Such a nice venue!! Didn’t buy anything from the coffee shop but it was super cute and the pastries looked delicious! Staff and security were so nice! As far as air conditioning, my daughter and I were upfront and center for one of the shows we went to, and were directly underneath the air vent so we were pretty cold the whole night. Venue definitely needs central air if they don’t already have it. Would definitely see more concerts here!

The Nile Theater is an incredible place! I had the chance to see Bayside with the Smoking Popes, and it was an amazing experience. The Nile is the perfect size for any concert of your favorite band. The staff and security are super cool and friendly, and everyone was really helpful. There wasn’t a bad place to stand or sit during the show, every seat was front row. I also appreciate the signage that encourages kids under 12 to wear ear protection for shows. There’s a lot to do around the Nile before your show starts, so you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to check out the Nile Theater again whenever I need to see a show. It’s a great place to go! And what’s more punk rock than leaving a 5-star review?

Google
The venue all together was great, nice energy great staff, the only unfortunate thing was it felt like they had no air conditioning going and the large fans were off making it a hot sticky mess during the concert. One individual even fainted due to the heat. You would think that would have been motivation to turn the fans on or something. Even every band mentioned something about the heat when they stepped on stage. I really felt bad for the drummers, they were drenched in their own sweat.

Google
Love The Nile! This is a nice venue, not too small when you actually go in, even though from the outside that it looks like it. Been here a few times already. The staff is very nice and this venue has really good air ventilation so it’s not too stuffy or hot in there. They provide a selection of beverages. Parking is not too problematic to find, I like the walkable parking lots right outside of the venue where you can park there for up to 3 hours.

Google
I've been here several times for concerts & this place is amazing. Security is always on top of things & it makes me feel safe to come here. I always come with a group of friends, but I would say this venue is good enough to come alone even. I like that everything here is affordable. Coming here and listening to 3 bands across 5+ hours is somehow cheaper than a trip to the movies for 1.5 hours and it's a much more memorable experience.

Google
Thursday my wife and I went to This Wild Life's VIP & 10-year anniversary tour for Clouded. It surpassed all expectations! The opening acts, Young Culture and Belmont, delivered electrifying performances, and visiting the Nile Theatre was a truly unforgettable experience.

Google
Love this place. Perfect small venue for intimate shows. They have beer, wine, soda, and water, but no full bar. It's not even missed, and the sound quality it great. Also, bring a sweater, even in the middle of the summer it gets cold in there!

Google
I don't really have anything to say other than it's a very good place to go to a concert. I haven't been to the underground nor have I been to the coffee shop so I can only talk about the main theater. I was here to see Calabrese with Zombeast and once before to see DRI and Scattered Guts. It's a solid venue. I will be glad to attend more shows here.

Yelp
This was an amazing place, I went here for a deebaby show, on June 10th, there was plenty of room for standing, staff was amazing and helpful, totally recommend this place.

Yelp
I was here for the K Camp concert yesterday and this was my first time at the Nile Theater, they have a coffee shop inside then in the back is where the theater is. This is a smaller venue, and sadly to say we experienced so many technical difficulties during the performance. The lights, music, mic kept shutting off so many times mid performance. The artists were getting upset. They also need to add more fans in here or a better AC flow going. It was super hot inside they ended up passing around water bottles for us which was nice. The coffee shop was cute, I did not try anything but it did look good. The staff were being very friendly and accommodating. I personally just don't think I'll come back to the Nile theater for a concert, or I might just to give it another shot and see if same experience, we shall see!

Yelp
I came to the Nile Theater for a concert and the power kept going out. Although the artist tried multiple times to keep going and still give a decent show, the building lacked the proper equipment to ensure this did not happen. I'm not sure if two shows were going on at the same time because we could hear and feel music from below. Very disappointed!

Precious J.

