Night Owl Pizza & Drinks Scottsdale

This place is so fun. The vibe is retro skateboards and pinball machines with great pizza, right down to the repurposed pinball table countertops. The back patio is awesome, the food is good, and they have a happy hour that makes people happy! I'm excited to have Night Owl in my neighborhood!

Unfortunately the pizza slice was terrible. Crust broke apart, bottom was soggy, unfoldable and too much cheese. Garlic knots a bit better,but just average. Still a fun place.

It was slightly disorganized, but the staff were polite and regularly checked in with me. The food options were limited but pretty good, they had burgers, knots, and pizzas; so not exactly vegan or vegetarian friendly. And the overall atmosphere was nice, and there was pleasant outside seating accommodations. Overall it was a cool little diner, and I would recommend for small night outs! Went again, 2nd Experience: New vegan options, more overpriced then I remember, and the decor rocks though! They have arcade games and a skateboard wall and the outside area is super nice, and mood lighting and music too!

Love this place. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Pizzas are huge! Really nice outside patio and love all the retro games and decor.

We went for lunch last Saturday and it was fantastic. Our server, Alec, was absolutely wonderful. He was attentive and very friendly. The cocktails were well balanced and delicious. My husband had the dry rub wings and rated them 10/10. We also got the cheesy garlic knots and pizza, to go, that were both very good. The pizza dough is on the thin side (as it should be) and the sauce is savory, not sweet, which we appreciate. The patio is gorgeous with lots of plants, trees, and tons of fans with misters! We live in Tempe and are very excited for the new Night Owl location to open up on Mill Ave.

Stopped in here due to our usual pizza place being closed for the day, and it was pretty good! The pizza was good, I really liked the crust on it, and there was a good amount of garlic on the garlic knots, which I like. As much as I like giving 5 star reviews, this didn’t quite reach that level, there were a few things I didn’t enjoy: the garlic knot dough was too dense and not at all fluffy (almost like if hadn’t been proofed long enough), the sprinkle of salt on the pizza was too much, the pepperoni made it salty enough on its own, and we weren’t offered refills on our drinks, despite sitting with empty cups for probably about to 15 minutes. To be fair, I’m a bit picky about my pizza, and this place was good, but not outstanding.

Man am I impressed with this bar/restaurant. I normally don’t enjoy bar type environments because the musics too loud and it’s easily somewhere I get overwhelmed and overstimulated. We came here for fancier pizza than a chain. We were not disappointed. We got carded on arrival. It was 9 pm on a Monday. The outdoor patio is super nice and cozy, well decorated and heated with propane lamps. However we opted to be sat indoor. The decor is cute actually, feels like a bar but has lots to look at around. It’s very clean. Chic feel. The menu isn’t large but it’s got enough to keep you satisfied. We didn’t try any of the cocktails. We ordered pizza by the slice which is actually a fantastic option- no tendency to over eat, no pesky left overs and you can try different flavours. I loved the pep pie & pretty fly for a white pie. My partner had pep and a ziggy. He also loved them. Food came out fairly fast after ordering. Our only gripe was that we initially ordered mozzarella breadsticks but it didn’t come out. When I asked about it the server said the kitchen was working on a new batch as it had gotten too crispy. When I asked I had referred to them as garlic knots, and when she returned later she brought garlic only- so I think it had been forgotten completely from the get go. We were so thrilled and satisfied with our pizza and service otherwise that we didn’t feel the need to say anything and let it slide. However the garlic knots are not good. I think with the mozzarella they would’ve been so much better but there’s something not quite right/missing. The real garlic pieces are overpowering as they’re just chopped atop without being overly cooked and im thinking they had parsley on there when oregano would’ve done a better job. This bar though? The vibes are right. We could have conversation despite music in the background. There are TVs to watch sports or play trivia. The music was a lot of the stuff I listened to in highschool so I really enjoyed that. I really couldn’t recommend this place enough- it’s actually great and im sad we aren’t local to return. Oh and of note: parking located at the back as is the main entrance.

