"Located in a fancy outdoor mall straight out of a Williams Sonoma catalog, Nick’s has all the ingredients to be yet another corporate lunch/brunch wasteland. But it’s not. And it’s because the crowd-pleasing American comfort food menu—think seared ahi salad, cioppino, and fried chicken plats—is pretty delicious, with great service and an even better patio to boot. It’s not a complicated formula, but this all-day downtown restaurant has it figured it out." - Brant Cox

Went into Nick’s after the St Pat’s Parade yesterday so a few of us could use our Pub Pass for a beer. We ordered a meal, apps, and additional beers on top of the beers we ordered for the pass. When we asked for the tab, the waitress told us since we used the Pub Pass, we got an additional beer because it was BOGO. Maybe it was my misunderstanding because there were countless other specials going on for St Pat’s, but when I clarified I was using my Pub Pass and already had our free beer, she assured us we could still get another one. I thought it odd, but again, assumed it was some special for the day. When she brought out the last round and the tab, I noticed we were charged for the second round of beers. I asked the manager on duty about it, because I had already clarified with the waitress. The manager said that in order to use the Pub Pass, we had to buy an additional beer. Confused once again, I asked her to clarify because in the two years we’ve had Pub Passes, I’ve never been told I had to buy an additional beer to use the pass. She told me that Nick’s has done the pass for the last four years and that those rules came directly from Pub Pass. She then immediately asked if I was just trying to get “six free beers” and I said that I wasn’t, I was simply trying to understand the bill. She goes “I’ll just give you the other beers for free, since that’s what you’re wanting me to do”. I once again said, “no, I’m not and I’m not trying to be a b*tch, I’m just saying I’ve used this at countless other places and I’ve not had to buy another beer nor did the waitress explain it clearly when she said we could have another one for free” to which she replied “that’s exactly what you’re being” and then backtracked to say she didn’t mean I was being a b*tch. I have no issues paying for the drinks I order, but I do have issues with shady service and rude employees. In reading other reviews before posting this, it seems I’m not the only person both have happened to in recent months. I will not be returning to Nick’s.

Google
Friendly bartenders, fair prices, and great music. FWIW- Disregard the reviews regarding the refusal of service to the 27yo, his ID simply didn’t pass the security checks, and any responsible server knows they can’t serve someone who’s ID doesn’t check out. The bartender was polite and professional.

I attended a birthday party at Nick's (the upstairs may be privately reserved for parties and events-- it has a bar and pool tables for a quieter, more intimate experience if the downstairs is a little rowdy for you!), and it was a ton of fun! I paid $5 for a very generous mixed drink (gin and lime with soda), there was a large variety of beers on tap, and many bathrooms with fast moving lines! The staff is cool, collected, and very patient (be sure to generously tip, it gets super loud and crowded at Nick's!), and karaoke night is a ton of fun, with active participation from the singers and the crowd! My one criticism would be the arrangement of the furniture downstairs is absolutely atrocious (too much furniture in a too packed space, the bar tenders have to spend a lot of time moving said furniture out of walkways). If you have a problem with having your personal space entered by a lot of passersby, Nick's may not be for you. Altogether I would recommend Nick's for a fun college atmosphere, frugally priced drinks, and camaraderie if you enjoy watching the Blues get thrashed with fellow exasperated fans on the fantastic full wall panel TV! Definitely tip the staff well if you pass through, I am not kidding when I say it gets extremely loud and chaotic during the rush-- in a good way, but be aware!

Been going to Nick's for years. I was a big fan of their old food menu. There's a new owner and new smaller menu. Although it's still a solid place to grab lunch and/or a few drinks.

Google
Has to be one of the best hole in the wall bars in STL (that has become very popular over the years). You can go there to drink and listen to the live music, with a massive beer selection and Great Wall of hard liquor. But I definitely recommend the food, it is crazy good for the price! Pizza, burgers, wraps, you name it and I guarantee it’ll taste better than what you’d expect from a “whole in the wall”.

Google
Food is always delicious and staff are always very nice and down to earth. I live out of town and come to St. Louis for work multiple times a week. Never went out here or got any drinks I was strictly getting food before I left town as my work is very close. Surprised to see a bunch of bad reviews. It’s a dive bar that has good food lol seems like a lot of these people are looking for Ferraris at a ford dealership.

