Nicoletta's Table and Marketplace

They were busy setting up for Carnival. So the seating and service was slow at first, but once we had our service going, it was excellent service! We started off with the Arancini. The rice balls were perfectly fried so the crispy rice blended with the gooey mozzarella. The four pieces were accompanied by their fresh, simple and tasty marinara. Our two entries were the PAPPARDELLE AL CINGHIALE and the PARMIGIANA DI POLLO. The cinghiale pork was not overcooked, still had a chew to it and was tossed in their marinara. The chicken in the parmigiana was crispy, but slightly overcooked, but otherwise good. In summary, it's Lake Oswego prices, but I recommend coming to Niciletta's.

FORMERLY FABULOUS We came back to dine here after being absent for a couple years and found it to be very mid. Seating in the area with the bar is super loud and our party of three struggled to carry a conversation. Our server was difficult to hear speak, not necessarily friendly, brought drinks after our appetizers arrived, and didn’t refill our water glasses unless asked. All of this would be acceptable if the food was good. Arancini- Fantastic. Best executed dish we had. Bread Plate: If they’re going to serve day+ old focaccia, they should go back to including it in your meal complimentary. I loved the garlic oil and butter served with it. Pasta noodles are fun and the bread they don’t bake in house was fresh/delicious. Caesar Salad- Ordered a large and got what I would consider a small. Very tasty, though? With housemade croutons and dressing. Pepperoni Pizza-Nothing special, but very fair price. Special Crab Ravioli- Raviolis were fabulous, but sauce/overall dish was boring and bland.

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend and we absolutely loved our experience here. We ordered the arancini, Caesar salad with anchovies, chicken parm and dungeness crab ravioli, as well as a beer and the pomegranate limoncello spritz. The flavors were incredible. We were seated on the left-hand side of the restaurant which is modern and new, beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was perfect. Not loud but very comfortable. Out seats looked into the corner of the kitchen and even that was enjoyable to see. Beautiful baskets, well organized, and we got to watch a cook prepare dough which was really fascinating. The chairs were gorgeous and comfy too.There was a family with multiple little babes next to us, it was great to see them passing the babies around and enjoying family time, which made us feel like we could bring our littles next time. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. I love the little market and plan to return to but some gifts. The only minor complaint was that the arancini was slightly warm, not hot but the cheese was good and stretchy -we didn't even bring this up to the waiter bc the taste was so good we didn't care too much.

I have lived in Lake Oswego for 30 years, and this was one of the most upsetting dining experiences I’ve had. We were told we could sit at the bar in about 20 minutes while waiting for a table. Despite several empty bar stools, we were repeatedly refused and left standing, while other guests who arrived at the same time were seated at the bar. When I asked again after waiting 20–30 minutes, I was told :"You should have made a reservation" and was then told, “Maybe you should just leave and come back another time.” We stayed and had dinner, but the experience remained uncomfortable and unpleasant. What made this worse was learning afterward that this person, Courtney H. was the general manager, who later responded to my Yelp review by saying it is a “privilege” to dine at her restaurant. Courtesy and respect should not be considered a privilege. That attitude reinforces a perception of Lake Oswego as unwelcoming and elitist, which is unfortunate and unfair. Restaurants should be welcoming spaces for everyone, not places where courtesy is treated as a privilege.

When you walk in there's a full deli style counter and mini store with all sorts of oils, herbs, pasta salads, Gelato, sweets and more. Once we were seated, that's when the wonderful began. Yhe atmosphere was great and the servers were attentive. We really enjoyed the beverage selection and LOVED THE FOOD!!

This Italian is perfect. Very elegant, tasteful, and robust flavors. The starters were great and not too filling at all. They give you fresh bread at the beginning, which is baked to perfection in house. House made cocktails with seasonal mottled fruit was fantastic! Highly recommend.

We had the best Server name Stephanie H. She’s was very personable, made excellent food recommendations, and made our Valentines dinner (with our toddler) pleasant from start to finish. The boys that bussed our table were to par and the food courses out with perfect timing. This by far is our favorite Italian restaurant in Oregon to-date. We loved every meal we ordered.

