"The youthful buzz at this Port Angeles bar is fueled by microbrews, craft cocktails, and first-rate pub food, including sliders, tacos, shepherd’s pie, and fish-and-chips. The burger selection alone is one of the more robust in the area." - Matthew Lombardi

Great beer selection, great food, great atmosphere, and great service. What more could you ask for. It was also amazing for them to let us have our pups come in. As long as they stay on the cement side of the restaurant. I had the tuna sandwich and tomato soup. We also had their peanut butter burger and their poblano burger special. Their garlic fries were perfect!!

Google
Overall a nice experience but VERY slow. The food quality is absolutely preforming to what it should be. Good quality and cooked great. Nice selection of spirits, wine and local beers. Inside space is SMALL, but it is labeled as a gastro pub and those are commonly small. However it does still feel roomy enough that you are not having dinner with your neighbors. Service - VERY SLOW but the girl we had was very respectful and seemed extremely overwhelmed and overworked. Was very evident they were under staffed. Cook staff missed on adding the extras. Attention level just wasn’t there for anyone but as mentioned the staff was very respectful and polite.

From out of state and decided to eat here. We had the tiger flavored wings, which were smothered in sauce and soft. We also had the smash burger (delicious according to my bf but he is not good at describing exactly how things are delicious) and I had the mushroom burger, which was good because the mushrooms gave a perfect balance to the meat. We ended with the crème brûlée, which cracked perfectly and had a great burnt tinge to the creamy. Would recommend eating here.

Google
Nice neat place with great food! Their Mac & cheese with buffalo chicken is a MUST TRY! ❤️ Their outdoor seating is nice.

Google
Excellent bar food and good prices on a variety of local and statewide beers. Our bartender Jordan, she was really friendly. We really enjoyed our Ron Burgandy burger with the mushrooms, and the fried pickles were excellent. Definitely a good place to stop by for a decently priced meal.

Arrived as they opened, and it filled up quickly. The service was great. Water always full, drinks out quickly, and food right behind. Worth the stop. Great lunch.

Google
This a beautiful cozy place in Port Angeles. In our trip to Olympics the weather was very bad so we basically stayed at our cabin and ate food here every day. It’s is small place so some times you have to wait. There are plenty of vegetarian options here. Some drinks are okay. They don’t have old fashioned or equivalent which was little surprising for me.

Google
Great food, possibly the best food in the area, definitely the best while I was in town. The tacos are great, and filling, the beers on tap and pricing is absolutely great. The music is good and the FOH staff friendly as can be. The smash burgers are great and all burgers are smash now so you all know (at the time of posting). Miranda Rocks, personable, friendly, and helpful. Thanks everyone FOH and BOH included.

Yelp
First and foremost, very much appreciate the correction of my error on the of the tab and about the best blacken cod tacos I've had With regards Dave Poulsbo

Yelp
Awesome lively Gastropub located in downtown Port Angeles. All the items we tried were amazing (Fish n Chips, mushroom burger, sweet potato fries, Mac n cheese)! Note sweet potato fries come with a curry based dip, which pairs surprisingly well and it's a must try! Complement all the food with a few ice cold beer and you've got yourself a fantastic meal! Would definitely come back again!

Yelp
After a long day in the Olympic National Park, I found myself at this pub. I chose to sit at the bar and had a chat with the bartender, a woman wearing a hat. I ordered a plate of seared tuna sushi. However, my excitement waned as I waited for an hour for my food to arrive. I'm not exaggerating, it actually took them 60 minutes to make the dish! During this time, the crowd thinned out considerably. I kept looking and hoping while most of the food coming out the kitchen turned out to be burgers. The bartender reassured me a few times that the food was on its way, and we even joked about the kitchen staff possibly going out to catch the fish themselves. When the sushi finally arrived, it was alright but lacked wasabi, a key condiment for sushi. The bartender, in an effort to make amends, offered to take half off my bill. While the gesture was appreciated, I would have much preferred to pay the full price for a timely and satisfactory meal rather than receiving a discount for subpar service. I should've paid attention to the reviewers who similarly complained of painstakingly slow service.

Yelp
Busy. Fun. Great food. The homemade appetizer is a bacon wrapped chicken and artichoke with a blue cheese. Dip is outstanding. I recommend you start off with those. We also have the crab dip which was fantastic with tons of crab. Got three different types of cheeses and little tiny pieces of crostinis on the side. Like Split of fish and chips and upgraded the fries to garlic fries for two bucks. I totally recommend you do that. It was shaved pieces of cheese and pan-fried garlic. How do a pan of crunchy fries below your fish. Homemade tartar sauce? This is an excellent dish as well. The beer selection was good. We had a nitro which is always nice when we had that kind of thing. We also have cocktails and lime parking is out front or on the street and the restrooms in the back are clean and in good shape.

