The Best Brunch in D.C. | Eater DC

"The weekend brunch (Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at this hyperlocal American restaurant in Logan Circle has plenty of outdoor seating. Opt for a “chef’s choice” ($45 per person) to sample a variety of dishes, or go with a la carte options like eggs Benedict topped with braised short rib." - Tierney Plumb

D.C.’s Best Holiday Pop-Ups | Eater DC

"This neighborhood spot in Shaw has brought back its Winter Wonderland covered patio for the season, where diners can take advantage of cozy fire pits and blankets surrounded holiday decor and a grand Christmas tree. Classic winter cocktails include eggnog, hot toddies, mulled wine, and Mexican hot chocolate. Chef Colin McClimans’ warming dishes include Parker House rolls with sage butter; butternut squash and sage risotto fritters with pink peppercorn ricotta and brown butter; and more hearty bites. Don’t miss out on free canapés and ornaments handed out during a tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 14 at 7 p.m. — EV" - Vinciane Ngomsi

Inside Elena James, Chevy Chase’s New All-Day Venture From Familiar D.C. Names | Eater DC

"Originally conceived by the same team as a more casual, all-day cafe component of their small D.C. empire, this Logan Circle restaurant became a higher-end, special-occasion-coded spot as it developed. The owners originally planned to have an all-day cafe here and, during the pandemic, learned how to adapt to to-go orders — lessons that later informed menu and service choices at their new neighborhood project. A handful of pastas first served at this location influenced the new restaurant’s array of five pasta dishes, including items like pesto-drenched ricotta gnocchi." - Emily Venezky