The pizza and wings are good… the house salad is the best. And the burgers are amazing… I love the late night kitchen

Great service right when we walked in. The setting was very cool and laid back. Our server suggested the lunch specials with one of their craft cocktails. My boyfriend and I both got the lunch specials and it was delicious. I ordered a jalapeno cucumber margarita and the pizza of the day which was carne asada. I'm a simple pizza person but the server insisted I try it. I made the right decision listening to her suggestion. We'll be back with friends.

After taking a walk at Eldorado Park, I was looking for a spot close by for a late lunch on Memorial Day. I hopped on the trusty Yelp app and cam across Night Owl Pizza & Drinks. I identify as a night owl so the name is all I needed to see. I made my way over and parked in the lot they share with several other businesses behind the building. Ambiance (4.5/5): My kind of spot. They have a nice patio with water misters but I opted to sit inside. There's a square bar and seating on the exterior. I sat at a half booth facing the bar. You'll find a wood interior with skate boards to give you a chill and laid back vibe. My kind of bar. Casual. Service (5/5): My waiter was everything I expect in a service experience. He was friendly and efficient. He brought my print out receipt without me asking. He checked in just enough. He knew I was going to ask about WiFi since I brought my computer in and provided it proactively. A job well done. Drinks (N/A): I had an Arnold Palmer so not much to talk about but they do have a nice list of craft cocktails that I'll have to try out next time around. Food (4/5.5): As you can tell from their name, pizza is their focus. They have whole pies and pizza by the slice. I got a slice with pineapple, ham, and bacon so that I can gather the tears of any native Italian. It's a good size and solid pizza. Not up in the best I've ever had conversation, but they do it well. I also got an order of their Ziggy fries, a generous portion of crispy fries drizzled with parmesan, oil, and other goodies. They're addicting. Next time around, I'd love to try their wings. Night Owl is officially one of my new favorite bars in Phoenix. They also have a reward program you can join by phone when you check out. Night owls unite!

Night Owl was highly recommended by a friend so when I needed a quick dinner for the family (and a couple of friends), I decided to order-in and give it a shot... We had a large pizza, a few dozen wings, and two Caesar Salads. I way over ordered as usual! Everything was good and was delivered seamlessly... We ended up finishing both salads but had tons of leftover pizza and wings. The sauces for the wings all came on the side and the wings were good dry, but I have a feeling everything would have been even better if we ate at the restaurant vs did delivery. It sounds like eating in is the way to go, so we'll have to go that route next time for sure!

Such a fun place, great outside area and cute dark inside with pinball machines. Lots of decorative owls all over. The food was okay, bar food. The fries were really good, pizza was okay. Salad was really good and the wings were crispy and not in a bad way. Definitely a great place to go hang and grab a drink.

This was a fun place with pinball and good atmosphere but the slice of pizza i had was terrible. The bottom was soggy and the top was overcheesy. It was impossible to fold, which isn't great for NY Style. Garlic knots were better, but just average too.

i took my boyfriend here for father's day and omg we both loved it, the seating area outside is spacious and so beautifully laid out, we got the veggie pie no olives and the ziggy fries for food, as for drinks we got the arizona mule, green tea shot, mexican candy shot and the betty, all the drinks were good, the food was so delicious, pizza tasted home made and so fresh and the fries were my favorite cause they were perfectly fried and had yummy fresh garlic on top, the seating areas inside is limited, the service was good overall, the hostess wearing a hat was rude the entire time looked like she was annoyed with us from the jump but our waitress was nice and attentive!

