I moved here from NC and practicing veganism is something I’m currently doing. When I tell you these people are super sweet, and the food is incredible I mean TOP NOTCH! In all my two years of veganism this burger was good!!!! I hate that it’s in a Whole Foods but, the location is pretty decent. I came back twice to make sure I wasn’t tripping. Each time 10 out of 10. On my first time trying it this Caucasian lady was so sweet to me, she even walked my food to me, and she didn’t have to. I love this little gem 💎

Next Level Burger is located within a Whole Foods building, creating a lively and bustling atmosphere. While the ambiance can be a bit noisy with many people coming and going, I personally enjoy the energetic vibe. We tried the Ghost Pepper Popper Burger and the Fire Chik'n Burger. Despite being labeled as spicy on the menu, they were actually quite mild in reality. However, the French fries were excellent. It's worth noting that the portion sizes are smaller compared to traditional restaurants, but the prices are also lower, which is a plus. I appreciate that everything is vegan, so I can order without hesitation. My wife particularly enjoyed the mint chocolate shake. Would I return? Probably not. The service was surprisingly fast, and the place was kept clean despite the high foot traffic. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I'm not compelled to visit again. I left the place with wanting more food, would rate it a 3.5

I order for pickup on the app on the way home from work every few weeks. I've always been completely satisfied. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the menu is heavenly (love veggie options! Hard to find a vegetarian place that's good), the food always tastes great and consistent, I love the sauce options. Overall 10/10 for me. I really love this place. It's also so convenient to be able to grab some groceries before or after my pickup. The rewards are really great too, it makes a difference in how I feel ordering. They also care about sustainability which is great.

They have a selection of things to choose from, including burgers, chicken sandwiches, shakes and more! This location is inside of a Whole Foods, so if you are okay eating inside of an already busy spot, that’s great, but if not, I would try the Ballard location, which is a stand alone restaurant. Next Level is a pricey vegan burger shop, so if you are looking for cheaper prices, Next Level may not be right for you. I had the fire cheeseburger and the chocolate shake. I also had the cheese fries. The fire cheeseburger was spicy, but tasted really good and was hot and fresh. The chocolate shake was delicious and I couldn’t even tell it was vegan. My wife had the american cheeseburger and the orange creamsicle shake, and she also enjoyed them both! She said they were delicious! I highly recommend next level burger and they have definitely gained my loyalty as a customer!

Food is pretty good, but you must order a shake (see below)! Some burgers are prepackaged and others are made on site. Sauces are flavorful. Its convenience food but they use non-GMO organic ingredients and that's great. Plenty of options to choose from! So the shakes are pretty incredible and they're made made to order. I suggest the soy base (smoother, creamy) instead of the coconut base. The "next level" peanut butter cup is very tasty with chocolate chunks mixed throughout. Not too sweet either!

This has to be by far one of the best Vegan burger places on the planet! I'll start with the staff - they were super patient, friendly and very helpful. The menu is MASSIVE, as a Vegan I was spoilt for choices! We ordered the double chicken stacked burger, socal burger, Chipotle burger, beyond fire burger with a cookies and cream shake, and a chocolate shake with a side of cheesy chilli fries! I'll start with the shakes. They were thick AF, super duper tasty, and very filling. I personally tried the double stacked chicken burger and beyond burger and both very incredibly tasty, and bursting with wide range of flavors. The chicken patties were incredible, and beyond burger as always was great. The fries were quite reasonable too. Overall one of the best burger experience in my 19 years of Veganism and eating all across the world. 5 stars and highly recommend it to everyone looking for a great burger, fries, shakes experience.

First time trying an all American vegan burger. The quinoa patty was a good alternative, but it was not as filling as a beef or chicken burger. My dog was not interested. The Artisan So Cal Burger was also missing avocado. You can’t forget that ingredient. The organic peanut butter cup shake was too sweet and chunky.

I'm a bit biased against American food - if it's not s'mores, then I just don't usually find it worth it - so take this review with a grain of salt. As a vegan, I always appreciate when restaurants make an effort to try to re-create foods that people love, vegan style, so with that appreciation in mind, I thought it'd be worthwhile to give this place a chance. The food was ok - there was nothing spectacular about the chicken bacon sandwich or the Oreo shake I got. Don't get me wrong, they tasted fine and as you'd expect for both items, I just wasn't wowed at all. It tasted like classic American food which seems to be the goal of this restaurant so if that's what you love, then this is the place for you. The staff was friendly at this location and it was kind of cool that it was located inside of Whole Foods so you can grab a bite to eat while getting your shopping done.

