I was new to the neighborhood and didn't have a go-to tailor, which was a bit scary since I needed someone I could trust my wedding dress with. I brought my gown here for alteration and the whole experience end-to-end was GREAT. I had two fittings and my requests were integrated perfectly. The dress fit me just perfectly and I couldn't be happier with how it looked on my big day. My price here was less than half of the estimate I was quoted at a different tailor and the quality was absolutely top notch. I will absolutely be back for future alteration needs.

I took 4 dresses in on a somewhat tight timeline, all needing different work done. I had a dress hemmed, the bust taken in on another, the sides taken in for a third and the final dress I wanted the sleeves removed entirely. My dresses were done in time for my trip to Greece and came out amazing! The fits were gorgeous, and the dress we took the sleeves off of was absolutely stunning! He did such an incredible job I could not even tell where the alterations took place, and the price came out much more reasonable that I had anticipated. I am thrilled and can't wait to wear all of these on my Greek vacation!

If you're looking for a tailor in the South Bay look no further. Alterations are always high quality and ready when promised, and pricing is very affordable for the area. Azam helped me out with a big project on a tight deadline when he easily could have said no - this type of neighborly spirit is getting harder to come by these days, so I'm very grateful to have him in the neighborhood.

Nick is very helpful and knowledgeable and realistic about the modifications of the garments you bring in. He helped me increase my leg room within possible means of material for an Indian garment wedding and Nigerian wedding garment also. He's very easy to work with and does great work. He gives you feedback and let's you decide on what you want to modify and how much. It is cash only from what I've seen.

Got some 8+ year old very baggy and poorly fitting khakis hemmed and some of the baggyness taken out. I never wore them before, but now they fit very well and look good and I wear them regularly. Nick’s was cheaper than buying new pants and they probably fit better too

Service is excellent. He asks you how you want to tailor your clothes. Recommendations are also provided since he has a great eye for the right fit. Don't be a last minute person. He is a one person shop but I will definitely be returning. Highly recommended. Would recommend to a friend

Excellent service with incredibly reasonable prices. I came in needing alterations on a dress for a wedding. I had no idea how the dress needed to be altered, just that it wasn't right in the bust. We went over some options, and I brought in foam cups I ordered from Amazon per his rec. Came in on a Wednesday, was able to pick it up Friday. When he told me the cost, my jaw dropped and I said "You should probably raise your prices!!!" Will definitely be back. *CASH ONLY!!!*

Nick's Tailor is the best! I brought a long skirt with an elastic waist band and complicated fabric pattern/pleating to him, hoping to tighten it at the waist so it would sit high waisted. Despite the complications of the task, the skirt was finished quickly and at a fantastic price. I will be sure to bring all my future tailoring needs here, as this is a place you can trust!!

I come here for all of my needs. The work is flawless and it's always such a great experience. When I was getting married I knew I would only trust Azam. My dress and my wife's jacket came out even better than expected. Azam is amazing. I had a rush job I needed (same day) and he was able to fit me in. He did the buttonholes by hand, beautifully, with a smile. I was so pleased to get my item tailored in the timeframe I needed it. I can't recommend him more highly.

I came in with my sherwani and he was knowledgeable about the sizing and look and made suggestions and tried his best to extend my legs (since they're basically tree trunks) and make it fit well. The prices were reasonable and he was very patient and understanding of what I needed

My daughter's school uniform skirts needed to be hemmed. Nick's Tailor is close to my job, so I decided to try them out. It's a tiny business located on Manhattan Beach Blvd. The only parking is street metered parking, so make sure to bring some change. While entering, I was greeted by an older man. I think he's the owner. The place itself is basic, nothing fancy, which is fine. I gave him my skirts and was told they'll be ready in a week. That was fine; I wasn't in a hurry. As I was leaving, I saw a sign that said cash only. Luckily I saw it, or else I would have tried to pay with a card (I never have cash on me). But I feel that he should've mentioned it to me. He also didn't give me a price, I didn't ask either, but I feel usually, that's something you mention. When the week passed, I went to pick up the skirts. I remembered to bring cash! But, I was unsure how much to bring because he didn't tell me. Ugh! I thought maybe $30 would cover it ($15 for each). Well, I was way off! It cost $50! My hubby and I were like, wtf! Haha. My fault for not asking. But I feel that $50 is a bit crazy for just two basic skirts. So make sure you ask how much! Anyways, the skirts came out fine, and it seemed he did a good job. But I still feel like I was overcharged; maybe that's why he didn't tell me the price when I dropped off. If that's the case, that's not nice! This kind of left a bad taste in my mouth, and I am unsure if I'll come back.

