Night Owl Bar Round Rock

This is a wonderful bar. I went there one evening and I had already had a few cocktails at home before I went and I went there too. Intoxicated and that bartender. She served me one cocktail when I first got there but she recognized right away that I was intoxicated and she would not serve me another one. She was very sweet about it and she welcomed me to come back another time. Not so intoxicated and she cared for me and that made me feel wonderful and she was absolutely right. I highly recommend this place. This is a very conscious alcohol establishment and very professional and very caring and loving. They will take care of you. If you become intoxicated, I will return to this place and I highly recommend it to anyone. Looking for a nice enjoyable evening because I truly enjoyed my short stay there. Stopped in here yesterday on my way out to Hutto. I've been to one of the other locations and enjoyed it. It had a full bar on a Thursday around 5. Lots of people are having a good time. I enjoyed the vibes. And dog friendly, which is always a plus for me. The only complaints I have were that it was really bright in there and kinda smelled like a toilet, lol. But obviously, it didn't matter because there were lots of folks in there who had a great time.

This small little bar in RR is pretty chilling. We have gone there many times this month (since we found it). The only thing is the margarita has been bitter no matter how many times they make it, and it’s our favorite drink. Oh well, I still think it’s a good local bar to go. They have a digital jukebox that you can choose your songs (I haven’t tried it). They have some free snacks when you order drinks. So far we have met two bartenders and they are awesome!

Great neighborhood bar. Love the environment and friendly staff. Great drinks. We go often since we live close by and walk there.

OMG! I gave this people a bad review and all hell broke loose. This man iumped out of the bar and accused me of spitting on their car! This is the second horrible experience I have had around this bar. After that happen, I sat in my car to calm down. About 10 min later… the cops show up. Nightmare… I am 99% sure that the racist owner did this!!! If you don’t believe me then don’t. But, If suggest you don’t go there!

Bartender was drunk, bar is not LGBT friendly. It's a neighborhood bar,so no new comers welcome or you will be made fun of with locals saying that you're asking for complicated drinks like ' Irish car bombs' and bartnedar and locals laughing....when in reality you were asking for typical drinks was too drunk to comprehend. Come in and tread on eggshells... it's a local atmosphere and outsiders not welcome. Better be a local or your not welcome.

Great bar, after a while it feels like a little family. Jeremy is great and always is eager to talk and check in on you. Danielle is very sweet, going as far as bringing special food for me due to dietary restrictions for the superbowl. Mandy and Sam are amazing. And the new guy Zac is a real chill dude and is helping me navigate different whiskeys. This is a great bar where everyone knows each other and is willing to open up to new people.

We made it for their first night open in Round Rock, and very impressed with what they’ve brought to this northeastern corner of around Rock. They’re going to kill it. Cocktails are just as good as the Burnet location. Highly recommend the Mezcal Paloma, and they feature beers on draft. If you’re over by Texas State - RR campus or a Tera Vistian.. welcome to your new watering hole.

Three years ago, during the first steps out of COVID hell, my boyfriend and I wandered into this local bar. Three years later and we are regulars and have even started bringing the folks semi-regularly. This place is like Cheers because eventually, everybody knows your name! We sit down and the bartender is already serving up a pint of Kelly's beer. They'd start on my drink if I don't change it up all the time. One thing that came with COVID was providing chips to munch on while you wind down and it still carries on today at no charge. As for the staff, we have come to love each of them. Jeremy and Danielle are the OGs and I love the dry humor of both. Samantha makes a mean Paloma and is often pretty inventive if you ask for it. Kayleigh is a free spirit and entertaining. I miss Rachel as she was my goto for a perfect Old Fashioned. Unfortunately she has moved on. The regulars are what truly makes the place and bar room buddies are the best kind! We rob each other over sports and music and on occasion, a little political jab, but we keep it friendly and no one is afraid to shout "NO politics at the bar!" If it gets raucous. I can't even begin to say how special this place is, but IYKYK.

Great place with great bartenders!!!!!!! Feel right at home when you walk in. It was terrific that they were Dog friendly and were very friendly and loving to all dogs. But some Douche Canoe had to ruin it for everyone. Thank you to the Ass Hat that ruined it. I will still go because of the friendly vibe !!!!!

Now this is a great bar! We had been wondering for a while where Jeremy and Danielle had gone and we found them this past weekend....at Night Owl Bar. The most outstanding bartenders in town, by far..... This is truly a kinda divey but lots of fun bar with great drinks. What else do you want? Try it...and the jukebox is fantastic as well. No food, but can bring your own or call out....the drink menu is superb (something for everyone). GOOOOOO.

Great bar to visit with a friend and family type atmosphere that makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome. If you are lucky enough to be there when Danielle or Jeremy are there; they are the best bartenders in the area! Go see for yourself!

We've been coming to night owl occasionally for close to a year. It was our last resort bar after everything else closed just because it was close to home. I had a terrible experience my last visit and will not be going back. Jeremy is not very kind to people that are not his top locals . He's not very professional when new people come in. If anyone ever goes they'll see how the vibe is after your first drink. I'm really hoping no one new to the bar has to experience how we felt.

