Cute little restaurant on the first floor with small rooms and tables best for 4. I wouldn't take a big group here, but it has the right friends hanging out for a few drinks vibe. Digital tablet order. Not really English friendly, but you can fumble your way through to some delicious treats. The beef tongue was excellent with this tangy acidic pickle on top. I did wind up eating a second dinner after this.

Good food, nice ambience, not expensive, cash only. What I don’t understand is people waiting in line for 45 minutes. Sorry, thats a hard no. Try every working day from 3pm to 6pm, no lines. The crab is tasty, the uni is really good. Before you finish your bowl ask for some broth and rice. Complimentary. Thats your best way to have that meal like a local.

We lined up for around 45 minutes to enter the restaurant and there were around 12 people ahead of us. They take your order in line which helps speed up the flow of this restaurant. Our family tried multiple dishes, including the Ume bowl, and the extra ones with extra king crab and salmon roe, as well as the ones with sea urchin. The portion for the sea urchin is very small. The food is very fresh, but the best part is after you are 2/3 done the broth they add is extremely flavorful. The only recommendation is that everything is slightly underseasoned, if they provide an extra soy sauce or if you order the ones with extra salmon roll, it might help season the rice more.

🍣 Tsujihan Nihonbashi – A Seafood Bowl Worth the Wait We finally made our way to @tsujihan_kaisendon_ in Nihonbashi, and let me tell you—it lived up to the hype! Known for their incredibly fresh and affordable kaisendon (seafood rice bowls), this little gem is popular with both locals and visitors, and yes, we had to queue for a bit. But every minute in line was worth it once that first bite hit the table. We went straight for their signature Zeitaku-don, which literally translates to “luxury bowl”—and it absolutely was. A generous helping of fresh sashimi atop a perfectly seasoned bed of rice, each element thoughtfully presented. The fish was buttery, delicate, and bursting with flavour. What makes the experience even more special is the step-by-step way of enjoying the meal, which the staff kindly explain. After you’ve savoured most of your bowl, they serve a warm, umami-rich tai-dashi (sea bream broth) to pour over the remaining rice—transforming it into a comforting ochazuke-style dish to end on a soothing note. The space is small and intimate, with an efficient system that ensures the queue moves steadily. It’s the kind of place where simplicity meets excellence, and you leave feeling completely satisfied. If you’re in Tokyo and love seafood, Tsujihan is a must-visit. Come early, be patient, and let the meal speak for itself. #TokyoEats #SeafoodBowl #KaisendonLovers #NihonbashiEats #CoupleTravels #Tsujihan #ZeitakuDon

We went for shop on a Monday evening, around 7pm. There wasnt a que and both of us were seated within 5 minutes. The shop is a bit small with limited seatings so if its during peak time there might be a longer que/wait time. We ordered 1 take, 1 matsu and 1 tuna sashimi. This is our first meal in japan after a long flight. The sashimi are fresh are just amazing! I can see why the kaisen don are so famous, well worth the price. Half way through, you can request them to add the soup and it totally changes the taste profile. So good! I would highly recommend everyone to come here and try their don. They have a few branches, so pick the one closest to you! PS : If you love uni, you can add extras but they are quite pricey. Still the value u get here in Japan is uncomparable, so if you have the dough, just go for it.

We finally decided to eat at 'Nihonbashi Kaisen Donburi Tsujihan' in Nihonbashi, Chuo City. The line was very long, 3 loops by the time we came at 1:30p on a Saturday. After fifteen minutes, someone gave us their simple menu then after a few minutes, came back to take our order. At least, once we sit, our food is ready. The restaurant is very small and can only sit from 9-10 customers at a time!! No wonder it's a long wait. We ordered all ordered the 'Matsu Course' with additional sashimi, and ordered beer as well. Our meal came to 3500yen (@$24). Make sure you have cash as this is a cash only establishment. The meal was delicious. The sea urchin was smooth and tasty. I mixed all the ingredients with the soy sauce and wasabi mix then leaving some sashimi to add to leftover rice and soup. I tried my hubs and didn't like it much. The staff were friendly and speaks some English. We waited an hour and a half, and ate within fifteen minutes! Haha Their price was decent for what we ordered. Glad I was able to try this once but to wait this long, not sure I could do it again. To the owners, this was a pleasant meal experience. Well worth a try.

Donburi was tasty. Salmon sashimi was great! Get there early and you won’t have a problem being seated. We got there around 16:30, and within 10-15mins the place was full.

The people working there were very enthusiastic and seemed to be happy to be working there. The atmosphere was nice with a casual feeling. Also, you are supposed to mix your food and stuff, which was pretty cool. The food was good but I really appreciated the workers there. :)