Inconsistent pricing practices, the lack of a published price list, and unfriendly service are my reasons for giving this a one star review.

Azam was wonderful to work with! I had to get a bridesmaid dress hemmed, and I wasn't feeling sure about how many other alterations I should get in order to feel good in the dress. Azam asked me if this was a dress I would ever wear again and I said, "NO!" He then advised me to save my money and only get the dress hemmed, and not to stress about it. He did a perfect job on the hem, and was very kind in wishing me a fun time at the wedding. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an honest and efficient tailor.

They did a great job on my suit alterations. They were able to complete the service within 24 hours but they charged me a heavy premium of $85 for hemming my pants and bringing in the arms of my suit. Not much work needed but the up charge was for the quick turnaround. I'd go back for a reasonable price.

I had my wedding suit fitted at Nick's. Excellent service, the original suit was oversized. The measuring process was thorough and easy, the results were excellent. We have been back several times. Use with confidence.

Incredible work. A friend of mine had a ripped duvet cover, high end quality and I was nervous about having it repaired. Azam greeted me and knew just what to do - it was a large and awkward rip on delicate material, but he was confident he could fix it, and I trusted him. When I picked it up, not only had he repaired the giant L-shaped tear, but 2 small other holes. It looked perfect! You could hardly tell anything had happened to the duvet cover. Azam knows what he's doing, and his craftsmanship is excellent. Right across from a trader joes, and around the corner from a fluff n fold, very conveniently located! Best tailor in town.

I purchased two suits at the Nordstrom annual sale and wanted to find a local tailor to handle the alterations. Luckily I went to Nick's Tailor and Azam did an excellent job hemming the pants and shortening the jacket sleeves. The price was reasonable and the suits were ready when he said they would be. Azam was patient and a pleasure to work with.

I'm so glad I found this place. I needed a tailor that could turnaround two pairs of pants within 2 days. I definitely do not recommend asking any tailor for such a quick turnaround as I know I am not their only customer but if you are like me and have to catch a last minute flight and are need of hemming, I would 1000% suggest Nick's. Not just because he was able to complete such a quick turnaround but he was so kind and gracious about it! I really appreciated that type of service and how he treated me.

I have been using Nick's for almost 25 years. Beyond just hemming pants, Azam has modified ski clothes, made curtains and table runners, and customized shirts for me. I trust and rely on him like I do my accountant and mechanic. Sometimes after the work is done I change my mind, and he handles those changes with a smile. He's a heck of a nice guy too.

Azam is not only a great tailor but a very kind and delightful person to work with. I went in four times to continue perfecting my wedding dress alterations and he was patient and attentive each time. I was extremely happy with the outcome and thought the service was a great value. I was in a pinch and needed one button sewn onto a dress to wear that same night. I googled tailors and the first one I called said she didn't have time for me. Nicks was second on the list and he answered right away. He was very nice and told me to come in right away. When I got there I told him I didn't even have a button and he told me not to worry about it and sewed it on in about 2 minutes. So thankful he was able to help me out and because of this I will be using his services whenever I am in need! Thank you!!

I have had my clothing altered and repaired at Nick's Tailor for around 20 years. They are professional, courteous, and always do an excellent job. I highly recommend them. They take pride in what they do.

Nick is an Artist a pro, the guy you want repairing or altering your clothing. I brought 2 $2500 costumes to him that I wear for work and he did a better job than anyone in the South Bay and for a better price.

I saw all the great reviews and tried out Nick's Tailor for a dress I was wearing to a wedding and to fix some holes in my jeans. Both turned out fabulous. I brought a picture of how I wanted the dress to look and he matched it perfectly (even had me stand the same way the model was standing in the picture). So excited I have a new tailor!

