NI SHIFU

If you haven't try sichuan food, you need to go and try. It must be one of the best chinese restaurant in Belgium. Sichuan food is famous for spicy taste, but there are enough other dishes which you don't have to feel the pain, the next day in the morning. We tried fried eggplant and the signature dish, pork with sichuan peppers. They were both amazing. You need to make a reservation. Even the weekdays, it is full house.

(also posted on Yelp page) omg this restaurant has some delicious Chinese food. They did earn a Michelin bib gourmand and are closed Thursdays. When I walked in for lunch, there was no wait and no reservation needed. The one thing I did not enjoy was the cleanliness. I felt uncomfortable sitting next to the dying plants by the window, which attracted all sorts of bugs. I felt like the table had dirt from the plants and needed to be actually wiped down with soap and water. The floor needed to be scrubbed; the chairs had crumbs from previous patrons. Once the food arrived though, I forgot about this. There is a guy solo running the front. He took orders, brought out all dishes, and received payment at the counter. He asked where we were from because we spoke a bit of Mandarin. Cumin lamb was fried and very fragrant. Wontons in chili oil were big and juicy but could have been spicier. Sauteed cabbage was good - the only dish we got that wasn't spicy. Water boiled fish was numbing but could have used more flavor. It was just amazing to have white rice instead of potatoes for once in Belgium!! Credit card accepted. No American Express.

What a wonderful and authentic Chinese restaurant. Food is so delicious and tasty. We didn’t make reservation and luckily got a table on a weekday night. We loved every dish we ordered. This is an absolutely great quality and good value restaurant.

Food is amazing. We oder pork belly, stir fried shrimp and eggplant. Pork belly which is marinated with garlic and sichuan oil is so delicious, you can taste the mild sweet and fattiness of pork belly. Stir fried shimp is coated with salted duck egg that enhance the flavour of the shrimp. The deep fried eggplant with sweet and sour is a delicious surprise for us because we cant find in other sichuan places in Europe. Service is fast.

Delightful service. Delicious food. Atmosphere is nice, but a bit small. Don't blame them for it. I've tried so many dishes here by now, and loved pretty much everything. Really recommend the hot pot. They have a lot of very nice non-spicy dishes, but the spicy stuff is where this place really shines. Would definitely recommend this place. They deserve their star.

Loveeeee to eat here for family lunch and dinner, very well deserved Michelin awards. Food are always delicious and served fresh. The overall vibe is legit and homey. The one-man standing waiter is very friendly and quick witted in serving the guests. Friendly tip to always make reservation, especially for dinner time.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Antwerp, a lot of choices for meat/seafood or tofu lovers, the spice is ok for me but a bit too salty. Better call to make reservations because the seats are very limited at dinner time since they are popular.