Google
Beer selection is outstanding!! Goods pretty decent and not to expensive. Service was great. But its freaking dark in there! Couldnt even see the floor on my way to the bathroom. Besides it being to dark the staff was great and they have a hell of a draft lineup!! Ill be back for sure. Might take a flashlight though. 😜

Google
Pretty bad, to be honest. Spent 70 bucks and had to stop for fast food on the way home because the food at Nick's was barely edible. Fries tasted like fish (think they use the same fryer for everything) and the sandwich was too dry to even try to choke down. Really should have asked to be refunded. Waiter didn't seem to be phased that he took plates with barely a bite out of them. Got the feeling that happens a lot there.

Yelp
The food was good, and the service was freindly. The prices were terrific. We ordered from the lunch menu and had plenty to eat. Lillie was an excellent bartender/server, who made us feel right at home. This was an Irish pub, but the food and staff make it worth a repeat visit. The value was another plus!

Yelp
If you have the 2025 Pub Pass, you are limited to 3 beers even though there are 100+ on the menu. Bud Light, Bud Select, and Kona. Most of the food listed on the Pub Pass page is also not served anymore. It sounds like they've changed management or ownership recently. The waitress that served us was fantastic, but the bathrooms are questionable at best with weirdly large, brand new advertising screens. One toilet even had a trash bag over the tank of it where it was cracked. Bring a flashlight or your cell phone if you want to see the menu. Update in reply to the owner's comment: We were literally there last night, so the toilet was fixed overnight?? You should probably tell whoever was working the bar that it is 30 beers, because they informed us it was only 3 - bud light, bud select, and Kona. After seeing the Teddy's poppers on your website, I was actually looking forward to trying them, but the kitchen just so happened to be out of them. Hmm

Yelp
Nick's Pub is a decent spot for a casual night out, but nothing that particularly stands out. I visited on a Friday night and was surprised by the $5 cover charge, which felt a bit unnecessary for what the place offers. That said, the pub does have a good layout. The spacious upstairs area features a pool table and a TouchTunes machine, which is nice for a laid-back vibe. Downstairs, they had karaoke going, which added some energy to the night. Shoutout to Jackie, the bartender--she was super friendly and incredibly fast, even with a full bar. Overall, it's a solid option if you're in the area, but the cover charge might make you think twice if you're just looking for a casual drink.

Yelp
Ordered take out and it said ready in 10 but took about 25 minutes. No sweat as I can't believe a fresh meal could be whipped up in that time. I got the blackened mahi sandwich with chips. Sandwich was good and the lime mayo on it was amazing. The chips were super salty but I still was able to eat them. For the price, great portion size and quality was what I expected.

Yelp
I really hate to be leaving a bad review on this place. I have so many great memories here. I'm giving it 2 stars because at least the fries were still good. Although they are an upcharge with burgers now. New ownership is absolutely ruining this place. I'd been coming here since I turned 21. Tonight was the most dead I have ever seen it. Menu was gutted, prices went way up, and food quality has gone way down. This place used to be where you came when you wanted good food at a decent price and you'd stay to drink until all hours of the night. Now it's just another mediocre dark lit bar in south city. It's a damned shame what they did to this place. Burger was painfully bland and when fries are an additional charge 13 dollars is not a reasonable price point for it. For real. Jack in the box does better and that's sad. Also don't ask about substitutions on anything on the new comparatively limited menu or for an iced tea. You're going to get a blunt no from a staff that seems eager to tell you no. If you've been a long time customer and haven't been in a while it's not worth the return. This place isn't what it used to be and unless ownership pulls their head from where it's firmly been placed in their rear end probably never will be again.

Yelp
The food was good. We ordered a stuffed potato appetizer which was very good. We also ordered a double cheeseburger and a southwest chicken wrap, both with fries. The double cheeseburger came with something called "grilled ketchup." I was intrigued as I have never tried that. It was a bit of a disappointment though as it just seemed like it was warmed ketchup. I was hoping for something with more caramelization of the sugars in the ketchup from the grill. The chicken wrap was very tasty and a large portion. My husband needed a to-go container for half of it. The fries were good. I asked for them well done, and they were nicely brown and did not disappoint. The beverages arrived in large tumblers with crushed ice which was a pleasant surprise. Only Pepsi products are available for soda. There is a funky smell in this place. The waitress was rather short with us today as well. The bathroom was out of toilet paper. The floor and stairs to the second floor are uneven.

