"There are restaurant institutions and then there’s Nikki’s Place. The Parramore stalwart has been plating meat-and-threes through 75-plus years of systematic segregation and residential displacement, always with class and dignity. Fronted by 81-year-old Nick Aiken, his wife Inez, and daughter Nikki, the restaurant has established itself as a gathering ground for the community. It has hosted a who’s-who of African American icons, politicians, and civil rights leaders since 1949. That Aiken’s brand of soul food is incomparable cements Nikki’s as the go-to place for Southern fare, be it smothered anything (oxtails, pigtails) to fried chicken to meatloaf. Best of all, meals can be made from stellar sides alone." - Faiyaz Kara

I had lemon FRIED CHICKEN this Chicken is so Delicious. My Niece Rosie Scott brought me here , Now whenever I go to visit Orlando Nikki's is the First place I want to go. I have never tasted Lemon Pepper chicken Juicy and crunchy like this and the flavor of the lemon pepper just dances in your mouth into your tummy, the black eye peas , Candy Yams were also delish. The corn bread is awesome. My cousin had the Ox Tails with collard greens, and Mac Cheese. I recommend this place a THOUSAND TIMES OVER. You won't be disappointed, I promise.

I had a bad experience my eggs was watery , the biscuit crumbles soon as i touch it , my corn beef ash smell weid and taste weid. Double check your food...People i call them instead of understanding my concern she told me she knows what she serve me she really dont care to see it ,after i offer to bring the food back she say nothing else she can help me with because she knows what she serve me with a atitude.

The definition of exemplary, Customer Service and southern hospitality. Nikki and the entire staff were so welcoming and pleasant. We dined in the day we arrived in Orlando, and could not stop talking about the food so we came back two days later. The best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had in life. (you better get double grits or you’ll regret it !) The omelettes were great portion size, and the fried potatoes were well seasoned and crisp. A must visit restaurant every time I’m in Orlando.

I cant believe this place is in business. worst food ive had in my life and ive tried everything from chitterlings to Eel. I had the Fried Pork Chops - Two Center-Cut Chops with mash potatoes. even the mashed potatoes were gross. How can you make nasty potatoes all u do is add salt pepper butter and milk. The greens tasted like they had sugar in them. The pork chops were paper thin and as soon as i bit one i knew they were cooked in the same grease as fish. look at the cornmeal on my pork chop. Even the Lemonade (20 Oz) was bland. Smh. You couldn't pay me to eat here again!

Absolutely fantastic soul food place. We have had them for breakfast and dinner. Scrambled eggs delicious and grits cooked to perfection. My son favorite for breakfast is the grilled fish and the pork chops. Only thing I’ve tried I didn’t like was the salmon patties… had a salted and kind of pickled taste that was weird to me. I absolutely love the liver and onions cooked to perfection. The baked chicken was ok but the beef stew was fantastic. Oxtails we’re pretty good but you don’t get a lot. Pigs feet good too. You really can’t go wrong. Their side dishes are amazing!!! The potato salad, collard greens and yams are my favorites. But we loved the black eye peas, Lima beans and okra as well. We definitely will continue to order from this soul food gem! Food taste like my grandma work there. Love it!

I was so hungry for authentic soul food. The liver and onions did not disappoint. Seasoned to perfection. The greens were okay. I like sweet, sour, spicy, and smoked greens. These were good for the masses. The tea/lemonade was fresh and sweet. It's almost too sweet, but not quite. But the best part of Nikkis was the service. 10 ❤️'s. Kay was a mess! Hey, girl, hey! If you find yourself in Orlando with a taste for soul food, give em a try. Y'all, they had chittlins and hogmaws on the menu. That's real, fam!

Nikki’s Place is by far the place to go to for that “stick to your ribs” kind of comfort food. I visited the day before Thanksgiving, and even though they were busy with catered items, the staff still took the time to take to-go orders. The customer service was impeccable!! Ms Nekomie was so patient when placing my order because I had pre-ordered items but found out that they stopped taking pre-orders on a certain date. The vibe of the place just made me feel like I was at a family members home, and catching up with everyone. If you’re in Orlando looking for some really good food, don’t miss out on this hidden “gem”! Keep up the great job Ladies. I salute you!!
