Night Mares / Prarie Baking - Review - Munjoy Hill - Portland, ME - The Infatuation
"If you learn about this spot from a local, inevitably, they’ll stop mid-sentence to gesticulate just how good the cake is. During the first part of the week, Prairie Baking is not open to the public and produces cakes for weddings and parties. But on the weekends, it’s open both as the bar Night Mares and a cafe in the mornings. The bar has a suite of standout cocktails like a spritz that combines Oyster River pet-nat with some yuzu sake, a few taps of local beer, great goùgeres, and a laid-back atmosphere. In the morning, pop in for coffee and any of a dozen types of pastries and cookies. And whether you come at night or during the day, obviously get a slice of layer cake." - Olex Ponomarenko