We got three order of fries on our most recent visit and all three fries were disappointing. Too gummy and stale. The burgers and shakes were still very enjoyable. Good service and atmosphere.

Order through Uber eats. But I've been in store too. Very quick, usually not too busy. Staff were friendly and I like the ideas they come up with. I had a peanut butter shake while ago I really liked. I like this place, but I just want to give my opinion on the pub burger. It's good, but it 100% needs to be wrapped in any situation (take out, for here, Uber eats). It wasn't for my order and it just becomes a soggy mess. That's fine if it's wrapped imho, people like dicks burgers when it becomes pretty soggy at the end, but it's legit the best part of the burger and they didn't get their hands completely covered in sauerkraut juice and mustard mix. Because there is a LOT of sauerkraut and ground mustard (on both sides of the meat/bun) on the burger and the entire bottom is already soaked The idea is great though, the flavor was there. It just needs refinement

Food - I've ordered from here several times and am always happy! This time I got the cluck tenders value basket. The milkshakes are some of the better vegan milkshakes I've had. Service - N/A because take out but it's always packed incredibly well. They tape the drinks shut for tamper resistance and avoiding spills. The packaging is also sustainable. Ambiance - N/A but the packaging is very pretty.

I rarely take time to write a review. Historically I have loved my burgers here, today NO. Over-cooked tiny thin charred burger, no onion as requested. Sub-par meal. Bummer. But I won't give up ~ usually excellent. Today, regret money spent.

As a vegetarian, I'm always looking for new options. There is a lot of hype around the burgers and add-ons. The flavors could be better. There are only so many choices for a chain of veg burgers, but if this is your signature dish, you can do more. The restaurant is inside Whole Foods, clean and spacious. The value for the size and general lack of flavor makes it something I would think twice about ordering again.

I can't believe I'm saying this because I'm a burger lover, but dang, you wouldn't know this place is vegan unless someone told you. Seriously I feel like this is the Seinfeld episode where they eat the 'fat free' yogurt and it tastes so good the had to have it tested (unfortunately it was not fat free LOL). This location is inside of a Whole Foods with some street parking but also a small lot across the entrance. So if you don't want the drinks they offer or sides, go roam the grocery store for something else...perhaps an adult beverage (actually I have no idea if that's allowed). Despite being inside a grocery, it's got some good seating right inside with larger sharing table space. Okay on to the food... I got the fire burger as-is. I love spice, but this had some unexpected *actual* heat for a fast-food place! Beware, but it was awesome. Close your eyes and you don't know you are eating a plant-based product with the smash patty and cheez. LOVE it. I also got some tots with one of the sauces and you couldn't tell that was also vegan. ANd to top it off seriously one of the more tasty shakes I have had in a while. I opted for the half/half of soy/coconut and think that is the winning combo (after tasting my son's). I got the peanut butter cup flavor. Soooo good. Wish there was one on the east side and I'd frequent this place weekly. Taking friends back to get their opinion! Staff was friendly and service was quick on a friday night (it was raining though not a lot of people out).

My grandkids love coming to NLB for our "fun food date" they can get anything the want and I don't feel bad about feeding them. Tried the seasonal Texas BBQ burger and it was heavenly!

How I heard of this place: Vegan friends of ours love the comfort food at Next Level Burger, and after hearing about their experience, we had to try it for ourselves. Type of cuisine: Burgers and fries and thick shakes. Ambiance: Set inside Whole Foods, the cafeteria-esque nature of an order counter and free-for-all seating makes for an easy spot to stop and grab lunch. Fluorescent lighting, noise level at the whimsy of goings-on in the supermarket, it's a great spot to take children and quite family friendly. What I ordered: We have sampled a handful of their burgers, including a chicken and fish alternative, their Chili Chz Style Fries, and several of their thick soy/coconut shakes. What I loved: Everything is good, greasy and satisfying if you're looking for a comfort meal that, while vegan and healthy for the environment, isn't so friendly or healthy for your gut. ;) Why I loved it: Generally a quick in-and-out for a satisfying, filling meal. Cost: Average to High

Coconut milk shakes were absolutely delicious. I love pretzel buns, so the burger was yummy. And the fries were well...fries. Their menu is also pretty customizable. The restaurant was also very clean. The one thing they could do better is add an "extra crispy" option for the fries.

Next level burger is a completely vegan burger place inside the whole foods. Suggest ordering on the app ahead of time to expedite your order. There are also a few coupons with the app! The burgers are sometimes amazing, but a time or two has been too salty.