Yelp
Staff were nice. Standing outside in line for an hour and then another hour inside waiting for performance that was supposed to start at 8pm. Artist was not able to preform, mic and stage kept shutting off. Waste of money on the concert. Wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Smaller sized venue, but the perfect setting for a metal show. My friend and I throughly enjoyed seeing one of my favorite bands Dark Divine. The security was friendly and kept the mosh pit safe - thank you!!! Even the staff at the bar and merchandise tables were super friendly as well. Drinks weren't terribly priced for a venue, so this is one of my better experiences seeing a show recently. Definitely book another show here as tickets were reasonable and we enjoyed ourselves.

Yelp
Second time checking out the Nile Theater this past weekend to hear The Mezingers, Microwave, Rodeo Boys and Cloud Nothings. The first visit, was not the most amazing, as the roof was leaking and the show ran immensely behind, but not sure who that reflects, so happy to visit again. This second visit was much more enjoyable! Some general deets, the Nile Theatre is located on the backside of their coffee shop in the alley. They have a lot connected that's great for parking, if you are able to find a spot, as they share it with some of their Mesa DT staples. This is an all ages venue, so they do not permit vapes and such, but does have alcoholic beverages available on site. They enforce a small bag check as well. It's a breeze getting through security, I am sure that part of that contributes to it being a smaller venue and we also got their at the beginning of the show. They then check your tickets the moment you enter the venue. It's very casual setup, The restrooms are also located right by the entrance, and honestly one of the only unideal aspects about the venue. I cannot speak for the mens, but sure it sports something similar, the women's has three or four stalls, one which does not feature a door, but a curtain. It's quite tiny and its location is not the most convenient. Once through the general area, you can find merch to the left and concessions on the right. Being a smaller venue, its not hard to get through the lines. They have some BEAST fans keeping movement in the air and on a chilly winter night, it's actually pretty brisk and not as warm as I would have expected with such a large amount of people. It's all standing, sound was good, merch and drinks were affordable (as well as our tickets), show was on time and overall, it was an enjoyable experience and love not having to fight massive crowds and lines.

Yelp
Security was great and helpful, the drinks were reasonably priced, and the sound production was amazing!

Yelp
This venue was actually pretty cool. They have a cute little coffee, espresso, dessert bar when you first walk in. Just keep in mind if you are attending a concert here it's standing room only. They do have a few benches along one side of the wall. The space is quaint and for a small venue actually has good sound. I would give the restrooms three stars, but I'm not reviewing the restrooms, did I say that out loud.
google avatar

Taylor W.

Yelp
I've visited the coffee shop before and have wanted to visit the theater for a while! Finally came here with some friends to see Little Stranger and I really liked this venue. The sound was amazing and it being a smaller venue made it feel like a more intimate experience. They did serve beer & seltzers inside. Drinks were a little over priced (~$15 for a large seltzer) but that is to be expected at any venue. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I have been going to The Nile since high school around 2010. Almost all of my favorite shows have been at this venue. They have an underground, a main floor, and a coffee shop. They always have very welcoming staff and treat the bands kindly too. I love that this venue has reentry and parking in the area is accessible and easy. The only thing I'm iffy about is they're crowd surfing policy. I got kicked out once for crowdsurfing with no warning when I have been doing it for over a decade. I guess the policy changes based on what the band wants (even if they tell you to crowdsurf ).

Yelp
Listen. The Broken View has a great sound but the acoustics here were bad. Couldn't understand anything they were singing. Also, I could not stay through the THREE opening bands of a totally different genre (metal) to hang for the headliner show at 9:40 pm on a weeknight. We left, went to another venue and returned to see The Broken View. Not many folks stuck around for this show. BV...check out the Rhythm Room in central phoenix.

