Just ate the best Italian sub I’ve ever had. It was so good!!! Wings were very tasty! The desert was fantastic I can’t remember the name but they were donuts. Delicious! Great customer service beyond exceptional. Highly recommend!!

Joseph Pellegrino

Google
The pizza here is absolutely amazing and delicious. The ingredients and pizza are always fresh. The only thing I would change about their pizza is the size. Their slices are pretty small and they are charging what other pizza places charge. If they made bigger slices I guarantee they would get more business.

Grace Pankuck

Google
good food, bad service. any time we needed something (including ordering our food) we had to call over a waiter or get up to find one. there were like four workers and like three tables of customers, so it didn’t feel like an issue of being busy. they forgot my order entirely too:/

Deidre Mckinney

Google
It's good pizza but the prices are insane. In no way is the slice worth 4 dollars. It's really good but 4 dollars for a slice it should be maybe cut into 1/4 . That's 32 dollars off one pie. That's way overpriced. I would come back every day if they cut the price by 1/3 or made the slices 1/4 or at least 1/6 but I can't justify paying that much for a pie and then being asked to tip at the register for a slice to go. That's wild to me.

Dervish

Google
The Elver at the cash register said the order would be ready in 3 minutes but it took 20 minutes. He is a super successful person.

Google
pizza was way undercooked tonight- almost raw. had it delivered so we just ate it. normally they are nice and crispy. very disappointed. a $75.00 waste

suzanne holmes

Google
Top notch staff. Super cheerful girl taking orders for take out and greeting you at the counter. Delivery person was so friendly. Classico pizza, though small is amazing. Easily best pizza around and this is coming from a Hoboken native. The tomato sauce is so fresh. Bravo!

Google
I got a pepperoni pizza for the first time. I got home and tried to chew the pizza. The crust was so hard I couldn’t chew the crust. My Great Dane had a hard time chewing as well. I have never had worst pizza. It looked great. But the crust was like eating a shoe.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I dined there the other day and we had a nice time. The dining area is definitely upscale for a pizzeria which is really nice. Our server appeared to be the only one working besides the gentleman making pizzas. He got a little busy while we were there but he handled it quite well. We started with an appetizer of meatballs which were good in sustenance but I didn't care for the sauce too much. Hence the 4 stars. My boyfriend liked it more than I did. It was too tangy for my taste. For our meals my boyfriend had the Chopt salad and I had the Torchia. We both enjoyed our meals. My meal was perfectly spiced and I was glad the space wasn't like the meatballs because I would have been totally disappointed if it was. Our server was attentive to us even as the place got busy. He refilled drinks before necessary which is always a good thing especially when eating something spicy. The restaurant is a bit of a drive for us but I would definitely go back and try a different appetizer or even their pizza. Everything that passed our table looked yummy.

Yelp
Salt. Salt. More salt. Small pizzas. Overpriced. Plenty of other places to get much better pizza and a fair and reasonable price. Will not be back.

Yelp
Nicoletta has always been my quick bite spot. Service is always great thanks so much to all staff members treating me right. Foods always phenomenal and consistent

Yelp
Food is good but customer service is lacking. I recently placed a delivery order but became concerned once I received the email confirmation. The recipe stated we wanted pickup, I called the restaurant to confirm delivery and was met with the food will be here when you show up "I don't see a door dash person coming to get it" I reiterated I placed a delivery order through your toast tab site for delivery, again was met with your food it here, don't know what to tell you, nobody is coming to deliver your food!" Never again!

Mags M.

Yelp
Amazing pizza and salads. Attached to Osteria Morini next door. Meatballs are also amazing.

Marti E.

Yelp
Pizza is good. But customer service is lacking. The server does not listen and the request had to be repeated. There is no reason to return.

Jamie L.

Yelp
experinced very rude customer service. was standing in the wrong place when the manager point and said "you" stand over here.

