A nice small farmers market in a the Niles area of Fremont. The offering were limited but nice. The district of Niles was a nice with the market as a highlight. It was nice to see the old old railroad locomotive operating in the background and the older vehicles on display. Parking in the area might be limited on the weekends.

Fresh fruit and vegetables. Nice band playing. We tried the mushroom jerky from one of the stall. The jerky has smooth texture, very flavorful, and not salty. The Niles Depot Museum open free admission. Good day to spend Saturday morning.

Perfect little farmers market! One of everything, lots of variety! Hot prepare food if you want breakfast or lunch, fresh veggies, meat and fresh fish to make your own culinary creations at home! Starter Bakery from Berkeley, California is the reason I drive 40 minutes from the south end of San Jose for this Farmer's Market. Their stand is at the entrance on the North end of the farmers market and their line starts before 9:00 a.m. when they open. They seem to bring plenty of baked goods so don't be distressed. If the line is long, there will be plenty when your turn comes. There are other things that sell out within the first 15 minutes the market is open because they are so popular. Among those are the crab and shrimp ravioli from the Pasta Rey stand. You can order that ahead and they will set some aside for you in the stock that they bring. Check my uploaded photos for their business card if you want to order ahead. If you must have the shrimp & crab ravioli, this would be a good idea. I also love the variety of fresh fish available at the Mission Fish stand. Some of those varieties sell out fast as well. Rock cod is one of my favorites and it was sold out at by 9:30 this morning. Got some Halibut and true cod instead. There are a couple of stands that sell fresh strawberries. My family's favorite is the one that's closest to the south end of the market. They offer whole strawberries for you to taste and their strawberries are the sweetest I've ever had. No sugar required and I'm pretty picky when it comes to strawberries. No green shoulders on these berries! The Frenchy Gourmet sells kefir in all kinds of flavors! They have a deal if you buy three, my favorites are sour cherry, key lemon lime and pineapple. Thick and creamy but whipped so it's light and fluffy at the same time. This is the best yogurt you will ever eat. Pacheco Family Ranch is selling some Achadinha Cheese, a spectacular variety of European table cheese. I got some of the Broncha and the Cowpricious. They also offer fresh cheese curds in various flavors. I got the Lonely Garlic, mild garlic flavor, this one is a keeper. I got some peaches, they have eight different varieties. You can taste before you buy. The plain yellow peaches were huge and juicy! House Kombucha offers fresh kombucha in a bunch of flavors, Ginger Lemongrass was my pick. I also got the 16 oz. fresh squeezed sugar cane juice. This stuff is not as sweet as you might imagine, and had a lot of health benefits. I get mine and keep it well iced in an insulated water bottle with lots of ice. It will turn darker as it oxidizes so should be consumed same day. We always end our trip to the farmers market with breakfast from the prepared foods available. Some of our favorites are La More for Chilaquiles, crepes from Crepes Divine. They also sell lemonade, flavored iced tea and kettle corn. Crepes I can recommend are the B.E.C.A. (Bacon, egg, cheese and avocado), and the Baklava Crepe (walnuts, honey, cinnamon and bananas topped with whipped cream). For drinks their pomegranate iced tea was really refreshing, no sweetener required. Other things that I love about this particular farmers market is the fact that you can park right next to it. Located in the parking lot of the historic train station in the Niles district in Fremont, there are three lines of parking lot available behind the actual Market. If that's full, diagonal parking on main Street is available all the way into the afternoon. Downtown Niles maintains an amazing small town atmosphere, plenty of adorable little shops and some really great restaurants like Skillets are within walking distance of the market. This is a great way to start your weekend on a Saturday morning.

If you have not been to the market you must go. The quality of produce is exceptional.

Google
What an excellent Farmers Market ! They have everything you need and more. Meat cheese, bread, veggies, wonderful pastries, and really cool crafts as well. Definitely worth a trip to see this market.

Google
Although the products are good. It is way overpriced compared to the Irvington farmers market on Sundays. Irvington quality is as good or better more variety and a better deal. Prices a lot less than Nile’s. It’s worth a trip!!

Maxim Ge

Google
severely overpriced produce and food stalls, kombucha 2x more expensive than anywhere, some fancy tea kiosk with again 2x jacked prices, burrito place with small portions and high prices. i dont get the vibe here, its Niles, not SF or NY, get real.

