I expect an old school Italian restaurant to have very good food. Chicken parm is a relatively simple meal. Spaghetti wasn’t tossed in any sauce which Italian 101 when learning too cook in an Italian home. The red sauce had zero flavor. Maybe it was just a bad night, but I can’t imagine the red sauce recipe varies much. The bread appeared to be homemade. That was by far the best part of the meal. Pizza was ok. Recommended by the hotel staff next door. Normally hotel staff recommendations on food are very good.

Google
We ordered take out at the window. 🪟Said it would be 20-25 and was ready in 15 😃 went with the original and was excellent. Took my son into to the restaurant to check out the train. Will be back love this place❤️❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟

I grew up with the owner of Nikola Pizza. It is one of the greatest piece of establishments in the Rehoboth Beach and Louis Delaware area and the service and everything is excellent. The sports bar is way above any other establishment in the area, family oriented. Don't miss out on this experience. You'll remember it for the rest of your days

We LOVE this place, the people & the PIZZA !!! The atmosphere at the new Nicola Pizza along Coastal Highway, Lewes, is AWESOME. Always GREAT food & FRIENDLY servers. Their salads & pizza are ALWAYS delicious. During the off-season, this place has a very "local" feel - we usually run into friends & neighbors when we're here. During the peak season, it's amazing how many people Nicola's can handle comfortably. We've never had to wait to get seated, but we usually arrive just before 5 pm. I'm posting a pic, but unfortunately, there are slices missing - some people are just too anxious to DIVE INTO a Nicola pizza & we never seem to get a pic of the whole pie - LOL !!! Great place - highly recommended !!!

Google
The food was very good. The pizza was a good value. It came out fast and hot. The cheese fries were amazing. The cheese sauce was this amazing mix that we licked the plate clean. The boli was smaller than expected for the price. It was full of meat, but it was just smaller than we thought it would be. It would have been nice to have some sort of measurements or ideas of size for the first-time customer. The service was good, the place was very loud. Like a school cafeteria.

First time visiting. Sadly not many gluten free options, but it is a pizza joint and I know this. I got the cauliflower crust 10" pizza as a white pizza. It was okay, crust was completely burnt which I was a bit sad about. It was so busy I didn'twant to wait as long as my friend did did get a new one. I personally did not feel as though I got my bang for my buck. I didn't get any toppings because each topping was an extra $2.50 on top of my already $17 pizza. I felt like the cost verses what I got was not worth it. I understand having a gluten allergy is my problem, but it's frustrating when you feel like restaurants are really over charging for way less food because of the allergy. I'm pleased my friends liked it but I personally will not go out of my way to return.

Google
Horrible! We have never been treated so bad in our lives. Went for lunch the girls at the front were very rude to us. We had a party of 7 and was told cause everyone was not here we could not be seated okay thats fine, not five mins later a party of 8 came in not everyone was there and they sat them and made us wait! what a joke! We have been coming here since the 1990's never have I ever been treated this way! Hire better staff! We even asked why and was told because there party was close. So was ours! Even was questioned when we asked for a kids menu for my 10 year old daughter. Do better Nicola we spend a lot of money there!

Google
Terrific place good food -great service! Loved them when they were on downtown Rehoboth. The new facility is much larger but they have not sacrificed that warm hometown restaurant feel . All the staff are friendly and welcoming . The Owner is on site and greets patrons . Just a marvelous experience . At the Bar there are tv monitors with sports and news . And the best pizza around !

Yelp
Finally got to visit the take out area of the new (to me) location! There is a large parking lot and the walk up to the take out area was easy. The setup is very nice to accommodate lines and there are tables available to sit outside after picking up a take out order. I just got 2 slices. One pepperoni slice and one with fresh tomatoes. Thanks to the cashier for suggesting that one! Next visit we will sit inside to enjoy the vibe!

