I visited this restaurant with my wife and our 1-year-old while in town, hoping for a great experience. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the service left much to be desired. My wife noticed a rude stare from the host (a dark-skinned lady with braces), but I encouraged her to overlook it, assuming it might have been a misunderstanding.
During our meal, our child, as toddlers do, made a bit of a mess—some rice and crumbs of meat pie fell on the floor. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the host came over and rudely said, “I’m going to bring a broom for you to clean this mess.” At first, I thought she was joking, but it became clear she was serious.
Before leaving, my wife and I made an effort to clean the table, as we would anywhere, but we didn’t pick up the crumbs from the floor—something that is standard for restaurant staff to handle. As we were leaving, I thanked the host, but she ignored me. My wife then apologized for the mess, and the host responded in a hostile manner, saying, “This is not nice at all.”
Beyond the poor service, the food itself was disappointing. The efo riro tasted spoiled, and the pricing was too high given the experience.
I always aim to support Nigerian businesses, and this review is not meant to defame but to encourage better customer service and professionalism. A welcoming attitude goes a long way in making customers feel valued, and unfortunately, we left with a bad taste—both literally and figuratively. We won’t be returning.