Update: we come here regularly and I love this place. The food is great, drinks fantastic, and overall vibe is fun. A friend arranged a group hang out for Sunday evening. I had not heard of this place even though we live like 4 mins away!! At first I thought that I must be living under a rock (even though I go out for drinks and food all the time lol). Then I learned this spot is relatively new. So I felt better about my lack of knowing, haha. Per their website "Night Owl is a blended concept of The Little Woody, Ziggy's Magic Pizza Shop, and Stardust Pinbar". Anyway, our group ended up being 12 people on the wonderful patio. Before we arrived at 630 pm I saw a text from my friend we would be sitting outside. I literally rolled my eyes and said oof! It had been so hot all day and last thing I wanted was to sit outside. Damn, I was wrong! The patio felt amazing. There are so many fans and misters. Patio was in the shade by the time and it felt noticeably cooler and refreshing. We had a waitress for the table I but didn't feel like waiting for her so I went and opened a tab at the bar. We were happy to order "the codger" a few times ($9 for a beer plus shot of old grand dad is a good little drink). They even offer Malort if you're feeling in the mood lol, we would have ordered it but were told they are currently out. I also tried the tongue & groove (a vodka with strawberries cocktail) and it was tasty. We were there for a few hours and had an awesome time! For pizza I tried a slice of pretty fly for a white pie and ziggys. We ordered 3 pizzas for the group, some wings, and fries. Everything was good. This place is great for drinks and bar style food. They have a burger on the menu I'll try next time we come back. I'll definitely be back. We live so close and this spot is nice and tucked away, which I like. And I love pinball so next time when I'm not with a group, I plan to play some games. Fun and chill spot, glad our friends suggested it.

Absolutely charming neighborhood bar, that works for both more mature groups and families. Reasonable prices, good beer selection and the food we tried was solid, and portions were generous. Great patio for getting outside, or a nice dark bar if that's your thing. Lots of arcade games, clean restrooms and bar area, and it's a big bar with plenty of bar seating if that's your thing. Service was very attentive and pleasant, and the Pepperoni Pizza was huge, and even had a nice subtle char to the crust. The Buffalo wings were great: meaty, thoroughly cooked, but still tender, and sauced just right. Not quite JT's, but I'll definitely come back for them again.

Met up with someone here Saturday evening for a drink. I've been here a few times before already. It's a chill spot. The bartop looks like a pinball machine and is cool to see at night. They also have some pinball and arcade games along the side. I usually order the Skate Betty. I don't like gin but that drink isn't bad. This time, I ordered the Tongue & Groove. It had a weird aftertaste this time. It was good last time and it's good over at their other place. I saw a different drink on the menu that sounded good but I had already ordered so will have to try next time! The guys just had vodka soda limes. Had their pizza a few times and it's not bad. Can't remember which ones they were though. It's a good spot to chill at or stop into when hopping around to different bars

Night Owl Pizza & Drinks is a relaxed restaurant and bar. I love the spacious patio with romantic twinkly lights. There are pinball games and sports TVs inside. The indoor seating is super-comfy. The menu features pizza, burgers, salads and wings. The fries are perfectly seasoned and crispy. I recommend the Little Woody drink, which you can get as a mocktail. It's great if you like spicy drinks. The service is friendly and attentive. Manager Robert was so nice and took great care of us. Highly recommend!

It's very chill and relaxed atmosphere. I've been here a couple times but I can't say the pizza really stands out to me. The food isn't bad, it just didn't hit the spot. The garlic knot in the center was a unique touch. The staff is attentive and friendly though.

I came here with one other person on a Friday night around 8:45pm. We were able to get outside seating right away, but there was a wait for inside seating. They had plenty of heaters for each table outside. Service was kind of slow, but it was pretty busy and seems like a hip spot for millennials to get dinner. The food was good! There is a dedicated parking lot. Would come again.

I've come in here for Happy Hour, lunch, and we occasionally get take-out (pizza) here). For the most part it's always been good. I really like the lunch specials here. You can do an combination of a few different things (pizza, salad, wings, fries....). The price is fair and I like that it's not just basic pizza slices...you can choose their specialty pies. Speaking of which the pizza here is really good! Weirdly, the one time I didn't think it was so great was when I dined in. For some reason the crust was really dried out , but every time I've got takeout it's been great. Night Owl is a cool place to hang out. They have a spacious patio with plenty of seating and the inside is fun with the arcade games. Service is always good!

