I love fusions and this one did not disappoint. Nikkei of Peru in Port Clinton was worth the train ride from NYC. It delivers an unforgettable dining experience (sit at the counter) where Peruvian tradition meets Japanese flavors. The service is warm, attentive, but not overbearing. The flavors are bold, vibrant, and deeply layered every single bite was divine! Bursting with flavor. I recommend you ask for the specials and definitely order the following: 1.Classic Peruvian Ceviche – Bright, fresh, citrus-forward, and perfectly balanced. 2. Lychee Martinis-I had 2 juicy well balanced smooth 3. Wagyu Beef Tacos-these were a special! Tender bursting with flavor, easy to eat one bite 4. Port Washington Signature Sushi Roll – Beautifully crafted, creative, and packed with fresh flavor a little crunch on top! Perfection 5. Lobster Rolls-the bun is enough to make you dance! Crispy on the outside soft and buttery on the inside 6. Roasted Chicken*** you have never had chicken so packed with seasoning, crispy on the outside, a hint of lemon so delicious Nikkei of Peru is not too far from NYC it hits every note: flavor, presentation, service, and ambiance. A true gem in Port Clinton (which is adorable town ) and absolutely worth a return visit.

One of the gems of the Port Washington culinary scene. Always lively, you are bound to run into someone you know. Good for a nice family dinner, date night or whatever you need. The sushi menu is creative and tasty - and they were very flexible when I asked to substitute one roll for another in the sushi dinner. The location is great - nice outdoor seating with a water view and ample (but tight) indoor seating. Plenty of parking in the stop n shop lot. If you haven’t eaten here yet, you should.

Best sushi in port Washington- Definitely my new go to. I ordered the Port Washington roll and Titanic roll and they were absolutely decadent. My father ordered the sushi special and he was shocked with how tasty and uniquely crafted each nigiri was. This plate is something you’d order at a NYC Omakase for 10x the price. My mother got the spicy lemon shrimp and was absolutely obsessed with it. We started with the crispy rice ( just like nobu) shisito peppers and the yellowtail jalepeno. Simply delicious.

Nice decor, a bit dark depends on your mood. The staff is great and very patience to explain everything. The cuts of sashimi are very fresh and fatty. It's a good fusion of Japanese and Peruvian styles. It's a bit pricey but worth the money!

Very interesting blend of tastes! The lamb chops were probably my favorite. Unique flavors! The special rolls were a bit smaller than we're used to, so had to order some extra food to get full, but overall we enjoyed the experience. The ambiance is dark and romantic. You're also right across from the water which is nice. Would recommend!

A very nice and cozy restaurant. It's next to the water. We went at night and it's winter; so we couldn't tell if there were any views . However; I'm sure that in the Spring/Summer it adds to the atmosphere in some capacity. They offer an interesting blend of Peruvian and Japanese dishes on the menu. In addition, there is a small but nice sake selection as well. I really enjoyed the lamb chops and brussel spouts appetizers. The miso soup was good as well. I liked the scallops, but there was too much going on in terms of flavors. Next time I would order the Chilean Sea Bass that my wife had. This was very delicious. As for the dessert, my loved her churros! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall a good experience.

Came here on a weekday night with some friends and we made a reservation for dinner about 1-2 weeks ahead. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant so parking is fairly convenient. The restaurant is located right across a harbor and has beautiful views! We were lucky enough to get a 4 person table outside overlooking the water, which made our dinner so pleasant. Service was quick and easy, had no issues there. The restaurant hours are pretty tricky though they are only open for a few hours each night so would definitely made a reservation even if you are coming on a weekday. The food was actually very very good!! Given the Japanese and Peruvian fusion, there is a lot of sushi options on the menu but also a lot of asian fusion dishes and Peruvian dishes. We were able to order a lot of different things like the peppers, eggplant chips, beef wontons, mushroom soup, mix ceviche, cripsy rice rushi, scallops, lemon shrimp, and sliders. Honestly everything was delicious. What stood out the most were the peppers and the beef wonton. The flavors were very unique, not sure if I can say I've had anything similar elsewhere. Overall, we did not think Nikkei of Peru was too expensive either, felt like we got a very decent amount for what we paid for. Combined with the view and the adorable town of Port Washington, this is a wonderful place to eat!

Sushi rolls were fresh; hostess was very accommodating, nice atmosphere. Port Washington roll was delicious! Definitely coming back a few more times this summer !