Darick M.

Yelp
We visited on 12/10/24 and the menu has made significant changes since September. Food was ok... prices went up. Sandwiches and burgers no longer come w/ fries so you're paying 12-16 for a sandwich/burger. Bartender added a couple bucks to his tip that I put down. Only a few dollars but was not what I gave. Not calling to complain as it's not worth the energy but I will not be back and it's sad cuz Nick's used to be a staple for us.

Jack M.

Yelp
New ownership is ruining the place. Prices on nearly everything have increased especially on their lackluster food. Was only ever good for how cheap it was now I would never even think to eat there. Bartender is also a giant ass that will be either extremely rude or just not get you a drink. Real shame to see how far they've fallen.

Yelp
Went to Nick's last weekend to check it out now that it's under new ownership and WOW, it's painfully obvious these new people don't have a clue about this establishment AT ALL. For one, the clientele and vibe that night was very different than usual and not in a good way at all. It felt like a fist fight could break out at any minute. Very weird, very uncomfortable. In my 18 years of frequenting Nick's, I've never really had any complaints about their live music choices. It's usually an acoustic solo or duo act that sounds great with great song selections and they were superb at working the crowd (shouts to Noah Glenn, Jeff Nations and Eric Nelson, especially on this!). The night I went in, I was worried to see they had a DJ set up. As expected, we were treated to a smattering of awful rap, pop, and hip-hop that was played WAY too loud for the small size of the room. The DJ wasn't even that skilled and the soundsystem was terrible. We eventually left because we came to hear music, not a guy pushing buttons on a laptop. The whole experience at Nick's that night was a complete letdown and I don't plan on going back anytime soon. Bottom line is if you're coming to Nick's for the great live music and fun, casual vibe that it's been known for for the last 20 years, don't bother. It's clearly long gone. I was talking with a friend this week who informed me that the new owner, Bob, had his errand boy talk to the stable of bands that have been regularly playing for the last 10 years and told them all that if they wanted to keep playing at Nick's, their pay would be cut in half or they'd be fired. My buddy found out that they're paying the DJs almost triple what they were paying the musicians. WHAT A LOWLIFE MOVE. Knowing that is enough to keep me away from Nick's forever which is a bummer because that place really has been amazing up until these last couple weeks. Bob's gonna have some hard pills to swallow these next few months (if Nick's is even able to stay in business that long...)

Aaron H.

Yelp
A little neighborhood pub that now charges stadium prices on drinks. Nutrls are $9. 12oz Nutrls $9. I could not believe it. The new ownership is going to price this place out of style. Seems like they are trying to turn it into a nightclub and that's not going to fly with the Nicks Pub loyalists and locals. Also, they have always charged $5 for cover but the "live music" is now just a DJ who plays club music. I'll pay $5 for live music but not for a DJ. New ownership taking advantage of people at this point. Same owners as Tamm Ave Bar which also charges too much for drinks.

Yelp
This place doesn't serve AmVets in there vest. Even after a Veteran walked in and asked them. Everyone needs to boycott this place because they don't care about Veterans or Veterans Organizations

Chrissy W.

Yelp
Went to Nick's Pub to meet some friends we are a veterans organization and wearing our veterans vests. We were told to leave because of our vests. Vests are not allowed. Explained to the bar tender we are a veterans group. They told us absolutely not and we had to take our vests off. Our vests were earned and we were not there to cause problems but having drinks and food. I would NOT recommend that no motorcycle riders or veterans spend any money in this establishment. My husband and I will never patronize this business again. We believe in small family owned businesses HOWEVER when you can't support the veterans or a veterans group you've lost our business. Trust me I'll spread the word. PS we live in the neighborhood also.

Jonathon R.

Yelp
Good bar, food not the same since new owners came aboard.. Mike is very rude and treat his employees unfair , my boyfriend worked there and half the kitchen staff jobs have lost because they hired all Mexican I say NO DONT EAT THERE !!

Kevin B.

Yelp
Best wings & daily specials. The service is ideal when its not super busy at night. But its also super fun spot to grab cheap drinks here late night. For sure my favorite dive bar in the area.

Estia W.