Woof. Tried this place because the Whole Food hot bar was sparse. The chicken sandwich started out great until I took a bite about halfway through and got a mouth full of sand. The lettuce was very sandy and unfortunately unwashed. Spat it out and tossed the rest. Would definitely avoid if you're in a sensitive group that should be careful about ecoli like I am. Fingers crossed no issues later today. Also their onion rings are good, but an awful value. 5 pieces for over $5. Really disappointed.

i will say this place is amazing, moving into a more plant based mostly raw vegan lifestyle i decided to splurge with trying out this spot and damn im impressed. mallory is extremely sweet, very attentive and extremely knowledgeable in her line of work, very helpful in helping w/ ingredient questions and recommendations. new go to spot definitely will be back, thank you mallory

I hate leaving bad reviews but in this case I was pretty duped. I had been in a few days before when I heard the restaurant had new seasonal items. I immediately had to try "the gobbler" I ordered it without the bun and it was perfect. The cutlets were crispy the dressing, gravy,and cranberry were placed on the side so I could distribute it as I like. I couldn't wait for another one. So I ordered another one today for lunch the exact same way but with and extra cutlet. When I received the order I noticed the sandwich seemed much lighter then the one I had previously( which was odd considering I had added the extra cutlet)I open it up and it's just two cutlets with lettuce laid on top. I took it back and told the guy there was no gravy, no stuffing , and basically no cranberry sauce( it looks like they ran out cranberry sauce and drizzled what was left of the juice and the bottom of the pan)The guy explained that he had ran out gravy and had to make more . Which is fine but still didn't explain why there was no stuffing , gravy , or cranberry sauce which are literally the entire sandwich. The sandwich was taken back to be "fixed" I get back home there's still no cranberry sauce, or gravy( even after he had just told me mins before that he had made gravy more and it was just a little thin). It's clear they had just ran out of stuff and tried to cover it up with lettuce ,and instead of just having it 86'd off the menu or even telling me they were out of stuff he just went with hoping I wouldn't notice. I give two star cause the girl at the counter and staff were very nice. But i definitely got duped on this one.

Amazing. Simply Amazing. Me and my family aren't vegan, but that did not change anything. Service was fast, we got our food in 5 minutes tops. Go here if you can.

So I always pass by this burger joint at Whole Foods, and I had absolutely NO IDEA that it was a completely vegan fast-food chain. It's been two years now, and I finally caved and ate here. I have no regrets! There were so many options to choose, whether it be a burger, brats, fries, snacks, and milkshakes. Yes, I said milkshakes! It's not very often do you hear of a vegan burger joint that also makes vegan milkshakes. I ordered the Fire Signature Burger, which consisted of a patty made with quinoa and mushrooms. It also came with avocado, pepper jack cheese, tomato slices, some lettuce, and a delicious spicy ghost pepper sauce, which made it so addicting. I also ordered the beerchz burger, which had a Beyond Beef patty with sauerkraut. Delicious! Now, onto their milkshakes. I ordered the blackberry milkshake with half coconut and half soy. I COULD NOT believe that it was 100% vegan. It wasn't too sweet, and it also had the perfect consistency with a milkshake-y aftertaste if you know what I mean. It reminds me of McDonald's soft serve ice cream, but a healthier version. :) I frequent this Whole Foods location often, and best believe that I will be back to try the rest of their items on the menu. I love that this burger joint is 100% plant-based and stands by their mission of reducing our carbon footprint.

I wasn't going to review this place, as it's a chain... but here we go! Located conveniently inside of Whole Foods, sits a cute little counter service restaurant. Although I'm in a committed relationship with the WF hot bar, i figured, try something new - why the heck not! The manager, Aja, made me feel special. She took me through the whole menu, giving me recommendations and sharing funny stories as she went. For a second, I forgot she was just a random person and not one of my best friends ever. I would definitely come back just to chat with her again! She said Next Level Burger is less of a restaurant, and more of a family. That hit me right in my heart. NLB4e

I am not a huge fan of meatless burgers but off late I am open to trying different options to save our planet. I checked out their menu and boy I was confused cos I wanted it all. Finally I decided on trying their Signature burger with the mushroom quinoa patty along with the crispy chikn burger. Both the burgers were delicious. The signature burger is amazing with avocado and the garlicy dil sauce that gives it amazing flavors. I was blown by the crispy chikn burger. That patty just tasty and felt like a chicken patty. They house special sauce is delicious and I added that to both my burgers and had some extras for my sweet potato fries. We also had their cookies and cream shake and it was delicious. All in all we loved getting food from here while doing our Whole foods run. This place is truly next level!! Will come back and try more options - The Maverick and Fishless burgers! Cant wait.