Yelp
I went to go see necrot june 9, this was my first time at the nile. I loved it. Everyone says its super hot in the underground but there was fans blasting and cold drinks. Everyone was super nice and having a blast, i will definitely be back here soon

Yelp
I came here for the first time for BTS Nite, which was a space for dancing along to BTS music, buying items from local kpop vendors, and just having a good time with many kpop fans for the night. The event was fun and i definitely felt like there was plenty of space to accommodate all of us. I do wish there was better air ventilation: there were fans spread throughout the venue but for some reason they weren't turned on. I'd recommend coming here when it isn't so hot out, or mentally and physically preparing yourself for the heat. One of my other qualms was with the bag policy, which only allowed for fully clear bags or bags "the size of an envelope". The website or staff did not specify the size of the envelope to reference, so I ended up just not taking a bag. They do sell alcoholic drinks inside but I didn't buy any so I'm not sure of the prices. I did buy bottled water, which were $3 each and unfortunately they weren't even cold. I like that you can get here very easily by the metro rail if you wanna take public transport; the stop is only a few minutes away by walking.

Yelp
This was my first visit to the Nile Theater, and it did not disappoint! My boys and I came to see Flotsam and Jetsam last night and arrived early enough to catch all the shows on tap for the evening. I love that this is historic location, it has so much character inside and out. The facility was clean, and thankfully it is well air conditioned as well. It only got a little warm towards the last band, but that is expected as so many more people were in attendance. The staff are all professional and polite and the bathrooms were in working order. The acoustics were incredible, and we had great views wherever we were in the room. I appreciated that they brought up the house lights between bands, that made it easier to make a trip to the bar or bathroom. The crowd were all very well behaved and it looked like everyone was having a great time. Flotsam kicked butt and rocked the house! This is definitely my favorite venue to see them in, it was awesome to be up front at the stage and witness the magic so close. There is also an area on the east side of the room that has a space to sit if you are so inclined, that was a real treat in and of itself. I am looking forward to seeing other shows here in the future, my boys and I had a great time!

Charli A.

Yelp
Been going to shows here for 10 years, it's never been bad, but the last couple years this venue has really stepped it up. I think that's a product of hiring the right people and making sure their employees are happy. The people behind the bar, the indoor security, and the outdoor security have all been absolutely amazing and happy to be there. At the most recent show I went to, security went above and beyond to ensure crowd surfers and those in the pit were safe. They were so kind and respectful it really helped keep the vibes of the show so amazing. Happy to have this place in the community.

Yelp
I have a mix of strange feelings about the Nile and the shows that are thrown there. On one hand, the smaller artists I follow usually throw shows here and they're typically decently enjoyable- although there have been issues. One time the speakers got blown out and we all had to move downstairs. The security at the Nile is absolutely rude and accused me of smoking when it was the people next to me in the crowd and refused to believe me, and told me they would throw me out if I didn't comply and give them what I was using- which was, literally, nothing. Disappointing experience, would recommend training your security guards to not be dickheads

Aeriel M.

Yelp
A great spot to view a wide variety of shows across all genres, from small intimate shows in the coffee shop to large shows in the theater. Lot of care and detail put into renovations like the new marquee recently, and it really shows. Staff always seems friendly and helpful, and some of my favorite shows have been here.
google avatar

Ali B.

Yelp
Have been to the coffee shop here, but never the venue. It was hard to find the entrance to the theater, but eventually we found it. This is a fun little basement theater, I like the art on the walls. There was almost no one at the event we went to, so I'm not sure how crowded it gets or what it's like when it's busy. Cool place!

Yelp
My daughter and some of her friends and parents attended the Epic production of "Dragula" at the Nile Theater a 1920 movie theater converted to a music venue with local bands and headliners. Dragula the fabulous production of the Boulet Brothers features amazing costumes featuring morbid themes brought to Phoenix in all it's splendor. Enjoy the pictures of the costumes.