Yelp
We came to watch the football game, drink some beers and get some food. Sat at bar. At 8:15 the game wasn't on any of the bar TVs so I asked the bartender (blond, middle aged woman) if she could get the game on for us. She said "I have no control over the TVs sorry". We asked a manager next and they got it turned on. Next we ordered a calzone. It took 45 minutes for it to come out and it was COLD. Sent it back, they made a new one for us and it came out in less than 10 minutes, but it was cold too! Sent that one back too and cancelled the food order. I asked for the manager and she apologized and said she'd take the calzone off our bill. Thanks a lot, we didn't eat the darn thing of course you're taking it off the bill! Got attitude from the blind server test of the night. Never coming back here.

Yelp
Wow, the new location is stunning - so large and roomy. Jenni has been before but this was my first time. Service was great, the environment comfortable, and Nicholas still walked around saying hello and asking how everything is. I used the bathroom before eating and was amazed at how neat and clean it was. I mentioned this to Nicholas and he said, "if it isn't, we might as well shut the whole place down." Anyway, we had salads, Nic-o-Boli, large cheese pizza, and a small fry. The fries were gigantic and tasted terrific with vinegar and no ketchup. The salad was large enough for us to split and our server thoughtfully brought us an extra plate. The bolis were okay after we got extra sauce but it's the pizza that's the star here: plain cheese for us and the crust is light, crispy, and delicious, the sauce slightly sweet, and the cheese thick, creamy, and delicious. Yum!

Yelp
We ordered DoorDash Delivery and the food was pretty good. We ordered the large shareable adult pizza and it was loaded with peppers, onions, sausage, pepperoni. It was very heavy and yummy. Our order came unexpectedly with a bucket of fries and the kids loved it!
google avatar

Yelp
Finally got to order lunch and dine in here. It is a very nice atmosphere and lots of seating. Came here around noon and got seated right away and some stopped by our table for our drink order within minutes. We ordered a Nicoboli, pizza and fries and everything was hot and delicious and served very quickly. The fries and the crust taste freshly made and we loved every bite. The service was excellent with frequent check-ins and refills on drinks. I am looking forward to trying out some pasta dishes and salads next. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Delicious food. Outstanding and polite service. Casual dining. Great quality and affordable. I ordered a Nicolboli to-go. I was told by my friend thay lives there, it's their version of a pizza hot-pocket. We also had the Chicken Parm sandwich, a medium pepperoni and onion pizza, boardwalk fries with cheese sauce on the side, as well as a house salad. Ended up taking a lot to go since I don't plan on cooking the next 2 days. I really enjoyed dining here and highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!
google avatar

Allen B.

Yelp
The Pizza is one of the better options in the area. I think I ever prefer it over Grotto actually. I like the large bar area in the restaurant itself. It's a good place to watch a game and get some food. I also like the pickup spot in the back which makes calling ahead and taking out easy.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
Favorite part of this place is the salad! Place was packed but we were in and out for a party of 5 within 90 minutes. Food came out super quick and service was decent. Good for a consistent meal!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
The goated pizza spot of Rehoboth, no debate! Get yourself a nicopoli and you'll be in heaven.
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
We came back here about two weeks ago and had another fantastic experience! The environment was on point, the Nic-a-bolis were really good and we had a great time. Rosa did a very good job at taking care of us. And their gluten free pizza was really good too!

Casandra R.

Yelp
Service was spot on , pizza was delicious and had house salad for two or more . Very enjoyable atmosphere inside and outside
google avatar

Yelp
My childhood and young adult memory of this place was always the most incredible Nic-a-boli to eat. I arrived at the new location a few weeks before Labor Day so there were more locals on a Friday than out of towners. The new locations is away from the beach and I truly feel that the dynamic has changed from a one block from the ocean beach restaurant versus to a town Pizza/ Italian restaurant . Service was good and the staff are very friendly. They Ask how you how is everything. I knew there is a wait for the Nic-a-bolis. I asked for extra sauce on the side the Nic-a-boli is great just as I remember, and the cheese was melting out which I love. I just I'm having a hard time the move as I no longer feel the beach vibe . they have TVs with the horse races on. I will definitely go back to bring home a box they cost $ 126 for 11 Nic-a-bolis.
google avatar

Deanna J.