Yelp
The beer selection is out of control! They have 101 beers on tap and you can even get your name on the wall if you fill your card of beers. The bartenders and staff is always great and a good time with conversation or back and forth banter. The bar for me is a hidden gem. It has 3 different setting types. The inside is one type of vibe in itself then you have the outside and of course the upstairs with many choices of games! It has something for everyone!

Mandi G.

Yelp
Y'all need to fire Teddy. When you ask him for something he doesn't respond at all. No head nod, no thumbs up, no eye contact, nothing. So you have no idea if he even heard you since it's a busy, noisy bar. And then if you ask twice he literally screams at you "I heard you!!!!" and the whole bar goes silent. Way to treat your patrons like s***. He obviously cannot handle this job and needs to go to therapy and get his toxic masculinity in check. Even after doing that to someone in my group, another person went out of their way to say thank you and sorry and he made zero eye contact, no response, nothing and then threatened to throw my friend out of the bar just for asking for something twice. He's just a jerk who needs to find another job where people aren't asking him for anything because that obviously TRIGGERS him. God forbid anyone ask for anything from a BARTENDER at a BAR.

Ramadan H.

Yelp
Dropped by Nick's last night around 1am. The main bar was packed so i decided to go to the other bar in the next room and tried to grab a drink. As i was waiting, i met a girl who was sitting at the end of that bar and we started chatting for a bit while the bartender was doing her thing. There was a female bartender making the drinks and when she finally turned my way i asked her for a crown on the rocks and a can of sugar-free redbull. She came back with a tinny glass overflowing with ice and no more than 1 inch of crown on the bottom. I asked how much it was and she told me that it was $18. I was shocked of the price being so high and hardly any liquor in it and asked why so expensive for a glass with mostly ice and a redbull. The female bartender started to yell at me with great disrespect and tried to pressure me into just giving up the money but I told her that i would not pay for it and then said "fuck off" "get the fuck out of here" "piece of shit" to which then i replied "i'll go to the other bar". So, I went to the main bar and asked for a pint of a red lager, tipped the two men working at that bar and went back to the previous room to continue talking with a girl i had just met who was also sitting at that bar. As soon as I went back to continue chatting with her, the female bartender got close and yelled more insults and said that i should apologize to her to which i replied that "I was not interested in talking to her and that i didn't owe her anything". This bartender was on some power trip because right after i said those exact words she flipped and became very hostile and threaten me and that i should do as she says or she'll get security and have me beat up or thrown out unless i did as she wanted. I told this little person to leave alone and she immediately went to the other bar in the main room and soon after a heavy set guy with a pink Floyd shirt came running in my direction. I had just gotten the pint of the Red Lager beer and this guy comes in my face, grabs by beer from my hand and puts on the bar, yells at me to leave the drink down and go talk with him. I thought that he was going to say smth like, "oh, her cat just died after she accidentally ran over with her car and she's in a bad mood" but no, this pathetic looser just slammed the door in my face after i stepped out to speak with him. I tried to explain to him that not only that i did not do any thing wrong nor used any profanity or insults but that i had just paid for my beer. Whoever owns Nick should understand that this is no way to ever treat your clients and that i shall never pay when i think i'm being extorted and that if your staff threatens customers with impunity, there's no telling how it might end. Both of those individuals have zero class or any people's skills, they are disrespectful and won't hesitate to use profanity to insult customers and attempt to shame them into accepting their shitty attitude as if it is the norm, especially men who won't put up with such disrespect. This is not the 1st time this has happen but never had some little chick go and tell lies on clients and then convince some idiot who doesn't question anything who acted like he wanted to get into a fight. If this guys would've tried to put hands on me the rest of his night was going to be unfavorable. His aggressive body language that was telling me that i might have to use violence to protect myself. So, to recap this detailed memo, here are a few major points to consider: 1. Nick's overcharges for liquor 2. Nick's charges customers for ice 3. Nick's employees have zero customer skills nor do they care to, at minimum be nice and curious to their own clients 4. Nick's forced me to leave the beer i paid inside due to a wrongfully kicking me out 5. Nick's employee insulted me and attempted to intimidate me in hopes of extorting a false amount of money (she failed) 6. Nick's employee, (in my opinion as someone who has been in the service industry as a bartender, line cook and server, for more than 15yrs) have smth shady going on with the prices and drink portions. Moreover, i saw the review regarding the disrespect your staff showed towards our veterans and i have to say that what happen to me and them and many others over the years, (other things i have overlooked there, such charging my friend 2023 Saint Pats for ice) Nick's should be ashamed and i would strongly recommend that Nick's needs to reform their business culture and treat their customers with dignity and respect and not treat them like carp. Lastly, not only I will boycott Nick's but will also encourage everyone i know to do the same unless Nick's Pub employees treat their customers decently with respect, kindness, dignity and fair prices to portions.

