Ngopi Birmingham

We had a wonderful experience there, even if we had trouble finding the place as it's above the glolf place ⛳ The staff is very kind and professional, and the food was served quickly and hot. We were not disturbed by the noise from the golf courts (at 2pm on a weekend), and the music was not loud enough to trouble a conversation. And the light and decor are perfect for the intimate atmosphere 😙.

I've been a fan of Ngopi since their original location, and was genuinely sad when they had to close. So discovering their new spot was a happy surprise — we couldn’t wait to check it out. The food is still as delicious as ever; however, the addition of virtual golf brings quite a bit of noise, especially the sharp thwack of the driver hitting the ball, which can be a bit disruptive. For now, I might stick to takeaway so I can still enjoy their great food in a quieter setting.

Never been to the old one checked out the food in the new venue today and the food was extremely good. Had the beef rib special which was tender and sweet fall off the bone meat. Need to come back to try the chicken. Would say the indoor setting is more suited to the vibe of the golf venue it’s attached to. Think they should try to go for a more restaurant / Indonesian cafe vibe if possible as it’s a bit dark and more of a bar atmosphere inside.

Such a relief find place where I could get Indonesian food and coffee plus meet with any other Indonesian people in Birmingham. Food and coffee was delicious. Definitely recommendation place to visit in Birmingham !

The food here is lovely. The green chilli sambal is spicy enough to leave a stinging sensation on your tongue while also letting you enjoy the crispy chicken. The mince pancakes are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The dipping sauce is sweet and savoury. The atmosphere is slightly loud at it shares space with the golf place. This was a bit different than what I thought the place was like but it's still a nice spot to eat and drink with friends and family

My friend & I always end up at Ngopi once a week! It’s the perfect environment to sit and talk for hours. The food and drinks are also very delicious.

Ngopi Coffee was a lovely brunch spot to catch up with friends. We ordered a grilled cheese, scrambled eggs on toast, and Indonesian fried rice, with a Kaya toast to share. The flavors were well-balanced, and everything tasted freshly made. The toast was sourdough, which I don’t usually go for, but it was surprisingly delicious—crispy on the outside and soft inside, complementing the creamy scrambled eggs perfectly. The Indonesian fried rice had just the right amount of spice and was packed with flavor. The atmosphere was quiet when we arrived around 10:30 AM, making it a relaxing place to enjoy our meal. By noon, the café had filled up, creating a lively and bustling vibe without feeling overcrowded. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming experience. The only thing I would say is the table legs can get in the way sometimes, and the food comes out one by one instead of altogether, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. Ngopi Coffee is definitely a spot worth visiting, whether you’re after a peaceful morning coffee or a flavorful brunch with friends. Highly recommend!

It has moved into the golf place. It is not well indicated and it’s just a few tables upstairs. The food stays great, offering a variety of options; light meals, desserts, mains, vegan. The service is quick and staff is friendly.Price are reasonable. Overall I am glad it still exists in Birmingham but it feels strange to be sharing it with a golf place.