Yelp
I went here with my fiancée to see Dance with the Dead last night. Our show was at the 1st floor stage. The A/C was definitely working. For a live music venue, it was just what I expected and I don't mean that in a negative way. Neither of us felt unsafe or uncomfortable and the woman serving drinks was very nice. The line to get in was pretty long and that sucked, so get there about an hour prior to your show if it's a pretty well-known band with a following. All and all we had a lot of fun!
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
Security here is on a power trip. There is a short, round woman here who has been mentioned in several different reviews who accuses people of being drunk and kicking them out. She needs to be fired. She kicked me out after I asked her what the bag policy is. FOR asking what the policy is! I had a small black clutch I have taken to every other venue in the valley. Nile theatre is the ONLY theatre with a clear bag policy. No warnings, no signs like at other theatres with the policy too. Ruined my experience and a waste of money.

Eddie R.

Yelp
Nile theater is literally just a big square building with a stage they do not give you refunds nor do they mention to bring ID to get into the event on there website and they boldly false accuse my friend of smoking and was forcing her to leave but changed his mind after not being able to judge nor control the situation the drive and location is not worth it

Yelp
**DONT GO TO NILE UNDERGROUND SHOWS** Should be a crime this place is allowed to have shows in the basement when we're hitting near triple digits in az. Like the other poor reviews mentioned this place is a disaster waiting to happen. The Underground shows aesthetically might seem cool but as a concert goer once you feel when there's one too many people (which happens pretty quickly especially for sold out shows) you wanna gtfo of there as fast as you can to get some air. The air in there quickly turns hot and musty and stinky with zero ventilation or any type of air conditioning. There's fans around but they feel scarce and not practical in this type of venue (literally a basement). Also if you're short this venue blows- even if you show up early and get a good spot, you'll be put thru the GAUNTLET having to sit thru however many openers in the conditions stated above. It gets so bad that I swear to god I've seen people outside DURING the set everyone came to see (ie it wasn't worth watching your favorite band because it was either impossible to see or too hot). Also yeah, as others have mentioned their drink options are awful. Hope ya like warm NESTLE WATER!! YEESH!! DONT HOLD SHOWS DOWNSTAIRS ANYMORE YA DOLTS
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
I've been going here for years, and I love every minute of it. Yeah, the AC sometimes is bad, but you're here for a good time, so who cares if you sweat. If you're paying $2 for a water bottle and complain that it's not cold, that's on you. Instead, ask for a Liquid Death. It's water from the Austrian Alps, and you'll get cold water in a can, for $2 more. The staff here are great, and the arizona music scene is alive and well here. Give The Nile a shot!
google avatar

Crystal N.

Yelp
Decent sound, BUT...main room is ridiculously unorganized...poorly setup from the moment you walk in. Came to see an awesome band, was able to get pretty close to the stage and whomever is running the lights or programmed them needs to QUIT blaring them in the audiences eyes every few seconds. Thank goodness I don't have epilepsy, but this ruined my entire experience and made the $29.00 I spent on this show completely worthless, especially driving all the way from N Phoenix super excited for the show...please GAWD learn how to do lights without blinding the audience like an amateur, get some coordination with all the weird lines, standing room only, gets super hot inside mayhem. Bigger bands, make sure to have your tour manager skip this place for booking

Yelp
I am not one to leave poor reviews for music venues, especially after what most have endured getting back on their feet after the pandemic. However, this venue is extremely PROBLEMATIC and it is important to me that people know what they are getting themselves into when they are going to a show here. They do not have adequate cooling whatsoever, no easy access to water and there is nowhere to sit in the venue if you end up getting lightheaded. People were passing out, experiencing heat exhaustion, and attempting to escape the overcrowded venue to the outside AZ heat. That alone should tell you something. People who fainted were being treated as if they were intoxicated. They were yelled at to leave the venue by the rudest door person named Mary B. who was having a power trip and acting like she owned the place. It's clear she hates her job but the lack of empathy and care for the people who experience heat stroke or any other medical emergencies at this venue is disturbing. I have been to countless shows at other venues all over the US in the hottest part of summer but have never found myself in such dangerous conditions before. I can only imagine how many people have had heat strokes or have found themselves in other terrible situations just from trying to enjoy a show there. How they are allowed to operate like this is completely beyond me! To sum it up the people working at the venue are extremely unprofessional, the events are poorly planned, it is dangerously hot inside, the line takes forever to get in, and frankly the sound is not great. Your favorite band may be playing here but I promise you it is not worth the headache (which you will most certainly have once you leave here). Nile Theater...DO BETTER!