Yelp
Went here for the first time last week. I recommend going at 9am if you can. The parking lot was full already. There's one vendor close to the entrance who has all of the good vegetables. I'm a vegetarian so I was excited to see the vendor (forgot the name) who sells only mushrooms because I use different mushrooms to substitute chicken dishes. PLUS.....they sell mushroom jerky which was very delicious except a bit salty. They are a bit pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for. I'd definitely go back.

Yelp
Not a whole lot of vendors at Nikes farmer's market. Fairly small, only about a block maybe block and half. Like others have said, overpriced. Located in nice area with many antique shops across the street.

Yelp
We enjoy coming here for the farmers market, but beware of the stand that sells strawberries and blueberries. The seller claims their products are organic, even though there's no label or certification on their packaging or banner. When asked, the seller says their berries are organic and follow the same processes, but they don't have official certification because it's too expensive. They also say keeping the price low is the reason they haven't pursued certification. Personally, I don't believe their claim. My child had a reaction after eating their berries, which makes me question the quality and safety of the produce. If you're looking to buy organic, make sure the product is officially certified--don't just take their word for it.

Yelp
We stopped by Niles Farmers Market before having lunch in the general area on a Saturday. I thought this was going to be larger but it's a very small quaint Farmers Market. They have a variety of booths from a honey maker to your typical veggies and fruits as well as actual food vendors. They also had musicians playing music! Our family bought some honey which they liked. Everyone was quite kind. Parking was a bit challenging. We opted to park on the street. I'm not sure if they had more parking in the actual lots. We didn't try. Overall, it's as quaint as the district. Not as big as other farmers markets. But if you're in the area on a Saturday and want a quick farmers market experience. Then this is the one you'd go to!

Yelp
This farmers market is smaller than the other ones in the area. There are decent varieties of the vendors. Prices are in general somewhat pricier than expected. The location is conveniently located at the town center.

Yelp
Niles Farmers Market is nice, it's quite small but I feel like they had quite a few vendors and a lot to offer. They had some really good fruit and veggie vendors. I was surprised that they had about 3 bakery vendors, this was right up my alley as I'm always in search for some good bread and pastries. There were a few food vendors such as Smash n' Stack Burgers, a seafood vendor, mexican food, asian food and I also loved the live music playing (he was awesome!!!!) I tried Starter Bakery as they really caught my eye, i got a Kouign-amann and mini banana bread. Their pastries are so good and very fresh. I was also tempted to try Wingen Bakery as well but I will definitely try them next time. I did however stop at Smash n' Stack Burgers, prices were reasonable but the wait was quite long I think about 30+ minutes. The burgers are good but very greasy, maybe worth a try at least once. I will definitely be back and will come at 9am when they open as oppose to 12pm when it's very crowded so that I can really explore and take everything in. Although there are many vendors I feel as though they should expand it to a bigger area because it feels very cramped. But it's definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
It was my first time at this Farmers Market and really enjoyed my time there. There was live music and a selection of fresh fruit and vegetable vendors. 10/10 would recommend. It's located in a cute and quaint town with lots of antique stores within a minute or two of walking.

Yelp
Better than the Newark market because of the smaller size and the historic setting. We enjoyed Bronco Billy's for pizza afterwards
google avatar

Yelp
They have some amazing food and lots of cool mushrooms. It isn't huge, but I love the selection. The Niles area is really kind of cool too if you haven't been there.

Yelp
+1 to not knowing what it was like before but I like this as another Saturday option with plenty of parking and an old vintage train station and grass area within walking distance to take the kids if you have a family, or dogs which is pet-friendly too! It's not as produce heavy like the Sunday one is in Newark by amc theater, but there's 2-3 stalls with veggies and seasonal fruits that look reasonably priced. Other stalls included a DIY specialty mushroom vendor (pink oyster, lions mane), Starter bakery, Mrs Miggins for their British style pies, raw honey, fresh flowers, ramen DIY kits, seafood (shucked oysters and fish filets that are vacuum packed), dough wei me (flavorful malasadas and mochi doughnuts) every other Saturday, eggs, Pasta Rey for fresh pasta and sauces, Alexandre milk, and a few others I don't recall but enough to inspire maybe a weekend dinner at home!

Yelp
Well... I like going there for non supermarket food items. That are not polluted with any streptococcus in everything edible , mRNA , antibiotics etc.. I am not into my own demise. Like what our invaded government is trying to do to us. Like spraying is all with chemicals to kill us all off! It's in the air , water , food and animals. But. No one says anything about it? We live in a State that has sold us all out to the NWO etc.. But. Massive voter fraud and really stupid people vote these Commie boot locker's in office of power and governor etc.. So it is what it is? Since we have coward's not willing to step up but. Hide. Me. I say it like it is. I am not submissive person. Never have been. But. I don't control other's. I am just a messenger of the truth. Despite popular belief! I can see , hear , smell and feel what is going on around me. I'll not be brain washed. ‍....