I tried Next Level burger for the first time last week (sunny Saturday arvo). Parking was easily found in the parking lot across the street. Parking was free there but paid parking was also available on side streets. Next Level burger is located inside Whole Foods. Take the door on the right end of Whole Foods to get the quickest route. I had no idea it was a plant based business and was happy to find this out. Packaging is compostable. The business model is an awesome concept ! I ordered the Signature burger with a coconut based Choc Mint Shake to go. I waited about 15 minutes all up from ordering to pick up. It was busy but the staff were still very friendly. The Signature burger was delicious. I enjoyed the sauce that was on the burger. FYI If you're wanting to eat a burger graciously, this burger is not it! It will crumbled and fall apart but it doesn't take points away from the burger itself. The shake was alright. The staff said the coconut is quite strong so if you like coconut, then choose it. For my taste, the coconut was a little hard to rate highly with the combo of chocolate and mint. I'll try a simplistic shake combo next time. Straw was paper and I was initially guessing that it wouldn't hold well after a few sips, but it proved me wrong! Pleasantly surprised for sure - ha! Would definitely try Next Level Burger the next time I'm in the area.

My partner and I are in Seattle for a little while and went out of our way to stop in and try this place. It is situated in a Whole Foods but independent of WFM. 100% plant based, fast food style junk/comfort food. The staff was friendly and the menu had an exciting variety of burgers, sandwiches, and fries, not to mention delicious shakes (soy or coconut milk). We tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich, the American Burger, the limited edition Freedom Fries, and a chocolate shake. We also got some hard cider. The food was fantastic. Everything was good. The shake came with an astoundingly wide straw but it came in handy because the shake was thick and indulgent. We ate ourselves stuffed and would absolutely do it again. It is a little pricey but we definitely got our money's worth.

I got the signature burger, it was sooo good. Who knew a mushroom and quinoa patty would be that delicious! The cookies and cream shake was also really good, super creamy and really thick. This place is ALWAYS busy, so make sure to order ahead online!

Next Level Burger / Next Level Clucker is a vegan fast food restaurant located inside the Roosevelt Whole Foods! It's easy to walk past without noticing it, but it's well-staffed (they're also super nice and helpful), the food is cooked fresh, and there's a surprising amount of seating. It's got all the noise and bustle of a super market, but is separate enough to feel comfortable eating alone or with a lot of family/kids. The prices are high "vegan prices" (what do you expect, in a Whole Foods?) but the food and shakes were surprisingly good. Now, everyone knows I'm a carnivore, but what really drew me to try this was the milkshakes. I'm really lactose intolerant, so the prospect of a real milkshake that won't destroy me after is a huge plus! Next Level Burger has a wide variety of shake flavors, including three holiday specials (candy cane, egg nog, and bourbon apple pie). I tried the Bourbon Apple Pie and the Cookies & Cream, with the soy ice cream base (they also have a coconut base option), and both were thick and tasted really legit. I've been wanting to try their other options, so today I decided to try the kids chick'n nugget set, which came with 4 nuggets, fries, sauce, and a juice box. The fries were great -- thick, crinkle-cut, crispy seasoned outside and soft inside. The "chick'n" nuggets were surprisingly tasty, though no one would mistake them for real chicken nuggets. The outside is nice and battered and crispy, but the inside texture is soft like a chicken meatball or croquette. Still, it definitely tasted "chicken like." I'd happily eat it again if it weren't so pricy. I also liked the wide variety of sauces available (I chose the garlic mayo -- oddly enough this only shows up with the kids nuggets, and doesn't show up with the normal nuggets on the menu, so you might have to ask for this in person). Next time, I want to finally try a Beyond Burger. I've heard that it's the most realistic fake meat -- we'll see!