Yelp
Loved this venue! We came here last week for a concert, and absolutely had a blast. The staff for the most part was pretty friendly, the security guard when letting everyone in seemed to know everyone there which was cool to see. Loved the idea of the venue having a top and bottom venue. The bar was tucked in the corner of the room which I wish it was bigger cause there was one person working and a huge line during the entire time during our concert. I enjoyed the show nonetheless, would most likely come back if there was a show that we were interested in. It'd be cool to see this place during the day as well.

Yelp
Went to see The Wrecks, and it was by far my worst experience at a venue. I've been to plenty of venues in the Phoenix area to confidently say this place is DANGEROUS. No water was provided to the hundreds of people standing in a line wrapped around the building in 105°+ weather... instead we had voter registration and radio station booths around the line. It was a brutal 20/30min (some people stood there for at least an hour). There was no AC in the 800 person venue in 100°+ weather. The swamp cooler system didn't kick on apparently because the humidity was above 50%... our only hope was in 4 small ceiling fans that did next to nothing. You couldn't even find relief in a cold bottle of water considering they only sold lukewarm bottled water. We immediately began to sweat after 5min in the venue. Half way through the first opener our skin was beyond sticky and by the beginning of the second opener, our clothes were completely damp... and we were in the back near the entrance. Two songs into the second opener I was getting black spots in my vision, light headedness and extreme nausea from being overheated. Luckily I am 22 (they were only allowing people with a 21+ wristband to leave and re-enter) so I got to go sit outside in the 101° alley for relief. Within 5min of being out in the alley, a girl was carried out from heat exhaustion with bags of ice and cold water... THIS IS ALL AN HOUR BEFORE THE HEADLINER EVEN CAME ON!!! The heat was so bad that 3/5 of us decided to Uber back home 40min before the headliner even came on. Those who stayed behind said it only continued to get hotter. They said the headliner stopped the show 3 times to make sure the crowd was okay, sending bottles of water and bags of ice into the crowd. By the time they got home, they said it felt like they jumped in a pool they were so soaked in sweat. Bottom line, this place is dangerous to go in the summer, and chances are you won't make it to the headliner without almost passing out of heat exhaustion. Will not be returning ever.

Yelp
Neat venue, gives you a personal experience! Overall enjoyed the service, location and drinks were good. The bathroom could use some updatint

Yelp
A solid venue, and probably the best in Mesa. Acoustics are good and there seems to be enough staff. Security is easy to get through- they didn't even check my mini backpack. The line wasn't very long. If you're under 21, you can't leave and return, so know before you go. Four stars are due to the bathroom condition and the lack of food options for those under 21. It wasn't too smoky, which I appreciate. Plenty of space for merch. I enjoyed meeting the band I came to see right outside the theater! It's well set up for intimacy, especially downstairs. Great music in between sets- in both choice and volume.

Yelp
Where do I start? I've been going to this place since the 90's, and wasn't a fan even then, but lately it's become this place where they treat you like you've done something wrong just for showing up. It's dehumanizing walking up and having people start shouting demands of you and going through your stuff. They make you bring a clear bag like it's a visit to someone in prison. They seem to be all hopped up on power over there like it makes them all puffed up to bully people who are just there to see a band or whatever. It's Mesa, people need to calm down. This ain't some trendy exclusive Hollywood venue, it's MESA! I had to miss my own friends play there, the Chats because I didn't want to get yelled at for being on the guest list, or worse have them deny me just for the hell of it. One time a friend was playing there and went to buy a beer to have with him on stage, and they denied it to him because he wasn't finished with the other one. Total control freaks, man! Like get over yourselves! You're in a suburb trying to remain relevant. I'll probably get yelled at by the overlords who work there just for writing this; but fuck that place.