Michaela M.

Yelp
Anyone who refuses service to people that made sure you could have that business will not receive the paycheck they are after. Sincerely all military families.

Aleta H.

Yelp
Great food and drink specials. Monday night trivia is so much fun! Love karaoke and the live music on Friday nights!!!! Service is great!

Natalie L.

Yelp
I feel I can't give this place a fair review since I haven't spent time here. Every time I've been, my friend has been turned away. Yes, he's of age. No, he's never acted out. He just isn't from the US. He doesn't have a US ID to show the bouncer, only the one from his home country. A real, government ID. I really hope this is a change that this place can make so he and I can visit together

Steve R.

Yelp
Nope. I went here because a friend always wants to meet there. Bad neighborhood that kinda smells bad. The wings were burnt and kinda bad. This place has always been just what it is. Crap.

Christina K.

Yelp
Happy hour goes until 7pm and includes food! There is a smoking side of the bar. Upstairs you'll find games like darts and pool. The food...during happy hour apps are half priced. They don't skimp on the portions during happy hour, and everything is tasty. The bartenders are kind and very attentive. The ladies bathroom on the first floor is small, you've been warned.

Zack G.

Yelp
Bar with lots of TV's and an awesome large covered area outside. I wouldn't really call the outside seating area a patio because there are walls and a ceiling and you can't see outside. The outdoor portion has it's own bar, and has 8 TV's put together to make one huge TV however. Their is a server who waits on tables there as well 101 beer options and a food menu with casual bar food. I tried a Southwest wrap with a side of house veggies. I didn't have high hopes, but they were actually delicious. Have regular live music and karaoke.

Bob M.

Yelp
WOW! What a shitty bar! Tried to go the other night and the bouncer was an absolute dumbass! told me and my 22 year old friend our ids were fake! mind you we are both dudes. We both brought our girlfriends as well who are 21. Oh but they barely looked and their ids and just let them right in! Bartender is a complete jackass who doesnt clearly give a fuck about anything. Probably some of the shittiest drinks you can find in missouri to be honest. im sad i even attempted to give my buisness to this sorry excuse for a bar. I would recommend anywhere else but here!

Dave W.

Yelp
I've been here twice now for lunch. Great $6.95 lunch specials! DBL bacon cheeseburger, salad, and hand cut fries.....delicious.

Ian M.

Yelp
Cool setup with tvs in the back, pool upstairs, and a solid beer selection for good prices.

Crystal P.

Yelp
White privilege doesn't exist huh? Well I def felt disrespected when I went in there Friday nite after I got off work. Guess I have to b white to actually get good service. Thought this place was going to b fun just disappointing. Don't go here if you're a POC.

Alex S.

Yelp
Tired to host an event here and they were very misleading with pricing. Didn't let me know the bill until the end of the night when I was already paying.

Noel F.

Yelp
Teddy and Kayty are the best bartenders I've had. Very attentive, I'm always here and have never had any problem. Get what you want very fast, being a bartender myself I love the environment and the quickness they have behind the bar no matter how busy they are. love them both!

Audrey B.

Yelp
Nick's pub is sort of a dive bar, sort of a college bar, sort of...something else entirely. There is a downstairs, upstairs, and covered patio. Lots of space, bar games to play upstairs, giant screen in the patio area. The environment is fun, very casual. Dark lighting. Major downside: this is a smoking bar. I would go much more frequently if it weren't for this. On a busy night, you will leave smelling like smoke. SO MANY DRINKS on tap. I really appreciate that Nick's has non-beer beverages on tap, too - ciders, shandies, framboise. It's very fun to look at the extensive list and try things you had not before or just did not want to buy a 6-pack of without trying first. Food at Nick's is pretty good. It's all bar food, but it's good quality bar food. That said, it's a little pricey for bar food. They have specials but the wording on the menu can be confusing regarding what the specials do or do not include. Happy hour specials are awesome. They are almost always open - cool to have a go-to bar when others are closed.