Yelp
I've been coming to this farmers market off and on for years as I've lived pretty close for almost a decade. I went the last couple Saturdays after not having gone a few months and they have upped their game! instead of like the 10ish booths they used to have, there was probably more like 40 and lots of variety and small businesses besides the produce. Just to list some I remember: Sustainable Beef raised in Gilroy Fresh Eggs Candles and incense Spiced Vinegars CBD products Fresh bread and baked goods Frozen British pastries - Mrs Miggins. I've bought from her a few times now, these are so good. Fresh meal prep Honey Beer Plants Florist Wood cutting boards Food trucks Live music Kombucha Coffee truck from Devout Popcorn I'm sure I'm missing things but there's a lot going on. I know there are larger farmers markets in Fremont and Newark but I like going into Niles so I'm happy this one has improved. There's also the train depot with a grassy area right next door so it's been fun to take my son, buy food to eat and let him play over there after. I've done it 3 Saturdays in a row now and will probably do it again this Saturday!

Yelp
Very surprised what a nice small town FM. We enjoyed it so much, we went back the following weekend. Nice people and variety of great veggies and other nice foods.

Yelp
I know that the farmers market is in the process of being revamped since many of the local businesses talked about it now being under new ownership. I had never been to the farmers market prior to change in ownership so I can't compare my experience to previous times. This was my first time and I enjoyed it. It's on the small side but there is much more than just fruits and vegetables. You can find coffee, hummus, flowers, baked goods and more!! I think one of the coolest things is that you can go to the farmers market and then go support local businesses around, take a stroll and do some shopping or have brunch. There is parking around but it can get busy the closer you get to the lunch hours. Everyone was so nice and pleasant. Loved the samples and prices were competitive. Open every Saturday. I have a feeling that this farmers market will take off and be the go to spot.

Yelp
About 10 booths, only one vegetables and fruit vendor but we did come on a rainy day. Never came before covid but imagine it was quite good since the Niles area would have been a cool place to hang out on the weekend. Definitely will keep coming though to support the vendors that do show up and hopefully it'll keep going and get bigger once Covid cools down The standouts are: Doughweime, see the high reviews, its no fluke. The chef has an interesting pastry history and these are so abnormally good it's worth coming to this Farmers market just to try these donuts and then shop around at other vendors. Donna's Tamales. Forget the word "Tamales" and just pretend their sign says "Chips and Salsa". Most people I see trying their stuff instantly go for the Tamales but the chips and salsa are really good and really fresh. If you've never had tortilla chips and salsa made the same day give it a shot and it'll shock you how fresh and delicious it tastes over anything store bought. We love the Tomatillo one.

Yelp
Niles Farmers Market is only open on Saturdays from 10am-2pm and takes up one row of one of the public parking lots, with plenty of parking remaining for cars. I feel like it matches the old Niles district vibe - an eclectic mix of foods and goods, with some real gems in there. Though it's not too big, it can be a fun, quick weekend morning trip - and it's tempting to stop by Devout for some coffee or Skillet'z brunch while in the area, or see what the local antique shops have to offer. Also, I really appreciate how clean this farmer's market is! PRODUCE: The last two weekends that we've dropped by, there were 2-3 produce stands - we got some beautiful, delicious rainbow chard, kale, and beets at $5/2 bunches, and some hefty pomegranates. I wouldn't come here for my main source of groceries, but the offerings aren't bad. DONUTS: I highly recommend checking out the donuts at DoughWeiMe - they have their own Yelp page as well, and so far Niles Farmers Market is the only place they're at every week. TAMALES: Donna's Tamales has refrigerated tamales at $7 for a pack of two tamales. There's a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and meat options - we've tried the chicken, spicy cauliflower, eggplant, and pumpkin so far. Super easy to heat up and eat, and they're fluffy and savory. + MORE: It seems vendors may come and go depending on the week, so if you have some free time, come by and check it out. Maybe you'll find the perfect potted plant or a bunch of fresh flowers to brighten up your home, or you'll walk out with your arms loaded with fresh meat, honey, olive oil, hummus, and a taco and iced horchata latte. The possibilities are almost endless!