Where were the FOH/BOH managers on a Saturday night? We loved dining here and have eaten here many times both with family and for business. The food last night was inconsistent. The bread board was cold, my pizza was warmish, the fettuccine was bland. Unfortunately, it was the service that was most frustrating and took away from what should have been a lovely family dinner. It took a very long time for us to be able to order drinks, so much so that we ended up ordering appetizers at the same time. Our menus stayed on the table until after we had finished our appetizers, which meant we couldn’t order dinner until then and created a large gap between courses. Our table was quite small, and with menus, drinks, appetizers, decorations, and glassware all left in place, it became difficult to manage the space that we even started moving items to the back counter just to make room. We weren’t checked on during dinner and didn’t receive more water until the end of the meal. I tried to flag someone down for salt and eventually caught a busser’s attention, who brought us a dirty salt and pepper shaker. The most uncomfortable part of the experience was that our server worked exclusively from my side of the table. They repeatedly reached across me to refill drinks, deliver food, clear plates, and retrieve menus, which made me feel like I was constantly in the way. At checkout, the credit card machine was placed directly on top of my leftovers, which I had to move. At the end of the meal, we wanted to order something from the bakery to go. The server said they could order anything for us, but there was no menu to look at. We went up to the bakery counter to browse and stood there for about five minutes without any assistance, so we eventually left without purchasing anything though we would have happily ordered cookies to go if we’d been helped or had a menu at the table. All of these small details added up and ultimately detracted from what should have been an enjoyable evening. This was very out of character for our past experiences here.

Pretty good, chill staff, chill place the inside felt modern while having that old time style. Food was pretty good it was all fresh I think, just chill place would recommend even for the prices.

It's not bad. 3.5 stars from me. Food is pretty good. I hesitate to claim it's amazing, but I have very high standards when it comes to Italian Food. It is one of the better Italian restaurants in the area. Service is great and while it's located in a strip mall, the inside ambiance is nice. They have a market, main dining areas, and private dining rooms.

I'm a little surprised that the reviews for this place are pretty lackluster? The times I have visited Nicoletta's have all been outstanding. We've had the same server the last few times we've been and she's been phenomenal. Knows the menu and specials forward and backward by heart (impressive), and is happy to help with any questions or offer recommendations. I've had the pesto pasta here and also a salad with so many goodies; both of those dishes were just right in their own way. Their deli and prepared food up front also look to die for!

I enjoyed every bite of my food. I also bought pasta and soup to take home for the weekend. I will definitely be eating here of a regular basis.

I reviewed this 6 year ago, and it's still 3 stars. For different reasons. I think the food is amazing. Unfortunately, too expensive. Portions small to medium. Bread surprisingly hard and dry. Ambience not particularly intimate. Service professional but ungracious. What kind of server stands over you when you select the gratuity? However, my biggest disappointment is the cost. 40 dollars for a medium to small pasta dish??? I'm not going back for dinner again. Summer lunch on the patio is quite nice, however.

