Best Restaurants in Johnson City, Texas | Eater Austin

"This bar has top-notch bonafides since it’s from the teams behind fantastic Hill Country winery Lightsome Wines and brewery Yokefellow Brewing. Naturally, the menu includes both beverages, alongside cocktails, spirits, and other beers and wines. Food-wise, there are bar snacks like Frito pies, hot dogs, and queso. Rumor has it an adolescent LBJ sipped “medicinal” wine during the Prohibition at this very site. Nowadays, the century-old building has plenty to entice locals and visitors alike, with two outdoor patios to sip away a breezy day in the Hill Country. Takeout orders can be placed in person; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Darcie Duttweiler

This place is wonderful. Matt the owner is engaged and sets the pace. The vibe is incredible. Everything about this place is something i want in a man or mood cave. The black walnut old fashion is about as anything have ever had in Manhattan. We will be back, thank you!

Fantastic mixed drinks and hot dogs! We usually get the buena medicina cocktail with mezcal and the banh mi dog. Had the painkiller cocktail for dessert this trip. Nice and chill vibes.

This spot is so cool. The owners are local with deep ties to the hill country beer and wine scene. I tried a beer fermented in a cave (wut?!) and my partner had the grasshopper (mint cocktail that I was skeptical about, but it is dang good. Like a mint smoothie). The location is historic - supposedly LBJ used to come here, along with many other local farmers, politicians, cowboys, etc. The food was simple and tasty. We’ll be back!

Braved a brief monsoon to get here from Georgetown, and am I glad I did. Fantastic space, well lit, and very homey. Met Piper and had an amazing time drinking saisons, talking beer, and meeting folks. Everything on the menu is delicious! Try the Lightsome, hot dogs, and cocktails and you will not be disappointed! Lots of bottles from other breweries too! Definitely adding Nice n Easy to the rotation of must visits when I return to the Austin metro area! They've made a friend(beer) out of me!

A fun small town specialty cocktail bar in Johnson City Texas. Whether you want local beer or wine, it's a great spot to stop in. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Johnson City Texas and walking distance from any Bnb. Great low key welcoming staff that is super friendly. We highly recommend Nice N Easy.

Yelp
This place has an excellent selection of high-quality, hard to find wine varieties. The service here is top-notch, and they also serve some casual fare to pair with your wine. Because a Frito Pie and red wine together are "oh so good"! Beer, cider, and liquor are also available as well as cocktails. Some wines you can purchase to take home, either in their bottles, or in the house "packaging."