Yelp
NIles Farmers Market doesn't get a lot of love from people seeking only fruits & vegetables. no vendor is required to be here nor is any patron required to attend. it's a choice for everyone. farmer's market is an affordable place for vendors to sell their merch and patrons to do an one stop shopping of sorts, with free parking to boot. there's a variety of vendors besides fruits & vegetables: i saw 16. sampling: -solar paneling -meat cuts -healing -taco truck -hummus heaven -bay area bagels -dough-wei-me (donuts) -don julio's catering (mexican) -honey

Yelp
Got an excellent pork burrito, enjoyed the music, fresh air, great produce...wish I'd gotten more peaches, I could have pie!
google avatar

Yelp
A very small farmer's market. This farmer's market is open on Saturday's 10am -2pm. My boyfriend and I ended up checking this out this morning. We noticed that there is only 1 vendor selling vegetables and fruits. We were on the hunt to find some green beans, okra and avocados. Unfortunately we were not able to find what we were looking for. We ended up just buying 3 onions and broccoli. We checked out the vendor that was selling pins for Crocs shoes. They had cute pins. I think they were around $3. Other vendors we saw are Orbit Coffee, earth crystal jewelry, Just Tea, some baked goods, flowers, frozen bao buns, tacos and Doughweime. Of course we had to stop at Doughweime. There's always a long line at this vendor. They sell malasada and Hawaii mochi donuts. This is a MUST! Their donuts are so delicious.

Yelp
Nice little Farmers' Market in historic Niles Blvd, several food stands and fresh produce.

Barakat A.

Yelp
This was such a fun and social event. There was live music and lots of different vendors to try some amazing bites from. There was also a lovely flower stand and some really great fresh produce. Everyone seemed so nice and I really enjoyed my time there. Only thing I would say is next time I need to go on an emptier stomach :)
google avatar

Usha A.

Yelp
I love the Saturday early morning visit here to see all the fresh produce and the local businesses bringing their products be it bakery items, flowers, jewelry, boba tea, tacos. It's amazing to see the hustle bustle, people walking around with safety measures, wearing masks and it's so convenient that you don't have to carry cash. The vendors take credit cards and very polite and courteous in their service and hospitality. Few vegetables and bakery items I bought but going through each stall is a delight. Parking can be challenging and the good thing is that next to this there was live music while I was shopping. Life seemed like normal for a change.
google avatar

Chadie G.

Yelp
Cute little gem for a Saturday stroll! It's in a quaint area in Fremont. Spacious market with shaded areas, ample parking and lots of goodies! From Boba, to tacos, Bao Buns, crocs pins, flowers, baked goods, honey, and earth crystal jewelry!!!! And more! The vendors are super nice and reasonable pricing! Worth coming out on a gorgeous day to do some community support!

Dean C.

Yelp
A lot of vendors. A wide variety of selections and very friendly place to visit on the weekends!
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
Since the new ownership of this farmers market, it has greatly improved! So many nice local vendors, way more diverse vegetable and fruit options, rotating vendors keeping it fresh and new and their social media promoting local businesses. One star off for not providing EBT for fresh vegetables and fruits to the lower income communities here in the tri-city. Everyone deserves access to healthy food.
google avatar

Minh C.

Yelp
We were planning to stop by the Niles Farmers market to get some mochi donuts from Doweime but they didn't show up today she we got some plants and just walked around. It's very small and doesn't have too many fruit or vegetable stands. There's a train station and a little park area, but nothing special. I did notice that there were to supercar meet ups there. I saw a group of Corvette owners and import car owners who cake by to chill at the parking lot before they head out for some canyon back roads.

Linda M.

Yelp
The Niles Farmers Market has been REFRESHED! Lots of new booths - mainly gourmet items, for example, English style sausage rolls (to take home and bake) were unique and yummy! A knife sharpening booth and Pastries (as always great from Niles Pie Co.) I highly recommend visiting Nile's again on a Saturday to check out their "New" Farmers Market.

Ravichandran R.

Yelp
Greedy market. It is better to shop a nearby store. All fruits and vegetables are priced high in comparison to outlets nearby. I bought a pound of carrot and a pound of cauliflower for 8 dollars which I can easily buy at 5 dollars in Apne Mandi.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
Cute neighborhood farmer's market on Saturday. I picked up a few bunches of flowers. There was a line of about 15 booths of produce, flowers, plants, honey, and jewelry. There was plenty of open space nearby for people to gather and enjoy the sunshine during COVID times. Fun weekend activity if you're in the area.
google avatar

Priya K.