It's impossible to review Nicoletta's without mentioned the lack of of a proper and welcoming greeting. Heck, I'll take even an acknowledgment or at least eye contact. We had reservations for 6:30 and when I approached the hostess station, the woman could barely lift her head from the computer screen to acknowledge me. it actually took several minutes. When she finally did, it was as if I was bothering her. She told me my table for two would be available soon, to "stand over there" pointing to a space between the market shelves. I explained that I'm using a cane, and it's difficult to stand, and asked if there was somewhere to sit while we waited. She once again told me to stand "over there" and she would be with me in a minute. Her head remained glued to the computer screen, and even as other customers arrived, she never greeted anyone with a smile or friendly hello. She was consistent in one thing, all customers received the same dismissing attitude and the "wait over there" direction. No one understanding where "there" was. Well, 15 minutes later, with more and more people now waiting between the various shelves of market pantry items, squeezed between the market and dining area and in the way of the wait staff, constantly stepping aside to let them through, maneuvering with my cane, we were finally brought to our table. One they had shoved in front of the pizza oven bar, with no other tables near us or in the vicinuty, and just an inch from the doorway to one of the dining areavicinity, was sitting at the bar, which was roped off. It was an awkward seating arrangement to say the least. Not comfortable and it felt like we were an afterthought sitting in a random spot, not part of either of the two dining rooms or the bar area. Plus, the table had no room for the food we were ordering, which arrived on ginormous platters and dishes. I was constantly flagging down random servers and handing them dishes so we had room on the table. Either use smaller dishes or invest in larger tables! For appetizers, we selected the arancini, usually a favorite of mine. While their's was crispy on the outside and did have cheese oozing inside amongst the rice, there was little flavor. Just tasted fried. Needed salt or parmigiana inside to give it flavor. We also ordered their "famous" meatballs which were hard and dense. Meatballs should be tender and flavorful. I didn't eat more than a bite. A basket of focaccia and thin crispy bread was served, both so over salted we told them to take it away. We wanted the fresh spring pea salad, but at 6:30pm, they were already sold out. So we split the basic Italian salad which was very good. It had radicchio and some olives with shavings of parmigiana and a nice kick from the pepperoncini and vinegar. For the main, we both chose the carbonara, my friend had the gluten free pasta. It's great that they provide this option. The pasta is made fresh and you can tell. We both really like the flavor profile of the Carnonara, made the classic way with eggs, cheese, guancale and pasta water, no cream. There was plenty of the rich sauce, creamy from the technique, and coated the perfectly al dente spaghetti. Definitely a delicious dinner. In addition to the dining options, they have a marketplace where you can buy premade items like Caprese salad, pasta salad, the meatballs, arancini, pizza by the slice, Italian deli meats and cheeses. There were no prices, which is a pet peeve of mine. Maybe those in Lake Oswego don't need to worry about prices, but the rest of us do. The shelves of pantry items, olive oil, fig jam, olive oils, Prosecco and wine were a foodies dream! Yes, I'm speaking for myself! Would be a great place to make a gift basket or pick up something special for yourself or a friend. Food was inconsistent and ranges from 2 - 4 stars. Hostess was consistent, there was zero service for anyone, so earned 0 stars. Servers were young and learning, but trying hard. 4 stars.

Customer service is poor, or maybe it's completely how it's supposed to be for a snooty European feel. Came in for lunch at 1:20 with my 3 year old for a lunch date. 3 parties that came after me were sat before me. Maybe they gave reservations? But the restaurant was EMPTY. Also, was not greeted by the hostess upon entering, not even an acknowledgement. Told she would seat us "in like 5 minutes" then disappeared. Another wait staff comes 10 minutes later and asks my name. I ask if it will be long as I have a toddler who is hungry and didn't mind as long as I knew how much I may have to wait. The other wait staff sat me immediately to a seat that was vacant since I walked in. Once sat the woman at the bar was much friendlier. Took our orders quickly, food came out shortly after. Which was perfect and delicious. Very disappointed that hostess was less than friendly.

Experience at Nicoletta's was a 3/5 taking into account meal price, portion sizes, and overall quality of food. It just wasn't a meal I was very impressed by, the Pappardelle was a little too sweet for a meat sauce for my liking. The ambiance is very cute and comfortable inside! Felt a bit rushed to eat our meals, I tend to be a slower eater. New and training staff were trying hard and super sweet.

Our Friday night date and we had a wonderful time. Make reservations...we could see wait times were a little long. The wait area feeds into the shop with many treats to buy from their homemade pasta to gelatos. We sat outdoors in the patio areas. We were pleasantly surprised with the many water features and cafe lighting which fits the ambiance. Service staff was busy which it took a bit to take orders but understandable from the busy night and server was helpful with recommendations. Appetizers came quick and our dinner course followed not too long after. Food was delicious. We didn't have space for dessert which we will be back to try next time.

I had heard a lot of great things about Nicolette's table. The ambiance was great, the host staff friendly, and they had a nice size menu. Our server seemed nice and helpful but the person that delivered our food clearly seemed like it was the last place he wanted to be. The food was good overall. My pesto dish was amazing but most of the other dishes were just good. Dessert wise the mousse was the clear winner (we tried 4). I would definitely go back but I prefer Tucci for Italian in Lake Oswego.