Yelp
Way over capacity, unsafe levels of bodies and heat, there were small kids in the audience to. I tried my best to ride it out and get to the band I came for but I felt more and more like I could not breathe and then you have people stepping on you, nearly knocking you over. Some chick vomited all over the floor and on the women next to me. I get it it's a business it's all about making money but not at the expense of any one's safety. Not coming here again.

David B.

Yelp
Cool little theater. Sounds great! My only complaint is when shows sellout. It's way too packed. Can hardly move. It takes a good 20 minutes to get to the bar and/or bathroom. Really doesn't seem safe if there were a emergency. Also the door kid made me throw my lighter away. I've been to hundreds of shows and not once had to do that. I'm I really going to light a brick building down with a little bic lighter?‍
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Not like the poor reviews. I was worried and arrived late. The security were kind and actually did not prevent a few people from walking in without totally hearing them out (when not crowded). It was cool and easy to walk to the front or sides if you wanted to meet the band. There was a place to meet the opening act in the main room after the show. The bathrooms were large and uncrowded.

Andrew K.

Yelp
Beware, for there is a short and rotund female security guard wearing glasses on a power trip who may decide to ruin your night and deny you entry on a whim. From now on I will refer to said rotund lady guard as "short stuff". It's a shame that such individuals are given fake authority, and unfortunately I know from experience that it is nearly impossible to get rid of such an incompetent employee. My wife was falsely and lazily accused of being intoxicated by short stuff while we were going through the security check outside because apparently my wife took five seconds too long to retrieve her ID from her purse. As a result we were denied entry. The decision was so swift and thoughtless my wife and I were taken aback by the accusation. Due to the bizarre nature of what just happened, we decided to get back in line just to see what would happen. About three minutes later we encountered short stuff once again, who failed to recognize the people she just turned away, and we made it inside the venue. Who is the intoxicated one here again? This just proves that paying guests are turned away on a whim without much thought. A different security guy did catch on to us very soon after entering and realized we slipped by after being previously turned away, so we were then escorted out of the venue. We tried to plead our case but unfortunately short stuff is too powerful and had the final say. Let me summarize the story once more. My wife and I are a couple approaching our 40's, we caused no trouble whatsoever, yet we were kicked out by a power hungry teletubby named short stuff. I have been to well over 100+ shows at the Nile theater since 2012 and I never had this kind of experience with security before. I have certainly seen some questionable behavior by security staff over the years but I never had a negative personal encounter myself until recently. Staff seems to change often so hopefully there is a brighter future. This experience makes me want to avoid Nile Theater as much as possible, but unfortunately almost all of the metal bands I listen to seem to perform there. I already refunded tickets for two shows I feel like I do not absolutely need to see. My advice for concert goers at this time is to keep your head down in line and avoid communicating with security if you can to avoid being accused of being intoxicated and turned away. Do not show any emotion or excitement in line or you may be accused of being intoxicated and turned away. Only use basic responses such as "yes sir/maam, no sir/maam, ok sir/maam". For the love of god have your ID ready at the security check or you may be accused of being intoxicated and turned away. Think twice about having a drink before the show because god forbid you appear to be relaxed. Do not tell short stuff that alcohol is served inside the venue or everyone will get kicked out including the bar tenders. And most importantly my friends, don't let short stuff bring you down. If you're accused of being intoxicated and kick out, you may as well journey over to one of the many magnificent local bars to give those accusations some legitimacy.