Night Owl is a 5/5 for me, and I would go back again, and again! I love a good casual spot with some top tier bar food. My boyfriend and I sat outside, which was a nice patio area with misters during this heat, but there is an indoor area with a bar that has more of a different and louder vibe. There are also screens in the outside patio area for all the sporting events. The Ziggy fries (garlic truffle parmesan) were crispy and flavorful. These actually tasted like they were tossed with garlic parmesan instead of it being a last minute addition. We ordered 12 wings with buffalo and Ziggy sauce on the side. The wings without the sauce were just as good! They were also very crispy and flavorful and HUGE so shoutout to Night Owl for not being stingy. The Ziggy sauce is sweet with a little tangy kick, and I was a big fan. We also got three pies by the slice: Maui Waui, Pineapple Express and So Fresh and So Clean. I'm typically not a huge pizza person, but I annihilated my slice. My boyfriend got an Old Fashion, which he is a fan of and said Night Owl's is really good, and I got a mule. I'm sad because I wanted a guava cider and literally less than a minute later, the waitress said they ran out! The waitress was really sweet and attentive, and the food came out fairly quickly! Big fan of this place and can't wait to go back.

Stopped in here to pick up a pizza for a fast lunch with friends. Really cool vibe inside! Wish we could have stayed longer. Great service , we ordered the pizza online and it came up fast! But also we had a quick drink at the bar and the service was fast and friendly . Definitely a cool spot I wanna check out again next time I'm in the area!

Great pizza slices, and love their chicken wings. Service is wonderful, and the ambience is much like a dive bar.

We came to play pinball but we stayed for the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty bar food. You can upgrade the fries from plane to a choice of amped up concoctions. The Ziggy fries hit the spot. The outdoor patio is a great place to chill with friends or family. This place is home to Pinball Wizards, but also Bar Food Wizards.

I'm truly such a fan of night owl from the outstanding pizza to the cool vibes to the incredible staff. Haley is the best! I've been here a bunch of times and always enjoy the food and drinks. Hands down my favorite spot after a bad day for a good, cheesy slice! I recently tried their specialty pie with cabbage on it. Sounds strange but it was SO good! I will say, the leftovers were not so great cold or reheated (sorry to the leftover pizza gods!!!) so I would recommend just grabbing a slice unless you have enough people to finish 8 monstrous slices!

If you're looking to grab a drink and play some pinball, Night Owl is the place to be. It's a fun date night spot. Casual vibes, and no reservations required. Last night we came for dinner, and while they have a cute outdoor patio, I'd recommend it more for a late night bite than your dinner plans. The fries were killer, and a slice of pizza always hits.

I will say, the wings and pizza were good. The server was on her game. Terrific location. Prices fair. Three stars for really POOR MAINTENANCE! Torn cushions on the patio. How much could some new seat covers cost? Would never allow my restaurants to get so shabby. we were a group with children, so i get being on the patio was a great option. Hilariously, the manager asked us to not allow the children's shoes on the torn cushions! As if they could make the exposed cushion any worse. Just laughable. But we complied w her request. Just cant see how she could ask with a straight face. Again, good food. Scary cleanliness. May order Grub Hub in the future.

Amazing food, super cute indoor ambiance with a dark-academia theme to it, and amazing outdoor patio space. They have misters and a lot of fans and tv's playing sports! Super yummy pizza slices and at killer prices, a great place to stop with the group! Expect service to be a little slow on their busier days, but it will all be worth the wait in the end!

We found this spot while visiting from out of town. We loved the eclectic, laid back atmosphere, perfect for the whole family with a great patio, with dining tables, high tables and outdoor sofa seating areas. The kids had a great time playing corn hole while we waited for our food, and playing on the pinball machines inside after we ate. We ordered buffalo wings that were nice and crispy just how we like them, a side salad to get some veggies in, and a pepperoni pizza to share. Everything was delicious, and service was great. Our only complaint is they didn't have merch on site to purchase (I especially loved the sweatshirts some of the servers had) otherwise we definitely would have went home with stuff. Can't wait to go back when we're in town next time.

Great place to go hang out on Friday & Saturday nights! They have a Dj playing all the jams! Drinks are a great price as well! I love their patio! It's so great at night!