So incredibly disappointing. The outside is very unassuming and looks more like it might be a deli, but inside it's very pretty and charming. That is the extent of positive for our visit. I wanted to plan a Spanish Coffee night for us girls & 2 of them suggested Nicoletta's because they live in LO and come in once in a while. I had been here back in 2016 and had a good experience so I made a reservation online. There were 8 of us and so I made it for 6 people and called to say there would actually be 8. The gal on the phone made the reservation. I called back to ask if our table could be in the bar (per one friends request). I was told that would be fine. I asked if they made good Spanish coffees. I was told yes. I asked if they had a happy hour on the weekends. I was told no. I told the gal on the phone that it would be fine. We would just order off the regular menu. 11 of us arrive at 4 pm for our reservation. 3 had not RSVP'd with me, so I was surprised, but the server was fine with us adding chairs. Within 15 minutes of being seated, we were told that we only had until 5 pm. Most of us had ordered food, (as well as drinks). We were confused. Who goes out for group dinner and drinks for just 45 minutes?? We were told that they thought we were just having one drink and so they gave our table to a group at 5 pm. Not cool! As our food was arriving, the manager reminds us that we only had until 5 pm. Very irritated, I pointed out that we had only just gotten our food. She then said we could stay until 5:20 pm. Totally unhappy that we were being rushed out - our moods soured and we were all pissed that we had to pay a mandatory 20% ("large group") tip each. Normally that would not be an issue but since we were all unhappy - it really sucked that we had to pay for excellent service. One of the items I ordered were the meatballs and I pointed out the $4 large meatballs to the server (at the top of the menu). What I got was 5 mini meatballs for $14. Not only was it not what I ordered - but I didn't have time to send them back because we were being rushed out. So I was stuck with meatballs that tasted like the ones from Cash & Carry and the sauce was like Ragu. Not the worst, but certainly not worth $14. That said, the large ones were in the deli case for $3.50 and so 2 of what I wanted would have cost me 1/2 the price. At one point, I was told we needed to wrap things up, but we hadn't even gotten our bill yet. I was also told we could only use 3 credit cards. How are 11 guests supposed to hurry and figure that out?? The least they could have offered - in lieu of being told to leave - is to let us pay separately. The manager caved and let us use 5 cards - which meant every other person had to pay cash or Venmo one of the card people. So we are rushed out, not allowed separate bills and forced to pay a 20% tip. I do not blame our server. She was following orders. I do not completely blame the manager. She claims there was a misunderstanding with our reservation. That is possible - but I should have been told on the phone that we'd only be allowed an hour. If we had known, we'd have gone somewhere else. We were all dressed up fancy for Christmas and had no where to go at 5 pm because it was too late to make a reservation at Willamette or Domaine. All I can say is, 11 people left, really bummed out on this place. Half of us don't live in LO, and live in Portland, so it was a long drive for just one hour.

Took friends out for a nice meal after a fun weekend and we head to Nicoletta's. We had a reservation and we're seated immediately. The hostesses and wait staff were incredibly friendly. We had meatballs and fried calamari for appetizers with their bread and cracker service. For dinner we had their artichoke and margarita pizzas, the Waygu cheeseburger, their fettuccine carbonara, the swordfish special, linguine with clams and the pasta special with fettuccine,sea scallops, asparagus and pancetta. It was all amazing! Everyone at the table was happy with their dish. I really loved the sea scallops.. OMG.. the colors and flavors were a real hit. This place is definitely worth a visit. The food was great! And, the service staff were so friendly. The restaurant itself was open and welcoming. Nice place for dinner with family and friends.

This place was recommended and has good reviews but not sure why, it's extremely pricey (25+) for dishes and they got our order wrong, like really wrong they did the wrong portions, forgot a dish and gave us something we didn't order. We got refunded a little but overall a bad experience.

This is a fantastic Italian food restaurant I will be coming back for sure. The food was amazing and price was fair the desert was just perfect The service was quick and on point and friendly Ambiance there was clean and warm feeling

I stopped here for lunch with my husband after an appointment in Lake Oswego. I wasn't expecting much but I was very pleasantly surprised. We started with a bread basket and Caesar salads, which were solid all around. I had the special of the day which was a crab lemon pasta. It was light and beautiful with layered flavors. My husband had the chicken parm, which was better than average. The breading was crispy, it had whole milk mozzarella, and their Mariana sauce was well balanced, relying on natural sweetness of the tomatoes used. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here again since I don't live close by, but if I am in the area again I would love to return.

