"Ninety seconds is all it takes to cook a pie in Nina’s 900-degree wood-fired ovens, which are tamed by owners Penelope Lachapelle and Lucie Nadeau, the undisputed queens of Neapolitan pies in Quebec City. Crafted from fine ingredients, the pizzas are simple and satisfying. But to truly understand the gift of Nina, go beyond pizza and indulge in burrata and any of the cocktails. The St-Roch location is the original and showcases one of the city’s last wood-fired ovens, but both locations are very kid-friendly." - Allison Van Rassel

Yelp
Unbelievable pizza! I have celiac and the gluten free pizza here tasted like the gluten free pizza in Naples, Italy. Really incredible! Phenomenal flavor combinations; every pizza is delicious. Great service and an accommodating staff. An absolute must do while in Quebec City! Meal recommendations: The piselli and pancetta pizza was unreal. Had a delicious cream sauce, and mint and citrus notes. 10/10. The polenta and caponata dish was bursting with flavor, and had great texture. The prosciutto and sausage were top notch quality! Enjoy!

Yelp
Visited because I read so many great things about this place... but I was rather disappointed. I ordered a caesar salad, but it was SOOOO inedibly salty. I LOVE caesar salads, but this was not it. It was clear to the many servers that I did not enjoy it, as I took probably two or three bites tops. I informed multiple servers checking in on me about how it was inedible, but they did not offer me any alternatives or take it off my check. The pizza was average, but I do like that it was made in the pizza oven.

Yelp
Takeout review with online ordering - two pizzas, one margharita and the other with another with sausage. The pizzas were maybe 10", 6 pieces each, so not very large. Could easily serve 1 person. They were well-seasoned, thin crust but not crunchy, lightly topped with a puffy edge crust. While very good with quality ingredients, the two pizzas were almost $50 which seemed expensive especially for takeout. In contrast, the pizza chain around the corner had a 6.99 special which I'm sure was not as good.

Yelp
Glad we booked a week ahead for our Friday evening dinner in St. Roch. First impression is the impressive pizza oven and busy take out business. Promptly greeted and brought to our table in this cozy neighborhood restaurant. It was a cold night so the heat was appreciated. Oh, coat rack by the restroom which is helpful. Very friendly and helpful server, thanks for English skills too! Hubby wasn't sure of which red wine so a couple of samples were pleasantly offered. My Aperol spritz was delightful. I devoured the very fresh green salad and hubby loved his Ceasar with extra anchovies. In hindsight, these salads are large enough to share. Our server did not mention that and we enjoyed them so much that we cleaned our bowls. Since we were looking for leftovers for our lunch during our drive to Montreal the next day, we both ordered our own pie. Hubby's margarita had plenty of cheese and flavor. A tad soggy in the middle since the dough is so thin. Crust was delicious though. My pizza marinara was yummy, with garlic and added basil. No cheese for me Other diners were cleaning their plates and people were enjoying slow dining time together. This restaurant is recommended by travel guides and concierge confirmed. Delicious and would visit again! Open for lunch on some days too.

Yelp
It is damn hard to find decent pizza in this town but Nina is the place the locals know and love, and it ain't bad. Venture out of the old city to the more hipster side and you'll be pleasantly pleased. No tourists here. The pizza is true to form Napolitiano and yes it's a bit overly mushy in the center but hey, that's part of the art of quick-high heat the Napolitiano's are famous for. Pair the pies with their quirky drink selections and pretend you're a student at Le College Bart and talk design.

Yelp
Twice we ate here on our journey to the Canadian French city of Quebec City. Each time is was perfect. Straight up traditional pizza that blew away all the other pizza we tried while in town. Nice modern vibe in the place, quality service and great drink menu means one happy 11 year old boy, and a very happy wife, but an even more so happy me. Unless you're serving up Chicago deep dish, keep me pizza Napoli style, the way caesar intended.

