The food and meat quality was very good, I like how the meat portions weren’t too much so I was able to try a lot of different items on their menu. The atmosphere was very nice and our waitress Winnie gave us amazing suggestions! Very good service.

The dining experience this time was great. The meats were all very fresh, and the grill was automatically replaced by the staff from time to time. The service was excellent — all the staff were very friendly, and the junior manager also came by occasionally to ask for my feedback. He even gave me tips on how to grill the food properly. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience.

This is our second visit here. Our second visit here, our server Angel was amazing! She was very attentive, changing the grill so its not burning, helped us cook even though its yakiniku style. The beer draft had a problem, but after it was fixed, still ask if we still wanted. Made sure the drinks were never empty. As someone who works in the industry as well, was very impressed with her. Made the whole dining for me and the family very enjoyable. Great food and great service!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the most distinctive Japanese BBQ spots in Flushing. The atmosphere shows a deep understanding of traditional Japanese design — elegant, calm, and refined. From the warm welcome at the entrance to the attentive service throughout the meal, the experience stands out compared to many similar restaurants. The beef quality is exceptional. You can tell just by the marbling — rich, high-grade cuts that are handled with care. I don’t eat other types of meat, so I can’t comment on those, but the beef alone is worth the visit. One unique highlight was the beef served in a jar — creative and delicious. Another pleasant surprise was the dessert at the end, which added a thoughtful touch to the whole experience. What amazed me most: no lingering BBQ smell on clothes afterward. Just a delicate, savory aroma that made the meal feel even more refined. Highly recommend for beef lovers — I’ll definitely be coming back.

This place is still in its soft opening phase, but I already highly recommend it especially for meat lovers! Every cut of meat we tried was top quality. The atmosphere was great, and surprisingly, there was no smoky smell at all, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The service was also excellent. Our server today was Vin, and he had such amazing energy it really added to the whole experience for us.

Had an amazing dining experience at Nikushou Sakai BBQ! Since it opened, I’ve already been here almost seven or eight times, every single time has been absolutely satisfying! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in. My favorite server is Winnie. She’s especially patient and knows my preferences, which makes ordering so easy for me. Other servers are all attentive. The service was top-notch throughout our meal. All the meats were fresh and flavorful, and the signature dry-aged beef was absolutely delicious — a must-try! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for high-quality Japanese BBQ with excellent service.10/10 recommendations!

Bf and I went here for date night :) it was a lovely experience and we left feeling full but not bloated (iykyk). The ambiance was fantastic, romantic even - some booths are elevated while others are not giving the restaurant more depth and interest. The bathrooms were so cool, they had a sign that would flicker on/off so you could see whether it was occupied or not. The food: portions are small so we were able to try everything on the menu! They have a good sized menu, so there’s something for everyone. We looved the garlic meat bc it was suuper flavorful and garlick-y. They also have a lot of tin cooked items such as salmon, cheese/butter corn, and sake steamed clams (all good options!). The meat was great - they have pork jowl (my fav) and beef/lamb/pork. The drinks that come w the ayce were HUGE. I was so surprised. For dessert, they only had mochi ice cream which was the perfect palate finisher at the end of the meal. The service is good. They told us it was 90 mins for ayce but then on the tablet, it showed 70 mins max, so I may have heard the waitress incorrectly(??) anyways, there is a timer on the tablet to tell you how much time you have left :0 it helped us pace ourselves well! I’d come back here for sure although maybe not on a weekend (fri-sun) because their prices are higher. We came on a Saturday night around 5PM and there was a waitlist of 3 parties ahead of us. Waited probably 15-20 mins? It wasn’t a bad wait at all. With tip, it came out to $75 pp. Overall, a solid 8/10!
