Next Level Burger West Burnside

The milkshake is amazing!! But it doesn’t worth taking medium since it’s just a little little bit more than the small size. The burger is also pretty tasty and they have great different combinations.

All vegan fast food restaurant. This is my 2nd time eating here and they always have good service and use quality ingredients. The workers are always kind and don't mind explaining their dishes. I ordered a Signature burger and a Beyond Fire burger (shown in pics) this time which definitely lives up to it's name! This burger brings the heat! Both were enjoyable and filling! Definitely will come back again. Orders are made through a self-serve kiosk, seen right as you walk in. It takes a few mins to get your order but the wait is worth it because everything is made to order and fresh! They have all the classics of a regular fast food restaurant but in a vegan option. The honey truffle chicken burger tastes just like chicken and you wouldn't believe it was vegan! Cost seems pretty reasonable for the quality.

This place was a very pleasant surprise to us. We had never heard or been here, just happened upon it. All the food is vegan, but you would not know it. All the comforts of your normal fast food restaurant. Shakes, all types of burgers, fries, bacon, chicken sandwiches, a full menu, along with beers, seating, and clean bathrooms. The food is made on demand so it is always fresh and hot and not bad prices. The employees were really nice and seemed proud to explain their food options. Great place, multiple locations, we will be back

Loved the efficient order system! The store was super clean, we were the only ones there which made for a quieter vibe. The food was alright, the fries were very well seasoned! I’m not sure I would return given the product for the price. Burnside can be lovely, however eating beside a constant rush of traffic, unfortunately tarnished my experience. That being said, just because it didn’t do it for me, I can understand that some people might love NextLevel :) It’s a great introduction for those interested in trying plant based meals!

Food is great and the staff are super chill. Pictured here are the blue bbq burger, the chilichz fries, and some shakes. I personally would not order a pb cup shake again as the chocolate pieces are pretty big and get really cold and stuck in the straw. Otherwise I always have a great experience! My personal favorite burgers are probably the pubchz and the chipotle burger. So glad they opened this location on Burnside! Edit: have returned and had an amazing experience. No complaints.

PDX’s newest Next Level locale. Easy parking and full Portland experience, window watching. I will say the service is slow in general, regardless of time of day, but the food is so worth it. As a creature of habit, my go-to is the Signature burger, always. Their rewards program makes it easy to save, earn, redeem, although the app and kiosk ordering are pretty dismal from an ease standpoint, they don’t always connect, communicate. But please, try plant based, and do it here, less guilt over “fast food” and added bonus- organic, for the most part. Their kids meals are an honest, filling value- highly recommend.

This place got me hooked. Our visit to Portland unearthed a few hidden vegan spots, but they weren't always accessible because of their weird hours and frequent closures. This place popped up on our Google search while we were looking for a reliable place to eat on our way back for the Japanese garden and we decided to check it out. The location was clean, employees were welcoming and the food was so good we made sure stop by a second time before we left the city. We tried the American Burger, chili cheese fries, Buffalo wings, onion rings, hot chicken sandwich, the cookies and cream shake and peanutbutter cup shake(which i 😍 ).The food was non greasy, actually looked similar to the menu photos and tasted great! Even my carnivorous friend gave it a thumbs up on the wings. Wish they had more locations!

Absolutely loved this place. Im not big on vegan food but i am for non gmo. I'll give anything a try thats healthy.So if toure for vegan than this is the place. From brugers to sales to shakes. Heard about this non dairy milkshake and had to try it. Had the strawberry and peanut butter shakes. Delicious. From entry to leaving we were greeted well. Next Level is def that. Next level of food!

Honestly I LOVE this NLB more than any other location. They're right by Providence Park, so I can roll in and enjoy food before a Timbers or Thorns game. And fill up on REALLY delicious not greasy food. Now if you've never had NLB, their onion rings are HANDS DOWN my favorite. They're crispy and fried to perfection. Not greasy like some end up floppy and disgusting because they're covered in grease. I love the original patty if I get a burger, which is usually me since I don't like fried food. But I tried the limited edish Steak sandwich which had Meati steak on it and HOT DANG wowsa. I love that you can indulge that fast food craving without leaving feeling sick or heavy or gross. NLB has sweet employees and they're always helpful and kind at this location. It's a drive for us but worth it because the Lake O location is inconsistent.