Julie W.

Yelp
Great service, FULL drinks, hot food! Cozy pub ambiance. Good selection of food and drink.

Mattison D.

Yelp
nick's pub a GREAT place to have an AMAZING time with friends for CHEAP!!!! their food isn't amazing but it's also not bad. i highly recommend the buffalo chicken wrap & double vodka sodas

Radomir S.

Yelp
Brandon basically said it all in his review. I've never seen such aggressive behavior from a "manager" towards his customers. Its really quite embarrassing on your end that you would hire such unprofessional people to work for you. I don't think I'll be coming back here again, I'd rather spend my money in a bar where you're treated like a human being and not yelled at like you're some animal. Disgusting. Ps. The servers (two young ladies) were great! It was just their douchebag manager Paul that ruined everything in the end. The servers deserve a raise for being professional and having to deal with that douche all day.

Claire C.

Yelp
This pub will randomly turn you away even if you have a real ID, with no remorse or customer service at all. Go somewhere else where they want to serve you and will not use a faulty app that flags non Missouri IDs as fake. We even had a cop come and they couldn't get off their ego trip to listen to them that our IDs were real (which they were).

Chance M.

Yelp
Sent a message to their Facebook page about my poor experience. Instead of responding they just blocked me. Go figure

Theresa F.

Yelp
We were given a pub pass as a gift and went here to use the pass and eat dinner. The waitress saw out pub pass and did not mention that the beers we ordered were not included. When I mentioned this she said "Now you know"!! Really. Unfortunately we will never be back. Food was mediocre and service was slow. Bad experience

Shalina B.

Yelp
Tons of beers on tap and for a good price. Friendly and efficient staff! We got there as an after spot. They're open late!! Even at the bitter end we left with good energy.

Michele F.

Yelp
Dive bars of dive bars. Open super late. Sticky and perfect for after softball games when you're looking for something easy.

Steven B.

Yelp
WARNING: This pub is a smoking bar. If that keeps you away, you are missing out on a great pub. To be honest, I didn't even realize it until I was leaving, I was having that much fun and enjoying some outstanding bar grub. We started out with a pitcher of beer. I don't think I've ordered beer by the pitcher, since I was in college. I've enjoyed, buckets of bottled beer, but not a pitcher. I thank our waitress for stirring us in the right direction on that one. I love how you can or order your chicken wings here. It's simple and I wish other bars would follow their lead. You can order in increments of 6. 6,12, 18 and 24. Then of course for catering, they offer 50. After selecting your quantity, you choose your cooking style; Traditional Fried, Hand-Breaded and From The Pit. My mind was blown when I got to select from 21 sauces. We ordered a 6 Hot and a 6 Lemon & Pepper. L&P has become my favorite when it's available and Nick's did not disappoint. For our entrees we both went Fish-n-Chips. Four large pieces of fish, crinkle fries and two pieces of toasted garlic bread. The fish was crispy on the outside, with a hot and flakey inside. I'm okay with fries at a bar being from a bag of frozen fries, especially if they are crinkle. I like how the crinkles hold on to the ketchup. I enjoyed the garlic toast, I was able to create little open faced fish sandwiches. I've also been here for two private parties and I can say the mixed drinks and pizza are top notch, too. If you're looking for a fun bar with cheap beer, good mixed drinks and some of the best bar grub in the city - check out Nick's. You just might see me there.

Yelp
Overall great experience & cheap food. My car was broken into during my visit though, as well 3 others. I recommend the place, however, would recommend not leaving your car in the lot.

Yelp
Terrible bar. The manager is incredibly rude and refused to serve us with no reason given and after charging cover. We have been here over 10 times with no issue so to be treated like this was ridiculous and demeaning.

Yelp
Manager/Bartender was so rude. Don't go there if you're drinking. Makes rude comments about people drinking too much (it's a bar). Saw other people saying he was rude and one girl walked out crying

Yelp
If I could give this negative stars, I would. My Group went here after Mardi Gras and the bartender wouldn't serve us lol. The bartender had no reason. I asked why in a very mild manor, and she has absolutely no excuse. She served every one else, no problem. Didn't give us a reason at all. We were leaving, and the security guard was talking shit. The whole bar was much more drunk than my group. None of the people around me had any issues. This is ridiculous. There's literally no reason. We ubered there and ubered away. Ridiculous.