Disappointed. My Gnocchi was not good. They were kind enough to make me something else but when my food arrived they pulled everyone else's empty plates. Awkward. Then we were trying to get a desert with a candle for my niece as it was her birthday... but the server kept talking about it in front of her. "We don't do anything for free." We were trying to get a desert with a candle in it after an expensive meal. Why would you think we want something free? And why would you say that in front of the birthday girl???

A LO bad experience. The food is way overpriced. A $30 salad, with one scallop? An $18 glass of mediocre Nebbiolo? My dinner was the special & it was not. My mushroom ravioli.was unappetizing with broken pieces of, undercooked ravioli with very few mushrooms in inside, sausage chunks & so much sauce I could not see what I was eating. We were seated in a crowded room by the kitchen, and there was entertainment in a sparsely occupied room. The reservation was for 3 but the table would not have had room for 3 plates. I waited for a long time & had to ask for the wine list. I asked to sit by the entertainment and 3 very young girls at the checkin podium whispered for a while looking quite put out but did move us. The singer was stuck behind a brick pillar but she was fantastic , unfortunately her mic was so soft most of the time the piano drowned her out. Seating was such that most tables didn't see her ... We ordered a dessert that was really coffee in a cup with ice cream, we said we would share it but the server didn't mention it wasn't really shareable! This place is not service oriented and a very odd set up. Rooms everywhere but people crammed together in one. It was loud, no one listening to the music & certainly not applauding. What should have been a relaxing meal with live music was stressful because we could see the singer but could barely hear her for the piano. Work on the acoustics, teach some manners to the staff & get better cooks. This place could be great, but is a fail as is.

Our date night plans fell through and we were looking for a last minute reservation. We walked in and the hostess was so sweet and snagged us the last table available. We were seated on the market side of the restaurant and I actually really enjoyed having so much to look at while we dined. The ambiance felt busy but intimate at the same time. I didn't think to snag any photos of our meals, however everything we had was wonderful. The special was full of flavor and interesting ingredients and even the bread brought before dinner was something to write home about. Our server was attentive but not overly interruptive, we were able to enjoy our conversation without constant interruption, without having to ask for refills or look for our check. Overall we had a lovely night and plan to stop in again.

My realtor (Kim G) introduced me to this place 3 years ago and it's my go-to special occasion place. In reading the other reviews I'm actually kind of surprised by the negatives because I have never, ever experienced anything like that. I love the ambiance/vibe here. In fact, I was there for my birthday this past weekend and I realized I was mistaken about my reservation time so I called immediately. I always reserve via Open Table and have left a review there in the past. Not only were they gracious, they saved my table. Upon arrival, we did have to wait a few minutes but I was happy that they saved my table so I was completely okay with this. In that time, I saw a couple of patrons get uppity that they couldn't get a table but had not actually made reservations. The manager was polite but firm with them... in fact, this is why I no longer work with the public.. I don't have the patience and my name is Karen so that alone means I cannot act the fool in public...... but I digress. Our server, Stephanie, was charming and informative. We ended up ordering 2 of the specials listed. We ordered cocktails and wine. Both excellent. My husband ordered gazpacho and we shared the steamer clams. Their bread is excellent and easy to get full on! My daughter ordered the ravioli of the day which was an Italian sausage filled along with lemon ricotta. I always get the carbonara because it's my favorite. My hubby got the rib special that was divine. We hope to try to emulate the parts with the diced veggies. Everything there, to me, tastes fresh and "clean". I know that seems like an odd adjective but when I say that.. I know I am not eating processed crap. I have had the chicken parm and meatballs in the past and they were also amazing. I have, literally, never had a bad meal here. I love this place.