Yelp
Everytime we order takeout- our order is WRONG. Even after triple checking. Including our order tonight. And we always order 1 Pepperoni Boli. How hard can it be?....
google avatar

Chelsea F.

Yelp
Wow, as someone who never really frequented Nicola's while they were on Rehoboth Ave, we've been twice to their *newer* location on Coastal Hwy - and we're now definitely Nicola's people! The service is great, the food is piping hot, and we've been while the dining room is packed with a wait, and while it's a slower lunch time. Each time we're met with a smile! The kids love the outside fire pit & throwing coins into the fountains. Such a fun time at Nicola Pizza!
google avatar

Kaylee H.

Yelp
Very nice outside bar to hangout at. I had an orange crush which was perfectly made. The spicy bbq wings were delicious. Very messy but worth it. Definitely a cool spot to hangout and chill after the beach. Located right next to our hotel and was a great spot to catch a meal. Service was okay but very nice. Will go again!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun family place to go when near Rehoboth. The Everything Nicoboli was awesome! If you like pizza, then this is the place to come in this area. The service was great and the food came out relatively quick. Give it a try!
google avatar

Brianna G.

Yelp
Always hits. I grew up in the area, moved a few hours away, but whenever I come back around I make it a point to go to Nicolas once (or twice) each time. Devil pizza, salad (with cheese, onions, and raspberry vinaigrette!) are my go-to!
google avatar

Robert P.

Yelp
Okay, so the pizza wasn't bad but kinda bland. The crust cooked and not doughy. The place is big and geared for the beach crowd. It was close to where I was staying for the night.
google avatar

Dee M.

Yelp
I had both pizza and cheesesteaks this week. Both were great. Their cocktails are not watered down and they are reasonably priced. The place is mobbed in summer because it is really great. The service is exceptional. All work like a well oiled machine. We ate outside Both times and it was comfortable and friendly. Inside is really pretty and set up well. And parking is really good for Lewes. I will be back !

Kirby M.

Yelp
Nicobolis are awesome! Highly recommend a stop there when you visiting Rehoboth. Cheers
google avatar

Don M.

Yelp
Food was very poor, low grade greasy meet, cheap cheese ingredients, service was lacking. This is a mid price pizza restaurant that apparently can only survive because it is on a very busy highway. Total disappointment on every level. Abandoned most of the food, couldn't wait to leave and eat somewhere else. Grottos Pizza across the street much better choice.

Schlicter L.

Yelp
Oh what you used to be. But now you ain't. Stopped in today on the way back to Maryland. Wife order the nicaboli. I ordered the meatball sub. Her nic a whatever shell was a hard as a dead horseshoe crab. My meatball sub was- the roll was as hard as a dug out wooden canoe filled with meatballs? the size of quail eggs topped with a sheet of cheese that would work as a tarp. In case you don't get it, it sucked. Big time. I had to give it one star otherwise it wouldn't allow me to post. it should be ZERO STARS.
google avatar

Billy V.

Yelp
The chicken parm was delicious but everything else about my experience was bad. First off I really wanted a calzone but the guy working there said they dont sell them. But in fact they do another work told me after I ordered that they were called something else and a semi version of a calzone. Very disappointed at the first experience here how a worker didnt tell me about it until I interacted with a different worker. Secondly it took over 30mins to make my order when they claimed 20min. Also the second worker slipped up too. I asked for no anchovies which he got. But I specifically asked for no peppers and olives and he said that the everything doesnt come with it. I believed him even though I read the menu. Came out that the menu was correct. Just a terrible experience and service. Not to mention the pizza wasnt good either. Overpriced, terrible service, mid pizza. Would not recommend

Jack S.