Yelp
I always order the calabrese pie. I place my order online and when I pick it up it's ready. The always seem a busy with plenty of people waiting for pizza.
google avatar

Lauren G.

Yelp
I wish I could give half stars 3.5-4 is how I would rate this place. Service was great- Lauren was very attentive and nice. Food: Pizza was average - I did like the eggplant (parmigiana) it reminded me of my italian grand mother - hit me in the feels! I needed more sauce for that pizza though! I give that pizza a 4 the others 3.5 We got mozzarella sticks /balls that were actually super good as well! Drinks : very good- from next door Not bad but not superb - I'd go back for the parmigiana
google avatar

Yelp
We came here for their Valentine's deal - $40 for 1 appetizer, 1 specialty pizza, and 2 glasses of wine - and had a great experience. We ordered the Italian cheese balls (crispy mozzarella fritters dipped in marinara sauce) and the Calabrese pizza (topped with thick cut pepperoni, fennel sausage, red onions, and mozzarella). Everything was pleasing both aesthetically and gustatorily (is that a word?), especially the pepperoni. I loved that the pizza was served on a little elevated platform that attaches to the side of the table so it doesn't take up too much room. The normal prices are a tad on the high side ($20+ for a pizza, yikes!) but I would definitely come again.

Yelp
Someone needs to oversee the quality control. New to town, ordered this meatball parm, second time ordering a meatball parmigiana here, ordered the same thing 2 weeks ago & it's as if these came from two different completely different restaurants all together. The previous order was on fresh baked crusty on the outside soft on the inside perfectly toasted baguette but had almost no marinara, it was bone dry. Perfect except dry because barely a smear of marinara sauce. No problem, I'll orders again with extra sauce next time. Which is exactly what I did today. Unfortunately today's version is a limp, almost raw bread that tastes like a hot dog roll; soft, doughy with zero crunch or texture. Sandwich also has zero mozzarella cheese, which is odd since I ordered meatball PARM! Last weeks version came with fresh mozzarella cheese, nicely melted... today's version, no cheese on a the meatball parm. Total disappointment. I have no clue now which is the correct way this sandwich is supposed to look or taste but i won't be ordering it again any time soon.

Yelp
Ok Pete from New Jersey.com got this one totally wrong this place is was ok not the best in Somerset county nj !!! The place was very clean , updated and trendy that's about it ! We ordered three pies the large or reg size pie was the size of every nj pizzeria small size . Price are super inflated average pie is 20 bucks ! Give me a break ! Ok pizza pie should not cost 20 bucks ! This isn't joes in union or Santillos in Elizabeth! So save your money for ok pizza and visit another spot . This place was a real let down especially for being a top pizza restaurant.

John B.

Yelp
I saw this place on a list of best pizza places in NJ and stopped in when I happened to be in the area. I ordered the Tartufata pie and it was like the best pizza I'd had in years. Hard to describe how good it was. Per the menu the pizza has prosciutto cotto, mushrooms, truffle cream, mozzarella. the truffle cream is so good it feels like you're eating something entirely new, not just another pizza. I'm looking forward to being back in the area and popping in again.

Yelp
We came to Nicoletta for a Sunday afternoon lunch. Had the lunch special which is a quarter pie with one topping, choice of salad and a drink for $9. Small but adequate sized portion. They are smaller slices than other pizzerias in the area. I had the pepperoni, my SO had the meatball with caesar salad. We both enjoyed our choices. For a sweet treat, we got their vanilla soft serve vanilla gelato. My SO had the peanut butter explosion. He would have preferred chocolate ice cream, but he said it was a nice compliment to the pizza. I was a little disappointed that the homemade chipwich was not on the menu after seeing a picture on here from a couple years ago. Overall enjoyed it. Will be back to try the specialty pizzas that sounded delicious.
google avatar

Zoe L.

Yelp
I love the lunch special, what a steal! You get a drink, salad and a 1/4 pizza with one topping for $9 Best Caesar salad, homemade dressing you can taste.