In case you missed the banner next to my name, I am on the Yelp! Elite Squad. This honor was accorded to me about a month ago. One of the perks of being on the Yelp! Elite Squad is that we are given the chance to eat somewhere free. I had the chance to eat at Next Level Burger (Inside Whole Foods) in Seattle at 1026 NE 64th St. Normally, I would have had to decline the offer because I live in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island. But, I was going to be in Tukwila on business so I accepted the offer. I'm very happy I was able to sample the food at Next Level Burger! Let me preface this review by saying I am NOT a vegan nor am I a vegetarian. I am a diehard meat-eating savage. Having said that, I did enjoy the Signature Burger at Next Level Burgers. I requested pepper jack cheese and some of their Special Sauce. I am sad to say that the patty did not taste like beef, but NLB (Next Level Burger) never said it would. The pepper jack cheese was lost amongst all the tasty avocado, tomato, and lettuce. The menu states that there are almonds in the patty, but my uneducated palate could not detect any almond taste. Mores the pity because I enjoy almonds. I almost forgot to use the Special Sauce. It was in a side container and wasn't applied to my Burger. Luckily I noticed my error with 3 or 4 bites left and dipped my burger into the sauce. BOY AM I GLAD I DID!! I love spicy food and this sauce has more than a bit of kick to it! I had to stop myself from just drinking the remaining sauce when my burger was done! I also had the chance to sample one of NLBs non-dairy shakes. The cookies 'n cream shake was included in the deal. There were 3 bases to choose from: soy, coconut, or half-soy/half-coconut. I chose to try to all coconut base. There was a definite coconut taste, but the cookies 'n cream flavor did make it through. I enjoyed my taste experience at Next Level Burger and would not hesitate to eat there again, if I was ever in the neighborhood again. If you like vegetarian food, or are just curious about the Beyond-style meat products, you should give this one a try!

ETA: I reviewed the wrong location but I'm gonna keep the review up because the food overall is a must try! I had the fire cheeseburger and my fiancé had the signature artisan burger. Both were so good!!! I'm vegan, he still eats meat but he said next time we are in the area we are definitely stopping by again! Plenty of seating, the employees were so friendly, and the sauces were top tier. I saw others getting some delicious looking shakes so we will definitely be returning to try those!

My go-to place for plant-based burger cravings! They also have salads, shakes, dogs etc. all at good prices. Their order counter is inside the entrance to Whole Foods and encompasses a small area with plenty of seating. It's always bustling. Despite them being busy on a Saturday night (10-15 minute wait), the cashier was kind enough to take the time to explain their app for me and manually log in my previous order. - Chik'n Bacon ranch: The perfect portion for small appetites; I wish it was bigger! It wasn't too heavy, greasy or overpowering. The tempeh bacon was a delicious pop of salty umami and the chik'n itself imitated the light meat perfectly - it just slightly lacked the chew. The cheese added moisture more than flavor. I love that you can substitute in a whole wheat bun, and don't forget you can add in red onion for free! This was a GOOD burger and I left satisfied. - Sweet potato fries: amazing! They were crispy and light, heavenly when paired with their savory secret sauce. - Signature burger: it's all in the patty, which was well-balanced and complex. Quinoa is always slightly stodgy when had on its own and I think they did a good job balancing out that texture. The avocado was a nice touch and added richness and moisture. This burger was made from high-quality ingredients and completely guilt-free! Tip: the app gives you a free burger (Classic, Signature, or Crispy Chik'n burger) with your first purchase! It also takes 5 orders to get a free NLB Stylin' Fries, and they give you a free shake on your birthday.

I'm no vegan, so I thought this was going to be a hard sell for me, but I was really pleasantly surprised. AND they deliver (which is great, because the location is not convenient for me at all). So far, we have tried: - Signature burger w/ smoked gouda: DELICIOUS. AMAZING. COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH I LOVED IT. - Chili cheez sweet potato fries: was trying to be a little healthier by going with the sweet potato option, but this def would've been tastier if we'd gone with regular fries or tots. The sweet potato was a smidge too sweet, but maybe some are into that. - Spicy kraut beyond brat: the toppings were great, but I didn't care for the brat itself at all, either flavor-wise or consistency-wise. My bf loved it, however. - Red hot chik'n tenders w/ blue cheese: not bad at all! You can get an order of 3 for $5 and it's a relatively inexpensive add-on to your order if you're looking for a little spice. - Pineapple shake: this was a special flavor only offered for a limited time. Tried it w/ the coconut soft serve base, and it was SO GOOD. I felt like I was on a tropical island. - Mint chocolate shake: a little too sweet for me, unfortunately. I couldn't finish it. - Maverick burger w/ smoked gouda: pretty good, but I def preferred the Signature burger. - Nacho fries: this was another limited time offering, but REALLY good! I'd def get it again if they bring it back. In general, it's a bit spendy, but the quality is there; it's obviously not your standard fast food experience. They also offer specials all the time if you download the app. Looking forward to trying more!