Yelp
We went to watch the Eagles game of course we had a pitcher of Sam Adams Octoberfest, it was very cold. We had the Special $14 dollar hot wings and zucchini bites both which were excellent. The pizza was good but not my favorite pie in the area. It didn't suck eitherOur waitress and service people were friendly and efficient. The ambience is a very cool sports bar, if you don't mind noise this is your place. Definetly will go back, great place to watch football
google avatar

Gary F.

Yelp
This place is just what you want after a long day of beach/softball. The pizza is really good. Their version of a calzone is really good, the "nic-o-boli". It's right next to a few hotels, which makes it way convenient too. The waitstaff was super friendly. Their takeout was quick too. They were faster than the automated estimate the site gives you.

Jojo S.

Yelp
I give five stars when I can't wait to go there again! I've only had plain cheese pizza and french fries here and they are both so good!!!! Pizza is basic, not even NY/NJ style, but man is it good!!! Fries are beach style and what a great taste!!! And several dollars' cheaper than Grotto. I always say I want to try something else, but I always end up going with the pizza--one of these days. Coke products!!
google avatar

Chuck H.

Yelp
Great tradition. Fun place to eat at and catch a game. Nice seating inside and outside. Food is always good!
google avatar

Lori J.

Yelp
My family and I enjoyed some takeout! I preferred the beef Stromboli and my partner liked the supreme. I always love their salads with the delicious mozz cheese and chicken tenders. This was my first time at the location and the inside is very big and clean. When I ordered the takeout online it said 25-30 minutes but it actually took only 6 minutes! The bottoms of our nicobolis were a bit soggy because of this but still delicious! We got anchovies on the side and they gave us so many which was great as well
google avatar

Joseph O.

Yelp
The only thing better than a pizza is... another pizza! In crust, we trust. Pizza, because anything less is a compromise
google avatar

Jadyn M.

Yelp
We got to-go food. The pizza is good, but we weren't impressed by our other food -- the spicy Stromboli was soggy, as were the fried pickles. When they say you can add bacon to the cheese fries, they mean it. The to-go windows are separate from the restaurant and they have a well honed system. My food was ready very quickly.
google avatar

Sebastian S.

Yelp
The waiter was friendly and efficient. The business was new and clean. The Cheese Fries, and the Nic-O-Boli are delicious. My son, Matthew loved those two options the best. The Turkey Sub is a healthy option and not bad. Also, the pizza is tasty and has a nice soft crust, however, we ordered a pizza with onions, sausage, and green peppers but they forgot the sausage. They did not charge us, but that was a big mistake. We should have been offered something for that mistake, that would have given it a five star rating.

Yelp
I remember this place from like 1998 VERY WELL because Delaware is NOTORIOUS & INFAMOUS for having THE WORST PIZZA in the USA! Of the various jobs I had, I eventually started working at the boardwalk, and I found THIS PLACE! This pizza was SOOOOO GOOD! I NEVER understood why my wicked Step-Family Members couldn't understand that. However, so much time has passed. I did find it interesting that in 2022, in a completely different town, everyone seemed to KNOW this pizza place. Which means, to me, that ALL THE OTHER PIZZA in the area is AWFUL. Anyways, I finally returned, since my Mom moved back to Southern DE, so we made a plan to come here, and she bought me a pizza. I was REALLY looking forward to it! However, my experience was NOT THE SAME AS I REMEMBER. All the people who worked there were PERFECT! So, I thank you guys for that! But, The pizza fell apart, it was soggy, messy, and altho it smelled fantastic, the taste was too bland. So, were my memories more NOSTALGIA???? Or, did it used to be amazing, and just change over time? Or, is pizza just better in other states, and I'm spoiled? I don't know. Its a philosophical quandary. In my head, I always thought of THIS PIZZA as THE TOP BEST OF ALL TIME.... but in 1998-2005.... Or, were standards for pizza in the 20th century different? Was THIS a high quality pizza BACK THEN, and times changed? Or, did they change? Was it TERRIBLE? No. I WOULD still say that FOR DELAWARE this is probably THE BEST as it can get... but, that might seem like a back handed compliment. I've pondered this for weeks, honestly. Honestly, I don't feel this is the best pizza I could possibly get anymore. I guess that's OK tho. You could still make OK pizza, and there's nothing wrong with that. That fact that I was disappointed, and didn't like this pizza all that much, and it was SOOOOO MESSY & Soggy has bothered me for weeks. The bread was not that good, the cheese was not the greatest quality, and the sauce made the cheese fall off. It went all over my hands, nose, face, chin, shirt, and messed up my mom's vehicle. Good pizza SHOULD NOT DO THAT. The ratio of sauce to cheese was way off. WAY TOO MUCH SAUCE. Sauce should be just the right ratio to have the cheese melt and stay on the bread. I'm really sorry.