Overall the food was very hood and great service. We had a wonderful time. Only downfall, the Lomo Saltado I ordered was medium and it came out medium well but I won't take off a full start for that. 4.5/5

Ok, so if you like Nobu and you live in Long Island, you're gonna wanna check this place out. Although the restaurant looks like your typical sushi spot, Nikkei of Peru serves a fusion menu blending Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, same as the hot spot Nobu. The head chef here was even educated by ORIGINAL CHEF NOBU which I thought was cool. Anyways let's talk FOOD: Definitely start with the Mia Margarita - it's a little tart, not too sweet, made with Chile and passionfruit. So good. All the appetizers were soooo good - highlights were the warm mushroom salad and tuna tataki All of the special sushi rolls were delicious, the maguro roll was my favorite. I will say though the special rolls are definitely on the tinier side... I think this might be the Peruvian style of sushi they serve.. I sometimes love ending my sushi meals with a warm dish. We loved the Rosemary Miso Lamb Chops, they were cooked perfectly. And the omg the Chilean Seabass with Miso was soooo good. It was buttery and melt in your mouth! I would recommend ordering this with white rice to soak up the miso sauce. Lastly, it would be an absolute crime to leave here without ordering the churros, they literally had this custard jelly inside them. Definitely check this place out if you already haven't! Definitely not worth the hype. Food was good, portions were tiny tiny! I felt like they cut the sushi with a scalpel! Drinks and appetizers were so small! I will stick my other sushi spots!

Nikkei of Peru is simply one of the best sushi restaurants you can go to. Located in a unassuming strip of Port Washington, the food here is on par with any upscale Manhattan sushi bar. Everything we had was delicious here. The crispy rice was incredible - small blocks of deep fried rice accompanied by spicy tuna (the server gave us a tip and told us to dip the rice in their soy sauce before putting on the tuna - delectable) that was by far the best iteration we've had. We also got their wagyu special which although it was a splurge, it was well worth it as the thin slices of beef melted on our tongues. Warm mushroom salad was full of umami flavor and their lobster sliders were full of lump meat (although the fried bao was a weird vehicle). Main dishes were also just as epically good. The sashimi was fresh, the rolls were full of ingredients and not rice and the sea bass was cooked perfectly. Service and ambiance here are great. Our server was knowledgable, friendly and made the dining experience fantastic. Prices are higher than the neighboring Japanese spots in Port Washington but the food here is second to none. Really a first rate experience, highly recommended.

I came here on the recommendation of a neighboring restaurant owner. There are several great restaurants in Port Washington so I was looking for a great time and had a high expectation. The restaurant is located near a strip mall and is directly across from the water as you may have seen described in other reviews. There are about 6 tables directly outside the front of the restaurant and give you a birds eye view of the water and boats coming in and out of the marina. Today was picture perfect with a cool breeze and a 75 degreed temperature. Sunny skies and that added to the experience. The restaurant is only offering outdoor seating even though Nassau County allows limited capacity indoor seating. They have a tent set up in the parking lot which looks like it has around 15 tables. I opted to sit in front of the restaurant. Hours are a little strange, Sunday through Wednesday are 5 pm to 9 m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday are 5 pm to 9 pm. I wish they were open for lunch. Nikkei of Peru looks like it would be nice to eat indoors. They have a tv above the bar and sushi area. The bathrooms were spotless and they had plenty of towels and sanitizing equipment. They allow for only one person at a time. All of the staff were wearing masks and gloves, they did a great job enforcing prevention and were constantly sanitizing all of the chairs and tables. The restaurant is very clean and you can see the pride in the workers which I am sure was there even before the pandemic. Everything is spread out and I felt comfortable eating there. Service was great, William who I read about in other reviews is very friendly, spends time describing the dishes, and was a fun person to be around. He was prompt, courteous and gave you the right amount of space not being too attentive and definitely not short in any way. The staff worked well as a team and made sure your plates were cleared and the water was always filled. Now for the food... To sum it up in one word "outstanding"! They are Japanese/ Peruvian fusion which is a different spin on your traditional Japanese experience. They have a great selection from fish, to beef to chicken. There is something for everyone and kids are welcome. Just a quick tip the specials which I did not order seemed overpriced. For example they had I believe a 6oz Kobe beef dish that you can cook at the table for $60. This does not come with any sides, not even rice. You can cook it over hot stones. I saw a couple order after eating a few rolls and shared the dish. They had to order something else. The rolls were outstanding although a little on the small size for the money. What you do notice is that all the food is extremely fresh, I don't think there is a chance that any of the fish was frozen. There is flavor in every bite. For example I ordered the Rye Roll which is crunch spicy scallop top with yellowtail tuna. It has a few small brussel sprouts on top which burst with flavor. We also had the Port Washington roll which is a crunchy, spicy king crab avocado top with seared scallop. It is topped with crunch onions. For mains I had the salmon which was served with the crispy skin on top which is extremely healthy. It is served with roasted potatoes, grilled tomatoes and asparagus. There were also a few dipping sauces and rice. Again, flavor in every bite and it was a nice size piece of fish. The Lomos Salados is the ribeye steak and vegetables which is served with 3 dipping sauces and rice. This was a great dish for those that like red meat. There were several other special entrees including a short rib dish, a chicken dish, Sushi or Sashimi dish, a Sea Scallop dish and a Braised Short rib dish. The special entrees came with a small salad and miso soup which was the best value. I did not stick around for desert although they had a great variety of deserts. Overall pricing was fair, the best value are the special entrees. The rolls are expensive and should be bigger. That and the price of the specials are the only thing I can find fault with. They have a good selection of drinks and offer take out as well . Great experience, nice ambience this time of year and I would recommend them and go back in the future.