Yelp is awesome for bringing attention to small spots like this, I would have never found this spot if Yelp didn't bring them to my attention through a community event. I had a chance to have the signature burger (mushroom and quinoa patty) with a shake (I went with cookies and cream per worker recommendation) and their "special style fries." This is an impressively delicious burger despite being meatless. I will say I'm a fan of the frozen Morning Star Black Bean burger you can get at groceries stores but this thing is next level. Way more flavor and not as dry, which I was preparing myself for. For you meat lovers, you may not be satisfied but don't doubt overlook this option. Big fan of their sauce they have, tastes like chipotle mayo and makes the burger even more delicious. Their shakes are interesting as you can choose soy, coconut, or half soy half coconut. I tried the half half option and maybe wouldn't recommend if you're not a big coconut person as the coconut flavor is pretty strong, even at half level. So my shake was coconut with cookie bits. Not my personal favorite but not bad. I was more caught off guard about it but still found the shake enjoyable. Lastly, the fries were ok, soggy with all the sauce which was expected. Shallots did not add much to the flavor profile unfortunately so maybe would pass on these and just get regular fries. They use thick crinkle cut fries. Overall, price is reasonable for what you get. Next Level Burger is smart to be in Whole Foods because sometimes I want a quick bite while getting groceries before driving home. Convenient location and good food! One of the top vegan burgers in Seattle. Love the fire chicken or any of the spicy burgers and super food smoothie. Love that it's organic though I wish there were options to get burgers on kale instead of bread. I've shared with many carnivorous friends, not a one could tell it was vegan.

Yum!! So glad to have a vegan chain that always has good food available when you're on the road. We had a hiccup in our plans and were needing to regroup and find food and went into Whole Foods, then realized we had NLB as an option! The menu was different than our local NLB which made me so happy since the Bleu BBQ used to be my favorite and I was able to get it here. As far as fast food, NLB offers a much healthier selection and still hits the spot!

I never knew Next Level was a vegan burger place until today. I had the chick'n tenders. So crispy and crunchy. Hands down the best vegan fried chicken I have ever had. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Service was great as well. So excited about this place!!!

I wanted to review the order and pick up process because it was fantastic and really stood out to me!!! The guy who answered my phone call was extremely nice, answered all of my questions since I told him I'd never been there before, made recommendations and was super patient while I made final decisions over the phone. Everything was ready for me for pick up when I arrived (exactly at the time he said it would be ready) so really truly everything was a fantastic process. Everyone was also very friendly at the counter - the gal that checked me out and the manager! My friend got the Caesar salad and the sweet potato fries and was very happy! I tried her chipotle sauce and it definitely has a kick at the end if you're sensitive to spice like I am, but it's good. Everything we had was delish and we'll be back!

tl;dr - tasty burgers and shakes, fast and friendly service, inside Whole Foods I went by here on a Thursday night and it seemed pretty busy. There was a constant group of people waiting for their food. One thing I felt was that it was starting to get a bit cramped and difficult to space out when waiting for the food. I think this is more on Whole Foods because they had most of the space in front sectioned off. We decided to go take a stroll through the store while we were waiting since our order would take 15 minutes. My wife and I tried the Signature Burger, Spicy Super Stacked Chik'n, and a strawberry shake. The Signature Sandwich was really delicious. The patty had a crumble and taste which was reminiscent of a falafel, yet not fried and oily. The bun was soft and t he avocado added some creaminess while the lettuce and tomatoes gave it a nice fresh crisp. It had a nice garlic mayo to tie everything together. The Spicy Super Stacked Chik'n came with two patties and was a monstrously tall burger. It tasted surprisingly good for substitute chicken because the combination of the jalapeño, mayo, and veggies were really great. I didn't really taste the tempah bacon so I pulled out a piece to try and it wasn't something I felt contributed much to the flavor. Overall I though it was pretty tasty though and definitely felt more substantial than the Signature Burger. The one thing I had difficulty with was the height of this burger. It was too tall to eat like a normal burger and too dense to compress. Also, because the skewer the whole thing to hold it in place, the bun fell apart because the middle part tore from the whole so it because a bit messy to eat. I got the half coconut and half soy strawberry shake and tasted light and refreshing with a great, but not overpowering strawberry flavor. For those of you who are looking for something similar to what Shake Shack offers, this is pretty opposite. I really found myself loving this shake though because it was easily drinkable with the straw and it was not overly sweet. As a regular consumer of meat, this place really surprised me! I would definitely go back especially to get the Signature Burger and try some other menu items.