Yelp
After a long drive to Lewes, we had a craving for pizza. I just happened to see this restaurant after driving around and decided to go here for pizza. The restaurant is spacious with lots of natural lighting. They had an outdoor bar area along with happy hour prices! We didn't go their though. We were seating inside and the place was hoppin'. My daughter ordered the kids tenders with chips. We ordered fries to share-- gotta top it with malt vinegar!! I ordered a salad and slice of cheese pizza. The slice was $3!!! My daughter likes her tenders so much, she finished them and was satisfied. The service was quick. Prices were good. Waitress was friendly. If we visit Lewes again, we will come to Nicola Pizza. No
google avatar

Randy J.

Yelp
Friends invited us here. They are locals, and remember when this place was located down the road and they hung out here as teenagers. They really talked this place up. Loving their nickbolis (basically a folded pizza or Stromboli )and pizza. The parking lot was packed, but the restaurant wasn't, and we were seated right away. The waiter took the orders . I ordered everything nickaboli without anchovies. It does have a lot of pizza ingredients. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. Pizza King or Hungry Howies are much better. The dough was bland, and the sauce was bland. They did have a lot of cheese in them, but overall, it was fair. I truly think our friends like it because of the nostalgia of reminiscing their teenage days. If I go back, I won't order the same item, but they do have a good size menu, so finding something else won't be a problem.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Always love their service and food when we dine in. But, the take out just isn't worth it. Their loyalty program barely ever works and the portions are ridiculously smaller. We ordered an Italian wedding soup for pick up and it didn't even fill 1/2 the container. Out of curiosity what I just spent money on, we measured it out and it didn't even fill a 1C measuring cup. That's ridiculous. According to their counter people "that's a full serving".
google avatar

Patrick C.

Yelp
Hhas been a "go to" place since I was a child. Sad that it is no longer in downtown Rehoboth Beach; however I am very happy that the new space continues their tradition of good pizza and good service.
google avatar

Kate S.

Yelp
It's important to embrace Nicola's for what it is: a long standing family stromboli joint that also does pizza and a few other dishes. They're not fancy and they are not upscale. But, they are very consistent in their quality, taste and service. When they move off of Rehoboth Ave, it will be a real loss to the local community and to visitors alike. I know my family plans to visit them at their new location, as the tradition we grew up with must continue on.
google avatar

Natalie S.

Yelp
I used to come here in my 20s, loved the Nicabolis. It's been 20 years since I've been there. We started off with a slice of pizza which is still as good as I remembered it We shared the Nicaboli, and added sausage to it. Loved the cheese, sauce, didnt care for the dough that everything was wrapped in. Nicolas has been around for 50 years. You have to check it out if you're in Rheeboth beach.
google avatar

Tracy S.

Yelp
What a great bartender and hostess! We enjoyed the pizza and crushes too :) The older gentleman bartender was really personable and attentive and the hostess was a joy! We are excited to visit the upstairs by elevator in our next trip to Nicklebacks :)
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
Excellent service and great selection of traditional Italian cuisine with the Nicola twist. Outside seating is quieter than the din inside.