Yelp
Very strange experience. For handicap people be aware of the two large steps you must take to enter. This pizza shop is in the middle of a neighborhood, how lovely to be able to walk to your favorite pizza shop. Parking is tight. We were picked up by a taxi driver and he suggested this place. Our waiter was very nice. My aunt likes sweet wine, like Moscato but they do not carry that. The waiter was kind enough to bring out their sweetest wine but it was dry, not sweet. We ended up just having water. We decided to get a cheese pizza (Margherita). Our order came and they brought us two 12" pizza's. We said no, no, we only want one. He explained that most customers get their own pizza and he kept asking are you sure it is enough. We did notice that every table had a full pizza for each person at the table. Well, that is way too much for us. The pizza crust was not done enough for us and the cheese was different. He said the pizza is only in the hot oven for 90 seconds, really? Well, it looked it. The other pictures I see posted all seem to have a crust that is done, but ours was not. Service was excellent, cute place, but we can't rave about the pizza, sorry.

Yelp
The service here was great. Friendly faces welcomed us and happily spoke English. The salad was fresh and the perfect combination of zest, salty, and savory. The sauce on the pizza was light and full of flavor. Prosciutto was so delicate. Such a cute spot, light bright and cozy! The salad and pizza was a perfect lunch to share between two of us. We debated ordering a second pizza to take home because it was just that delicious.

Amana C.

Yelp
We placed a take out order at the counter. It was hard for us to do it over the phone because no one spoke any English. However at the counter the ladies were really helpful and guided us as to how many pizzas we would need and helped explain the details of the French menu. The margarita plus plus and the fungi pizza were great.

Pat B.

Yelp
After lots of research we decided on Nina's and wow am I glad we did. Most delicious pizza with prosciutto arugula etc and a salad. We shared both items and it was plenty. My husband also had a wheat beer. The restaurant is small and the acoustics were really loud. It felt like multiple conversations were bouncing off the walls. But if you set that aside the food was well worth the walk from our hotel. Punish me because I forgot to take photos this time. Go here if you're feeling like a pizza pie.

Yelp
This is a really cute little pizza place located in the Saint-Roche area of Quebec City. We walked in and were immediately seated. Our waiter was super cool and friendly. We both enjoyed our cocktails and had the burrata for appetizer. I think it was over salted however it was still a really great dish and the cheese went perfectly with the olive oil and lemon. They serve it to you with their homemade pizza dough which is so delicious. Then we shared the funghi pizza. Funghi means mushrooms in Italian and we added the pancetta for two dollars. Definitely in my top five pizzas I've ever had my life. Please note that they do not do any kind of pizza substitutions for toppings. I'd def be back!

Chad M.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious, and the staff was super-friendly-- being quite considerate of our COVID precautions, they even set up a couple chairs and a bottle of water while we waited outside. We can strongly recommend such a high-quality establishment!

Mike L.

Yelp
Delicious pizza & fantastic citrus salad. Friendly service in clean, casual spot. Kid friendly

Marje B.

Yelp
Really good pizza!!! We wanted to go to a restaurant around the corner but to our surprise it was closed. So we looked up the closest restaurant and Nina's popped up. Downside 45 minutes wait. At this point we just committed. When we got seated we realized they didn't have AC, it was like an oven inside. All customers and workers looked red and hot. I wish we would have just had it to go. But we still stayed. We ordered 3 pizza Fungi, Barcelona, & La Green point. We also ordered a salad verdi e figoli. Our servers we're friendly and explained the menu to us. Everything tasted great, it was worth the wait. The pizza was yummy, plenty of food to share between 4 adults.

R V.

Yelp
Came all the way from NJ to try the Funghi pizza and it was worth it, also had the 5 cheese pizza but was missing something, I'd personally add hot honey to it to enhance the flavor and contrast of the cheeses.

Erin R.

Yelp
Excellent pizza! I got the argula and proscuttio - the pizza was well covered with my toppings. Dough was perfect for the style of za. This rates up there with my favorite Napolitain pizza place in DC. Service was excellent - I ordered to go and was able to enjoy a wine and some conversation with the bartender while I waited!

Darryl K.

Yelp
Great service and excellent food. The pizza was great and the zucchini salad was art. The server was very knowledgeable and helped us order the right food! English and French available.

Iain L.

Yelp
I can only speak from my delivery experience through Uber Eats, but our driver had to sit and wait for our food for half an hour, and it was somehow still cold when we got it. It was obvious not a lot of care went into making it, and the portions of the appetizers were downright embarrassing. Could be a completely different experience dining in, but ours was pretty awful.

