"On the banks of Thien Quang Lake, this restaurant, reminiscent of an Indochinese-style villa, boasts a patio surrounded by lush greenery. The menu features specialities from all over Vietnam, alongside Asian delicacies of Chinese and Thai origins. From the century-old Bat Dan phở recipe from Hanoi and bún bò huế grilled beef from Nha Trang to fresh veggies from Dalat and live seafood from all over the world, every dish is deftly crafted and delicately seasoned." - Michelin Inspector

This outdoor restaurant was decorated for Christmas with stunning lights and ambiance. The food was delicious; we tried octopus, prawns, and other Viatnemese dishes. Highly recommend, especially for a group dinner. The service was excellent and very attentive.

Good restaurant with traditional Vietnamese cuisine from different places of Vietnam. The dishes were well cooked and were served very quickly. The service was professional and fast. The atmosphere outside at the garden had a nice traditional Vietnamese decor. Recommended for a nice and tasty dinner but due to the high demand a reservation is needed.

Definitely a great place to go to. This restaurant can accommodate multiple functions, with private rooms upstairs, the open garden dining area also well decorated and spacious. They offering dishes from many regions of Vietnam, the quality and presentation are stunning.

Ngo Garden truly shines with its prime location and five-star decor, creating an ideal ambiance for relaxing with clients, friends, or family. It's definitely a place where you'll find yourself snapping plenty of photos, capturing both the beautiful surroundings and the artfully presented dishes. As for the food, I'd say everything was above average. The steamed fish was particularly noteworthy, with its sauce being a perfect complement to vermicelli. Don't miss the clams with their special sauce, which are an excellent pairing with bread. And for meat lovers, the lamb was wonderfully tender and juicy.

We visited the restaurant for during a lunch time. I ordered Bun Rieu Cua while my partner chose Bun Cha. The dishes was rather basic and expensive relative to their contents, size, and taste. The soup was very small and barely had any crab. The soup wasn't very flavourful and it was overly sour. I've tried much better crab soups in the past. My partner eats bun cha often and it was also quite average to her. The portion sizes was small too. We had to eat in a local cafe to top up our calories afterwards. It took about 7-8 minutes for my soup to be ready but we had to wait for about 15 minutes to get bun cha which was a bit stretched. Overall the service was OK. The tables and their surroundings were tidy but the restrooms needed more care. I could barely breath when I went in as someone finished smoking a cig.

Mixed experience overall. The food wasn’t too bad and the vibe is lively and local. Service is super slow, we waited 30 minutes just for menus, and dishes arrived super late. Understaffed for the crowd, so it’s not ideal if you’re all about quick, quality-focused bites but just to enjoy local vibe then give it a try.

Our fanciest meal in Hanoi. A beautiful and large restaurant by the lake. We ordered a combo of dishes. Good presentation and decent tasting overall. Service was OK.
