Night Hawk

I dropped in early on a Friday evening, shortly after they opened. Wanted to taste some creative cocktails and I wasn’t disappointed. Started with the “black hole sun”, which was a bourbon and sloe gin concoction, topped with a small scoop of ice cream that sat perfectly on the tip of a long, rectangular piece of ice, preventing it from melting into the drink below. Very interesting contrast of slightly tart fruitiness and creaminess. Next, I had the “sleepy saunter”, which had lychee smoked coconut gin and grappa, with cherry icing on the glass. Finally, I had the “sinewy refreshment” and this was my favourite. Cognac, rum, ube and if I’m not wrong, the milky component was clarified, so it had a malty, slightly milky aroma and taste but in a clear liquid. I found it quite nostalgic and addictive, reminding me of horlicks sweets. Plus, it’s served with a lollipop of the milk solids from the clarification process. Service was great, with all the bartenders being very friendly. Atmosphere was nice. Small space speakeasy but with a bit more noise. Overall, the cocktails are probably not going to get you drunk but they are a bit of an adventure in flavours.

Dark, metropolitan interior. Charming staff. The place exudes warmth and familiarity- everyone seems to know each other. Cocktails are executed fluidly and served fast and fresh. Loved their taller classic cocktails- Black Hole Sun was fruit-forward and fun with the popping candy on vanilla ice cream. Gamma Ray Sun was a midori sour on steroids with bitter gourd infusion! Their namesake cocktail Nighhawks suits the warming and fun vibe (being a coffee/chocolate-forward creation). Food is competent, but cocktails dominate! :) $60/70 a pax for 2 cocktails + nibbles. Come early 6/7pm for seats. Otherwise…join the queue!

Pretty classy bar ! However, the interior might be a bit too small with limited seats ! A little squeezy but I feel like that really adds to a more cozy vibe and almost a little homely hehe. Great place to come with a date cause the ambience really adds to the experience ! Shouldn’t have trusted myself to choose my own drink cause it didn’t really fit my taste profile 🥲🥲 my friend really enjoyed her drink though ! Kinda love how the exterior is a little unsuspecting which also gives it a little mysterious vibe ! Wouldn’t mind coming back again but I’ll ask for recommendations next time 😭🙏

It’s been a while since I’ve been excited by a bar in 🇸🇬. Night Hawk feels like walking into a scene from Passengers: moody, cinematic, and like I’ve entered a parallel world where memories can be bottled and transferred, sip by sip. We tried 4 cocktails and they were all excellent: Slippery Transistor, Polite Provisions (my fav!), Nighthawk, and Black Hole Sun. The playlist was 🔥, and we had front-row seats watching the bartender slice ice with the focus of a surgeon. No reservations, just walk in.

I was staying at the hotel next door for a week and never once noticed this speakeasy despite having walked by many times every day. Un-signed entry but door directly onto the street (maroon door beside the cafe on the corner). Cocktail list was very unique. Tried the Redemption from a special menu (bartender is doing some sort of competition with this menu). Divine! So well balanced. Atmosphere is perfection.

Received multiple recommendations to this speakeasy and we are so glad we were able to squeeze this spot into our itinerary! The drinks here are very unique and with complex flavors. Great service and vibes whether you're coming here solo or with a group.

Speakeasy vibe, futuristic with maybe 20 seats in the bar, walk-ins only. The seating for groups is in a recessed area a step down from the bar area, kind of like a sunken living room; to me that feature makes it ideal for small groups to chat in a cozier setting. We sat at one of the booths, was quite cramped though and your knees are basically knocking into one another if you lean forward even slightly. Drinks were cool! We shared 4 drinks: Nighthawks, QOO, Polite Provisions, Oriental Sentiments (my favourite, really interesting without being overwhelming).

Nighthawk has become our favourite drinking spot in Singapore- great service and atmosphere. The passion from the team (special call out to Sam) really shows in the cocktails. Definitely recommend for those looking for top quality cocktails- particular favourite is the Nighthawk (espresso) martini!