Yelp
Awesome place for a party. They provide mustaches chefs hats doe sauce cheese. They keep the place clean nice rustic wood floor. Super high celling.

Yelp
Tried Nicolette for the first time because we were given a giftcard. We loved it! The pizza is not only delicious, but it looked beautiful! Also got the chicken parm, which was delicious. The pasta is so fresh tasting. Great and quick service. We wished we left room for dessert because there wasn't an item on that menu we wouldn't have wanted to try. Love the trendy decor and pics on the wall. And the pizza stands on the table! We will be back!
google avatar

Brandon B.

Yelp
Simply amazing! I love this place! The pizza is perfect. Really fresh ingredients and the pizza is always hot and fresh as well. My personal favorites are the buffalo chicken and the classica. They cook the pizzas in a gas brick oven. The crust and overall dough of the pizza is to die for. I'd also like to note that the tomato sauce is probably one the best tomato sauces I've ever had on a pizza. The prices are fair, especially for the quality of pizza you're getting. They have a different pizza special each day of the week for you to take advantage of. The service and atmosphere are excellent as well. The dining is very clean and modern, and the staff is very attentive and quick. This has easily become my favorite place to grab a pie in NJ.

Yelp
Ooh this place is dangerous and addicting! We've been here a few times now -- went on the fly tonight and were planning on just getting dessert. But once the fragrant pizza air hit our nostrils, we were rendered powerless and ordered a custom pizza with 1/2 pepperoni and meatballs, 1/2 peppers and onions. Definitely ask for a side of their Parmesan to sprinkle on - it's got spices in it! We told the waitress we were kind of in a rush, and the service was excellent. Our pizza came out within 10 minutes. Drink refills were quick and we were in and out in 35 minutes! The pizza is really, really good. Toppings are super fresh, sauce is sweet and chunky and the crust is a great mix of crusty and soft. We did answer to our sweet tooth, and ordered two of their homemade "chipwiches" to go. We totally demolished them as soon as we got the car started. We will definitely be back, probably too often!

Yelp
Order your 14" pie at the counter, then grab a table and they'll bring you a draft beer or a glass of wine to ease your wait, and you won't wait long. Nicoletta is a fine choice for custom-made pizza in a hurry, doesn't take a lot longer than the usual suspect slice joints but tastes far better. A tad too noisy for adult conversation tho; not cheap either. Six pies on the menu, a short list, of course you can build your own. We tried the bianca (white pie with 3 cheeses & thyme, funky and yummy $18), calabrese (pepp-sausage-onion mmmmmmeaty $20), tartufata (mushrooms with truffled cream sauce, super rich $22) and parmigiana (thin strips of fried eggplant plus mutz $19). All very good, solid char on the bottom of the crust & done clear to the middle of the pie. Each pie is 8 slices, half a pie was more than I wanted for lunch. But wings? Why do they have wings? Don't ask silly questions. We came back a few days later for the wings. Alas they are overpriced at $8 for 6 and underspiced in tomato sauce, don't rush in for these. Vegetarian rating: 4 stars again, given 5 veggies (olive mushroom spinach pepper onion) and 4 cheeses (mozzarella ricotta provolone parmiggiano) you easily should be able to concoct something great. Salads too. Yes gelato but no gelato bar, it comes from .. wait for it .. a soft-serve machine. Wot!? Was a new one on me, just one flavor, haven't tried it yet. About 30 seats in the bright & noisy front dining room, and about that many more in the (dark & quiet) back room. Shares a liquor license (and bathrooms :) with sister restaurant Osteria Morini next door. Just opened Jan 2015! Friendly staff and no opening jitters when we visited, seemed like a well-olive-oiled machine that was cranking out the pies. Take out but no delivery yet. Now in all seriousness, how much am I supposed to tip at a place that only has food runners -- nobody taking orders or pouring water? At five guys where I pay up front I might thru a buck in the pot, but here at Nicoletta they don't collect up front, they bring the bill when you're done, and of course there's a line for a tip. Message me, I need opinions, thanks.

