We ordered the beef pho (soupe tonkinoise). The beef balls were exceptionally soft and tasted homemade, which I really appreciated and felt set this restaurant apart from others in the area. The broth was flavorful and hot, though not significantly different from that of other nearby pho restaurants such as Pho 14 or Le Kok. The side dishes (bean sprouts and vegg) were somewhat limited, and the pho was €2 more expensive than at comparable places, which feels a bit high.
The seating, however, was quite uncomfortable. We were placed on very small benches. Aside from this, the service was great, the staff were friendly, and being able to watch the food prepared in front of us created a very welcoming atmosphere. The noodles, on the other hand, were chewy and delicious.
We also ordered the sugarcane juice (canne à sucre) and the iced coffee. I would definitely recommend the sugarcane drink, it was very refreshing and the sugarcane is from Vietnam. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the viet iced coffee. Although it had a pleasant nutty flavor, it was significantly overpriced at €7.50.