I brought in 3 pairs of jeans to be taken in and a skirt that needed a new extra-wide elastic waistband. First, the jeans - wow! 2/3 pairs now fit like a glove, and you'd never know they'd been altered at all. The third pair fit a bit strangely, BUT, he told me when I dropped them off that, because of how they were cut, he didn't think the tailoring would work, and I opted to go ahead anyway. So, the jeans don't fit right, but he knew it, and he told me, and he was right all along! As for the skirt, he said he didn't know where to source an elastic that wide, but instead of replacing it, he was able to salvage the elastic that was in there already, and now the skirt is totally wearable again. All the clothes were done by the date promised, and I really couldn't be happier. 3 pairs of jeans plus a silk skirt - all like new - for $165. A pretty good deal, overall. And he was very kind, quick and thoughtful as well. I'll definitely be back and will recommend him to anyone.

I've used multiple tailors throughout LA (including expensive ones in Beverly Hills) and the South Bay, and Azam is by far the best - not even close. He's done everything for me from a simple Jean hem to refitting multiple of my custom made suits. He does everything to the highest caliber, he'll be honest about what you can and cannot do with a garment, and he always always gets the work done in a timely manner. He is also very fairly priced, especially for the quality of work. Hands down the best! I highly recommend.

Best tailor I've been to so far! Very professional and clean work! I know how to sew but didn't have time to do it myself so I brought my dress in to get the waist adjusted. He was extremely helpful and have multiple options of doing it. Love it!

If I could give more stars I would because this place is great! The shop is in a great location although it can be a bit busy on that street so be mindful of that. The owner is also very sweet and personable which was a big plus. His pricing though.. WOW. When I was in the military I had to take my uniforms to the tailors often and it wasn't cheap. One other time in San Antonio I took a dress to get a hole sewn up and i paid $15 for just that. I took that same dress to this store (the fabric is so fragile and guess what.. i got another hole on it in a new spot on vacation so now I'll be bringing it back HAHA) and a sheer lace top that i wore to a festival that had at least 4 areas needing to be sewn. Y'all.. it was only $20!!!!! When it was time to pick up my items i was running around like crazy all day because i was leaving to Vegas that next day. By the time i realized i forgot to pick them up it was after 6pm. I thought I'd be fine though because Google said they close at 7pm (liars -_-). Well I showed up close to 7 and they were definitely closed lol but thankfully the owner still let me pick up my stuff. He did such a great job on them too! I will definitely be coming here from here on out.

I have been coming to Nick's Tailor for a while to get basic alterations done, so I knew once I began looking for help with my wedding gown that I could trust Azam, the owner of Nick's. I got a custom wedding gown made, and first needed assistance with taking my measurements. I walked into Azam's shop with an intimidating list of measurements needed by the gown maker, and he breezed through it easily while giving me his thoughts on places we may want to leave space for alterations. Once my custom gown arrived, it still needed slight alterations done - tightening the straps, adding padding to make the chest even, and taking in fabric at the waist, hips, and flair. The fabric I had was NOT easy to work with. It was a beaded lace with appliqué, and Azam took the challenge in stride, m and he was able to give me a dress that fit amazingly well. I should have listened to him when he told me not to bustle the dress (I ended up putting buttons and loops in, but not bustling it all the entire night!), and I loved the experience so much that I've sent friends to see him to also get their wedding gowns altered. Azam was one of the vendors who I enjoyed working with the most during my wedding because of his quality of work, style of communication, and extremely fair price. I highly recommend Azam and Nick's Tailor for your needs!

I have used Nick's my entire life and have had him alter everything. He is the nicest man and is truly willing to go out of his way to help. I brought in a suit and needed in the next day for an interview and he was willing to do it no problem. I have never had an issue with any of his work and he makes the entire process seamless. I would recommend him to any of my closest friends and family.

The first time I met Azam, I desperately entered his place to get a very last minute alteration. My daughter's hockey team just made nationals and she needed her jersey fixed and patches sewn on. He did it for me!!!! (We got 3rd in USA) So of course I went back for my clothes to be tailored, and I have never gone anywhere since. I actually have since moved from Manhattan Beach, but still make the drive to Azam. He makes me look better! He is very honest and a true craftsman.