I'm not a vegan or even vegetarian. My wife is. Every once in a while we will find a vegan place to eat at. Normally it is hard for me to find anything really satisfying for the carnivore in me. Today was different. Three of us went and all ordered a different Chkn sandwich. I was blown away. Everything they say about the quality of the food is spot on. I couldn't believe it wasn't chicken. The patty was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Sweet potato fries were pretty good too. The bag I got was stuffed and was enough for the three of us to share. We all agreed we'd be back soon.

Awesome gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options. My new favorite place to grab a gluten free and vegetarian burger. They have thin burger patty options (I'm tired of the thick veggie burgers) and a gluten free bun doesn't fall apart. You all rock, thank you. I'll be back!

I am going to keep it short. I stopped by for lunch here and I had the best vegetarian burger of my life, which means a lot because i've been a vegetarian for most of my life. it was so good I think I am ready to die--I have seen everything now.

Get their mushroom quinoa burger! I'd never tried this place so I asked the guy at the front for some guidance. He recommended all his favorites.. GF burger with pepperjack chz and extra lettuce and tomato. With a cookies and cream shake and a raspberry kombucca. It was a great lunch!!

Was soo excited to try this place after realizing it was completely vegan and pretty close to us. I tried the Maverick Pub Burger with sweet potatoes fries and a cookie and cream shake. All the food was good but DEFINITELY nothing special for the price you pay!!! We probably spent just about $50 for the two of us, $10 just coming from a 'large' side of fries (not large at all). Shake was just ok. I mixed the soy and coconut base and didn't love the coconut taste with the cookies and cream flavor. Will not be coming back unless the prices become reasonable.

Delicious vegan burgers for your junk food fix!! It was super convenient to order online, and my order was ready a few minutes ahead of schedule. The cashier who gave me the food gave me a free house special sauce when I asked about it. :) I chose the chick'n ranch bacon sandwich which was delicious!! We all know vegan cheese isn't the same, but the gouda on the sandwich was nice. It all came together very well. I also enjoyed the tots AND a coconut based cookies & cream milkshake!! I LOVE milkshakes and don't find vegan ones often, so excuse the excitement!!!! Lol Love that even though they sell the beyond meats / processed faux meats, they also have 2 different house made patties when you want a healthier option, and things like sprouted grain buns (their sprouted bun is delicious, btw). Happy to see that! This location is in a sketchy area, but that's Portland!

I found my vegan burger fix! This is a great burger, shakes, fried and salad go-to if you want all vegan. Super nice and informative staff. Spotless store and dining area. They've got a parking lot too which was a relief bc parking is tough in this area. I ordered an American cheeseburger with smoked Gouda and vegan bacon and it was delicious. My family ordered a pub cheese burger and I had to convince them that it was not real beef! Super satisfying burgers. I'd have onion added onto mine next time (I love onion). I'm not crazy about their house sauce (it's got a kick) so next time I'll get a mayo, mustard and catsup combo. I ordered the entree size of the spicy SW salad for us to split. The salad was just ok. The onion rings on the other hand were a winner! My overall experience was 5 stars. They've got a big menu so lots more of burgers to try.

One of the things I've always loved about Portland is the relative lack of the big name fast food joints in the inner city. You know the ones. Next Level Burger is kind of like one of those fast food joints... But they're doing things a little bit differently: they are 100% vegan. And for me that means I'm happy to see them around the city! This newest location on W Burnside is pretty fancy. It has a parking lot - a big deal for this area. It has multiple ways of ordering - regular counter ordering, a walk up window outside, or contactless digital ordering inside. It has a small amount of indoor and outdoor seating. (No drive-through though.) NLB's menu options include burgers, 'chicken' sandwiches, milkshakes, and they've got all sorts of fries too. They've got different kinds of meat replacements, from mushroom-based to black bean to chik'n to fish-less filets to Beyond Burgers. Whatever you go with, you'd be hard pressed to claim it doesn't taste the same as meat options, or better. If you don't know what to order, ask the friendly staff - they know their menu inside and out and can make a recommendation. Customer service here is above and beyond any other fast food joint.

