Seafood offered in a scenic spot with a fishing lodge feel, plus cozy cottages for overnight stays.
"Swing by this reimagined seafood shack with resort cabins, a separate oyster bar, seating out over Tomales Bay, and an adorably dilapidated vibe (though just renovated in February 2022). With any luck this historic restaurant should be around for a long time, dishing up views and seafood until the cows come home." - Paolo Bicchieri, Gretchen Giles
"The Nick’s Cove team plans to rebuild the historic boat house lost in a fire earlier this week. Fans who want to support the team can plan a visit to the restaurant, book a stay at one of the cottages, or purchase a gift card." - Lauren Saria
"PERFECT FOR: PARENTS IN TOWN || A real restaurant, with real walls and real seats and real wait staff, Nick’s Cove is perfect for impressing your parents, without getting too rustic. Oysters – they have BBQ'd as well as a variety of cooked and raw options – probably won’t be your full meal here, so it's good if you’re just looking for a taste. Nick’s has full lunch and dinner menus, with things like truffled garlic fries, deviled duck eggs, and Dungeness crab… You get the drift. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
"Alongside a complete revamp of the restaurant and the property’s namesake cottages, this popular restaurant is also adjusting its menu to reflect the history and legacy of a property first opened in the 1930s. It is doubtful that chef Kua Speer can ever take Nick’s BBQ’d Oysters off the menu, seeing as they’re featured in the property’s cookbook. Chef doubled down on baked oysters, creating Calabrian salami topped nduja baked oysters with layers of Italian chile heat. After years of counter service, the team is shifting back to a more hands-on service approach, both inside and out." - Christina Mueller
"With wood-burning fireplaces in the rooms, this cozy spot is the ideal home base for exploring the surrounding Point Reyes National Seashore. Five of twelve cottages are on the water—book one if you can. The Nicolina cottage is an adorable recreation of a 1930s vessel, and is tricked out with a soaking tub, and your own private deck." - Ana Kamin, Jenna Scatena
