NIKKEI NINE

I had an incredible evening at NIKKEI NINE! The atmosphere is elegant and stylish, with a warm and welcoming vibe that makes the experience feel special from the moment you walk in. The food was outstanding. The wagyu was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth and perfectly prepared, and the sushi was fresh and beautifully presented. The sake selection was amazing too — it paired so well with the dishes and elevated the whole meal. Service was professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it for the quality and overall experience. Perfect for a special occasion or just a memorable night out in Hamburg. Highly recommended!

Food was fabulous. Service was fantastic. We did the omakase menu and it didn’t disappoint. The ceviche was out of this world. The only point of issue was, sometime the music was a little techno-club like and too loud for our tastes. At other times, the music was great.

The atmosphere was wonderful. Since I was alone, making a reservation was a bit difficult, but when I asked the hotel for help, they arranged it for me. I ordered the 5-course menu, and each dish was more delicious than the last. The meal ended perfectly with dessert. My server, Suna, was very attentive and provided excellent service.

Excellent food and drinks. Service felt occasionally slow but we enjoyed ourselves. Cocktail bar is amazing.

The food was good, but not super extraordinary, which I would expect for that price. The service and flair as well as everything else was very nice.

Nikkei Nine is a true gem of Nikkei cuisine. The atmosphere is quite nice, although it's an underground bar-restaurant, but the decoration is quite warm and nice. Furthermore, the food is great. I had the chance to try some of the anticuchos, which were fantastic, and really nice grilled and marinated with super marinades. Furthermore, I had the chance to try the tuna with poncho and truffle, which was a fantastic, remarkable dish that it's a must to eat over there. And the causa with the tempura prawns was extremely nice as well. While the korokke dish didn’t quite meet expectations, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. The black cod was good as well, and in general the service was great, and the cocktails were very nice, although they didn't have any pisco cocktail that you expect to have in a Peruvian restaurant.

Friendly staff. Great selection of liquors and cocktails. Nice food in general but avoid the sushis at all cost - they're subpar and ridiculously overpriced. Keep in mind that this place caters to a posh clientele of Hamburgers - make what you want of this warning.

I was here for my boyfriends birthday. It is quite expensive but worthy it. The service was amazing, the waiters try to do their best for you to enjoy the dinner. The quality for the food is top. The only thing we didn't like was that the table next to us order a place which looks delicious but the meat is cooked on the table so you will have all the smell in your clothes and hair.

I feel bad writing this review because the server actually seemed like a nice individual. However at a restaurant of this quality there are certain standards that should be at least the bare minimum. We had a reservation at 8:30 pm and weren't seated until 8:40 after arriving 10 minutes early. There was only one host working and a line of 5 reservations waiting to be seated. One of these tables happened to get their starter before we had even been given a drink menu (they gave us food menus to start). It took another half an hour for us to get our drinks and put in our food orders. When that did happen, one of the appetizers we ordered was sold out. (I know this happens, but they included it on our bill at the end of the meal). When our entrees did come out, they brought the wrong entree for my girlfriend and she had to wait another 20 minutes for her food (sashimi). All told it was almost 3 hours from the time we were seated until we were able to pay the check. I'm sure some people would not mind not being rushed, but when this length is due to your table largely being ignored and continuous mistakes being made by the staff it is very frustrating. All we were offered was a "we are very sorry! This is not normal. Please give us another chance." I don't see this happening as our customer experience was so poor. The only reason for this being two stars is the food is actually good as well as the ambiance. And although that combination is a majority of the experience the service and professionalism was so poor I can't in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone.

This place is nice, cosy and I could really unwind here. Staff is super friendly, funny and has a good attitude. Also their food is very tasty. They also offer a great lunch menu.

Expensive! Just be warned that this isn't a cheap or medium priced place. Our bill came up very quickly to over €150 for two people, with only a few cold sushi rolls to eat. For example, (Just) 2 slices of tuna sashimi is €5, the small Black Forest cake was €14 But... the food is amazing. For a more traditional style Japanese restaurant they use great fresh ingredients and excellent preparation. The tuna sashimi (while pricey) simply melts in your mouth, as with the salmon sashimi too. The staff were friendly and attentive, the other patrons seemed a bit pretentious, but that's the type of clientele I guess. Dress standard seemed very formal, and while they did let us in wearing jeans and a sports jacket, we did feel out of place. Very, very good food, but the value is maybe a bit out of kilter. I've eaten similar quality levels of sushi for much more reasonable prices.

Loved it! Super good food with high variety. Very nice staff. And the place looks amazing. Its so beautiful. The style is really unique and i love it. The only thing that i dont like was the price. It was really expensive 350£ for 3 people. But it was all worth it.