Yelp
This Yelp page does not lie - BEST BURGER OF MY LIFE! I was traveling through Port Angeles and decided to consult with Yelp. Next Door Gastropub was ranked Number One, which I can easily confer with. I highly recommend trying the "Not Your Average Joe!" This burger was anything but average. The coffee-rubbed burger was amazing because the coffee kept the moistness inside of the burger, where the patty literally melted in my mouth (Please see the attached photo of the burger cut in half!). The addition of the batter onion straws added the perfect crunch in between the JUICIEST Burger and a delectable brioche bun. Also, I have a theory in regard to fries at restaurant - If a restaurant has good fries, it means that they pay attention to the little details! Next Door Gastropub pays attention to every detail to create a next level dining experience. I will be coming back regularly as a very happy customer!

Yelp
Food here is phenomenal Love the Nutty Professor burger and their house made potato chips are delicious! Burger came out quickly, server was super friendly and attentive. Good vibes in this local pub. Nice and clean

Kacy A.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. Tuna melt and fish and chips were exceptional. Unique burgers as well. Service was great. We'll be back!

Yelp
Tough wait list, but good food and service(at the bar). Nice mix of locals and vacationers to keep side conversations interesting.

Yelp
Good thing I was sitting down when I ate the beef stew, my knees buckled. I've never had anything that tasty before in my life. I want to quit my job and spend my days trying to recreate that masterpiece. They had other food too that was just as good. Their BLTA sandwich was perfectly toasted and had a creamy aioli that complimented the crispy bacon and avocado. Their burgers were juicy and their caesar salad was a BLT version which was actually new take and appreciated. This was a perfect stop before we got on the ferry to Victoria. HIGHLY recommend.

Yelp
Great burgers, great service. Food arrived quickly, our waitress was very attentive. Large group and nothing was amiss.

Jane S.

Yelp
Great food and service. Dog friendly as well which we really appreciated as we were traveling with our family's dog.

Sophie M.

Yelp
Great burgers & our waitress, Isabella M., was great! She checked in frequently. We sat on the small patio & the atmosphere was perfect!

Yelp
Probably not worth the wait if you're hungry after a long day of hiking. When we arrived the hostess said there was about a 40 minute wait because there were 6 groups ahead of us. Thankfully we asked if we could eat at the bar and they were able to sit us immediately. That being said, what I found odd is that inside there were about 3 or 4 empty tables. But I didn't care, I just wanted some food. Later, I learned they were understaffed and the service was slow. It took more than 45 minutes to receive our main courses after ordering even though the restaurant was half empty. And on top of that they sent our order to the wrong table. Which, normally, is not a big deal but I watched the customer touch the food, they took it away and then gave it to us. My wife and I shared the Albacore Tataki, Albacore Tuna Melt, Blue cheese fries, and Fish Tacos. First up was the Albacore Tataki which had a sweet soy reduction balanced with a spicy wasabi aioli. If I was a richer man I would have ordered another or two. The blue cheese fries also exceeded my expectations. But as for the remaining dishes... They were below average. As for the ambiance it's what I've come to expect from a gastro pub. It's very casual, laid back. People come to eat, drink and chit chat.

Alexander R.

Yelp
Lovely little pub in downtown Port Angeles. Extensive varied tap list and wonderful food. Beautiful small space which is open to the outside in nice weather. I had a great weather coast IPA on tap and the BLTA sandwich along with a green salad. Both excellent. Our service was prompt and pleasant.

Erin A.

Yelp
We got the poutine and the Mac and cheese and they were both so good! The beer was really good too. My favorite was the nitro milk stout.

Kay K.

Yelp
Stopped in here after a long day whale watching. Immediately told there was a 15-20 minute wait ... when there were several open tables. So we opted for the bar. Ambiance, service, and food were great! Only issue was the 19$ burger and 20$ pub dip didn't come with fries or chips... online showed that as the options, but bartender let us know otherwise. How can you justify charging 19$ for burger and not include a side?

