overall, I enjoyed my meal at Nimthoi restaurant. They offer authentic Tibetan, Nepalese, and Sikkamese food. The friendly and provided suggestions on what foods they offer and what would work well for me the interior was tastefully decorated with an ornamental “chula” which was wonderful!. I ordered a thali which came with rice, kalo dal, 3 types of achar, aloo etc and it was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it after this I ordered sevia for dessert. It was also very good. Overall, I had a great experience. The only issue I had was that the portion sizes were a bit smaller than I expected, but the food quality was on point. I highly recommend.

Nimto Restaurant, Gangtok – A Must-Try! One of the best places in Gangtok for authentic Sikkimese Thalis! We tried the Jhol Momo and Thakali Thali, both were flavorful and delicious. The food felt truly authentic, and the ambience was great too. Highly recommended! ✅

Authentic Nepali Tibetan and sikkimese authentic food... Thakali thali with pork, chicken, mutton were tasty... The food was tasty and the service providers also so humble...

Been to this place for lunch Nice ambience Had, thakali thali, Tongba- drink and jhol momos. Thali has plain rice, fermented soya bean daal, plain daal, local beans with churpi, salad, aloo, tomato chilli chutney … Tastes ok. Jhol momos - momos dipped in soup and very juicy. Tongba is a tradition local drink Prices are expensive Service could be fast Overall ok

The ambience and location of this place is its usp. I loved their mutton thakali thali and my brother had the pork one. My mom ordered the veg thakali thali but couldn’t appreciate the taste. I would say if you are non vegetarian you will love it. The presentation of the thali is also very good. Millet beer was also something different and must try.

A very nice themed nepali style restaurant.. Very understaffed, gave wrong items and no proper service. A variety of items to chose from Nepali thali to ala carte items. The jhol momos were really good.

One of the best places on MG Marg to get a nice Sikkimese, Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine. The place has a nice cozy atmosphere and food is delicious. Definitely a must try if you are in Gangtok.

I was visiting Gangtok and wanted to try some local food and I had one of the best experiences. I had Tongbo (local millet based alcohol served in Bamboo), Nepali Fried Chicken and Jhol momo. Tongbo was fascinating and Momos were so yummy. I definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Gangtok.