Daniel K.

Yelp
I got a regular 12-inch pizza. I don't like that the mushrooms get buried into the cheese because they end up less cooked with little texture or flavor. I'll just go with pepperoni and olives next time. Otherwise, the pizza was good. It's a big portion for 1 person, especially given the cheese layer is thick. I removed some, but even still I couldn't quite finish it. The service was quick and friendly, checking back multiple times on refills. There's plenty of TVs, good music being played at a reasonable volume, and clean restrooms with paper towels.

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
The pizza was great. So was my husband's Nicoboli except for the fact that he didn't order that. He ordered a mini personal everything pizza but what he got was a boli with everything. Ok fine, our server seemed very agitated so we didn't bother sending it back. We ordered fries for the table as an appetizer. We were looking forward to putting vinegar on them but the vinegar on the table was very watered down. I've been going to this restaurant as a kid (the original location) so I will definitely go back but it was disappointing. Why offer watered down vinegar?
google avatar

Ry M.

Yelp
Nicola Pizza has moved out of Rehoboth Beach and relocated to a new building in Lewes off Route 1. There's is plenty of ample parking and a separate takeout window. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of seating - great for families and large groups. There is an outdoor area opened when the weather is warm. The inside area has a huge bar and great cocktails - their orange crushes are freshly squeezed and amazing. The fries are piping hot. And their pizza is amazing - love their pepperoni pizza!
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
Been coming here over 25 years, and new location is convenient stop in or out of town for. Nic-o-boli's are worth it. Everything else can be skipped. Favorite combo is ground beef and mushroom. I got ground beef and spinach once and it was a little watery.
google avatar

Stacy B.

Yelp
Ordered through the online service Nicola works with. Order was an hour late and wrong. Nicola took no responsibility. In fact they were rude when we called. On top of that the pizza was literally tasteless. Sauce and cheese had no flavor and crust was barely cooked. Don't bother.
google avatar

Kerry N.

Yelp
This is a local favorite. The location is large with ample parking. The menu offers many options of typical Italian(ish) American dishes. The service is quick, but a bit disjointed. The meals are dropped as they leave the kitchen, so the whole table isn't served together. It may be 5 minutes between serving times. The options are to be rude or eat cold food. They are truly obsessed with the idea of fat free bread and their play on a word for Stromboli. If you want to feed a crowd on the cheap, quickly, this is a great place. This is not a restaurant to compare to authentic Italian dishes or high end Italian cuisine. Don't get me wrong, someone's Nonna's may have cooked like this, but it's not "bragging rights" food. Quick, simple, cheap Italian adjacent food for the whole family. Keno too!
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
This place has a really good vibe. We love our bartender Liz, and she always takes really good care of us. We spent a football Sunday up here and it was so fun! The drink specials are definitely really nice and I absolutely love the pepperoni rolls. Having this place, so close to home is definitely a perk as well. They have a variety of things on their menu and their salads are really wholesome as well.
google avatar

Joanna L.

Yelp
I have heard they have the best pizza in Rehoboth, it was pretty good but I can't say the best. We Aldo got an order of the cheese fries and it was so plentiful and cheesy I almost had no room for pizza and we definitely didn't even finish half. I had a mango crush, it was yummy and refreshing after being in the heat of the summer sun. Not strong at all, or maybe misleading if I had had more than one. They are closing this location and relocating to Dewey if I remember correctly

Yelp
Since it's across the street from our hotel, we got take out a second time, but this time we got 2 strombolis - one ground beef and one chicken with jalapeños. And an order of mozzarella sticks appetizer. The Strombolis were both very good, large portions. The chicken jalapeño was soggy on the bottom, not to say it wasn't very good, but to say only that utensils were needed, whereas the ground beef Stromboli could be eaten by hand. They don't come cut in half, luckily we had a knife in the hotel, but keep that in mind if ordering to go. Mozzarella sticks were very good.
