Marriott Fallsview | Best places to stay in Niagara Falls

"No other hotel can match the pure wow-factor here, from the wall of windows in the soaring lobby to the floor-to-ceiling views in the sunny, spacious bedrooms. That’s because the Marriott Fallsview has snatched a prime location on the sharp incline over the Niagara River. If you’ve only got one night in town, this place is like an all-access pass, with those eponymous Falls views from every angle and a dedicated bridge to shepherd you down to the water’s edge (a funicular, for a small fee, gets you back). Clean, functional rooms are modern, immaculate and replete with toiletries – but fall short of chic. Here, the view is the thing. Before booking, make sure yours has the Falls in the frame – some rooms face downriver instead. " - Ellen Himmelfarb

This 100% is the place to pick when deciding which hotel to stay at in Niagara Falls. We stayed for NYE and the second I walked into the room my jaw dropped. The most beautiful view of the falls! We watched the NYE fireworks from our room and it is a moment we will remember. The beds are the best and the linens are great quality. The room is entirely updated. I also took some time to go to the Nordik spa that is attached and it was amazing. Thank you to all the staff (spa and hotel) for being kind, flexible and making our stay so special. These pictures sum it up ❤️💕 Huge thank you to Lisa at the front desk for making this all happen.

Great stay. All rooms have a great view of the falls and are spacious. Had an issue with the iron and the reception sent someone right away with a new one. The housekeeper came to make the room at 9:30am and we told her it’s not needed as we were still sleeping. Didn’t expect her to come again, but she did while we were out. This was a nice surprise since most hotels don’t offer housekeeping anymore. Location is ideal. Close to the falls, restaurants and attractions.

Indeed this the THE hotel with the best view of the falls. I enjoyed every view of the falls from the window, without the chilling cold and mist of the winter. The whirl pool is wonderful. Other than that the hotel is way over priced than its worth. The parking is 50/night. The breakfast is 45/per person. The hotel room itself is over 700$. The service is not up to standard. The parking crew knowing we'd not do vallet parking, told me the direction of the parking lot around the block, where was a simple minute away. That saved me the tips on the way back. The receptionist was very courteous, despite the surprisingly low effeciency, ignoring the long waiting queue for the check in. In any case, the falls view offsets all and I may probably go back just to enjoy the breathtaking view of the horseshoe view.

We enjoyed the stay but there is room for improvement. There are no microwaves on the floor - only one at the lobby. Makes it very difficult especially for people with babies to warm milk etc. We were told wifi was free but when entering the details it prompted us to pay. The breakfast area had a beautiful view but crockery was dirty and coffee mugs smelled like eggs so we had to get it replaced. Other than these points it was good.

If you only concern about hotel's location - then you are all set. The rest of the experience, unfortunately, didn’t leave the best impression. While the location of the place is wonderful, the hotel itself feels rather dated, dark, and only questionably clean, especially considering the high nightly rate, and nearly everything comes with an extra charge, even self-parking starts at $50 per night, and valet is $70... and then + taxes, taxes, and more taxes. Reaching the Niagara falls also isn’t as straightforward as expected; you either need to pay for the funicular or walk a fairly long distance. Ok food, mediocre coffee, and basic items are noticeably expensive as well. What concerned me the most, and still does, that almost immediately, just as soon as I got my key and enter the room, I received notifications of the unexpected charges on my credit card, especially made on early-morning, while I still slept, charges that appeared on my credit card around 5 a.m. When I asked the front desk, I was told it was “not a big deal,” and that the hotel “automatically checks whether the card still works.” Why would Marriott charged my cc some random sums, after it already got full charge for the whole stay? No clear explanation was offered. Desk agent reassured me these were only pending authorizations and would disappear after checkout. And yet, several days after I left hotel the charges were still there. Overall, it’s not a terrible stay, but for the price, I expected a much better experience and greater transparency. My recommendation; if you are planning to spent your time sitting in the room, then maybe you should bite the bullet and pay per night about $350US+parking. If you are there to enjoy the scenery and be outside, it would be prudent to find a cheaper place to sleep/stay and just drive around.

The front desk staff had an poor attitude, worse than restaurant servers or even bus drivers. Although the hotel is known for its waterfall views, the room windows were visibly dirty. The shower leaked water outside even when the door was closed. We requested a heater, but the one delivered had a broken lid that could not be closed. We booked a four-person room, yet there were only two glass cups provided, and if you needed additional cups, they charged NT$5 each. If you only want to enjoy the waterfall scenery, I recommend staying at another hotel and simply visiting the viewing platform during the day.

Really enjoyed my stay here — we were able to see the falls in their entirety. The day we arrived was extremely foggy, which was a bit disappointing, but the next morning was absolutely fantastic and made up for it. The staff and service were brilliant; I could simply ask the front desk for daily necessities like slippers, toothpaste, and other amenities. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re visiting during the colder season and want a comfortable stay with an amazing view of the falls. The only downside I can think of is a slight buzzing sound from the mini-fridge.

Excellent spa and great room (could have been more spacious based on size of the party & price) BUT highway robbery at $50+ for the parking and restaurant (e.g. hidden tourism fees). Two years ago, I went to the spa for my birthday and also to explore the hotel to determine whether it would be good place to host a health retreat event. I had an EXCELLENT experience with exceptional hospitality. The conceirge even sent up a piece of chocolate cake/brownie with bottle of wine. It was so thoughtful and really made me want to come back. The room was spacious, with a day bed overlooking the FALLS. The spa was also AMAZING. This time, it was a milestone birthday for me and my parents' 45th anniversary and while the room was CLEAN it was a tight squeeze. We had to manoevre to get adequate photos for the photoshoot. I kept thinking about my last time and wishing I had that room as there would be more space. Now the parking. This was ridiculous as I thought we would be saving $75 by parking ourselves only to be hit with a $50 parking fee. This is also after being given POOR directions to the place (we spent at least 10-15 minutes tryig to find) and almost falling in the ICE RINK of a parking lot. It was RIDICULOUS!! Imagine my senior dad falling there! Do better!