Little Italy in Lake Oswego. Even though I've passed by this mall lots of times, I didn't know there was an Italian restaurant with a deli, bar, and grocery. It was fun to experience a variety things at the dine-in restaurant. This place is already Christmasy and cozy inside. They were even nice enough to give me a small tour of the place. -You can definitely have a group party there because they have large large privage rooms. Also, spring to summer the patio seats are available. I think food is the most important factor for foodies, right? Their meals are so fresh and not too salty or sweet. I enjoyed all dishes I ordered and after I finish main dishes I tried their dessert also. Gelato was also really good. We enjoyed our recent visit to Nicoletta's -- service was great, the outdoor setting was wonderful, they had a nice wine selection, and the food was good (but not amazing). The meal started on a good note, with the complimentary rustic bread and crispy crackers, served with olive oil and balsamic. For a starter course, I ordered a small Caesar salad with anchovies, and it was served just the way I like it -- a nice tangy sauce with a wedge of lemon to squeeze over the top. Very nice. I was really looking forward to the Spaghetti Bolognese, but unfortunately I was completely underwhelmed. The spaghetti itself was a little too al dente, but my biggest issue was the lack of any depth of flavor in the Bolognese sauce -- all I was the fennel of the Italian sausage, and a basic tomato-based sauce. A traditional Bolognese should draw a lot of flavor from the meat itself, which is why they often use a mix of beef and pork -- then it should stew in the sauce for hours and develop a deep, rich, flavor. All of that was missing, or simply overpowered by the sausage. The good thing about the peppery sauce was that it brought out the spice in the glass of Cab that I ordered with my meal. That was very nice. I had the Orange & Chocolate Cannoli for dessert, which I very much enjoyed. I would definitely come back to try Nicoletta's again, but would not order the Bolognese again.

〰SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA $$$ 〰CALABRESE "DIAVOLA" -- pizza $$ The pizza is really effing good. You can tell the dough is fresh & I'm a sucker for a wood fired oven for a pie. I would have preferred a touch more sauce, esp for the crust pieces (note to self) because the sauce is really good. If you like a softer crust, you'll love this. I may ask for mine extra crispy next time so it's not a fork & knife pizza. The "mamas peppers" on top aren't spicy but add a tang that is refreshing with the salami and dough and was much appreciated. As for the carbonara, honest food review: I was disappointed. Still really good, but hear me out-- They don't have an Alfredo on the menu (mistake). So we got the carb to satisfy the rich craving we had. Noodles were good, portion size was a little small for the hefty price tag, sauce was a little thin, but the issue lied within the heavy use of pancetta. The main flavor of the pasta had an overwhelming taste of bacon. There is pancetta cooked into the pasta, and then a whole slice for the garnish. Seemed a bit overkill for my taste, but if you love bacon, try it. Not pictured but ate anyways: The breadsticks that come with the meal are interesting. They're like extra extra crispy, thin, crackery dough that they had extra of or something, along with a few pieces of garlicy bread-- these were hella good & for the price of the entire meal they should just serve a bowl of these money pieces. I got a rose wine to drink-- idk anything about wine. It was good. I will definitely be back for the pizza. As for the pasta, meh. I need to try more before coming to a verdict.

First time dining here. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off of State Street in Lake Oswego. It was an interesting experience. We were a larger party. So we ended up sitting at a table in the back near the pizza oven. Thankfully that thing must be pretty well insulated as we didn't feel the heat from it. We ordered drinks and food. I can't attest to the quality of the drinks because I got just plain water. The food was pretty good. The appetizers, including the calamari, were good. Calamari was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, like it should be. The first big disappointment was the chicken parmesan. The chicken was dried out and tough. That was a big negative. I didn't bother finishing it or taking it home. The other issue.. when it was time to get desserts they were out of a lot of the items or they were "not available". That was pretty disappointing. Supposedly, there was some issue with the pastry chef. If that were the case, why didn't they just cross out the items or tell the waiter as he was taking our dessert orders?

We have been to Nicoletta's several times this holiday season and each time was delicious! I especially want to call out what an amazing Christmas Eve dinner we had. The ambience was beautiful for our group of 15. We were that last seating and yet the staff was welcoming and not rushing us throughout dinner. Our service by Will was exemplary. The food, as always was delicious! A few favorites were the calamari, spinach salad with warm chèvre, scallop risotto and the vongole! Thanks for making our holiday special!

The food here is very bad. I had the clam linguine and the clams were over cooked and they also left an unopened one in the dish, the flavor of the linguini was straight up salt and over salted at that. Totally inedible & I couldn't eat it. My partner had the halibut risotto and the fish was not seared and so dry and over cooked that he wanted to send it back, but ended up just not eating it either. That was a $40 dish. The last straw was the affogato for dessert - it was milky coffee, cheap tasting ice cream, loads of whipped cream, with HERSHEY's chocolate syrup smothered on. Extremely cheap tasting and we just couldn't get over the hersheys syrup on a $13 dessert coffee. It was also served in a parfait glass, family restaurant style. This place has terrible food masquerading as fine dining and it is super expensive. We wouldn't go back.