The food is really great and I want to give 5 stars, the only issue I have is the inconsistency of the bed of lettuce to replace the bun. Sometimes is a reasonable amount of lettuce and sometimes its just one peace of lettuce, the last time we went they gave us just one piece of lettuce and put very little cheese sauce on the pub fries. The Tempe wouldn't stick. Like I said the food is really good I just thing more consistency would be nice.

I love NLB, especially their shakes. The guy working was friendly and service was quick and efficient. The place is completely boarded up and I wasn't sure that they were even open, but they were. The onslaught of vandalism currently sucks. Lunch was delicious, as always.

Let me start by saying I am not vegan, but this place is amazing and so good!!!! I have never felt so good and satisfied, this was the most amazing experience ever !!!!

I even got my meat loving husband to eat here twice in a week. The only complaint I have is that there was no place to recycle the glass bottle from my lemonade. Next visit, I'll leave my bottle on the front counter. But, wow! This food is amazing!!

This place makes the best damn vegan burgers. Always on point. So thankful to have this place near me. Also, always getting hooked up by using the app!!! Last week I got a $6 credit so fries were basically free.

Great staff. I like that they make their burgers out of actual ingredients and not impossible etc The coleslaw was great. Overall it was fine but nothing I'll seek out again. I've had other vegan burgers I like better.

Came for National Burger Day! I always appreciate a place where I can actually get a burger for it as I can't eat beef. All the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The Signature Burger is my go-to, as I love the flavors and also don't really like fake meat burgers. They do forever have Beyond Burgers for folks who like those. The textures and flavors of the Signature Burger are perfect, and I love the creaminess of the avocado. They also have a solid tap list and lots of space which is pretty chill. Great spot for all the veggie burger lovers.

We went to the opening day of the Burnside Next Level Burger. No lines and the staff spoke about some of the favorite menu options since it was our first time. There was a massive vegan cake shaped like a burger which was used in our milk shake and it was delicious. You can choose soy, coconut or half and half for your milkshake. Everything was amazing and my husband was impressed. We had the Maverick, Crispy Chicken and Beerchz fries. We will come back to cross off more items on the menu. One of our fave plant based burger joints right now!

I went to the one on Hawthorne, which was absolutely amazing so I decided to double back and went to the one on Burnside on Apple Maps. It clearly states that they close at 10 PM and I arrived at 9:28 PM and they had closed the doors and not let me in. I am now seeing on yelp that they close at 9 PM but if that is the case they need to update everywhere giving two stars for the misinformation

Not sure what is going on with NLB but there is not a consistent level of quality with the food nor the experience. The app says you get two sauces with the chicken basket but only allows you to chose one. There was no ketchup included and I asked for a fork no napkins but I got....you guessed it napkins. The fries were horrifying soggy limp overcooked grease bombs. The employees should be ashamed to even hand me a meal with so little care given to its quality and appearance.

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a burger and fries. It was one of my favorite joints back home and here didn't disappoint either

Enjoyed the food it was pretty good. Loved all the variety of options. But I was surprised that this counted as a "large" fry that they're selling for $7. What does the small looks like? I know costs are up, but the price to fry ratio makes it unlikely for me to eat here again.

