projection of tv on the wall to the glass roll down garage doors. The place oozed cool. I sampled a few tastes of cider before I settled on Chai me a river. Simply an amazing cider! So delicious and full of flavor. After purchasing my cider I went and ordered an Artichoke dip pizza slice. It was a thick crust pizza, but was light and yummy. A perfect finish to the evening.

Amanda M.

Yelp
This was my first time cider tasting, and I'm so glad it was at Newtopia Cyder! There were tons of options to choose from, so it was hard to decide on just 4! Each sip was full of flavor and I loved everything I tried. There is a great outdoor patio to sip and enjoy your cider, along with ample indoor seating. I loved the fact that they had a local home baker selling some delicious baked goods on the day we visited!
google avatar

Mia M.

Yelp
My first time here and it was a refreshing experience! There was a big open tasting room and it was very clean with cute decor. The bar tender was very welcoming and he offered us his personal suggestions based on the ciders that we like. There was no food today but they said that usually food trucks will be available. There was also easily accessible parking in the back. The bludacris is delicious if you're into the sour fruit taste. The apple soirée is a solid base for flavor and the ice crème brûlée is nice choice for sweet tooth's! Oh ras is our fav as it gives a refreshing bold flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
I thought it was nice all around. The atmosphere was clean, open. and friendly. Variety of cider to choose from and relaxing place to be in where you can actually talk to your company without wearing earplugs.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have been meaning to try out this brewery after we had one of their beers at Ballast Point. The workers at Ballast Point told us about Newtopia Cyder and after looking at their website, we definitely knew we had to take a trip up. Located in Scripps Ranch just off the 15-N freeway, Newtopia Cyder is a quaint brewery with indoor and outdoor seating available. They have a parking lot in the back with plenty of space. I believe the occupancy limit was around 50 people, if that helps you compare the size of the brewery to others. There's bar seating, 3 rolling tables with high stools, and a couch area. As with most breweries, there are board games for you and your friends to play as you enjoy your beers. They also have a projector that is put onto the back wall which is pretty cool! WiFi is also available. We decided to get a taster flight ($10) to try out all the beer we can - all of which we loved! We had: - Wyld - My Darling Clementine - Apple Soiree - Mordroc's Castle Apple Soiree was actually the beer we had tried at Ballast Point, but it actually ended up on the bottom of our list by the time we were done! It wasn't because it was bad since we still enjoyed it - the other flavors were simply better. My Darling Clementine is the sweetest out of that bunch, if you enjoy sweeter ciders. Wyld and Mordroc's had more of a tart bite. The lady that helped us around noontime (didn't catch her name!) was super friendly and accommodating for our first visit. We were interested in trying another flavor and she graciously gave us 2 samples of their Gold Medal Winner, "Chai Me A River". No wonder it got Gold Medal Winner - it was amazing!! My boyfriend was hooked and asked to taste another popular one, which was "Blue Dream" - it was so good and caught him off guard that he had to get a taster of it as well. The worker let us know that during the colder seasons and nighttime, they create a hot toddy for that flavor - we absolutely want to come back to get it! She also let us try "Viva Horchata", which wasn't as good as the others in our opinion, but we were grateful for her awesome customer service. Will definitely be back to try out all the other cyders!!!

Yelp
been here a few times and i always enjoy it. love the ciders they all taste good and dont hurt my stomach like beer does. the indoor area is nice but love the outdoor seating area on this large grassy area. great for dogs or kids to run around. careful though since there is a street next to it but its a quiet area. service is always good, nice servers and quick

Yelp
A chill place to hang out with friends after work but it can get busy so there may be a wait to order. If you want a quick bite, they also have food trucks here. I ordered a flight of the following drinks: (1st) Belgian Pineapple (2nd) Chai me a river (3rd) Unicorn blood (4th) My darling Clementine I really wanted to like the Unicorn Blood just cuz of the name haha but it was one of my least favorite. I liked the Belgian Pineapple and my darling Clementine the best. Note: I'm not much of a beer/cider drinker but I know I tend to have more of a sweet tooth and these drinks were definitely sweet hahaha

Yelp
Awesome cider spot!~ Newtopia Cyder is located in Scripps Ranch near Ballast Point, and is a fun place to change it up from the abundant amount of local breweries around SD. The bartender was welcoming and gave good tips on being a first timer here when I asked what were her faves. The ciders I ended up ordering were each respectively unique with the flight I got and the key note flavors. Ciders I tried: Chai Me a River, Banana Applebaum, Fuji LaLaLa, Hapa Hefe. Jumping Jack Julep, Coffee is for Closers, Passionate Mishap, and DimePiece Fun clever wordplay on the drinks! All were delightful and my favorites were *Chai Me a River*, *Fuji LaLaLa*, and *Coffee is for Closers*. Chai Me a River has that Fall/Winter comfort taste, MMmM! They have ample seating- I chose to post up at the bar the evening weeknight I came by. They had a food truck there I think it was Hawaiian, but I did not try it. Overall, a fantastic option for excellent ciders.~

Yelp
I have been coming to Newtopia for a few years now! I really enjoy the variety of flavors they have! One of my all time favorites is the Passion orange guava, I also love mixing their flavors (Peanut butter + coconut). Eric is always super pleasant and helps me with my choices/mixtures! They have a great outdoor seating area (lawn chairs and a few different benches). They also have a lot of different events and food trucks throughout the week. I love going to the Scripps farmers market on Thursdays and then stopping in for a cider. Newtopia is also super dog friendly! The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because of the constant changing of recipes. The chai used to be so delicious and now it seems to change every time I order it. One of my favorite ciders the Belgium pineapple was discontinued, and I heard it was because the new owner did not like to use the old owners recipes. Why change a good thing :(.