I was nearby on Saturday night and craving some pizza. I remembered I had this place bookmarked so we zoomed on over. Parking was plentiful and the plaza itself was pretty quiet besides this place. We walked on over and the bouncers / security guards were all very friendly. They greeted us, checked our ID's, and wished us to have a great time. Once inside we waited a few minutes before the hostess came over to greet us. She was friendly and told us to pick a table, so we picked one right by the entrance. We sat down, she dropped off menus, some water, and told us the server would be right over. We looked over the menu and we decided on two slices of pizza each and some drinks. I had a slice of the Maui Waui (Hawaiian) and a Ziggy's Pie (Supreme) and my sister had a slice of the Pineapple Express (spicy Hawaiian) and a slice of the Pretty Fly for a White Pie (white sauce). For drinks I got the Saguaro Slammer and she ordered the Arizona mule. Our drinks came out right away. My Saguaro Slammer was delicious as it was made out of Fords Gin, melon Liqueur, Kiwi, Lemon, and Soda. It did not taste too strong, was pleasantly sweet, and I ordered two for myself. The Arizona mule was also very good and that one had Titos Vodka, Angostura bitters, Mint, Line, and Ginger beer - that one was strong. Our pizza slices came out not too long after and the person who dropped them off was also friendly. We asked for parmesan cheese and pepper flakes and he kindly brought them to us. The pizza was delicious. It had the right amount of toppings, the slices were big, was baked perfectly, and they all tasted really good. Our server checked up on us a few times and we saw him running around being very busy. We had a few other employees check up on us as well which we thought was nice. The music was bumping all the good ol classic hip hop hits which was a plus. We had fun, had great food, and received great service. As we left, the hostess thanked us for stopping by and the bouncers outside wished us a good night. Our total with a tip was $70.

I've never been disappointed with the pizza and wings. Great patio area with plenty of seating and the inside also has a cool vibe. They have a bunch of pinball machines along one side of the bar. Service is always friendly and attentive.

Came here for a late night bite and drink when we got into town. Not many other places were open for food, so was super happy to find a place that had fun cocktails and food past 11pm. Bar had a super fun/cool vibe. Loved that light up bartop, wall of skateboards, and christmas lights strung across. Pizza slices were big and worth the per slice price. Not the best slice I've had, but I enjoyed it and it did the job. Bartenders were friendly and got our food and drinks up quick.

Food was great, service was good, prices were...fine. You're losing two stars because your payment terminal tip range begins at over 20%. I don't know when "15% for excellent service" turned into "22% because I said so," but all you are really doing is telegraphing that you aren't paying your staff properly and it doesn't make me want to come back.

Love the feel and vibe of this spot, been here a few times , service always good, this time for some reason our food was sub-par, chicken wingz dry and hard and the pizza was burnt, damn. We couldn't believe it, maybe a new cook or something, we will give it another go, vibe is too gud. Maybe order something different

Went for the lunch special. Choice of pizza or wings, w/side and a drinks for $11! Enter through a large nice large patio in the back. We sat out there. Interior is pretty dark for the gamers, I suppose. Service was good during a mid day. Both the pizza & my wings were good. Had the greens as a side. Also good. Good first visit and a lunch is a deal. The overall menu is pretty limited, but plenty of drinks. Will be back

I generally have a rule that I DO NOT eat pizza outside of the pizza belt (Northeast area) and I especially scoff at those outside of the pizza belt who say they have "NY style pizza." But I have to say, the Night Owl pizza was almost there. At least it was decently respectable for being in Arizona. Apart from the pizza, this was just a really cool and comfortable place to hang out, with both indoor space and a large patio with tables and comfortable chairs and ample shade to enjoy a few slices and wash them down with a cold beer. Inside, they also have some retro pinball machines and a wall of old skateboards, giving it a fun and casual west coast vibe. Obviously, if you want real NY pizza, go to NY. But if you can't get there, this will do.