Yelp
We came here on a Tuesday evening and waited about 30 minutes for a party of three. It is not a huge place but it was packed because it is one of the only restaurants in the area that is open on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays as well as open late. It was a 1+ hour wait for a lot of people who came after us but you can call to get on the waitlist too. For some of these parties, the host recommended they go to Bourbon West while they wait. CALAMARI ($14) - The calamari was nicely fried and they were not oily at all. Other than that they were pretty standard calamari. 3/5 JALAPEÑO CRAB DIP ($20) - The dip came with nicely toasted bread and a dip topped with melted cheese. There were smaller amounts of crab in the dip than we would've liked but it was still there and still really good. 4/5 COD & CHIPS ($20) - The fish was very soft, lightly fried, and flaky. Everyone at the table enjoyed it. 4/5 SUPER DELUXE BURGER ($19) - I asked for the burger to be cooked medium and it was actually perfectly. The burger was good and the bacon was really crispy. We upgraded to poutine fries for $5 and they were delicious as well. 5/5 GINTASTIC LEMONADE ($12) - This cocktail was deliciously refreshing on a warm day. The St. Germain stood out to me; it's known as the bartender's ketchup for a reason! 5/5 THE TIN CUP ($11) - This was essentially a Moscow mule with bourbon and angostura bitters. This was unique to me and I wasn't the biggest fan of how strong the bitters flavor was. There were bourbon flavors too but the angostura really overpowered it. 3.5/5 It was your standard American restaurant serving fare like burgers, sandwiches, and other shareables. You won't find many different types of cuisines and food in this area but this place was still pretty good, wait times aside.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch last weekend and loved this place! There was about a 30 min wait on a Friday afternoon, so we elected to take earlier seats available at the bar. The bartender was great and very helpful with ordering gluten-free. We loved their seasonal lavender cocktails and tried them all. Food took a really long time to get out, so don't plan to be in a hurry when you visit.. it was worth the wait, tho! The fried pickles and poutine were not gf, but my buddies enjoyed them. My burger could have been on a gf bun, but I prefer lettuce wrap, and I absolutely loved the peanut butter bacon burger with garlic parmesan fries fried in a separate gf fryer! It was so delicious. I wish I could have it now. Next time we head that direction, I already know where we'll stop for lunch! Hopefully, we can arrive early and beat the crowd.

Ankita K.

Yelp
During our stay in Port Angeles we came across this Gastropub and went there on a monday night. There was a 1 hr wait since the restaurant was understaffed. Once we got our table the service was quick and staff was very friendly. We ordered margarita and Passion orange and guava Pale Ale for drinks. Loved both our drinks. The chicken wings were slightly under seasoned. However, my husband loved his fish tacos. Tip- I would recommend calling them atleast an hour before to book a spot.

Shannen M.

Yelp
Maybe it was because it was a busy Monday that staff members were all over the place. Upon arriving we waited by the hostess stand to be seated. No hostess in sight and no one to greet us. We stood there for a good couple of minutes until the hostess showed up looking stressed. After we sat down we waited a while for our sever. Before our server made her way to our table my husband got up to ask the bartender for a drink and all she said was, "Where are you seated?? You have to wait for your server." And not in a kind way. She was a bit rude. She couldn't pour him a drink on tap and she wasn't even busy. After my husband came back to his seat, she felt bad and was about to tell him to go ahead and order, but our server finally came. She was very sweet. We ordered the calamari to start and two burgers, the Ron Burgundy and Wild Mushroom. The calamari was really good! Fresh out of the fryer and had a really tangy/lemony sauce. Unfortunately, the burgers were mediocre. We both asked for our patties to be cooked at medium temp. But when the burgers came they were overcooked. We didn't bother sending it back because it took a while for our food to get to us and we were hungry. The wild mushroom was lacking in sauce and mushroom (it's called the wild mushrooms. I didn't expect them to be stingy) and the patty was not too my liking. My husbands burger was ok according to him. His bacon was overcooked and he wasn't really happy with his patty either. We also ordered the garlic Parmesan fries for an extra $2. Tasted the Parmesan but no garlic whatsoever. I was pretty disappointed in that. I think the best thing about our experience was the calamari and our server. I wish I remembered her name. In our opinions, our burgers were not worth $20 each not to mention the additional $2 for Parmesan fries. The restaurant is pretty tight so I'd suggest coming early to secure a good table. We were seated in the middle and all of the servers had to squeeze through while we were trying to enjoy our time out.

Yelp
Good solid food consistent kitchen quality good selection of microbrews street parking

Yelp
Stopped in here for lunch when we spent the day in Port Angeles. Burgers were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the burgers, hubby and I both agree. The other members of our party had the fish and chips and they both liked it. The service was really great too, very friendly and fast. They also had a good beer list.

Kathy H.

Yelp
We all ordered burgers. They were dry and very small for the price. They actually gave one person in our group the wrong burger. When we told the waitress, she couldn't care less! ( she just gave a awkward smile, and did not come back to apologize or try to rectify. We have ate here in the past, and it was pretty good. I don't like an inconsistent restaurant. Won't come back or recommend.