Yelp
The Niles Farmers Market is a perfect fit into the picturesque Niles high street. It's quite small with 3 stalls of produce, a flower shop, and an assortment of stalls selling honey, hummus, candles, bagels, etc. However, quantity is not everything, the quality of the produce is great. The spinach, chard and kale are very fresh and tasty. Tomatoes and broccoli are also very good. There's a fair amount of food options - a popular taco truck judging by the long line, frozen baos, etc. There is ample parking right by the historic rail. It is not crowded, yet there's enough people to make it feel lively. It makes a lovely Saturday morning outing - stroll along the Niles High Street, get some coffee or tea and stock up veggies and fruits for the week!
google avatar

Yvonne W.

Yelp
So bad y'all. Barely any fruits and vegetables. Mostly people with junk to sell. I did enjoy walk down the street looking at the shops but I won't ever go back to the farmers market. I will wait until Sunday and go to the one at NewPark Mall. It's so much better.
google avatar

Sameer P.

Yelp
Very cute! Flowers and donuts and hummus and vegetables and much much more :) don't come for purely grocery shopping, but it's a very cute farmers market in a safe and adorable little part of town. will definitely come here more often!
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
We love the Niles' Farmers Market! It's a smaller affair, but it makes it feel less crowded and intimate. Since the Summer has started there have been more booths each weekend. Our favorite booths are: Hummus Heaven and Niles Pie Company. At Hummus Heaven I highly encourage you to try the Tomato Basil Spread- super savory and garlicky. I can put that stuff on anything, but my favorites are eggs and salads. They also do a wonderful container of Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolmas). They are tender and so scrumptious. At the Pie Company, we like the pasties. They are like a hand pie. We tried the beef and cheddar and another that I can't remember now, but they were both fantastic! Flaky outside and delicious filling. The have a ton more to offer, but those pasties really hit the spot. You will also see a bao bun booth, an occasional food truck, local honey, some arts and crafts vendors, and of course some vegetable and fruit vendors. Covid: masks required, fruit and veggie vendors limit to one-two people in the booth at a time, and encouraged to keep 6' Distance from others. Vendors wash/hand sanitize between customers.

Yelp
Small cozy farmers market located at the old town district of Fremont. Occasionally, an old model chu chu train would pass by. This small old town strip has lots of history and characters.
google avatar

Ricky D.

Yelp
My favorite Saturday breakfast consists of stopping by the Niles Farmers Market, passing by the Niles Pie Co. booth and grabbing a few pastries. Fresh Pop-Tarts, breakfast croissants with various fillings, puffs, biscuits, savory and sweet pies... oh my! After procuring the goods, we set out on a conveniently close walk to the Niles Park and Train Museum (50 feet or so) and grab a bench under the shade of a tree and dig in. Post breakfast is spent burning off the devoured deliciousness chasing children (I strongly recommend and believe that it is required that you own or know said children) around the well kept park. Before walking back to the car we grab fresh fruits and veggies and set off. Pros: Location, Musician, Consistant/Reliable Vendors, Most* accept Credit Cards and lastly Sweet Fruits that allow me to reduce the amount of sugar I need to add to most pies I make. Cons: Variety (only 12-15 booths)
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
Small farmers market, maybe about 8-10 stalls. I've come here a couple of times and my main reason for coming - Niles Pie Co. They have these amazing pop tarts - blueberry, apple, lemon, Nutella and yesterday they had pumpkin spice. They are $3 a piece. I also get their pasties - potato and cheese which are better waned up I'm sure but I'm just too lazy to do so. They take cards.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
TINY. There were about 8 stands, and over half of those stands were "gourmet" type ones selling expensive hummus or bread or lotion that will fix any skin problem you've ever had. There was literally only one stand selling vegetables, and they didn't even have standard veggies like carrots or green beans. A few stands were selling fruit and the prices were OK but not amazing.
google avatar

Sfo B.

Yelp
A farmers market that started a few months ago. There were not many booths yet when I went there in Jan 2016. The vendors were nice to talk to and had some good products to look at. Plus cross the street there are quite a few little shops of the Niles that worth to go to.
google avatar

Sandy Q.

Yelp
So, we were across the street for lunch and decided to drop by afterwards. There was about 8-10 vendors there at the time (around 1pm) and there wasn't much products to choose from. We ended up leaving empty handed, which is rare for me.

Teresa H.

Yelp
Fresh locally sourced vegetables, fruit, pastries, smoked fish and more every Saturday 9am to 1pm. This new market is a great addition to the Niles District. Shops and restaurants are open too. Fun for the kids too. There is a bounce house and live music. Lots of vendors.