Caitlyn S.

Yelp
This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. We had the pancetta pea one, funghi and classic margarita. My personal fave was the funghi. It was so creamy and perfect. Not too strong on the earthy mushroom taste, but perfect enough to love it. The peas made the pancetta pizza for me. The crust so very soft, chewy and doughy. Perfect size to fill you up. Waitress was super lovely and funny. Will def recommend to anyone visiting Quebec!

Jen L.

Yelp
As a tourist, a friend recommended this gem. They use a wood fire pizza oven. The windows open up to the street and have hanging flowers. It's very popular and gets busy during the lunch rush. You can call ahead for a table. Our server was very friendly and told us about what fresh items he had that day, burrata. We got the funghi with pancetta (for an added bit of texture and flavor but it didn't need it) and margarita pizza with mushrooms ( love the red sauce). We saved our crust to dip into their house spicy olive oil. The highlight for me was the iced tea the server made fresh with lemon juice and shaken with ice. It was super refreshing.

Bong B.

Yelp
Un service rapide et sympathique. La pâte est exceptionnelle mais la portion de garniture sur la pizza végé qu'on a commandée aurait pu être plus généreuse...

Uyen D.

Yelp
Nice restaurant on a little street perpendicular to St-Joseph. It was recommended by a friend. We had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated on a Sunday night, so not too bad. But it can get really packed, so you better reserve ahead ! I always loved the smell of wood fire pizza oven !! Service was good and they were nice. I really liked my Margerita pizza ! Could not finish it so had it to go. You can order pizza to go too. It's the best pizza I had in Quebec.

Roberta L.

Yelp
This place did not disappoint! The crust on the pizza was amazing and the toppings were fresh and delicious. The staff were kind and able to accommodate us in English.

Mike S.

Yelp
I guess we had an off night here - we were told by a local friend that we had to come here and we did. We arrived and waited about 10 min for a table and like others have said it was super busy and hot inside with employees working hard. We got olives to nosh on as an appetizer and the margarita and verdura pizza for main course. The former pizza was very bland / flavorless and a bit chewy / undercooked and the latter was better and had flavor but still nothing to rave about. We left a bit perplexed as perhaps we have other perceptions of what pizza should taste like or because it was crowded maybe standards dropped a bit? All we knew was that we didn't have the same experience others who had raved about it had. The staff was nice and when they came around we told them our sentiments and they were nice to take the appetizer off the check as a courtesy. As others have mentioned it was hot hot hot inside and maybe had we not been starving and sweating we would have sent the pizza back but hey, you live you learn.

Yelp
On Mondays many of the restaurants in Quebec are closed, but not to worry! Pizza ia always an option- and no better option than Nina! It was packed so we sat at the bar, took off our jackets & adjusted to the warmth emanating from the wood fired oven( do not try this in the summer!) and overlooked the guys kneading the dough and building the pizza while the young woman expertly & artfully managed the pizzas in the oven. The staff was friendly and helpful despite being busy. We shared the small mista salad and a pizza with prosciutto kalmatta olives and artichoke. Wonderful. The crust was thin but not too crisp, the sauce and the cheese just perfect. Together with a glass of wine was exactly what we needed after a long day to relax and reflect.

Yelp
Definitely one of the best pizzeria joints I had visited while visiting Canada. The owner of this establishment was very hospitable to our family. Overall, the pies were exceptional. However, we didn't enjoy one particular pie which was salty for our personal pallets. We will definitely return. -Ambiance: 4.5/5 -Price: 4.5/5 -Service: 5/5 -Taste: 5/5 Bon Appétit @41fearless10

Yelp
Salad and pizza were excellent! Wasn't sure I wanted to make the trek from the Disneyland area, but this place was well worth it. Nearby shops are just ok. But what a great meal and a local ambience. Arrive early, was packed for lunch on a Monday.

Bernard L.

Yelp
Great Neapolitan style pizza place in the very cool Saint-Roch neighborhood of Quebec City. I had read lots of good things about this place and I definitely wasn't disappointed. The place was packed and there was a bit of a wait, but that's a good sign, isn't it? I had to get the greenpoint as that's where I live and I believe it was inspired by a pizza place in the neighborhood. Needless to say, everything was delicious. The fresh arugula was a great addition to this pie and a pleasant surprise- the menu was in French and I was just winging it... I had no idea there was arugula. Service was quick and friendly and the beer menu featured many local craft offerings.