Gabriela C.

Yelp
Tried to come here twice but the line was super long and the waiting list is ridiculous. I was told the wait would be 30 minutes however I didn't get a text back from them for over an hour and 25 minutes. I can't believe some people waited that long but we ended up leaving after being told it would be soon but never got in. There should be a way to put a reservation in online if they're going to take that long.

Yelp
A Port Angeles gem! This spot is my go-to for fantastic comfort food and a delightful array of cocktails and draft drinks, spanning ciders to beers. Personal favorites include the yam fries with aioli, the Westsider sandwich, and the irresistible smash burgers. The consistently friendly and attentive staff make every visit a pleasure.

Madelyne V.

Yelp
Amazing smash burgers! I was in the mood for a smash burger after a hike and decided to stop by this place. I ordered a smash burger with jalapeños and grilled onions. It was delicious. The service was also exceptional and attentive. I highly recommend this spot for burgers!

Austin W.

Yelp
Chill service. Fun drinks. Excellent food. My wife and I passed through town on a road trip, we walked around town and stopped in here for lunch and it was excellent. I got a sandwich and my wife got a salad. Portions were nice, everything was very fresh and very flavorful. I really enjoyed everything we had. Drinks were fun with an extensive menu also featuring a large selection of mock tails. Our server was very helpful and friendly and if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop in.

Heather Z.

Yelp
We were hiking in the Olympics and decided to spend the night in Port Angeles - and found amazing food at Next Door. We sat at the bar and got amazing service from Meghan. I had the Ahi Taktaki. Delicious!!!! It's crusted in sesame, and topped with microgreeens and fried onion rings. So so good. Husband had the Dip. It had enormous amounts of beef - exactly what he was looking for. I also had a new beverage called Kin Euphorics. Not too sweet, but a new interesting flavor. Again, I highly recommend. We will come back!!!

Brittany T.

Yelp
This was our first time coming to the restaurant, and my husband and I were looking forward to having dinner together here, we had our 10 month old and when we checked in in with the hostess we asked if they had highchairs and the lady at the front said they do, and told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait. We waited outside for 40 minutes, and when we were finally brought into the restaurant, the same hostess takes us to a tall table. The tall tables sit way higher than the high chairs they provide, so we told the hostess it wasn't going to work and we left. It was a waste of time for us, and with a 10 month old you have no time to waste before they run out of patience.

Wendy S.

Yelp
This was an unexpected find on our drive back from Olympic National Park. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food. The wild mushroom burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Be warned it is a small place so we had a wait and the food service was slower than desired. Would come again!

Kay F.

Yelp
Delicious tacos and hamburgers! It's a cute pub. The staff is so kind and efficient. The food presentation is beautiful. We enjoyed this comfy, laid back atmosphere. This is a great place to meet friends.

Alex G.

Yelp
It was a little while back but I figured since I thought about it 6 months later it deserves a review. The burger I had from them is a reason to come back to PA nuff said. I think the place was cool and had great beer selection as well as a friendly staff. If we ever go back to the peninsula we will be back.

Sherry S.

Yelp
Another place that has been affected by being short staffed sigh... Come on businesses, just give them a decent wage already and you'll have employees begging to work for you. Despite those shortcomings we got in right as they opened up so was able to get a table outside. Love businesses that allow dogs. We have a special situation as my dog is glued to me and goes into fits of anxiety so we have no choice. I'm basically HIS emotional support system. I need to get one of those jackets. Anyway, I ordered their fish tacos and added avocado and jalapeños to it. (That's an option so I couldn't help myself). The tacos were huge, fish fresh, and as you can see by the pic I had plenty of jalapeños to my delight. They came on the side so don't be scared you would get them that way or anything. I also ordered a couple of their ginger mules with cucumber vodka! Loved that combo. The service was awesome despite their short staff. She was right there for getting us another drink, getting the food out quickly and coming back to see if there was anything else we needed. Again though businesses you are putting unnecessary stress on the servers that are doing their best. Please fix this!

Carol Y.

Yelp
This is a super adorable joint. Narrow, with limited seating. **I highly recommend showing up early to get a table for lunch.** Staff is very friendly and atmosphere is welcoming. It is right on the main road through Port Angeles, but if you are not looking for it...you will miss it. Menu includes several creative burgers and sandwiches, homemade soup, fish tacos/fish n chips. EVERYTHING that came out the kitchen looked delicious. We ordered the albacore tuna melt with the soup upgrade and pub burger with onion rings. Both were delicious!

Dave B.