I was really hyped to try Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine. I love Japanese food. I love Peruvian food. So I must love their combinations. First came the miso and the salad. It was stronger in flavor than traditional Japanese but still very similar. Then came the Tuna Tataki & Uzusukuri Nikkei Style appetizers. We were not impressed. The flavor was indeed unique. The tuna was better than the fluke. The fried garlic didn't add much to the Uzusukuri. At that point, my expectations was very low. The choclo was better than what I had in other Peruvian restaurants. It didn't stick between my teeth. It was crispy and reminded me of tater tots. Great for large groups. Then came the Tacu Tacu. That was the turning point. It was so good. Finally our main course arrived. The Nikkei Inspired Sushi and the Rye roll. We were in heaven. The food was on par with Omakase style sushi. The Peruvian touch was in the sauce. I blended into the sushi creating a unique profile that I have never tasted. My wife and I was disappointed that we didn't each had our own plate. The flavor profile at Nikkei is definitely stronger than traditional Japanese cuisine. Not everything works together but when they do, your taste buds would be ecstatic!

Been here once but definitely will be returning! Service and food was great! Wish they had more vegan options but I expected that! It's not a vegan restaurant but definitely vegan friendly with veggie roll options as well as appetizers!

This is a mixed review based on 1 dine in experience and 2 takeout experiences. My recommendation is to eat in, not do takeout especially since the last takeout order was completely messed up because we ordered the 15 piece inspiration but got the 8 piece with tuna roll inspiration, and the latter is not very inspirational. The Peruvian corn was the highlight of our order. The rest of the dishes were a bit bitter and monotone starting with the salad. They do not use the typical ginger dressing you get at other places, which is unfortunate because their dressing is not that pleasant. The miso soup was very deep in flavor but also a bit salty. The sushi pieces were also a bit singular in flavor of bitter and saltiness so nothing stood out other than maybe the tuna with some mini rice balls on top. The tuna roll was meh. When we dined in, we got the 15 piece which I remember as being a bit more diverse in flavors. But the last time we ordered takeout, we got the correct 15 piece order and it was not as good as when we ate in. Maybe because the sauces permeate the rice and become more prominent. Whatever it is, dine in is what I would recommend although the place is pretty small and can get pretty busy. Not sure if they take reservations but if they do, you should definitely make one and avoid takeout.

This place delivers every single time. I ordered the Buttifara Sliders, and it's like every single piece of stress melted away with the first bite. If you've never eaten here you've only been cheating yourself from some of the best food you will ever have. If this place ever closes, I think it would force me into depression.

So .... Really really good sushi... amazing actually ... but if the food it this good why only three stars you ask ? Because it was a Peruvian Asian fusion concept that simply failed to deliver.

Such a cute place with yummy food and attentive service. I'd say it's more Japanese with a slight Peruvian twist than the reverse. The shishito peppers were really good. My scallops were ok, nothing I would order again, I'll definitely be back to try other dishes... the menu is filled with tasty choices! My only gripe was that the parking lot was super small and one of the parked cars took up two spots, forcing us to park on the street (a few blocks away), which is virtually impossible in that area. Also, make a reservation ahead of time as the place is quite small and tight - the tables are pretty much on top of one another.