Yelp
They appear to bring a good variety of bands in and the staff seemed friendly enough, but poor sound makes this a so-so venue. Just a large rectangular room, reminiscent of a high school gymnasium and all the acoustics to match. This is a venue you go to because you want to see the band, not to find a new band you might like, whatever they sound like here is not what they sound like in an actual music venue.
google avatar

Seth N.

Yelp
Caught fit for a king here last night and really loved it. Can't comment on the heat that others do as it was cold outside. Acoustics were great and you get a great view no matter where you're at. Employees were very friendly and parking is way easy here. Enjoyed myself.

Yelp
Went to a show just recently and it started off great, got there early enough to make sure I was going to be able to get comfortable because I'm in a wheelchair but need to consistently take stand breaks and breaks to sit unfortunately. Well that did not last.. ADA got infested by inconsiderate individuals who invaded the ADA area making the show less enjoyable, may I add I bought presale tickets to this show and am a huge fan of the artist. Staff was pretty nice and I'm sure they would of done something if I had complained but the place was already packed and me trying to look for someone to complain to in a wheelchair would of probably been impossible. I ended up leaving early which I never do ever because I became very uncomfortable. Luckily, the artist was live streaming and I caught the end of the show on Instagram live in bed. I've been going to these shows for over a decade and now I am unfortunately ADA, wished ppl would be more considerate of their surroundings and the disabled. We love live music just S much as you but unlike y'all we aren't capable of standing for long periods that's why ADA sections exist.

Yelp
I'm going to be VERY blunt, here. This place is dangerous. Full stop. I've been to shows here three times, but last night (5/12/2023) was one of the worst experiences I've EVER had at a concert. Even at 6:00pm (when did the doors actually open if there were that many people already inside??), it seemed ridiculously overcrowded, and just continued to get worse by the minute. You'll never, ever convince me that this show wasn't WILDLY oversold. The first band played, and by the time they went offstage, I was DONE. I left. It was absolutely packed, to the point where I felt so unsafe and hot and crowded in, it was giving me anxiety. Everyone just seemed so unhappy? The vibe in the air felt straight up hostile. I've been going to metal shows for well over 20 years, I'm not a kid, I know how things go. This venue is a terrible accident waiting to happen (for example, a massive crowd crush wouldn't surprise me in the least). It is NOT. SAFE. The staff working the door were incredibly rude and unpleasant, and apparently DID NOT want people going outside to get some air or have a smoke or anything at all. Speaking of, what exactly was with the lighter situation? That gigantic pile of lighters on the table out front that the staff demanded everyone give up? What exactly did you think you were going to do with those, just take them and sell them inside for 5 bucks a pop? When I left I retrieved mine from the table (easy to spot, it was super brightly colored/patterned) and bluntly told the guy standing there that it was MINE, I paid for it, I came with it, and I was leaving with it. I don't think he was happy (understatement), but I really don't care. What are you going to do? Call the cops on me for retrieving an item that was already mine? You might be able to demand my things from me because I genuinely did want to go inside and see the show, but you can't tell me I can't take them with me when I Ieave. To be honest, it might have actually been NICE had the cops shown up. All it would have taken was for them to just stand in the doorway to see how dangerously, horribly overcrowded it actually was in there. The $3 water here is NOT cold. They're just going to hand you a room temperature bottle of cheap Wal-mart water, and well, I guess you're lucky to get it. There is no place to sit, no place to catch your breath, especially since I suppose you're just really not allowed to go outside anymore without the staff getting hostile about it. There is NO PATIO of any kind. I will never, EVER go back to this venue. Avoid this place. (I'm not at all "sorry" for this review, or how blunt I'm being. I am, quite simply, just telling the truth.)

