The Best Restaurants And Hotels In Copenhagen

"Nihao YAO is a small, family-run Taiwanese restaurant in Nørrebrod where the portions are snack-sized and intended to be shared with a group. The result is delicious food in a relaxed space where it’s easy to feel like you’re at the family table. And there’s a good chance you will be: take a look around and you’ll just as likely spot a multi-generational family gathering, including the restaurant’s owners, as you will a couple on a promising first date. Help yourself to the water jugs and vats of green tea that are placed on the communal tables with spouted pots of soya sauce and chilli oil. Ordering food feels more like ordering rounds at a bar, as you’ll find yourself going back to the counter more than once to request more braised pork belly, guabao, and potstickers, which are made from dough that’s at once crispy with a fudgey chew, and a filling so juicy it’s bound to go everywhere once you dig in. Don’t be proud, wipe your chin, and get another round in." - sorcha mccrory

I went here numerous of time when I was in CPH. I had tried all of the dishes on the menu and I loved them all. It’s a great place for Taiwanese food and boba tea. Must order dishes are the fried duck special, pork meatball soup, braised pork rice, boba milk tea and lychee black tea. Good portion. Standard Danish price. Service was friendly and quick.

Great place for Taiwanese food with some good veggie options. The veggie dumpling (green one) was delicious. I also had the purple bun, it was nice and fresh but a bit too plain for me. The spring rolls were good, and tasted better once they cooled down a bit. The place is small and cosy, and be ready to share a table.

Food is ok. Loved taiwanese food. I thinks i missed the umami or intense taste of the braised pork belly . It left me unsatisfied. My partner ordered crispy chicken bao. I have this drink that is not really refreshing and find it weird as combo with other ingredients. Its a sour and i have grass jelly . Cant remember the name. The place is small and compact.

Average bit bland food (I tried the noodle soup with beef) in a average Establishment with Service thats just okay. You'll find better spots in the area.

I love this place! I came here the first time I visited Copenhagen and so I had to come back the second time to try more dishes. For Copenhagen this place is pretty good value for money, and the food is delicious. It’s small so there might be a bit of a wait, but they have some outdoor seating too. This time around I tried a bao and their pan fried dumplings which were so good. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Visiting from the US and we chose to get Taiwanese food as that’s what my son mostly eats. We ordered the stir fried rice noodles with beef, beef noodle soup, stir fried bok choy, and braised pork over rice. We were pleasantly surprised how fragrant the stir fried rice noodles were, really good and tastes just like in Taiwan. Other dishes were good but that really stood out. My son ate it all up! Kid approved as well.

Solid food, good & nothing to complain 👍Authentic joint. Somehow didn‘t blow my mind though…. And standard Danish prices, not exactly cheap.

One of my absolute favorite places for Asian food! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, so you really can’t go wrong. I always order the potstick dumplings—they’re a must-try—but honestly, you could pick anything, and it will taste amazing. Some other favorites of mine are the bao with pork belly and the popcorn chicken. I also tried the milk tea with brown sugar which was really good. The restaurant itself isn’t very big, but very cozy and intimate. It’s perfect for a date night or catching up with a close friend. If you’re a fan of Asian cuisine and enjoy shareable dishes, I’d highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try.

Yelp
3.5 stars for us. We were surprised to find Taiwanese food in CPH during our trip so ofc we had to try! Family run biz and was quite busy on a Sunday evening. Casual ambiance with some indoor and outdoor seating. Note - no restroom on site. The gua bao and lu rou fan were delicious and as expected. Pretty authentic minus the pickles which were more Danish but still good. The beef noodle soup and potstickers were a bit disappointing but not terrible. Potsticker filling not flavorful and skin a bit dry. Beef noodle soup broth was not deep and not much beef flavor, also not sure what kind of noodles they used. Beef itself was very tender and good though. Not a bad spot if you are craving Asian food, actually run by Taiwanese people.

Yelp
Came on a Friday afternoon and the restaurant wasn't too busy. It's family run so everything feels very authentic and comforting. Tried the winter melon lemon tea and the crispy duck and both were great! The criticism I would have is the tea was a bit too sweet based on the drinks I'm used to having in Asia. Service is very fast - I think I got my food less than 10 min after ordering. Interior is clean but quite small and there is no toilet inside. Overall I look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Yelp
Got our food for takeaway in the midst of the city's lockdown. It was ready within 15 minutes and the restaurant really adhered to the distancing and sanitizing procedures. Really quick and friendly service. The braised pork was AMAZING. Tender and melt-in-the-mouth and paired with the potatoes next to it. Truly satisfying. Love the complexity of the flavors. Fried rice was satisfying and fulfilled our craving for "takeaway fried rice" that's so hard to replicate at home. Slightly charred from the wok's high heat and was packed full of deliciousness. Can't wait to come back next time to explore more of the menu. The crispy fried chicken is a well-known dish that I can't wait to bite into!

Yelp
Go for the Chinese dish menu! Eating here always makes me feel like home, I have been here more then 50 times I guess. :D Tin To Grill is a little eating spot own by a Taiwanese couple . It is not a restaurant, I would say it is more like a fastfood(take away) place, because they have many fastfood(burger and chips) on the menu, and there aren't many places to sit. Personally I will only order the Chinese food they make, very authentic, simple, fresh, and tast like home. Perfect for a dinner with friend or alone, without expensive price but still lovely food!

Yelp
Good dishes from Taiwan, free tea. Homemade, good price and nice staff. High chairs, so can't sit too long.

Yelp
Ate here during a trip to Copenhagen and I am still thinking about this meal two weeks later. The buns and soup were incredibly enjoyable. You can tell that this little family owned restaurant makes everything fresh and authentic. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this to travelers coming through the area.