Nice neighbourhood place to go to. Very friendly staff , esp the Manager, who is very accommodating to cutomes' requests. Would have gone there more often if they look into the air filtration system in this virus pervasive environment

I wanted to give this place a 5 stars but after going there for dinner, I got food poisoning. The churros are great though...

This place is a stand alone building placed in front of a shopping center, but right across the street is the bay! They have a small parking lot, but if you sit out front, the view is gorgeous. Ambiance and waitstaff: I've only sat outside, which has wicker furniture and umbrellas and some hanging lights! It's not anything spectacular but it gets the job done and the view is worth it! Waitstaff is attentive and food comes out pretty fast! It gets busy, so you might want to make a resie! Even on a Monday it was packed! Food: Soooooooooo good! I've been there twice now and everything we've tried has been delicious! The most recent time I went was this past week and whether you love sushi or not, there are many options to please! We began with the tacu tacu bites, which are crispy sushi rice squares served with your choice of spicy tuna, salmon or yellowtail on the side. (We got spicy tuna)! We also ordered the waygu beef which has a pretty hefty price tag, but is soooo delicious! It's 4oz of meat that you cook yourself on a hot stone! Served with 3 dipping sauces (teriyaki, chimichurri, and a spicy sauce). The meat is like butter, it is so good, and it's a fun experience! We ordered a few sushi rolls which we delicious (rye roll and titanic roll) and the sliders, which were juicy and served on steamed buns! Yum! We also ordered the sushi pizza, which was good.... But definitely not sushi pizza, more like sushi nachos, haha it was like 4 crispy tortilla chips with the tuna, cucumber, eel sauce and some crispy kale. Amazing restaurant. One of the better sushi places around town. You can't go wrong with either Japanese or Peruvian food. The highlights are the choclo (Peruvian corn), tacu tacu bites, and every piece of sushi you can afford. The inspiration sushi is a great bang for your buck.

Went on a Monday... Nice small place with a good view of the harbor but to be honest the sushi didn't taste fresh and our server had too many tables to take care of where we were slightly neglected. Maybe will try it again to see if it's a better experience.

Covid Friendly This restaurant is offering outdoor seating, as well as in-door seating. Their outdoor seating consists of a large tent, very well spaced out in their parking lot, and some seating in front of their restaurant, as well as on the side. Properly spaced, definitely more than 6 feet apart. Workers wear masks, and gloves. The Food I ordered the Beef Carpaccio, the Nikkei Inspiration Sushi, the Nikkei Inspiration Sashimi, the Port Washington Roll, and lastly the Spider Roll. I have a very sensitive stomach, and am very picky about my sashimi. Like most people, when it isn't fresh, it just doesn't sit well with me. I very much enjoyed my meal here. Everything was very well prepared, and just by the quality of the sushi, you know that it was fresh. I would definitely return again. There's a few other things I'd like to try! If you're looking for a nice sushi dinner, I would definitely recommend this place!

Super fresh and creative sushi and sashimi, the displays are so amazing and appetizing. Love the uniqueness of all dishes, especially the lobster rolls.

The flavors here are unique and amazing! My party of 2 ordered 6 tapas and the churros for dessert, which came out to be a perfect amount of food. The most outstanding dishes were the lamb chops, soft shell crab tempura, and warm mushroom salad, but everyone was quite excellent! I'll definitely remember this place for another special occasion!

Stumbled upon this place while we were taking stroll near port Washington. It was Saturday night so the place was packed but we asked if they'd be able to take us as a walk in and they seated us right away! They have a tent outside in their parking lot for outdoor dining which is where we sat. The food here was amazing! The sushi was so good, all the apps were so flavorful and tasty. We got the rock shrimp, the tacu tacu bites (very similar to the crispy rice at Nobu Or Toku), and the ceviche. For drinks, the lychee martini was super strong and refreshing. The portion sizes were pretty small but the flavor made up for that. Overall, great place to go to if you're craving some good sushi & strong drinks and don't want to go out to the city for a quality meal

Portions are very small, we order the tacu tacu bites, Pisco salmon there were ok but we were really surprised with the hand rolls, they are super small, tiny. Also the sushi rolls were small. It is not worthy, they are better places for sushi rolls and hand rolls. They have a good space with a nice view and service is good.