Yelp
Over the years I have seen a lot of bands preform here, as of late, this venue has gone DOWNHILL. I keep buying tickets trying to give the venue another chance and they continually disappoint me. The staff and management are the WORST. They treat their patrons very poorly. Somehow every employee is on a major power trip and think that they own the place. Lately, I have not been to a show where their staff hasn't been rude to me or someone in my group. And despite them replacing the cooling system during the pandemic, every show I have attended is ridiculously hot and not ventilated. Stop attending shows here and stop booking the Nile.

Yelp
An awesome repurposing of an old building. Only downsides is that it is super hot in there and with general admission it is hard to see the stage action unless you are really tall or right up front.

Yelp
Legitimately ruined our experience. The security guard at the front door totally ruined our experience. The shorter gal with glasses was clearly on a power trip and wouldn't let my girlfriend in over a little joke about "being tipsy" because she was having trouble pulling her ID out of her wallet. The said security guard proceeded to disrespect my girlfriend, and her friend. Her co-companion raised his voice multiple times at my girlfriend and her friend, rolling his eyes at them, and insinuating they were stupid. My girlfriend bought the concert tickets for us as a birthday present, and didn't want me to miss the concert. Me and a friend of mine went in, and watched the security guard barge her way through the crowd to get pictures of the bands. I will never give my money to this theatre ever again, unless they address the issue of security disrespecting guests. The band we went to see was a band the both of us love. I had to console my sobbing girlfriend in the parking lot because of a power thirsty, rude (you know what word comes next).

Yelp
I am currently trying to listen to the band Oly and Kings Kaleidoscope and the noise from the band on the lower stage is disrupting the experience! Poor planning! Also, your air conditioning isn't working in the middle of the summer

Yelp
Cool venue, nice acoustics, and a bunch of fans and ac so you're not hot. I loved the venue, however security was trash. My brother had a pack of cigarettes they made him put back in the car then when we returned he had forgotten about his lighter in his pocket and they made him throw it away even though he had nothing to smoke. Also they were wondering through the crowd and just shoving people. They got super close to the pit and did nothing to control it besides get in the way. I watched one security guard standing in a terrible spot get a kid slammed in to them which made them both fall and securities reaction was to stand up and throw the kid back in to the pit instead of checking on them. Besides security I loved it. By the way, this was at the Lil Tracy concert from last month.

Yelp
I'm currently here now. Yes, it is hot as hades but it's tolerable. I see all these reviews and I was discouraged to come but it's all about perception. The venue is small so it feels like everyone is close to the stage, which makes for a great show. The floor doesn't feel uneven like the reviews say. They have no hard liquor but some beer and spritz. I did see someone get carried out but was it heat exhaustion, I don't know I'm not a doctor. Please wear deodorant, if you come here for the sake of everybody else please wear deodorant! If I was in my early twenties it would be prefect or if it was winter lol

Yelp
First time here to see Between The Buried And Me. Never coming back. No AC, $3 bottled water was not cold. Cold drinks available dehydrate. Stay away. Bands need to stop booking here. Major health hazard.

Yelp
Very huge space with a great stage setup! Bar is easily accessible. If going for a big show it can get crowded but excellent service from the team at The Nile.

Yelp
Forcing people to vaccinate or test prior to entry is wrong! People who are vaccinated can still spread Covid to the unvaccinated! The unvaccinated are been treated as second class citizens. The Nile blocked me on their Instagram because they didn't want to hear a former patrons friendly perspective of the situation. I've been coming to the Nile for over a decade for shows. If I don't want to vaccinate then that's my choice and I KNOW my risk upon entering, just as everyone else does. And my negative Covid test wouldn't protect me from a vaccinated person spreading Covid anyhow. I would encourage patrons and artists to use another venue! Stand up for medical freedom! Here is the post of the Instagram conversation we had before they blocked me...

Yelp
Nile Theater is in our neighborhood and we come here a lot. We love the variety of acts. But what's up with the ac? We're here now for a burlesque show and it's 115° out and they don't even have the fans on. We're standing around not even moving and are sweating our asses off. Ugh...gonna be a long, hot, night.