Always blown away by the consistently great service! The food from the menu is always delicious & so is the grab & go foods, as well as the to go pasta salads & cookies. The service here is dialed in- not common anymore. One of my favorite lunch spots!

So much goodness! Even though we were in a strip mall, we felt transported back to Italy once we stepped inside. The hostess nicely set our table before we headed back. We loved our winged back chairs. Our waiter Alex was lovely & patient. There were so many great choices on the menu, and we were both so happy with what we got - a Spicy Italian Panini with Verde Side Salad & the Pasta Primavera. There were several desserts to choose from & we took a traditional cannoli to go. It was delicious later in the day when we weren't so full! We were just passing through Lake Oswego, but we would definitely return to Nicoletta's when in town again & would take something to go from the deli case next time!

Extremely rude hostess. Food nothing to get excited about. We were a large party with a reservation & were put back in corner by bathroom which btw was absolutely filthy. Don't waste your time or money here. Definitely do not recommend this business.

Went here for hubby's birthday. Had tried this place many years ago (perhaps for lunch?) and had been underwhelmed, so had not returned. Had a gift card though, so hubby and I just decided to use it for his birthday dinner (he didn't care and wanted to try it again). So glad we went. I didn't recall the bread basket prior, but it is just as tasty as other reviewers comment. Had their capesante dish with scallops, brussels, tomato - bit pricey but tastes AMAZING- delicate and fresh, cooked perfect. Came out hitch but pasta still al dente. Husband had the papardelle, which was ok. He got some vanilla gelato on the house for his birthday which was really nice - ordered the chocolate cake as well - cake itself was bit dry but the mousse filling was perfect. Glad I tried it again - would like to try some sides next time, though not sure what other pasta dish I'd dare to try! Will definitely be back again some time.

Their food is a little pricey but their pizza was tasty and they make it all there. The pizza I got was SALSICCIA E CARCIOFI and it was big enough for me to bring some home.

This place is a classic! I love the staff so much! I would definitely recommend making a reservation or sitting at the bar! It's a nice place to grab dinner. I always get pasta when I'm there but they have a good selection of Italian food!

Good Food very uncomfortable wooden chairs. For the cost of food, the seating on hard wooden chairs negates lingering or ordering dessert. It was my birthday dinner and could not wait to leave to sit in my car seat to drive home. Very surprised how the restaurant does not upgrade chairs. Great servers

I called to reserve the private room for a holiday event. The woman who took the reservations was rude, insisted that I couldn't reserve it for less than eight people. I said we'd likely have nine. The conversation took a bad turn when she said, it's available either at five or seven thirty. If we took five we had to be out no later than seven and we couldn't split the check. All of this sounds typical but it was the tone of her voice, aggressive and negative. I told her she needed to improve her tone with customers, she told me, with a raised voice that I was negative and aggressive. I told her to forget the reservations. I'll not go there again. Others have had similar experiences with a rude hostess when waiting for their table.

This the saddest looking "cheese board" ever For $26, I just have to laugh. I may have to switch gears on my snacks for my friends coming over tonight. I am not sure what I expected and was a tad perplexed when I saw the box but thanks for a laugh.

Cute ambiance and wonderful service. Food was pretty good, however probably wouldn't order the steak again.

