W Budapest Hotel Review | Hotels Above Par

"Serving as the hotel’s signature restaurant (yes, of the Beefbar brand fame), this dining room leans into Asian flavors where beef is the headliner, yet seafood and vegetable‑forward plates—especially sushi—hold their own; standouts for me were the crispy carpaccio with chipotle dressing and the yellowtail sashimi finished with a yuzu–truffle sauce. Just across the space, the companion bar mixes cocktails and pours spirits and local wines for an effortless handoff from dinner to drinks." - Shivani Vora

We had an amazing dinner at Le Petit Beefbar. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. Our server (whose name I, unfortunately, don’t remember) made the evening truly special! He knew the menu perfectly, was passionate and gave us great recommendations for both the wine and the meat! The service was flawless. The staff was patient and attentive, allowing us to take our time without ever making us feel rushed or uncomfortable. The meat was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and the dessert was unanimously loved, we were so glad we ordered it! After dinner, we enjoyed a whisky on the terrace with a breathtaking view of the Opera, which made the night even more magical! A 5-star experience that many restaurants could learn from!

We had an amazing experience at Beefbar Budapest! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was beautiful, and everything was perfectly prepared. A special shout-out to our server, Babara, who was absolutely amazing — super friendly, attentive, and made our dinner even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place!

Well, I really struggled to decide on the right rating. We visited the restaurant for a special occasion – my girlfriend’s 35th birthday. When making the reservation, I selected “Birthday” and even added a note to highlight the occasion. Upon arrival, I spoke to the hostess, who checked our reservation and showed us to our table. I was a bit unsure whether it was the right spot since I had expected at least a little decoration for the birthday. However, the table was in the first row on the terrace with a perfect view of the Opera, so we decided to stay. The service at the beginning was quick and friendly, though I felt we were mostly recommended the most expensive dishes. When I ordered the Striploin beef marinated in tamarind, sake & ginger with classic mash, I was told by the waiter that he wouldn’t recommend it because it would be “very dry.” In a restaurant specializing in beef, no steak should be dry. I ordered it anyway, medium-rare. The steak arrived cooked medium, not medium-rare as I had asked, and we also received more side dishes than we had ordered – and had to pay for them. We had ordered truffle fries instead of mash twice; one order was correct, but the other came with both mash and fries. The food itself was excellent. The steak, despite being medium rather than medium-rare, was not dry at all. I don’t know why the waiter insisted otherwise; he kept trying to push the ribeye, which was almost twice the price – but I don’t like the fatty marbling in ribeye. It’s a shame when a waiter tries to override the customer’s choice. Besides the steak and the truffle fries, we also had the truffle cordon bleu and the layered potatoes as starters. Every dish was truly outstanding. We had planned to order dessert, but the service slowed down drastically. We waited about 20 minutes before asking for a dessert menu, and only then did the waiter say he would bring one. Another 20 minutes passed, and still nothing arrived. We eventually asked another staff member for the bill and left – without dessert and without any birthday gesture, even though we had seen such touches in many of the restaurant’s photos and reviews. The service started off well but then fell apart: slow, unresponsive, overly pushy, and unmindful of the birthday occasion. To make matters worse, the next day we received an email stating that we had not shown up for our reservation – which was frankly outrageous given that we had been there and even paid the bill. As I replied on the email, no sorry or something else. All in all, I’m not sure if I would return. The food was superb, but everything else – the service, the atmosphere for a special occasion – sadly fell short. A shame, as it was meant to be a memorable birthday dinner. I can recommend it for good food, but not if you want to visit for a special reason.

Simply outstanding. Both the food and the service were really great. Stayed at the W, and was looking for a quick place to grab lunch. Ordered the steak frites and was absolutely blown away by how delicious it was. Came back two more times during our stay, once for breakfast and once for dinner. All the food was really good.

Really fancy restaurant with nice decoration ! What we ate was really nice ! For sure it’s an expensive restaurant but it’s worth it . The bao bam could be better and more fluffy but as a flavor was okay . We pay 40.000huf per person

Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit Le Petite Beefbar for the first time and it’s for sure not our last time! We were greeted by a kind and helpful hostess Lilli, who seated us in front of a window, from which we could enjoy the breathtaking Opera view. The setting of the table was wonderful, they have a different emoji for every plate you get during the dinner. 😍 Our server was very attentive the whole evening and the food was just perfect! The portions are quite big but we’re definitely not complaining. We’ve had a lovely time here, the prices are a bit high but the staff makes up for it with their service. Thank you for having us!

Stunning place to have dinner with good company. The hotel's architecture itself is gorgeous and if you have the chance to sit outside you'll enjoy a beautiful Opera view. It definitely makes a difference. Food is exquisite. I've had Veal Tenderloin and couldn't stop smiling. I know it's a Beef Restaurant but, please, don’t miss the Marbled chocolate bar. It really looks like a royal dessert with the wait staff cutting it in front of you very classily. Next level. Excellent service. Very respectful staff. Please take the time to appreciate the indoor ambience. Even the toilets look amazing!

We stayed at the attached hotel and visited the restaurant each morning. The staff were always gracious, attentive and service efficient. On several occasions we were served by Barbara, an extremely interesting and friendly staff member. The food was also great, with us sampling most of what they offered during our stay. Highly recommended.
