Bf and I went here for date night :) it was a lovely experience and we left feeling full but not bloated (iykyk). The ambiance was fantastic, romantic even - some booths are elevated while others are not giving the restaurant more depth and interest. The bathrooms were so cool, they had a sign that would flicker on/off so you could see whether it was occupied or not.
The food: portions are small so we were able to try everything on the menu! They have a good sized menu, so there’s something for everyone. We looved the garlic meat bc it was suuper flavorful and garlick-y. They also have a lot of tin cooked items such as salmon, cheese/butter corn, and sake steamed clams (all good options!). The meat was great - they have pork jowl (my fav) and beef/lamb/pork. The drinks that come w the ayce were HUGE. I was so surprised. For dessert, they only had mochi ice cream which was the perfect palate finisher at the end of the meal.
The service is good. They told us it was 90 mins for ayce but then on the tablet, it showed 70 mins max, so I may have heard the waitress incorrectly(??) anyways, there is a timer on the tablet to tell you how much time you have left :0 it helped us pace ourselves well!
I’d come back here for sure although maybe not on a weekend (fri-sun) because their prices are higher. We came on a Saturday night around 5PM and there was a waitlist of 3 parties ahead of us. Waited probably 15-20 mins? It wasn’t a bad wait at all. With tip, it came out to $75 pp.
Overall, a solid 8/10!