I'm always searching for great Italian places and this place was amazing. It's in a small plaza so plenty of parking. The front is under construction and at first glance, doesn't look too fancy - especially when you've scoped out the price point. We were offered indoor or outdoor and we decided on outdoor. So we are walked through the restaurant which is old rustic into the back patio that feels very secluded with lots of plants, trees, and tables perfectly distanced so you weren't on top of other peoples convos. I'm glad we picked outside. We were given a bread basket to start and it was a very unique one with Italian bread, some sort of seasoned ciabatta, and this crispy cracker kind - with some plain olive oil to dip. Very good. We couldn't decided what we wanted to so we asked the waitress her thoughts. First, she's super knowledgeable of the menu. She gave us the specials and also was able to speak in detail about a bunch of the wines on the menu. We also even asked a busboy who was grabbing dishes and filling waters his suggestions on the menu and he was able to pick out two. I decided to share dishes with one of my friends because we both couldn't decide between the Carbonara and the Pappardelle. We added grilled shrimp to the carbonara (we saw a pic on here of it and it sold us!) We also got the special Risotto balls - Arancini. The risotto balls were good but tasted pretty similar to anywhere. The sauce was very good. We were told the sauces and pastas were made in house! We got our mains and holy moly!! The 5 stars is definitely because the food outweighed anything else. The carbonara was amazingly creamy and it had a crispy piece of pancetta on top. It was delish! The pappardelle was very rich. The meat was tender and amazing but the sauce may need to be toned down a bit. I still really liked it but preferred the carbonara over it. The grilled shrimp was actually so tasty!! All and all, I will be back for the food. Service was great but since it's all in house, the wait was longer than expected so we were there for awhile - that would be my only gripe but once we ate - we were satisfied!

Oooh idk, really wanted to like this place, but it fell way short of expectations. Pasta was quite expensive to begin with and just was extremely average. My friend got the lamb lasagna and thought it was vegetarian because of how little meat was in it. I tried the pesto spaghetti, and the pesto was on the sour side. Bread basket was also unfortunately pretty stale. But, the ambiance in the outdoor area is really nice and the servers were friendly and attentive - I just don't know if I would justify eating here again.

My favorite place for lunch outside on their lovely patio. Both food and service are great.

Wife and I were recently in Playa del Carmen on vacation on to celebrate our anniversary. We were unsure of were we were going to eat but settled on Nicoletta's. This was definitely a wise choice. From the moment we stepped in the staff was friendly and courteous. We did not have to wait long for our appetizer which was a pizza came out hit and fresh. When our main courses arrived everything was spot on and fresh. All of the food was great as was the service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxing even located right among the busiest areas of 5th Avenue. We would highly recommend visiting this restaurant and we will be returning next time we are in town.

Don't let the strip mall location fool you. Nicoletta's offers great Italian food in a very eclectic looking dining room. We had a family dinner and it was a slightly large group. We were focused on catching up and I didn't get a chance to take any pictures of the food or the set up. The bread basket has some really interesting breadsticks and crispy chips. It kept the kids in the group busy. The wine selection is impressive with both Italian and local wines. We decided to get a couple Italian wine bottles and all the adults appreciated the taste. The kids decided to get the usual kid favorites- Margherita pizza and a cheese pizza. The adults all ordered their favorite pastas. I ordered the carbonara without the meat and it was wonderful. The gelato as dessert worked for most of us. The mint chocolate chip flavor though is not worth it. Our server did warn me though when I ordered me that "it's got a strong mint". I didn't expect it to taste like I was eating toothpaste straight out of the tube. I was offered a toffee cookie as compensation though.

In my opinion, Nicoletta's has a fairly overpriced menu and an extremely rude staff that treats people poorly.

Nicoletta's is always a family favorite and tonight was no different. The staff were all very kind and attentive and the restaurant was lively and warm. Definitely a little louder inside, but the live music and sounds of the kitchen were fun. The lasagna was delicious and other favorites are the risotto and the chicken parmesan. Thank you!

If you want good Italian food, definitely go to Nicoletta's. We have been many, many times, and never disappointed; their outdoor patio feels like a little bit of Europe. Food and service are always excellent.

My family and I took mom to dinner here on Mother's Day. As usual food was very good, the lasagna is terrific (although the sauce wasn't as spicy as usual), the carbonara is also great. My son had a pepperoni pizza which was average, and his girlfriend had the frutti di Mari which she enjoyed. Service seemed to have improved since our last visit. My biggest pet peeve is that when you ask for more bread, they always tell you "it will be $3.00". I suppose they don't want to surprise people, but for a fine dining experience that is quite gauche. Just include it and spread the cost on the entrees- it's not cheap to begin with.

Amazing little restaurant in a strip mall. I ordered the tomato crostada de pomodoro with the verde salad; both of which were amazing. Our waiter said the chef was a very well trained pastry chef and it definitely shows! My fiancè ordered the fr much toast that was so light, fluffy and flavorful. We can't wait to go back! *Also, shout out to Will. He was a fab waiter!
