"The charred, thin-crust pies at this neighborhood spot in Forest Hills are big, but even with oily pepperoni cups that cover about 80% of the surface, the pizzas are light snacks compared to the calzones. "Movie Pairing:Rock ‘n’ Roll High School (Hulu) “They do not make movies like Rock ‘n’ Roll High School anymore. I know this for a fact, because The Ramones no longer make appearances in generic teen comedies. The plot here is simple: a strict new principal shows up at Vince Lombardi High School, and it’s up to self-described “rock and roller” high school student Riff Randel to save the day. Joey Ramone serenades her with “I Want You Around” at one point, and, even though it’s a fantasy sequence, it’s still kind of creepy - but let’s not dwell on that. I very much think you should watch this movie while eating some food from Forest Hills, the neighborhood where the Ramones grew up. "Nick’s Pizza is somewhere you should eat at least once, and if you’re seeing a show at Forest Hills Stadium, you don’t really have an excuse to not come here. It’s pretty much an ideal neighborhood pizza parlor with vinyl booths, black-and-white photos on the walls, and some very good pizza with crispy crust and fresh mozzarella. "We can easily envision a lifetime movie that ends with a touching scene of a father-daughter duo sharing a pepperoni pie at Nick’s Pizza in Forest Hills. We’d see them sitting in a blue booth with a formica table, while a wall clock ticks to signify the passage of time. Let these fictional characters be an example to you and all of your family members.