Stopped in for a dinner on a Saturday night. Pretty dead inside, despite a busy soccer game happening just a block away. Was blown away by the number of options, too many, I'd say. Usually, in situations like this I assume that if you have that many things on the menu you can't do anything good. I got a seasonal milkshake, blackberry lemon cheesecake. But honestly I couldn't taste anything but the blackberry. Could have easily been duped on this one. I did appreciate that you could choose whether or not you wanted it to be coconut or soy based or a mixture. I got a burger that was only supposed to have avocado, cheese and sauce on it, so I added lettuce and tomato and I'm glad I did or it would have been completely empty feeling. Overall, the food was fine just pretty disappointing for her but I thought it would be and the price

The **new and improved** crispy chicken fillets are truly improved-- like so good that I had to come here and write this review. One of the best vegan chicken sandwiches I've ever had!!

Meat eaters review: I didn't realize this was a vegan place until the food came and everything looked off. Not satisfying. Tastes weird. Totally bummed. Wasted $49

So delicious but pricey. Ten dollar sweet potato fries. Ouch. High prices aside, my favorite items are the crispy chicken burgers, Cobb salad w added chicken and as mentioned above sweet potato fries. I also like their shakes.

New location on the westside, saves driving across the river. Decent vegan burgers, brats, fries and shakes. Quantity is less, pricing is high: 1 burger + small shake costs $17 without tip. Seems like you pay for customer service.

On Fourth of July a girlfriend and I went to get some vegan hotdogs to celebrate the holiday. Next level burger was operating on short staff. We ended up having not the greatest experience with a long wait time and the food presentation was not very desirable. The owner reached out to me and apologized for my experience and gave me $100 gift card. It was very generous of them as I look forward to my next experience there as they are constantly making improvements.

Awesome burger, shake and onion rings! And all plant-based, who knew? The Rocky Mountain Burger was fantastic, and the peanut butter cup shake is to die for! Great service and loved the vibe. I will be back for sure!

Burgers were yum and milkshakes were yum too. Don't underestimate a plant-based restaurant.

Craving a burger while downtown, so literally googled the closest burger place too me and ended up here. I ordered all my food then when I was waiting I realized it was a plant based burger place. Not gonna lie, I was a bit bummed. However when the food came it blew me away. These vegans might be on to something. It's weird gorging yourself on a burger and fries and not feeling like the bottom of a trash can later. My only complaint is that the ordering kiosk crashed on me right before I paid.

Great tasting vegan food, lots of convenient locations. There was a problem with our order and they worked quickly to resolve. Will eat here again!

Stopped in while having my car serviced nearby. The establishment is clean and there are both indoor and outdoor seating options. They offer burgers, fries and shakes. There are a variety of customization options you can chose from -- they have loaded fries! Good lunch spot with a friendly staff.

At 1 pm on a rainy Friday, my husband and I walked in to a super clean place that probably holds 30 and were only 6 of us inside. Friendly, helpful staff wore masks which we liked. I was super happy with my Signature cheeseburger (quinoa/mushroom patty), and he was equally satisfied with his Fire Cheeseburger (beefy patty made with soy protein).....and yes the sauce was spicy! When we asked if fries were frozen (yes), we ordered tater tots (also frozen, but yummy). Most everything is vegan and organic. It's open 7 days a week and we will definitely be back!

Always make it a point to stop by next level burger. Had a ruff business trip & was starving. Due to dietary restrictions I was not hopeful in finding a late night meal that was healthy enough to eat. Spicy chicken (veggie) sandwich with organic sweet potato fries and a mint chocolate shake made the hotel stay an amazing end to a hectic day.

Not even vegan but lactose intolerant and it's so nice having somewhere in the neighborhood to get ice cream!! I got the chocolate mint shake with soy and coconut milk and together it tasted so creamy and just like ice cream. Will definitely be going back again

AMAZING things to say about this place. First gotta give a shout-out to Tone, who provided top notch customer service & care. Highly recommend y'all drop by and say hi. Second, the food is unbelievably good. It's 100% plant based, and to be honest tastes SO much better than your average $15 meat burger. The milkshakes are also killer and so are the sweet potato fries. And don't forget the sauce!!

I really love their food for a plant bass food the burgers are Really good and so are there hotdogs everything is good I really enjoyed them

milkshakes were good, burgers were mid and too small plus they forgot the pickles. the fries were NOT large that was most definitely a small and we were lied to.
