Exceptional flavors, outstanding service (Vietnamese & English friendly), and modern atmosphere. Reservations are recommended, and they accept credit cards. I walked 45 minutes to burn off calories for this amazing calorie splurge meal on my cheat day. This restaurant came highly recommended by local Hanoi vloggers, and I chose it over Nhà Hàng Tầm Vị. They have set menus, and I ordered al a carte as I wanted to re-capture the taste of my mother's top dishes. (Don't tell mom, but it was better than her cooking.) The braised pork belly served with quail eggs was melt in your mouth. The mustard pickle green side dish was the right amount of salty and crunchy. The fried tofu with green onion also had a special taste as they must have marinated it before frying to delicate crispiness. It is a deceptively simple dish that requires a high level of technical skill to get right. If you come, don't miss out on the dracontomelon juice if you like sweet and tart flavors. My travel partner said it is reminiscent of umeshu or li hing mui. The servers also brought out a complimentary dessert of fresh guava, watermelon, and chili salt. Most memorable meal of my trip! Don't hesitate to book a reservation if you're seeking delicious home flavors in an elevated experience or a way to sate that nostalgic feeling.