A nice local spot close to home. AND THEY HAVE COMFORTABLE CHAIRS! It sucks when you want to go out but all the chairs are so uncomfortable, you can't wait to get out of them. NOT HERE! My husband and I randomly stopped by looking for a delicious drink. They did not disappoint. First we tried The Round Rock, The Mule and a classic Old Fashion. Each drink we're delicious with perfect flavor balance while still being strong drinks. We will be back.

We tried so hard to like this place. I really wanted to love it bc it is so close to my house. The first time we went was subpar. Warm beer glass for my husband for the few beers he ordered, which made the beer warm. Second time we went was decent but we never really felt welcomed. What I mean by that is others that were there were being chatted with and seemed to have great service. We just chalked it up to maybe they were regulars and our 3 visits had not merited this chumminess they had. Post pandemic we were glad to see they made it despite the funk our world has been in. We had a babysitter for the weekend aka my mom till she went back home so we stopped in. After about 8 min someone walked by and offered to take our order but after the Bulleit vendor offered us a drink so we ordered an old fashioned each. After that drink was over we hung out for a bit and waited for a waiter/waitress to take our next order. nothing.. so hubby went to the bar and attempted to order a drink that used to be on the menu before the pandemic. They said they didn't make that anymore, ok so what is the new menu? the Bartender threw the triangular folded paper his way and it flopped over face down. My husband was like ok cool, thanks but no thanks, I'll just pay for the drinks we already had. Since it was the vendor, they were free. We didn't know that so maybe this was what angered them? We may never know. We left to spend our $ somewhere else where the menus aren't thrown at you. He tried to apologize and say I can make you anything you want, but if that were true, you could make a drink that was indeed on your menu before as was originally asked for.... I hope they make it for their sake and for the community. I also hope you get better service than we have.

I am so happy this place is open! Great location right across from the Texas State RR campus. Perfect place to have a drink after a long day at school/work, etc. The bar is small but has big personality! Plenty of bar and table seating. There are also 2 TVs for you sports watchers! Great prices too! Happy hour is noon-7 during the week. $1 off draft beers, although beer is already at a great price. I will be coming back here often!

Wow Round Rock TX we got a real bar on our hands! Staff is amazing first and foremost. Living up to what we expect in Texas and beyond. Shout to Sandra and Rob for make my us welcomed. Best up which is just as important and why you would show up is the drinks!!!! I give the drink menue an A+. Try the Sam Bass or The Round Rock you will not be disappointed. I am excited to tackle the menue over the next few weeks.

Neighborhood bar located in a shopping strip. The decor is nice but there is no outside to spread out. Drinks are good just a little on the pricey side, but it is conveniently located and you never have to worry about it being too crowded. Bar staff is also extremely friendly.

Fun neighborhood bar. Friendly staff and friendly patrons. Diverse age group and good restaurants right next door. Great location!

Drove past this place a few times and decided tonight was a good time to stop in. 9pm on a Saturday, and the regular crowd is shuffling in... Was greeted by the bartender upon my stepping up to the bar. That's not as common as it should be, so it was nice she did so. The venue is clean and has a bit of personality thanks to the colors, wall paper, and textures chosen. Not the easiest thing for a neighborhood bar in a small strip mall to accomplish. Black, brick facade on the front third of each side wall. Red wall paper across the rest of the walls, and with owls hidden in the wallpaper print. Wood bar top stained black with a thick polyurethane coat. Soft lightning with those LED lights that look like old Edison bulbs. 3 flat screen TVs on the walls, but by no means a "sports bar". Generally accepted Rock music is playing, but it's at a reasonable volume which doesn't require yelling in order to have a conversation. They've chosen to have music in the "background". Perfect. About 20 taps on the wall. Some IPAs, standard mass-consumed light beers, as well a few local favorites. The crowd of about 20 (currently) is made of of 50/50 girls & guys, and ranges in age from 20-something to 50-something. Most of us are dressed like we made a respectable effort prior to stepping out on this Saturday night, so that's pleasant. I've only been here 30 minutes, but I've already decided to come back in the near future. I would encourage you to do the same.

This is the second time my husband and I have been here in the last two weeks. Great local cocktail concoctions. I recommend the AW Grimes. Good beer selection. Pleasant atmosphere. Bartenders are welcoming. We are glad to have a bar option nearby.

This is probably my favorite bar that has opened in Round Rock! My favorite drink on the menu is actually called the Round Rock!! We met Sandra the bartender on opening night and she remembers me and my husband every time we come in! That's amazing especially when you see so many faces. If you're looking for a great place to hang out and don't want to travel too far from home I HIGHLY suggest Night Owl!!

Great little hideout. Have only been once when it opened and will go back again when things settle down. Good group of people, vibe and choice of drinks.

Our favorite neighborhood bar! We usually come here every weekend. The atmosphere is great and they have the best bartenders! We love coming here!

Popped in here and what a cool neighborhood bar so glad we stopped in. Bartender Claire was so welcoming and suggests AW Grimes. Give this place a try it's worth it.

First time there on a Monday night and it was great! Pretty chill environment, everyone was nice and the drinks were good. Would definitely go again!