Wanted to try some Vegan burgers nearby and Yelp suggested Next Level Burger. I wanted to try burger that try to bring out the vegi flavor instead of trying to mimic the taste of meat like beyond burgers. First glance to their menu, it says "America's First 100% plant-based" so I was sold! I was a little bit confused at first since Google map took to the Wholefoods but didn't have trouble finding it inside. My ABSOLUTE favorite is the sweet potatoes Fries!!!! The texture, flavors, the sauce that comes with it...everything is PERFECT! Very well seasoned and the seasoning goes really well with the sauce too. SoCal Burger Since I wanted to try the true vegan burger, I ordered the one with a patty they doesn't look and taste like beef. The patty itself is not bad but when combined with the seven grain bun, it's really dry. They could really use more sauce with that American Burger taste better than SoCal but there is nothing special about it. I would say it's a little pricy but it's 100% vegan, so...

Thanks to Yelp for allowing me to have the opportunity to try Next Level Burger. It is located inside Whole Foods near UW. I ordered the Signature burger with crinkle fries and half coconut/soy pineapple shake. The smell was amazing as I pick up the order. The crinkle fries were fresh out of the fryer with a nice crisp and delicious seasoning on top without being too salty. Highly recommend the pineapple shake as it has pineapple fruit chunks with every sip. This is one of the few times I've had plant based burgers and it was one of the best I've ever had. It was a bit messy to eat as the patty falls apart with every bite but the flavor is good. My only complaint was the buns were a bit dry and lack the flavor; might be something I'm not used to it with the gluten free option.

Gosh I wish they had a location closer to Tacoma area. The burgers, fries, & shakes are delicious!!

Next Level Burger's conveniently and cleverly located in a Wholefoods. Neat fact: they're the 1st American 100% plant-based burger joint now in 5 states! After trying their Signature Burger, they have my support! Matcha shake: generous amount of matcha powder, tasty complement that's not overly sweet. 4.5/5 Signature burger with quinoa & mushroom patty: that garlic thyme mayo packs a necessary and well-appreciated flavor punch! Loved the attention to detail using fresh & vibrant vegetables, and a hardy sprouted grain bun. A substantial burger!

OVERALL: 6.75/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 3.375/5). DISCLAIMER: I received a Yelp Elite perk for one free signature burger and a small shake, BUT I bought an extra burger in addition for my partner (same as the freebie). Advice: Definitely order online (or at least not in person) for pickup. Ordering in-store is going to be quite the wait, and while they have a freezer to keep the shake cold while they make the rest of your food (kudos!), there's no open space nearby to wait around, so it feels pretty cramped. We were notified on Monday that the Elite perk could not be redeemed online or via phone, so I had to go into the Whole Foods to order it. The line had two parties in front of me to place orders, but the food took a while to come out (more on that later). I went in and ordered in-person on April 14th, 2021, at around 5:40pm. 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 7/10. If you haven't already figured it out, this place is 100% vegan - the cheese, shake options, "burger" options, etc - all of it is vegan. For example, the shake has the option to use soy or coconut ice cream to make it. The "chz" has different options, too, but I think those are using milk-alternative cheeses. There's a decent variety on the menu. For example, for "burgers", they have "classic", "artisan", and "chik'n", as well as a half-page "go big" option; fries; baskets (chik'n); brats ("hot dogs"); salads; sauces; shakes; snacks; kiddos; and finally, drinks. They tout themselves as "America's first 100% plant-based burger joint", and yes, they're actually a chain! (The next closest location is in Portland.) 2) FRESHNESS: 6/10. The shake was definitely indistinguishable from a milk-based shake, so kudos there. The burger wasn't as awesome - the ingredients didn't feel fresh, and even though I ordered in-person, for pickup, the burgers weren't that warm (only eight minutes later after we got home to eat). One thing I found frustrating: The burger kept falling apart as we were eating it. I kept watching in horror as the crumbs were falling off of the burger after I took a bite of it. My partner noticed this too - the burger seemed haphazardly constructed - and we ended up picking up a bunch of pieces that fell off the burger patty or the rest of the burger from the floor or chair. The signature patty mentioned the following: "Organic Mushroom & Quinoa Patty, Organic Avocado, Choice of Cheese & Roasted Garlic Thyme Mayo. 520 cals | 17g pro Allergens: Patty Contains Almonds" The burger includes avocado, lettuce, thyme mayo, and tomato. The lettuce kept crumbling and I could not notice the thyme (but I did taste mayo!). The main plus here is that this burger is only 520 calories. 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 6/10. For a (non-meat-based) burger joint, this place is on the high-end of prices; at $10.95, it's definitely more than you would spend if you were to make non-meat burger at home (beyond meat, impossible burger, etc), even with the "signature" patty, or buy a fast-food non-meat burger at a competitor (BK, McDs, etc). That being said, the shake is heavily overpriced - for any order you can customize soy and coconut milk, which I went half-half, but the "cookies" part of the shake was quite realistic-tasting for what you got (it's around a 6-8oz) $6.45 small shake. This is more expensive than a customized Starbucks Venti (20oz) frappucino - which is a fair bar when considering "expensive non-alcoholic chain beverages". 4) SERVICE: 8/10. So, the person taking my order actually *forgot* that I was a Yelp Elite member, despite checking off my name, so I ended up paying full price for two burgers and a shake. Their coworker did end up voiding that transaction (I hope I don't find it on my statement), and I paid for the other signature burger that I ordered, and they were super apologetic, but it happened, and thus, I'm mentioning it (no harm no foul, mistakes happen, so no negative marks when it comes to the review). The negative: The food took **a while** to come out - I waited a solid 20 minutes after I ordered to get my food, and my partner (who was waiting patiently in the car) actually texted me and wondered if I got lost in the Whole Foods (trying to find this place). Versus any comparably-sized competitor (fast-food, or Shake Shack, for example), this is way too long, so you really have to be bought-in to the vegan mission (and unable to dine out elsewhere as a result) to be all-in for this place. I will give them a plus in one major respect: they were able to deal with my peanut allergy in stride. I mentioned it, they IMMEDIATELY started with the "we can't guarantee you won't have a reaction" spiel, and I countered with "as long as you clean it, it'll be fine, I just want things to be cleaned properly", which they gladly did. I did not have a reaction from the shake, which is the biggest culprit of where peanuts would normally be (half of their shake flavours are peanut-butter-related), so that's a win in my book. Every time we go to whole foods in Roosevelt. We stop at Next Level Burger. Love the variety! Their vegan milkshakes are the best.