Yelp
Great Food, service to & Ambiance in downtown Port Angeles, Washington. We visited once with out-of-town company and had a great Lunch at "NDG"as it's referred to locally... M

Chewie N.

Yelp
After the ferry, we were hungry. We waited about 25min for a table outside and ordered the poutine (little salty), Caesar salad, fish and chips, tuna sando. It's good bar food. Fun vibe with sports games and music playing. Service here is so helpful and friendly. Next time I want to try the chicken sandwich or a burger. They looked really good.

Peter O.

Yelp
Friendly staff, great beer selection, good vibe, nice pub food selection, excellent veggie burger and fries

Bobby G.

Yelp
Great service and smash burger. Wings hot and beer selection was perfect after waterfall hikes.

Lindsay P.

Yelp
The food was great and the drinks were good, it did take awhile to come out- but the service was sub par, either they had no personality or didn't care that we were there... We appreciate that this place was actually open on a Monday, most restaurants in the area were closed. The ambiance was relaxed casual vibe.

Nikita S.

Yelp
Refreshing and Light beers! They also have fruity beers which was my favorite. I highly recommend the "Wild Mushrooms Burger" the beef patty was flavorful and it melted in my mouth. The whole combination was a BOMB! We had to wait for 40 mins but it was worth it!! Please make reservations if you can

Robin R.

Yelp
Sat at the bar for a drink and moved outside when a friend joined (after checking out with the bartender) because it was dog friendly and blatantly got ignored by the waitress with a backwards hat - she went up to every other table multiple times to check on them and refused eye contact with us. Ended up leaving after 20 mins.

Taira H.

Yelp
Great fish n chips! Can't go wrong with fish along the coast. Great portion sizes and the fish was perfectly fried with fish being the mani ingredient. I hate when it's more fried than fish. We sat at the bar so service was quick and easy. They also have a great Mac n cheese and poutine fries are massive but worth it.

Dimitri B.

Yelp
This place was excellent for a quick bite and drinks at the bar. Our server/bartender was very friendly and constantly kept up with us throughout the evening. Place was packed even for a Sunday night, so you know it's got to be great!

Man E.

Yelp
Recent Labor issues are making their influence felt by customers. Typically we love this place and often dine in or order for pick up. I called for 2 Fish and Chips orders for pick up, I was told they were too busy for pick up orders but she could put my name on the list and we would be seated in about 45 minutes. Really? Too busy or maybe the staff is trying to leverage tips. At any rate their logic escapes me. If you're too busy for a pick-up/to go order how can you justify seating people? Not a good business decision. We ent elsewhere for our meal.

Diala A.

Yelp
A nice spot for lunch! The weather was beautiful so we enjoyed a table outside under the umbrellas, very pleasant. The food was ready quickly and it was delicious - it was clear the ingredients were fresh! Our server was friendly and attentive, we had a nice experience!

Tanuja N.

Yelp
Food, Service and Ambiance were all great! The Caesar salad was one of the best!! Long wait recommend reservations or go for stroll in nearby downtown. The murals around the restaurant were one the best depicting the history of the town!! Overall an amazing experience. If you are taking a ferry let the host know!!

Steve H.

Yelp
The food was pretty on-point, which is fortunate because after a 30 minute wait, we were seated right next to the front door where we were repeatedly blasted by frigid air every time it was opened -- and *held* open -- while people inquired about getting a table. After realizing this, the hostess rather rudely refused to reseat us at another open table when we asked. (We had not even ordered anything yet.) Oh, the music was also rather loud in the front of the restaurant. But back to the food.... I'm a sucker for fried pickles, and these were a great balance between pickle and tempura-style breading. Sadly, they were out of the chicken brochettes so we ordered the hummus plate -- which had been described to us as chipotle but definitely was not. It appeared homemade and was good. However, the bread really does not need to be buttered, and additional veggies would have been nice. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, as well. Slightly over-generous servings of fries, though they were good. 4-stars on food alone, but sadly, the inflexible seating policy and less-than-accommodating hostess comes at a cost. In short, if you bundle up, wear a hat, and double up on jackets like I did, you may actually be able to enjoy the otherwise decent food here!

Diana N.

Yelp
On a recent trip to Washington my friend and I went for dinner. He had a hamburger and fries and I had the fish and chips. Great food, great service and a very busy place.

Callie S.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Drinks were great and the food was superb. Visiting from CO, will be back again when I can! Would've taken a pic of the food first but couldn't wait!

George I.

Yelp
Visiting Olympic national park and stopped after for lunch. Pleasantly surprised by cool atmosphere and quick service. Ordered the Ron Burgundy burger and it was perfect. I recommend this restaurant-bar, you won't be disappointed.
