"The owner couple strives to replicate the authentic taste of Northern Vietnam for their Hanoian audience. Unlike the sweet flavours cherished in other parts of Vietnam, here they emphasise umami and saltiness. Chả ốc is one of the most popular dishes. The pork sausage with periwinkle snails is perfumed with herbs and fried until crispy. The pork is juicy and bouncy in texture. Gà xáo gừng is chicken cooked in turmeric and ginger. Simply irresistible." - Michelin Inspector

Authentic home-cooked Vietnamese vibe! Super clean and cozy. Just a little less sweet in the dishes would make them perfect. Hope they stay open for ages!

One of the Michelin recommended restaurants that was not good or mediocre at best. I had several dishes and they were all nothing special or worth mentioning. The staffs were not so attentive and they brought us dessert before bringing one of the main dishes.

One of the best meals I've had in 2.5 years of being in Vietnam. I ordered the Thit kho trung and chayote stems. I've never had belly pork so jiggly and where the layer of fat literally melts away in your mouth. The pork was incredibly tender and flavourful and the quail eggs were creamy and rich. The chayote stems were nicely stir fried and very garlicy. All finished off with a plate of fruit. Cost for the meal and 2 sodas 255k. I couldn't as for better food

Thank you for the wonderful foods. Those dishes reminded of childhood’s at family dinner. Very authentic Vietnamese foods. Good chefs and calm atmosphere.

Exceptional flavors, outstanding service (Vietnamese & English friendly), and modern atmosphere. Reservations are recommended, and they accept credit cards. I walked 45 minutes to burn off calories for this amazing calorie splurge meal on my cheat day. This restaurant came highly recommended by local Hanoi vloggers, and I chose it over Nhà Hàng Tầm Vị. They have set menus, and I ordered al a carte as I wanted to re-capture the taste of my mother's top dishes. (Don't tell mom, but it was better than her cooking.) The braised pork belly served with quail eggs was melt in your mouth. The mustard pickle green side dish was the right amount of salty and crunchy. The fried tofu with green onion also had a special taste as they must have marinated it before frying to delicate crispiness. It is a deceptively simple dish that requires a high level of technical skill to get right. If you come, don't miss out on the dracontomelon juice if you like sweet and tart flavors. My travel partner said it is reminiscent of umeshu or li hing mui. The servers also brought out a complimentary dessert of fresh guava, watermelon, and chili salt. Most memorable meal of my trip! Don't hesitate to book a reservation if you're seeking delicious home flavors in an elevated experience or a way to sate that nostalgic feeling.

Good traditional Vietnamese food. Seems clean. The restaurant can use stronger A/C. Can get hot, even with all the standup fans around.

Best finding of 2023. Delicious food in Hanoi style, similar to my home dinner at weekends. Moreover, the service is great, nice and caring. And the cost is another plus point. A potential choice to introduce Vietnamese food to foreign friends.