Yelp
Simply the best pizza in somerset county. Ingredients are the best around and the sauce is simply delicious. I highly recommend the Calabrese, it's my favorite pizza. It will be a $20 pie but it's beyond worth it. Delicious!
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
I read about this pizza place on NJ.com. The writer extolled the virtues of their Calabrese pizza, an impressive pie chock full of sausage, thick cut ronies, red onion. It was a nice write up so I bookmarked the place and promptly forgot about it. Fast forward to late July of this year and my recollection of this spot was refreshed as I walked out of Osteria Morini next door. Grabbed a menu and pledged not to forget again. One rainy day last week, I placed a take out order for two pies. One Calabrese and a sausage and red onion pizza. The pies were ready when I arrived. A thank you from the staff would have been nice. But who gets everything they want in life? The pizzas were delicious. A little too much cheese for me but these babies were loaded with toppings that were not only generously applied but were extremely tasty. Very impressive. We'll be back again soon.
google avatar

Gina G.

Yelp
So delicious!!! Best meatballs on the planet. And the sausage and broccoli Raab was incredible, as was their Pizza. We sat outside and waited for our take out and met Charlie. He was getting the patio ready for their connecting restaurant, Osteria Morini, opening. What a great guy. Great conversation. We are looking forward to seeing him again and trying one of his cocktails. So happy to have found this gem of a place. Either for take out or sit down dining!!!

Yelp
My family went to this pizzeria last night to have a small celebration dinner. Lauren, our waitress, was terrific from the start. She was knowledgeable of the menu and the portions for each. She was very friendly, attentive and engaging. She really made us very happy that we decided to have our dinner here. None of us live in the area and were meeting nearby for a late night bite. The Nicoletta Salad was very good and we were very happy that the salad was prepared "chopped". The mozzarella balls were very tasty and a nice starter. The wings, rigatoni with meatballs were very good as well. The pizzas (Classica, Calabrese, Funghi and Porky Pie) were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed everything that was served to us and Lauren made our experience even better.
google avatar

Lou C.

Yelp
Not terrible, not great. Right down the middle. Pizza was undercooked, but a good sauce and decent cheese.
google avatar

Camp B.

Yelp
This place gets rave reviews locally therefore i was interested in trying it! Unfortunately, I found it to be overpriced and not as delicious as I had anticipated. In thought the portions were small and overpriced for what your receiving.
google avatar

Yelp
Pizza was just okay. I traveled a bit to pick it up because this place was listed as best pizza for Somerset County. The pepperoni pizza looked just like the pic in paper. The mushroom pizza was pretty darn good but at $22 I'll pass on that. Also, these are smaller "artisan" pies so we got a few with the mozzarella balls as an app. I got the meatball pasta dish for the kids. They liked the meatballs but as an Italian adult I can tell you they were gross. With a thick sauce like they just used tomato paste. The pasta is orange and that with the red sauce just made for a super ugly plate of rigatoni. That too was nearly $20. The only good part about the fried mozzarella balls was listening to my nephew say "these balls are soooo good", he's five. I thought they were trash. So a 5 year old and 1 year old liked the app and pasta but not 3 adults. Use your own judgement there. The plain pie was boring because of the tomato paste-style sauce. The special pies were good so I gave three stars. The counter people were pleasant enough so that's in the 3 stars as well. I won't be back because it wasn't good enough to drop $90 at a pizza place that feels fast food and mass produced. The mike's subs of pizza kinda feeling.
google avatar

Thomas Z.

Yelp
Ordered half calabrese and half tartufata. They have two sections, one where you sit down and order and one where you order in the front and they bring it to you. If you order at the front and want to sit in the back of the restaurant they won't let you ("causes confusion" lol wtf) and you'll have to sit in the front. But about the food: pretty good. The truffle flavor was a bit too overwhelming on the tartufata, but the calabrese was really good. The classic looked good too

Michael R.