This is really NEXT LEVEL. Went here to try the food and didn't realize it was plant-based/vegan which is amazing to me because I mostly eat that. Ordered their spicy chicken sandwich, special fries, chicken nuggets, cookies and cream milkshake and it was insanely earth shaking !!! Best vegan food I've eaten in a while. The service was amazing as well. There is a lot of detail from eco friendly cups and straws to the details of the logo and overall vibe of the restaurant. I think the pricing makes sense because of the food, detail, and service and you can't even be mad because everything was ultimately perfect. Great experience and great food. Keep it up and I will be back !

One of my absolute favorite burger places in Seattle! I will start with a disclaimer that I am not fully vegetarian/vegan. I eat vegan a lot and aspire to do it more, and finding places with amazing vegan food makes it so much easier! This place being fully vegan blows my mind - so many of the options you could never even guess. The rest, maybe you can tell they are plant-based but they are still amazing. I had All American Burger and animal fries (how do you make vegan queso someone tell me this secret?!) and they were so good. Also had a strawberry cheesecake shake and it was amazing. If you are like me and aspiring to switch to a more plant based diet and need a delicious restaurant to make your taste buds happy and encourage your journey, I highly suggest!

For vegan burger it's not bad. Not sure if all the high ratings are warranted but I would give it a solid three. Prolly because I would rather eat a real burger. But that's my problem not Next Level. Fries and onion rings weee good too.

I got the signature burger and a small strawberry soy shake! Everything was really delicious. The shake was soooo creamy and good. Perfect for a nice spring day. The burger was so flavorful and filling. I really liked the spread that was used and the avocados were a nice surprise! It was delicious. Next time I think I'll add some onions but overall, really enjoyed this burger!

This place is AMAZING!! I will say I'm not vegan, but I have a dairy allergy so I eat vegan food pretty often. I ordered the Maverick and it was the best vegan burger I've ever gotten! Also PLEASE make the onion rings a side! It looks like you can only order it with a few burgers and that's it's. We also got the strawberry cheesecake shake and the orange cream and they were so good! We will definitely be coming back again!

Wholy wow, why haven't I tried this place before?! Had the BeerChz Burger and Blackberry Shake and they were both absolutely amazing. Ordered the ghost aioli on the side and it didn't disappoint. I could eat my way through the menu. No pics as the burger didn't stand a chance.
