Went to Nina's on Sunday morning, May 5th. Was a tad bit on the busy side- my drink was delicious. Had a new bumble bee latte with Almond milk. Atmosphere was very unique- every section gives you a different vibe, which is very different from the likes of suburbia. I will say though, the one thing that did disappoint me was the service. Two different interactions, and not very friendly. First, when ordering my drink, i had mentioned that i had never been, so many options, what is a fan favorite?? Crickets....okay. Let it go- move on to noticing the bumble bee drink- ohhh- this looks good, any feedback? Again, crickets. No, "hello", or "your drink will be ready on the far side," or "you're all set- thanks!" nothing. Just helped the next customer.
When waiting for my drink, I had heard 2 of the girls speaking about what seemed like a customer they had just had, and not saying very nice things. Don't know the full extent of the story of course, but coming from someone who has worked in customer service their entire working career- probably not something you want to be talking about in front of other customers.
My order came up, I was standing right there- i say "oh, looks delicious!"- again, crickets. Not sure if this is a generational thing where its just that difficult to make eye contact or say anything to a customer- but your younger staff needs a little help in regards to this. You'd be amazed at the impact they can have on a person's day- and vice versa. Not saying for a second that the customer is always right, but in this situation- I was really looking forward to checking this place out. Had been on my list of coffee shops for awhile. So, while the atmosphere and coffee were a delight, the staff lacked the warmness that most coffee shops give off.