Came to check this place out with Mike S and it was a fun and interesting dinner, it's definitely a fusion place but the combos were pretty interesting. The restaurant is not that big but they had a nice area out front with a few tables facing the water, it would be a great place to watch the sunset. Had an amazing time outdoor dining here! There were 2 of us in our party and we made an outdoor reservation for 7pm. We sat and faced the boats and water which was so nice! All the waiters were so helpful and nice. Everything was clean and I felt distanced enough outside. I got the MIA Margarita which was VERY good. It is passion fruit which I was unsure about originally, but it is a very well made margarita and not spicy at all. We had the Wagu beef special which, though expensive, is 100% worth it. Not only was it a fun experience cooking the beef on the stone, but it was delicious. I loved all 3 sauces for dipping! The Taku bites are a MUST. the crispy rice and spicy sushi of your choice (we went salmon) was sooo good! We got 4 speciality rolls to split, my favorite being the scallop roll with the Brussels sprout on top! It was all so fresh and very tasty. We also had churros for dessert which were your typical churro. Had a great experience!! Would love to go back.

Generally, I am not a fan of Asian fusion type places because in my experience it means they are going to do mediocre interpretations of foods from different cultures. I do NOT place Nikkei of Peru in the same category. To my mind the Peruvian influence makes sense considering the population of Peru is approximately 15-20% Asian and the Peruvian usage of chimichurri, aji, jalapeno, citrus, etc. seems like it would be a great match for sushi and sashimi - spoiler alert: IT WAS! Arrived for an early Saturday night dinner in cold March hoping we didn't have to wait, as this time, we didn't. This place looks like it would be great for warm weather being across the street from the water and they have a garage door front and outdoor patio to enjoy the views that are slightly diminished by being on the wrong side of a busy road. Space is small, seating is somewhat tight and the decor represents the mix of cultures well with the simple dark wood and leather furniture typical of most sushi spots, but the walls were painted bright oranges with colorful artwork suggesting the Peruvian influence. Service was attentive with a good pace of meal. We started with a small nigori sake and I ordered a Hitachino White Ale, which at $12 seemed over priced. The creamy spicy crab made for an interesting appetizer a cooked concoction of crab stick, scallion and fish eggs in a vinegary Tabasco like sauce. Of the two items that came with my meal the red miso soup was very good with a little more depth of flavor over typical Miso soups served elsewhere. The small salad with the onion soy vinaigrette was outstanding. I went for the Nikkei Inspiration Sushi, and I must say, currently at $26, is perhaps the most inexpensive "omakase" in the Tri-state area. The nigiri pieces were the smallest I ever seen anywhere - literally narrower than my finger, but the small bites packed a lot of flavor. I call this "omakase" because the pieces are chef choice. I found them all interesting with chimichurri on fluke, aji sauce on yellowtail, miso sauce on Tuna, cripsy brussel sprout on salmon, among others - these selections may change by what "inspires" the chef. Although the fish quality was not the very best you can find I wasn't expecting it to be because of the strong flavors/sauces accompanying the pieces it works in the way "spicy" rolls work by elevating a lesser cut of fish. We also ordered the rainbow and kiss of fire from the special rolls - they were a bit on the smallish side, but tasty. For dessert the black and white fondant was worthwhile with its rich, chocolate cake with white chocolate sauce. The green tea ice cream was creamy, but could use more (always use more) green tea flavor. Overall, I have to say, you can get good value for the money here if you know what to order. The Nikkei Inspiration Sushi is a fun little adventure with an extremely reasonable ticket cost for the ride. Avoid the overpriced Hitachino, which I should have done - the slightly sweet and inexpensive Sapporo always works well with sushi. Go early on weekends because it gets packed, probably more so in warmer weather.

Love the eclectic creative menu fusing the flavors of Japan and Peru together. Everything here is excellent and tasty. I love the lamb chops and warm mushroom salad. The sushi is fresh and goes down nicely with hot sake. The Peruvian corn is a great appetizer. I also love their fluke. Dining room is on the smaller side but tables are spaced nicely. You can catch a view of the waters of Manhasset Bay from where you dine. They also have an outdoor tent for those who want to dine outside. Parking is on the side.