Yelp
Service here has gotten atrocious. Manager did not even care. 'She told you 40 minutes.". Yes, but add an additional 30 that I waited on top of that as part of the order sat getting cold until the last item was ready. Was told a few minutes more every 5 minutes. There are so many italian places in the area. I waited 10 minutes on hold to place the order to start. AND the restaurant was only about 20% occupied. Avoid this nightmare
google avatar

Tom D.

Yelp
Poor business that refuses to deliver to areas that they promise. I'm sure their pizza is pretty terrible because if it was good they might actually have an incentive to deliver to their customers. Don't support a business with such terrible customer service.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
I am in town on business and just got my second delivery from Nicoletta Pizza. Delicious, fresh, quick delivery, I could go on but won't. Just order something, so far everything I have ordered has been way above average delivery!
google avatar

Propa G.

Yelp
We had their tartufata pizza and it was to die for. we were craving something unusually good with some truffle or something on it and it totally hit the spot! The carne pizza was good too, but tartufata was better we thought. Can't really vouch for the rest of it but what we had was delicious. Thanks to our friend for recommending this place!
google avatar

Hirschman C.

Yelp
Probably the only restaurant in Central Jersey worthy of a 5 stars. Despite the small menu, the food is incredible. I recommend getting the Lasagna, it is great!

Raul S.

Yelp
Great pizza love the flavors crust tastes absolutely incredible and fantastic service

Yelp
The kids Sunday free pizza was great. The appetizer meatballs were also good. The customer service was good we were greeted nicely. Definitely recommend this pizzeria!
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
Overpriced for ordinary food we ordered two entrees which had very little taste It's looks like a great place however once you sit down it goes down hill the staff is friendly however the owners need to rethink what they are trying to do
google avatar

Stephen T.

Yelp
I'm so sorry to say but the pizza was average. When I saw the brick oven I was so excited to hopefully have a fabulous pizza experience in Bernards Ville New Jersey Once my friend and I started eating the pizza we immediately felt something was not right. My friend said to me I bet this is not really a coal for wood burning oven. It just looks like one. In the end we found that it's gas and the pizza represented that. I would bet that the average pizza lover would enjoy this pizza but not for someone who is used to real wood or coal burning oven made pizza. See my other recommendations for New Jersey style pizza that will knock your socks off.
google avatar

Kirsten H.

Yelp
Service was five stars-our waitress and everyone else we encountered was incredibly friendly! I gave Nicoletta three stars for the pizza. It was definitely good, but a bit oily and nothing outrageous. In my opinion it's still the best pizza option in Bernardsville and Basking Ridge!
google avatar

Donna K.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I stumbled into Nicoletta's the first time while I was between appointments, and the first impression was: This is not your typical pizzeria. In fact, calling it a pizzeria does not do its trendy, clean, upscale decor justice! I brought clients in at another time and they remarked how inviting and fresh it was! I must say I tend to get the lunch special when I come in: 1/4 Classica with a topping, greens or caesar salad, and a fountain drink for $9. What a deal! The salad is Fresh, the pizza is Crispy and the toppings are as Fresh as you can get. Some reviews commented on the small pizza servings: I find that refreshing also, and even one of my guests took home a leftover package! After reading the other reviews I can't wait to try some of the other pizzas, maybe take one home! There's beer and wine and "happy hours" all week. I never had a bad server and the attention has been perfect (Let me say that I haven't experienced a huge crowd as I went at lunch time.) This is really a place to make a "go to" place if you reside or work in the area.
google avatar

Curt N.

Yelp
Loved the pizza, and it's been too long a wait for brick oven pizza in this area. Semolina on the bottom of the crust, fresh basil - not dried and sprinkled on top, perfect browned / blackened bubbles on the crust, all drizzling down your arm like a good slice should. Only had the take out, but will definitely be back to try to dine in. Seems like a very small menu (might be because I had take out), and pretty pricey even for this area. Overall it's totally worth the trip.
google avatar

Sara Z.