Night Owl is a great spot to go with some friends to hangout or to go watch the game. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and have a patio with games and couches. They also have plenty of tvs all over the place so you're never missing anything going on. Their food and drinks are delicious as well. They have a huge drink and food menu consisting of pizzas, burgers, wings, fries, etc. but what they're known for is their pizzas. They have a wide variety of signature pizzas with a lot of different toppings. My favorite is Ziggys Pie which is pretty much their take on a supreme pizza. Their slices are perfectly made in which it's cheesy and flavorful on top and the toppings are fresh while their crust is the perfect amount of crispy. I've even ordered them on DoorDash and the pizza comes great as well. In terms of staff, they are very attentive and always there to help. And the restaurant itself has a great vibe. It's a great hangout spot and could even be a decent date spot as well. Highly recommend this place!

This place is FUN! The vintage owl theme somehow goes well with the skateboards, alligator, neon clowns, pinball machine, and all the other cool things to see. The pizza and wings are delicious--we love the Pretty Fly for a White Pie Pizza the best! Great specials, too. If you like Ziggy's Magic Pizza, you'll like Night Owl

This is a wow star review! I came over for a networking event. Never having been here didn't know what to expect. Even driving into the parking lot it did not disappoint! Great big barn type doors that open into a beautiful patio. They are on a major road but you would never know it by the lush vegetation around. Seeing this was a network event they had pizza, Caesar salad and garlic knots in a buffet setting for us. The servers were amazing and moved in and out of the large group effortlessly making sure you had a drink. I didn't get to spend much time inside but they have a large bar and many games! Get over to Night Owl for the amazing food and service!

Came on a Friday and were seated inside. Eclectic vibe but great for a date night or a fun time with friends. Can get pizza by the slice and decently priced drinks. Service was fast and food was good. Also has some arcade games inside too which are fun.

Such a fun vibe in here! Awesome bar made out of pinball tables, a wall of pinball games, comfy booth seating for hanging with your friends, a huge patio with seating and cornhole, and owl decor galore! We stopped in for a late lunch while we were up in the area on a Saturday. We ordered the garlic knots to start and hubby ordered the 2 slice combo sampling a cheese and pepperoni slice. I couldn't really eat anything else on the menu, but it was a perfect little snack to hold me over until dinner. The garlic knots are crisp on outside and chewy goodness in the center and COVERED in garlic. So yummy. Will have garlic breath the rest of the night, but it was worth it. The slices were greasy - just like you'd like it especially while drinking beer- and delish. Hubby was more impressed with the pepperoni and said it was flavorful and he really liked the pizza sauce. The bar was totally full and there were only two bartenders, so it took some time get the order for slices in, but the food came out pretty quickly. The runners and bartenders were friendly and made sure our drinks didn't run empty. Would definitely come hang out here with friends if I lived closer!

Cool spot that's hidden in Scottsdale. They have a huge outdoor area with corn hole and other games. The indoor has a ton of seating, games and crazy decor. The happy hour deals are really good! Just on cocktails though. We tried the wings and we wouldn't recommend getting them. They tasted a little odd and were fatty. However, the pizza is a must try! We really enjoyed the pepperoni and jalapeño slice. Cocktails were fun.

Still going back regularly, still the best wings in town. Went after 9pm for the first time and it's more of a lively, party atmosphere! Still amazing food and service.

You guys. This place is a vibe! Whether you're looking for a quick drink and bite to eat, or hangout here with a group and play arcade games and people watch, or go on a get to know each other date, this place is it! The inside decor is so fun (darker vibe) and the bar is good sized. They have a good sized patio walking into the place that was poppin on a Friday night, dog friendly and can house a bigger group if needed. What REALLY stands out to me is their delicious Stardust wings (dry rub) get them!!! Might be my new favorite in Scottsdale. And the ziggy fries. SO TASTY! Seasoning is perfection on both, wings are crispy and tender and fries are crispy and flavorful. The pizza was pretty good but wings are outstanding! I will come here over and over. The only "downside" is it can get busy (good sign duh) so I would plan ahead or get there at a decent time. 5/5h new favorite spot!