It's out of this world sushi. The chef is a genius! Me and my family come here weekly. True gem in Port Washington

While the sushi is fresh and prepared well I'm giving this place a 1 based on value. Their specialty rolls range from $13-18 but are the size of what a regular roll would be anywhere else. For $15 they serve 6 slices in their yellowtail Jalapeño appetizer, each about as thick as a slice of meat you can get at a deli counter. For $14 you can get a small bowl of greasy brussel sprout leaves probably the equivalent of 7-10 whole buds. The fish in their handrolls is barely visible. I actually had to open up the roll make sure they didn't forget it. The slice was about the size a small string bean. Our check was $150 for the two of us and we left hungry. Very disappointing. Don't be fooled by the close up shots in the pics.

By far the best sushi experience in Port Washington. The gyoza are incredible and so is the Kobe beef taco special. The service exceeds expectations, we have recently become regulars here and will be back many times

The ambience of this place stood out because of the magnificent view they had witha a giant window facing the water. The service was great and all of the staffs are really hospitable. Nevertheless, those are just bonus as what really won me was of course, their food. This Japanese-fusion restaurant blew me away then I expect it would. We ordered several appetizers, sashimi, and sushi rolls. - Crispy rice with spicy tuna: Apparently this is a quite common appetizer, but it's my first time trying it. Living up to the name, these bite-sized rice cube was indeed crispy and went great with the spicy tuna both in taste and texture - Taco: it's an incredibly tiny taco with crispy hard shells and I can't quite make out what's the green sauce. At first I thought it was some sort of salsa verde. Take everything in one bite. The taco had a light refreshing taste that can stimulate our appetite making it the perfect appetizer - Gyoza: perhaps one of the best gyozas I've had. Skin was not too thick, crispy bottom, generous and juicy filling, and incredibly fragrant - Rosemary lamb: do me a favor and get this one! Perfectly tender and moist with refreshing sauce with earthy flavor from the herb. It's SO delicious - Soft shell crab and watermelon: first time trying this combo and aren't they life-changing? Crispy soft shell mixed with refreshing watermelon tied together with a tangy sauce creating a new taste adventure with an incredible texture combo. It just works so well - Th sashimi platter was so delicious and fresh, including the uni - Unfortunately I forgot the name of the 2 rolls I ordered but they were one of the most recommended. It came out quite small but they tasted good. To close we had spicy scallop hand rolle and I love how they ACTUALLY contain spicy scallop instead of being overwhelmingly filled with tenkasu (the crunchy flour, which indeed is good but sometimes I felt a bit cheated when a roll is filled with only that) - To close we had this sort of caramelized banana with ice cream for dessert. I's recommend to share this one as portion was pretty big, although of course you can have it for yourself too. Perfectly soft with a slight crispness on the outside, it made a wonderful end to the meal Looking forward to another wonderful experience hopefully in the future

Japanese Peruvian fusion was new to me and I'm glad that I tried it here! Service was great and quick. The server was attentive and very friendly. They seated us indoors and it was very clean. Food tasted very fresh and well seasoned overall. I feel like the Peruvian style influenced the seasoning and taste of the Japanese food here and made things much tastier. Sauces provided were almost just an option or preference as the food presented so much flavor without the need for sauce. The Beef gyoza served with the sesame sauce was surprisingly different and very good! I expected regular tasting gyoza but it tasted like fresh beef marinated and molded into a meatball with a flavorful sauce to go with it. Crispy on the outside and jam packed with flavor in the inside. The crispy rice with spicy yellowtail was delicious; the right amount of crunch in the rice and the spicy yellowtail was very fresh. I was very happy with my choice in entrée, the sea scallops in jalapeño salsa & guacamole. The succulent sea scallops were grilled to a medium rare and placed on a dollop of guacamole and topped with diced jalapeños. Perfectly seasoned even without the guacamole. The stir fried potatoes and string beans that come with it were phenomenal! They seemed to be seasoned with a lime/salt/vinegar dressing and it was absolutely amazing. The lomo saltado came with 3 different types of sauce, but one in particular that stood out was the creamy chimichurri. Meat was on the chewier side but it was seasoned well and came along with those delicious potatoes! Finished with a classic never disappointing chocolate lava cake paired with green tea ice cream. Definitely will be back to try other options.