Shivani S.

Yelp
I honestly don't understand the raving reviews for this place. We decided to drive from NY to a trip to Quebec City and I am very disappointed to say the least. We checked best pizzas around us and Nina's came up and with the great reviews we were sold. I called and asked when they close and the guy said their last order will be at 10 pm. We entered at 9:15pm and were greeted with a very rude black guy wearing glasses and when we asked to place an order he said he will ask the chef if he can "allow" that. He said place your order NOW OR NEVER-not just once, but TWICE. He was so blunt and his attitude was completely condescending that it ruined the entire experience for us, and the pizza was nothing special either with its bland flavors and soggy crust. So if you're a tourist save your money -(it was $60 for shitty three pies) and GAS- go somewhere else where your business is appreciated and they don't act like they're doing you a favor. If you're a tourist I recommend staying away from the city as a whole- there are better places in the world where good people live and welcome you.

Sourabh M.

Yelp
If you are up for a distinguished pizza experience, Nina's is the right choice. Thin crust innovative and extremely tasty toppings. I am a carnivore by choice and I tried their Funghi pizza.... Ammmmazing. Inspite of being 100% vegetarian. The other 2 pizzas we ordered were proscuto pizza and the Rabbit sausage and pistachio paste as topping. Spicy olive oil was a nice accompaniment. Perfect pizza dinner after a day spent at water park. The restaurant is in a non touristy neighbourhood but the ambience is highly inviting and the servers are very friendly. Would recommend for quick service yet gourmet pizza experience.

Yelp
My husband and I are in Quebec City for our honeymoon and this is the first place we visited. We loved everything about this place! The service was excellent and the pizza to die for. We had a crostini appetizer to begin and each had our own pizza (Salsiccia and Barcelona). At the recommendation of other yelp reviewers we tried the spicy oil they bring-do it! You won't be disappointed. This locations gets busy right around 6 so I recommend coming early or making a reservation. Another added bonus is the staff was so accommodating to our limited French!

Dude H.

Yelp
We called and were told they didn't have any tables available so the wife and I went for appetizers down the street. About an hour later the kids came and said let's just show up at Ninas. We did and were seated promptly. We got two pizzas the five cheese and the mushroom. They were cooked just right. Crisp on the outside and a little chewy on the inside. The spicy olive oil added a lot and I was digging the spicy heat. One of the first things I noticed was the lack of condiments on the table (pram oregano salt pepper). Good thing because some of the ingredients are local. This way you get the flavor of the pizza the way they want it to taste. Service is great and staff is very friendly.

George F.

Yelp
The best pizza I have had since I was born. So good. We had 2 different salads that were also yummy. The service was great and the atmosphere please as well. If you are looking for something not french than this it!!

Adam S.

Yelp
Great place in a non-touristy area. It was crazy busy on a weekday night that we were there, so make a reservation in advance. We were able to get a seat at the bar with no wait, though, so no harm no foul. We split a Crostini for an appetizer, and I got the Piselli e Pancetta pizza for dinner. The Crostini was absolutely awesome--they did a great job of not overcooking the bread to the point of tooth-hurting crunchiness, and the tomato and mozzarella both tasted very fresh. All of the ingredients were in the right proportions--a fabulous starter. The pizza was also very good, although the crust could use some work. It's a bit chewy, but the taste left not much to be desired. Again, seemed very fresh and the wood fired oven is always a nice touch. The place itself is very cute--lots of light wood and flowers, and the atmosphere on a weekday dinner was great. Our server was friendly as well, and I would have no complaints about going back.

Andrew N.

Yelp
It is a good thing we do not live in Québec or else we would probably be eating here all the time! The pizza was phenomenal. Nice, chewy crust. And they were small enough where we could all order our own pizzas and share. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Elguero s.

Yelp
Punk rock gourmet pizza. Outstanding in every way.

Wang T.

Yelp
Taste good! It doesn't have English menu. Thin slice inside. I prefer the one with meat.

kyle g.