Yelp
Dear diary, I would leave negative stars for the simple fact that they apparently ran out of pretzels and every time I ordered some freakking pretzels they brought me something else... I came here for FUCKING PRETZELS! And my bucket is empty... No service And no smile Thanks a lot Lyndā

Yelp
Did I have you all wrong, Nick's? Nick's Pub has been a staple near Dogtown for a quite some time, but the face of Nick's has changed quite a bit over recent years. What was once a destination for an average night of debauchery has become a haven for craft beer drinkers. The pub claims to have 101 beers on draft, and I have to take their word for it. Because the wall is covered in taps! They have so many taps that it wraps around to the other side of the bar, which extends to a smoker-friendly patio outside. Nick's celebrates local beer! Just last night, they had ten beers available from 4 Hands alone. Other local breweries include Schlafly, 2nd Shift, UCBC, Civil Life, Six Mile, O'Fallon, Ferguson, and Perennial. You can also find any domestic beer. However, what really separates Nick's from other craft beer bars is the specials. It's difficult to come to Nick's without having something discounted. Last night was three dollar Missouri premium drafts with 25 cent cheese bread and 40 cent potato skins. I spent five dollars before tip last night, and I was a very happy man! The food is actually pretty good, too. If you start somewhere, go with a burger, which are only two dollars on Tuesday night. However, you can't go with most appetizers or pizza. Keep in mind that Nick's is still a big weekend hangout and can get pretty crowded on a Friday or Saturday night. And forget about St. Patrick's Day! If you're not into big crowds and obnoxious drunk people, you might keep your visits to off nights. I would have never thought that I'd give Nick's five stars, but here I am. They're doing it right down on Manchester and Sulphur.

Yelp
I have stopped by Nicks 3 times in the last month, after driving by for 7 years. Thought it was a dive. Silly me. This place is great. I have always noticed the 101 beers on tap on the sign and love craft beer and now I am hooked. Something for everyone from the lightest to the darkest richest beer available. Daily drink and food specials that will keep me coming back. Brought my wife and mother in law this past Sunday and had a great dinner and several killer stouts. My wife the pasta junkie was very surprised at the quality and portion size of her dish. My mother in law had a burger just the way she likes it, a little crisp around the edges. I had a philly steak that was cheesy and tasty . looking forward the trying the fish on my next trip. Looked good on the guys plate next to me. I would of given a full 5 stars but my poor overwhelmed waitress was a little Grumpy but did her best to keep things flowing . I think they may have been short handed. This will now be a frequent stop for my wife and I as craft beer and great food are our thing.

Yelp
Do not come unless you get a green check on this app https://apps.apple.com/us/app/show-me-id/id1552200807. The app is faulty and won't recognize certain states' ids. They are unwilling to look at the ids closely like the app tells them to. We even had the police come and the bartender still refused service after the cop told them it was a real id

Yelp
Nick's Pub has basically the largest draft selection in St. Louis, craft or domestic, and the prices are astoundingly cheap for a pint (even the fancy stuff). The food is decent enough for a pub but nothing to write home about. Nick's daily specials are a thing to behold. Every day, some arbitrary half of all of the drink and food options gets even cheaper, somehow. Think dollar pints, $3 personal pizzas and sizable dollar sliders. It's honestly what keeps me coming back. Nick's is really the place to go if you want to drink good beer and eat bar food for cheap. It gets crowded quickly on weekend-adjacent days, but people constantly circulate in and out so finding a seat isn't terrible. Half of the venue is allows smoking, and on busier days the non-smoking section can get pretty smokey, which is not great. Service is okay -- the waitstaff seems like they're doing their best but the place always feels understaffed. When you're kept waiting, they'll often bring you something on the house, which is really nice. Overall, a really solid place with great beer that won't break the bank.

Yelp
My friends and I have been coming ever since we were in college and always had a great time. Cheap beer, good food, great memories. Would give five stars but their new id scanning system keeps denying my friends' out of state license when they come to visit (Nebraska and Colorado), but accepts mine and my other friends' Missouri ids. We are all clearly of age and actually are no longer in college. Would like to come back as long as the id scanning system gets figured out!