We came for dinner on the Saturday of Memorial weekend about 630pm. The place was buzzing! Unfortunately it had just rained so we did not opt to sit outside. They did have the glass doors rolled up so we could still enjoy the view and breeze. The restaurant is pretty cozy with minimal decor. The menu is fusion -- we tried the tacos and cod with filo to start. The tacos were pretty yummy but bite size. The tomatillo salsa totally worked with the fresh tuna, salmon and yellowtail. As for the cod, I enjoyed the texture but the sauce was way too sweet and the filo didn't really seem to compliment the cod at all. We tried the Kiss of Fire, Port Washington, Crazy Maguro and Ocean rolls. All of them were quite delicious. My favorite was the Port Washington. Butttt all of the rolls were so small for special rolls. Less rice is used, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Unless you're hungry! I enjoyed the dinner and ambiance but do not see myself returning due to cost and portion size.

I've been here a few times now and each time has not disappointed! This restaurant is small but cozy. There is outdoor seating for the warmer months which gives a decent view of the Port Washington Bay right across the street. Note that this place is on a somewhat busy road. For the food, I love all the flavors and they have a pretty large variety of options that will be sure to fit what you're looking for. All the raw fish/sashimi served tasted really fresh. The sushi rolls I would consider are smaller than other restaurants because they put less rice in the rolls. We ordered some special dishes that were not on the menu like Kumamoto Oysters, wagyu beef (same meat that's served at Nobu but at a much cheaper price), soft shell crab with watermelon. They were all fantastic and flavorful. Overall, this restaurant serves up a great fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. The price to food portion ratio is a little high in my opinion. However I highly recommend for anyone looking to try something new! Will definitely be back :)

Great view. Attractive space. Always good apps. Nice people. Also had a pretty good Japanese IPA today. Good place to go for sushi when not everyone in your party is into sushi. Solid choice.

Was hoping for authentic Peruvian dishes but it was a major disappointment. The lomo saltado on the menu said it was made with ribeye and sautéed with vegetables but it was some dry piece of cheap sirloin and some roasted potatoes on the side with a few string beans. Their ceviche was not really flavorful and wasn't as acidic as it should be. Their sushi rolls were really small and overpriced. We also asked for steamed veggies for our baby and they gave us roasted veggies that were hard. The servers all seemed really frazzled and spilled beer all over our table. Won't be going back as the food wasn't great and not worth the prices they charge. Too bad since their location is nice.

Had their lychee martini... pretty strong. Shirley Temple for my kid. Pretty perfect. We had the Rock Shrimp Tempura and the tacos for appetizers. The steak (lomo saltado), chicken katsu and sashimi for entrees. Everything was done just right. Great ambiance.

Absolutely amazing! You can not find fresher fish. The salmon sashimi is absolutely to DIE for! Not pictured is the tacu tacu bites.... can't go wrong with either spicy tuna or spicy salmon (probably my favorite thing on the menu). Rock shrimp tempora is *chefs kiss* so good! Never been disappointed!

Service is not good. Takes a long time for the food to come. Overpriced. Packed area. Food tastes okay.

The food is very delish. We ordered so many excellent dishes. We love the tuna pizza, crispy rice, the miso cod, fluke, and special snow crab. They have a huge outdoor seatings in front of the restaurant and at the parking lot. Overall, it is an excellent experience dine in at this place

Overall tasty sushi. The menu was unique in that they incorporate Mexican fusion into some of their dishes. The setting can be romantic and I do recommend trying.

Food ok - service terrible - enjoyed spending $1000 for dinner in a 10 degree igloo - got frostbite when empty tables inside were open never again

I've only been here once, but it was enough for me to give it five stars. From the service to the food (especially the food!!) everything was so creatively put together and delicious as well. I ordered the inspiration sushi (forgot to take a photo because I was starving haha) and the plating was gorgeous. Every piece was handmade and made with love and experience. We also ordered the lobster sliders - which are only seasonal items (at least that's what my boyfriend told me) - and those were spectacular as well. The taste of the lobster was fresh and seasoned by the ocean, it was really good :) We also ordered a few side dishes, such as rock shrimp & the gyoza dumplings. Rock shrimp's spicy mayo sauce with black sesame seeds was great. I've had plently of rock shrimp appetizers before but this one's colored popped because I felt it was well cooked and there wasn't a lot of grease, plus the sauce was thick and creamy!! I'd come back here if the prices were a little better - although I didn't shout the bill, I did notice that we paid over $150 for the meal (this was for 3 people!). But I'd come back when I get my next paycheck ;).

This place had the worst tent outside and was seating people in 10 degree temperature - they said they had no inside seating but as people came in after us they sat people inside - they ate racist towards black people!
