"For a late-ish casual dinner, check out A Dong Restaurant for “a wonderful Vietnamese refugee family story and restaurant,” and “of course” Nick’s, “an Iowa tenderloin joint.”" - Marguerite Imbert

I like to try pork tenderloins when eating at a new restaurant and this place will not disappoint. Thick and juicy with not to much breading. The mushrooms are huge and awesome, definitely not all breading. The poppers and onion rings are to die for and the home chips aren't to bad either. Will be back again for sure.

The wife and I went here for lunch. We both had the Queen tenderloin (which was plenty - the wife took some home). I had the cheese curds on the side and she had fries. The tenderloins were big and juice with a good flavor. Although, it tasted like the oil used was maybe a little old. The cheese curds had a good flavor and paired well with the side of ranch (mid-westerner). The fries were hot but maybe slightly underdone. I'm being very picky. We would go back and try it again.

The food here is excellent and very affordable! I had the queen tenderloin topped with marinara and mozzarella with a side of fries. My coworker got the absolutely huge poppers. It was so good! I'll definitely be dining there again.

There's a reason Nick's is known for the best tenderloin in Iowa. Get the Queen if you're by yourself or get the King Bacon and Swiss to share with a hungry friend. Cheese curds or onion rings are a must as well. Enjoy!

I was craving an authentic grinder from my youth. It was ok. It came in a little short of flavor. The sauce was not robust nor was it that heavy burgundy color that showed it was simmered for hours, I didn't see the fennel seeds nor was there a beef mixture as it tasted solely lik sausage alone, however, the product size was great for the price.

Great thick cut fresh Tenderloins! Bring your appetite if you order the King size. And if you like big Onion rings you will love these, they are huge! The picture is the Chili cheese loin.