Yelp
Excellent. Great service and even better pizza. The best gluten free pizza crust I have had. I'm happy to have found Nina's on my first day in Montreal.

H Y.

Yelp
Very good pizza. Super nice staff. Be sure to try the chili oil for the pizza.

Craig E.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, the type of place I would want to live down the street from. Simple good, great service, cozy and casual atmosphere.

Laurel C.

Yelp
Best pizza we've had in ages. Authentic Neapolitan style. Well worth the hike to get here - it is walkable but well outside the tourist area. The appetizer - mozzarella filled with creme - is to die for. Don't miss it. Olive appetizer very nice to nosh on as well. Service terrific as well.... a wonderful experience to go where the locals go. So glad we experienced Nina!

Sarah H.

Yelp
Pizza was good, make a reservation or if you're a small group of 2 you could sit by the window, that's what we did. They have beer and wine. The oven is from Italy and warms the whole place up. The crust and sauce were really good; the pizza came out a little greasy but it was delicious.

Shannon M.

Yelp
Pizza snobs,We were so excited to try a proper Neapolitan pizza. We could tell the pizza was good because the place was crowded - a 20 minute. The smells were heavenly and the beautiful over was glowing with the open fire inside.Alas, It looked like an eye with a pupil when it came. Ingredients were placed around the middle of the pizza, 3 of 4 cost extra. 4 stars for ambience, flavor and quality with demerits for quantity and greed..

J R.

Yelp
Fantastic place. My wife and I stopped here for lunch during our vacation. The owner was very welcoming and served us some fresh burrata imported from Italy to start. It wasn't on the menu but was a great suggestion. Absolutely delicious. We ordered a margherita pizza that had fresh ingredients. They had some good microbrews on tap as well. The atmosphere is hip, rustic, and beautiful. Altogether a great meal and above-average service as the owner recommended other attractions in the city on our way out. Our favourite meal in the city on this trip.

Dani B.

Yelp
I came here after a recommendation from a friend who said it was the best pizza in the city... So how does Nina's stack up? Well, I'll start off by saying the crust is quite unique - almost like naan bread. Toppings are great, and combined tastefully. Great sauce, good amount of cheese, and everything came out quickly, which is always appreciated. Overall, the pizzas are nice and light, but not the best option for an insatiable eater. Aesthetically, Nina's is super cute. From the customised table-tops to the wood-stack lined walls, this place screams Neapolitan pizza. Did I mention the wood-burning oven imported FROM NAPLES? Definitely a fun atmosphere for groups or parties and there's something on the menu for all palates. Major plus: food and drinks are quite reasonably priced. Is Nina's the best pizza in the city? Well, I think that's still up for debate. Would I come here again and recommend it to my friends? You betcha!

Alexis B.

Yelp
Really good vegan pizza in a cozy environment and great neighborhood. Although the menu was entirely in French, our server helped us out where we fell short on understanding. Authentic Neapolitan style pizza.

Katelynn O.

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant. Great, modern ambience with friendly wait staff. The food was amazing. We ordered the pomodoro salad, the Funghi, the pizza de la Luca and their tiramisu for dessert. Each course was phenomenal. Their spicy olive oil was a unique and delicious treat - so save your crust to dip it. The price point is a little high for pizza; but the food more than made up for it. We would eat here regularly if we were local!

Laura D.

Yelp
Great pizza! I'd heard of this place through New York Time's 36 hours series and was excited to try the rabbit sausage and pistachio pizza-- that particular pizza was probably four stars, very interesting and unique but not exceptional. Partner ordered margarita pizza and loved it. We came at the end of the night and the vibe was great. Wonderful service and a cool place to hang out. It was outside the main tourist stretch of Old Quebec where we spent a fair amount of time. So glad we came out for Nina's pizza. It was a great experience and great food.

Steve T.

Yelp
Our first time in Quebec City. Saw Nina's recommended in an article and decided to try it. We had two different flavors that were suggested by our server - they were both awesome! One was white pizza with mushrooms and cream cheese and the other was red sauce with salami and green olives. So good!!

Candace B.

Yelp
Excellent pizza, we really enjoyed it. My husband daughter and I all had the margarita