Yelp
Yum. Really loved this pizza. We get the one with pepperonis and fennel sausage. The pizzas are not as large as most places, but every bite is just really good. We have only had take out so I cannot comment on the service. All three visits have been solid and we will definitely keep ordering from here. Parking is ample and prices are a bit pricey.
google avatar

Drew K.

Yelp
I'm kind of lukewarm on Nicoletta. I really want to love it, as I'm a big fan of brick oven pizza. The Calabrese is a very solid pie, assuming you like pepperoni and sausage. There is also a mushroom, garlic and spinach pie that is excellent. The sauce is a touch on the sweet side, though, and I'm not a big fan of any of the other pizzas I've tried from there. As for entrees, the eggplant rollatini is just OK, and very small in portion. Their entrees are more like appetizers in size, although they are priced that way as well. A big surprise was their buffalo wings, which are great. Another standout is their soft serve gelato. Delicious and fresh with interesting toppings. Try the pistachio brittle...amazing. I would go to Millie's meatballs in Morristown for better pizza and entrees. I'd come back if I didn't feel like driving to Motown, or if I wanted the gelato. Edit 2016 - I still like this place, and I kind of appreciate their vibe more over time. I raised them a star.

Lee R.

Yelp
We order the Calabresse pie with no onion's. Best thick cut pepperoni pie in NJ. The pepperoni comes out perfect with the oils adding wonderful flavor to the pie. The sausage is hidden in the cheese and brings good flavor as well.
google avatar

Julian C.

Yelp
For one of the top 10 pizzerias in New Jersey, Nicoletta's is somehow there. When I walked in, it shouldn't even be in the top 100. The place was dead and it costs 3 bucks for a bland slice of pizza. 3 BUCKS FOR A SLICE OF PIZZA. I wouldn't even pay $1.50 for a slice. The Parmesan cheese and basil on my pizza actually made it worse. I just wanted a plain slice, but Nicoletta's can't even do that right. If I could use three words to talk about Nicoletta's I'd use, overpriced, bland, and crap.
google avatar

Michael V.

Yelp
The Classica pizza and linguine with clams were fantastic. Fresh ingredients, well-priced, and great service. We will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Hokie F.

Yelp
Part of my favorite restaurant group, this place is off to a decent start. Salads were fresh and well presented. Pizzas could have a bit more char on the crust as was visible on our neighboring table. Service is inexperienced and very young. Surprisingly, not BYOB.

Melissa D.

Yelp
Not sure what happened as I had takeout a few months back and it was a totally different pizza pie than I had today. The pizza was awful and although the restaurant wasn't busy, the service was horribly slow. Had our waitress cared to ask how the food was or even offer to get us drinks or clear the dirty plates, I would've told her.
google avatar

Ronald J.

Yelp
So, they only make gluten free pizza on Tuesdays, which is a big let down because it is by far the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Most places buy gluten free crust from a supplier and it tastes like a pancake, they make theirs from scratch and it shows. Collin is a younger guy who manages the pizzeria--he is super friendly and after seeing him a few weeks in a row has become a welcoming smile. I bent over backwards for me one day and whipped up some gluten free pizza from scratch on a day when they do not offer it. Pizza is reasonably priced and has very good flavor and consistency.

Matthew S.

Yelp
We ordered takeout from Nicoletta for the 1st time in a long time to see if it had improved. Sadly it has not. We ordered a Classica, a pie topped with fried eggplant (can't remember the name), and a side of meatballs. Both pies and the meatballs were just okay. Pretty average taste and way too salty. One thing that really stood out was the perfectly round pies. I thought this place more of a rustic pie kind of place and I expected the pies to be a little less round. It almost seemed like the crust was pre-made and it kind of tasted that way too. I don't think this is the case but it just wasn't good. The fact that this place gets away with charging the prices they charge for such an inferior product and manages to stay in business is mind boggling.
